It isn’t a big surprise Katie Knight ended up writing romances about the stellar, studdly men of the Navy SEALs; after all, she was a K-9 trainer for the SEALs and met her own Navy SEAL hero husband while preparing one of their K-9 partners for combat. A few years after their marriage, her and hubby decided to retire with their K-9 partner, Sam, to raise their children in the Midwest. It wasn’t long after that before Katie decided to write her own stories featuring the men of the SEAL teams and the women who love them.
When not imagining dangerously romantic scenarios for her heroes and their feisty heroines, Katie enjoys hikes with her husband and Sam, spending time with her children, and long runs (on and off the beach).
Okay…… We need to talk about the name of this book….. Who the fuck thought this was a good idea??? Seriously, this is literally why they say “Don’t judge a book by its cover”. Luckily I was in the mood for a cheesy book, because there was no way I would have ever read the description for this book if not for the ridiculous title.
Was that the plan all along? Make people stop because with an awful title and hope they give it a shot? If so, stupid plan…
Dear Author, you really need to fire the person who thought this was a good idea or the person who didn’t suggest changing the name.
Wondering why I picked it? Guys, its called “The Seal’s Pregnant Christmas Lover”, why wouldn’t you pick it. I mean, seriously like I said how do you not pick that when you are craving a Cheesetastic Hallmark Style book on a Sunday.
I got what I asked for. This book was like watching a 5 year old Hallmark Movie (not the new ones, they are legit now). The whole time you are shaking your head and smiling. At times wondering why you are liking it, because it well…. Its not really good, but its so good at the same time. You know who the bad guy is from the beginning and you spend the whole time trying to figure out why they don’t know.
Also I love when an author can call her main characters an “Alpha” and then has his internal dialogue say……
“His own smile grew like a flower in the sun, and Max couldn’t fight it anymore.”
In the end, it was utterly ridiculous and stupid, but I actually enjoyed the entire thing. It only took me a few hours to read it, and it was just what I needed. The last few reads were so good, and I really needed to just have something light and fun with no expectations.
On a side now, this author definitely needs a new proofreader/editor though, man I don’t think I went a chapter with out an error or 5.
Amelia learnt from an early age that the only one she can depend on is herself. She is now the proud owner of her own bakery and is proud of the life she has created even if getting pregnant by a man she has no way of contacting wasn’t part of her plan.
Max is a Navy SEAL who is in his hometown visiting his family while on leave when he decides to visit the bakery that his family considers their rival. When he walks in he is the one surprised to find out the baker is not only the woman he spent one steamy evening with but that she was carrying his child as well.
With someone out to sabotage Amelia’s business will Max have to choose between his loyalty to his family and the love he is starting to feeling for Amelia and their child?
This was a great little read, it’s a Halloween turned Christmas romance. It isn’t a slow burner and Amelia and Max have some hot chemistry. This was a good romance and an easy read. I read this book as an ARC.
Amelia and Max started out as a one night stand. When later Amelia discovered she was pregnant, she was alone with no idea how to tell the father. When they meet again, he discovers her secret and she learns a secret about his family that will make her life anything but easy. I enjoyed their romance and how each discovered where they wanted to end up. Now if the could make their dreams a reality. Plenty of family drama and a mysterious person trying to harm Amelia and her business kept me wondering what was next. I enjoyed this small town romance!
This book could not decide what it wanted to be: military suspense, surprise baby, small town, or holiday cute. It really needed a stronger editor to pick one of the paths and refine throughout - without that it ended up feeling like a Beta draft vs a ready for publication ARC. The writing wasn't bad, but the characters were inconsistent and their growth arcs (including supporting characters) were not well enough developed. In particular, the heroine punished the hero for not perfectly hitting the balance of alpha protective and sharing his feelings. Yet with one half-hearted apology, she completely forgave his absolutely awful family who had treated her horrifically. I had the 'bad guy' figured out at the 40% mark and would have DNF'd at 50% (could not care about either MC) if I had not agreed to write a review. I'm usually in for any one of these tropes (military suspense, surprise baby, small town or holiday novella) but this was just a mess of all of them that didn't work together in tone.
