An excellent urban fantasy. Great story and really well developed characters.

This is the fourth book in the Dark Creatures Saga, an Urban Fantasy from Ella Stone. This book is set primarily in modern day Europe and the UK. There is some romance and a brief non-descriptive scene of an adult nature.

This series just gets better with each book. The writing is beautiful. The story is well paced and quite intense. The constant change of scenery as they travel from country to country keeps the story alive and interesting. Each story arc is well thought through.

Familiar characters are continually developed and new characters added. They are well written and very individual. Naz, the main female character, has grown exponentially since book one. Her experiences, losses and forced positions of responsibility have made her grow up fast.

Naz’s relationships with Calin and Oliver have changed. She’s angry about the death of her Mother being kept secret and she is struggling to deal with that grief. She has the added responsibility of trying to find a cure for her friend while managing the ever growing band of shifters who all want her to take on the mantle of Alpha. The Vampire Council are far more devious and dangerous than had first been thought and in order to try and stop them, Naz must put her own life and safety on the line. It’s a huge gamble and it’s one that might not pay off.

As ever, the book ends with a hook and I am definitely caught on it. I cannot wait for book five.

My goodness! I was expecting an action packed book, but nothing like this! The tension climbs higher and higher with each chapter, I read it in one sitting. After the catastrophic events in book 3, the Wolves go into hiding, trying to stay safe and as far away from Juliet and her trying to subjugate all the wolves. Naz is so wrapped up in her fear and anger, she has major insecurities. But the vampires are increasingly their numbers and something needs to be done. Naz is at odds with herself, especially after the events with Oliver and she will do anything to save Rey, which leads to them meeting Rhett. I loved the addition of Rhett, that was so unexpected yet felt so right. What a wonderful character. As the story progresses, it's great to see Naz finally coming to terms with her role and purpose and she leads them into a daring heist into the very heart of the Vampire stronghold, where everything falls apart. A wonderful fast paced tale, expect the unexpected, where emotions are rampant and scheming abound. The love triangle was unexpected and I'm very curious to see how it will pan out. With a coven of witches ready to aid her, Naz and her wolves are set to correct the wrongs. Whether they are successful or not in the final chapter of this series, I'm dying to find out, in what promises to be an explosive conclusion to the series.

This series just gets better and better! This book was non-stop action and suspense. Naz’s insecurities still plague her but I feel she is definitely coming into her own as an Alpha. The characters are so well written and their plights just sucked me in from the start. I cannot wait to read what happens next to Naz and her pack!

Safely tucked away in France, Narissa, Oliver, Calin and the pack discuss their future plans, including how to rescue Rey from the darkness. Narissa finds herself trapped by her position and her anger at Oliver and Calin. She needs to reach down deep to come up the leader everyone seems to expect her to become. There are plenty of emotions to get beyond, for all of them, and lots of action to boot. I'm still enjoying the whole story, but I never like it when the heroine loses it and gets too emotional and does the wrong thing at the worst time. It doesn't make me excitedly anxious, just pissed off. But, that's just me, and it's only a tiny moment during the whole adventure. Things are getting more intense and I am happily running to book 5!

Buying each book in the series to read next is always the sign of a great series. We have followed Narissa from humble beginnings where she falls for a vampire, has a witch for a best friend and then discovers she is a werewolf!

Each book builds on the next, developing the characters along with the story. This penultimate book, brings several ideas together and prepares us for the finale. Can Rey be changed back to the person she once was? Will Calin and Rhett survive? Will Naz save the day and live to tell the tale, and if so who will be her partner?

The stakes grow to new heights in this installment! Naz was a little annoying at times, due to her own hypocrisy. But I appreciate that she makes mistakes and has faults, perfect characters aren't fun to read about. I want to see the relationship(friendship or otherwise) between her and Oliver grow more, they're so fun to read about. But we do get to see Naz take on other unexpected responsibilities in order to protect her friends. Overall, a thrilling setup for the finale!

I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

Heartbreakingly reveals found here.

As the fourth in the series you can expect to see and get to know amazing characters and the visuals Ms. Stone leaves you with as the characters travel are incredible to say the least.

I hate when my favorite characters hurt and I can’t turn pages fast enough to help them but I loved that I was so invested in them I “felt” their pain.
This book is definitely worth the purchase!

This series is really good. New characters join us on the journey in this book. Nez has 2 guys that are interested in her but both have disappointed her, so she takes off to quell her anger. That’s when we meet the new characters. Lots of action again and soul searching. Look forward to reading the next book as usual this one ended on a cliff hanger.

The author ramped it up for us in this 4th and it was fantastic.
So much happening with tons of action that I think I bit my fingernails down to stubs.
And the cliff hanger has my anxiety raising to unsafe peaks.
I can't say more than I need to start the next book to see the final outcome.
Great book!

Defintely non-stop action and a veritable rollercoaster of emotions. But if every there was a time Naz needed a swift kick in the behind or knock upside the head, this was it! OOOOO...she made me mad! But the pressure is on and hard decisions must be made. My heart was aching at the cliffhanger. Where is book 5?!

Good book. Exciting and engaging. But I got really tired of every chapter ending on a cliffhanger.

I enjoyed the book but this part of the story wasn’t as intriguing as the last one. I’m curious what the next book will reveal.

Great book

Narissa has met up with Calin and some of her moms pack. She is furious with Calin that he did not tell her about her mom.