A Halloween treat turns into a Christmas surprise present
The SEAL’s Pregnant Christmas Lover is a drama and mystery filled story about Amelia and Maxwell. Amelia had grown up in foster care and it was hard. But she worked hard and became a baker with a dream of opening of her own bakery. Finally that comes true in a sweet small town but not everyone is who they appear to be. At Halloween Amelia meets Max and they have a toe curling night of passion. Afterwards they go their separate ways without knowing who each other is. Max is a Navy SEAL who comes from a somewhat crazy family. His father owns the bakery in town and it is a family affair. On Halloween he met Amelia and boy was it a night to remember for him. Since then he cannot get her off his mind so it is a surprise when he meets her again. Only this time he discovers she is owns the bakery that his family is so upset about, as they view her as their competition and there is only room for one bakery is this town. or so they think. When Amelia and Max meet again it is six weeks later and she has discovered she is pregnant. So for her it is a surprise to see him again as she had figured she would raise the child herself, not knowing who he was or how to find him to tell him. The protective and possessive Alpha in Max comes out full force as he wants to keep Amelia safe and look after her. There are more than a few back and forth on that as Amelia does not believe he really wants her but is instead he is "just doing the right thing" because of the baby. Add in the fact that someone is messing with Amelia's bakery and Max is doing double-time on trying to keep her and the baby safe while they try to find out who is behind everything. Is it is crazy sister? Will Amelia and Max find happiness?
This is an enjoyable book that is nicely written. I really liked Amelia and Max, but to be honest I wanted to shake him a couple of times because of his willingness to ignore the things that his family does with regards to Amelia. I also wanted to kick azz on his sister and father as they were not nice people at all. But Amelia is a fighter and is willing to fight for her dream. Along the way she also discovers that she can learn to put her trust and faith in certain people and not have it twisted and broken.
I received a copy of this book and am leaving my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
The Seal's Pregnant Christmas Lover by Katie Knight and Leslie North is a cute story of a one-night stand on Halloween. The participants didn't even know each other's names. Max went back to his SEAL team and Amelia went back to her bakery. On his next rip home, he wandered into her bakery. She had baby brain and was having a horrible day. She just blurted out that she was pregnant. His family owned the only other bakery in town. It made prize-winning cakes. She didn't make cakes. They still saw her as competition and were not very nice. Max didn't care. He would do the right thing, no matter what. Then weird things started happening to Amelia. Thankfully he was always nearby and saved her several times. The more time they spent together, the more they liked each other. Lack of communication was a problem. Then she'd had enough of how overprotective he was and showed him to the door. She regretted it immediately, but it was too late. He was at home, miserable. His family, however, came around.
Knight does this type of book well. Max is an uber-protective, uber-capabale guy who never envisioned himself as a father, or as a husband, until he did. Amelia was independent. All she wanted was a simple life in a small town, she and her bakery, and now, her baby. The plot is a simple one, the antagonist was predictable early on, but it made you want to keep reading, to see what would happen. It is an escape . . . a happily-ever-after with just a few roadblocks. I always enjoy Knight's SEAL books and this was no exception.
I was invited to read a free ARC of The Seal's Pregnant Christmas Lover by Booksprout. All opinions and interpretations contained herein are solely my own.
Amelia has opened a bakery in a small town hoping to find a sense of safety and family for the first time in her life. She decides to go out on Halloween but overhears the daughter of her competition talking bad about her. Amelia doesn't know why they have to enemies considering they serve and bake completely different goods. Amelia moves away from the gossip and sits down next to a really hot guy in a military uniform. Max is a Navy Seal home visiting his crazy family and part of the family who owns the rival bakery to Amelia's. Amelia and Max are attracted to each other and spend a glorious night in each other's arms. Amelia finds out she is pregnant after Max is gone and has no way to let him know. On top of being pregnant, Amelia is dealing with pranks and unusual things happening at her bakery. When Max walks back into her life, Amelia learns that Max is part of the family who owns the rival bakery and blurts out that she is pregnant with his child. Max wants to protect Amelia and his unborn child and suspects his family could be behind what is happening at Amelia's bakery. Will Max find out who is behind the trouble Amelia has been having at her bakery? Will Max realize that he loves Amelia? Will Max's love for Amelia and their unborn child lead him to leave the Navy Seals? Will Amelia and Max find their happily ever after? I really enjoyed The Seal's Pregnant Christmas Lover by Katie Knight. The Seal's Pregnant Christmas Lover has hot chemistry, drama, intrigue, family, and a happily ever after. I would highly recommend getting The Seal's Pregnant Christmas Lover and any other book by Katie Knight.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Amelia is a strong, independent woman who happens to come from foster care and was finally able to open her own bakery in a small town. Since she came from the foster system, she is not one to accept any help and hasn’t really learned how to accept that she is worthy of being cared for. Maxwell is the son of the other bakery in town who is a Navy SEAL. He is gorgeous, strong and really doesn’t feel appreciated by his family (especially his father).
When Amelia and Max meet on Halloween, they are both attracted to the other and figure why not? It’s only a one night stand and they can be done with each other. Of course things don’t work out that way and Amelia ends up pregnant. Since they did not exchange names, Amelia had no way of finding Max and just figured she would raise this baby on her own. 6 weeks after Halloween, Max walks into Amelia’s bakery and is shocked to see her in there, let alone to find out she is the owner who his family has been up in arms about. Amelia is also shocked to learn that he is the son of the “rival” bakery. Once Max finds out that Amelia is pregnant, he goes into protective mode – it’s his thing – always wanting to protect. But with Amelia’s upbringing, she only thinks that Max is doing this because it’s the right thing to do and not because he likes her.
This story is filled with drama, action, passion, some twists and a little mystery. I read this book in one day and couldn’t put it down. I look forward to reading more from these authors.

A sweet, romantic holiday romance. Max and Amelia's romance covered the last 3 holidays of the year. It goes to show you that every pregnancy is different. They met on Halloween and she had a baby bump before Christmas.
There was one line in the book that really irritated me. All of these awful and dangerous things were happening to Amelia. Max's dad and most of his sisters had been mean, spiteful, hateful, and unpleasant. I can understand Max not wanting to suspect his family. But when he had this thought, it was took much for me.
"His dad could be a complete ass and Kelly was a diva bitch extraordinaire when she wanted to be, but beneath it all, they were good, decent people."
NO, JUST NO!! I know this is fiction, but this crap happens in real life. His Dad, Kelly, and at least one of his sisters treated Amelia like trash. They ridiculed her, bad mouthed her, were mean, nasty, and spiteful to her. Good, Decent people DO NOT treat other people that way. You CANNOT be a 'complete ass' and a 'diva bitch extraordinaire' and a good decent person at the same time. I am so sick of people making excuses for bad behavior. That is my rant for today.
I do have to say that I thought the real culprit was very obvious. With each subtle clue that was dropped, that person became even more obvious.
I did like Max and Amelia together. They had great chemistry. In spite of my rant, I was glad when Max's family started to redeem themselves. After clearing a few bumps in the road, Max and Amelia made it to their HEA.
I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy of this book received via Hidden Gems.
Yes, I do tend to read Leslie North books - partially for the titles. The titles are so ridiculously absurd that they tend to draw me in - chuckles.
This book is about Max, a SEAL home on leave for Christmas. He isn't a part of his family's bakery - unlike the rest of his siblings and father. When he gets home, all he hears about is a new bakery opening in town and how they are going to steal all their business. It doesn't matter that the new bakery focuses on desserts (pastries, cookies, etc.), while Max's family's bakery focuses on cakes and breads. Two totally different markets - but Max's sister is still spun up about the new bakery and her father seems to follow suit.
Amelia is the owner of the new bakery. She moved to a new town to start over - she has no family after all as she grew up in the foster care system. One night she decides to go to a bar on Halloween really just to overhear what people are saying about her - she has never had a lot of confidence and she feels by being "in costume" she can listen to people more freely. She didn't expect to meet someone that she had a one night stand with. And ended up pregnant. Without knowing his full name or the fact that his family owns the bakery that seems to be at war with her.
When weird things happen to her bakery (rude notes left demanding she leave town, exploding microwaves, oven doors that fall off, a fire, etc.), Max must choose between the mother of his unborn child or his family. I really did enjoy this book - it's a quick read and enjoyable.
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. The opinions stated above are mine without biases.
The SEAL's Pregnant Christmas Lover is a heart-warming story about two people who fall in love against all odds. Max (a tough Navy SEAL) and Amelia (a down-to-earth baker) meet at a bar and after what seems like a one night stand, Amelia discovers that Max got her pregnant. Amelia assumed that she would never meet Max again and ultimately have to raise their baby by herself, until one day he happened to walk into Sweet Cheeks, her bakery, and they meet again. Over the next few weeks Amelia has to deal with the fact that some unknown culprit is clearly trying to destroy her livelihood, all the while she is falling farther and farther for Max. While the two try to pin down the villain, they become closer and their love starts to blossom.
I'm going to be honest and say that I enjoyed this book way more than I thought I would. Amelia and Max seemed like a very unlikely pair but they ultimately ended up being a perfect match! Their witty banter and obvious chemistry made the story very heart-warming and enjoyable. Add in the mystery element, and the suspense surrounding the attacks on the bakery and this story is the perfect winter read. I was able to figure out who the villain was about halfway through the story so that was a bit disappointing, but I'm normally good about that so it's not too big a deal! I would definitely recommend this story to anyone who enjoys light romance in a wintery setting, with a bit of suspense involved.
Thank you to Netgalley for providing a free copy in exchange for an honest review.
Oh, my gosh, was that a bad read in so many ways! This book had been one that I went back and forth on at one of my favorite book review sites; I love Christmas romances, but SEAL romance isn't the typical subgenre I read. I wish I hadn't chosen it. I knew it was bad just a few pages in as the heroine talks about the hero as a “stud muffin” and sizes up his “bod.” Ugh. The cheesiness factor certainly continues to the book, and reading it felt like watching a train wreck—horrified, but I couldn’t look away. The book had massive errors in grammar, punctuation, and usage, including some bizarre ones I don't typically see, like missing terminal punctuation. I did receive an ARC copy, but the published version appeared to have the same language issues in the preview portion. The book had not only a dire need for a copyeditor and proofreader; it also needed a developmental editor as well. The book combines too many romantic tropes: holiday romance, military romance, a little suspense (though we know who the bad guys are from the start, nearly), surprise baby, Romeo and Juliet, etc. It felt like a story in search of a coherent plot, which it didn't have. I never felt like I connected with the heroine, as she seemed silly and not too bright. All in all, I found this book to be a massive waste of time, offering little enjoyment.
I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.
Amelia Cafferty has saved and opened her own bakery in a small town hoping to live the dream. However, the existing bakery sees her as a rival and is doing everything they can to get her to close up shop and leave. She is known as being a ray of sunshine so doesn’t let her rivals get to her, as far as she is concerned there is room for both of them. Maxwell Bloom is the son of Amelia’s rival, he looks nothing like his family, he is tall and full of muscle. He comes home on leave and hears a Halloween party coming from the hotel and decides to go in. He meets Amelia but only knows her as Wednesday Adams and she calls him G I Joe. They end up spending the night together. Six weeks later, he is on leave again just as Amelia finds out she is pregnant. Amelia knows she will be bringing up her child single-handed until Max finds out and wants to help where he can. He only has a short time to try to get his family and Amelia to become friends but someone is out to get Amelia and Max is worried it may be his family. This was another great read by Leslie North. I was able to work out who the villain was but this did not detract from the story. Amelia is looking for love and a family of her own and Max is love-shy and very protective. I voluntarily received and reviewed an ARC copy of the book.
*Disclaimer: I received a complimentary copy of this book via NetGalley. This in no way influenced my review and all opinions expressed within are entirely my own.
I snagged this book because I absolutely love Leslie North and because I was looking for something Christmas-y. While it isn't super-loaded with a Christmas feel, it's a wonderful romance.
I absolutely loved Max and Amelia! From the one night stand on Halloween to all the crazy stuff that happens ... it was so sweet watching them fall for each other. I have quite a bit of respect for Amelia, deciding she's going to go it alone when she finds out she's pregnant. But the way she and Max connected almost instantly, I was hoping for a happy ending for both of them.
This book has not only romance but a mystery. Shortly after Max and Amelia start spending time together, bad things begin happening. An exploding microwave, an oven that tries to crush her, and more! I spent a good portion of the book trying to figure out who was attacking her and narrowing down my own list of suspects. Let me tell you, I was surprised in the end who it turned out to be. Not expected.
The SEAL's Pregnant Christmas Lover was the perfect addition to my Christmas reading list and I hope we hear more from Max and Amelia in the future!
Katie Knight is an author whose books I seek out because they are well written, with well developed characters and have plots that are a bit outside the usual. The SEAL's Pregnant Christmas Lover did not disappoint me.
Amelia is looking for a place to belong, and she had hoped to find it when she opened a bakery in Brightshores. There is another bakery in town, but it specializes in elaborate cakes, not the cookies and pastries she baked. However, the owners see Amelia as a threat. The only good thing that has happened in the past few months is the very hot one night stand she had on Halloween. Although the outcome of the encounter was a pregnancy, that did not seem too bad until Amelia discovers her baby daddy is Max Bloom - whose family owns the rival bakery. When microwaves start exploding, Max is determined to keep Amelia and their baby safe, even if Amelia objects. As threats to Amelia escalate, the attraction between Max and Amelia heats up as well, leading both to rethink their priorities.
I thoroughly enjoyed The SEAL'S Pregnant Christmas Lover and recommend it to anyone who likes some mystery and suspense with their romance.

Oh, the heat is HOT, and the physical chemistry is captivating so be careful you may just get burned all the heat coming off these pages. There were some "oh no" "oh wow" " what the what" moments and add in uncanny mishaps, ups, downs, shenanigans, intrigue, and suspense the good kind that makes you turn the page until there are no more to turn. Amalia’s life hasn’t been easy and it isn’t going to get any easier. She follows her dream of opening /owing a bakery and it was everything however, others thought two bakeries in the same city was one too many. They set out to make her life difficult or at the very least force her to run. At a Halloween party she meets Max and it knocks him to his knees after one night with her and will do anything/everything to protect her due to the mishaps happing at/in her bakery. He couldn’t believe his family would do anything to hurt another person especially one they didn’t know but someone who is innocently trying to just run her bakery just like them. So will they figure out who is sabotaging her bakery and who wants her ran out of town also, can they find their own path without family interference to happiness.
I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. Amelia had no idea that her one night stand on Halloween would bring such complications. She finds herself pregnant with no way to contact the father. Amelia decides that she will raise the baby on her own. She would not ever put a child thru what she has gone thru. She runs a bakery that has garnered the interest of her competition. Max is a Seal and just so happens the be the son of a baker. When he walks into her shop one day, he is very happy that he has found her. He finds out she is pregnant and that is just the icing on the cake as far as he is concerned. Max has to make her understand that he wanted her before the pregnancy, that they can have a future. They have a few obstacles to get past before they can have a happy ending, including his family. I really enjoyed the characters and storyline of this book.

Wednesday Addams meets G.I. Joe. After growing up in foster care and not feeling like part of a family, Amelia moves to a small town, Brightshores, to open a bakery. She has competition - another bakery, and the Bloom family is none too pleased with her. A one-night stand after a raucous Halloween party with a hot SEAL in town for the weekend leaves her with a forever gift. She's pregnant. And someone is out to sabotage her business. This is probably my favorite book by this author. Amelia and Max have great chemistry together, and early on, they seem headed toward a happy forever. But when his SEAL tendencies to take over and protect kick in, all bets are off. Fairly early on, I figured out the "who" in the accidents at her bakery, but the "why" eluded me for a while. Max was a great buffer between Amelia and his family. His sisters seem fairly unlikable for a good part of the book, but they turn out to be terrific friends, right when Amelia needs them. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
AWESOME - Love it! This is about Amelia and Max (or should I say the whole Bloom family). This book had it all from romance to action with poising, explosions and all. I guess this is what you should expect from a SEAL! Amelia is new in this small town and decided to start up a bakery as the town only had one other, so a little friendly competition wouldn't hurt anything. That was where Amelia was wrong as the Bloom's are very competitive, but not to the extremes of what was happening to her. Max is a SEAL who while on leave during Halloween is at a bar and ends up meeting Amelia and having a one night stand. Fast-forward six weeks later and she is pregnant. Now Max needs to get his family to back off but to his surprise the one he next suspected is the one wanting to get rid of Amelia until it is too late. You will never guess to who this is but it is awesome overall, now I hope the sisters get a story.

Amelia met Max at the local bar the night of Halloween and had a hot night together but they never exchanged names. Weeks later she finds out she is pregnant but she knows she can raise a child on her own as she has survived the foster system and built her own bakery. When Max walks in her bakery door after he comes back from a military mission she tells him she is pregnant and he all but runs away but comes back to tell her he will help but before he can leave her shop things happen that threaten her life so he decides to help find out is his family is to blame since they also own a bakery in this small town. Loved how Max has become protective of Amelia and helps her in any way that he can and when his family finds out about the baby they all embrace her. It is a surprise from her past that is responsible for all the accidents that are happening in her bakery so you must read to find out.
The book has a great description and the plot is also great, the format and the content was a little slow to get into. Even though their bakeries could work together to make the community better one teams against the other. I guess little towns have those families who feel entitled and are afraid of change. But is the enemy closer than she thinks and will her new found relationship with an over protective Navy Seal be her saving grace in more ways than one. We start with one holiday and roll into another. Her one night out has more complications than just the uninitiated war she has with her rival bakery, now she is pregnant, single as far as she concerned and can not stop thinking about the father, and not just because she pregnant. Don't worry he is having a similar reaction but his little family drama has gone on to long and he needs to work this out before someone really gets hurt or worse.

Another fun read from this talented author Katie is fast becoming a go to author for me She writes wonderful alphas that finally find the woman for them and are then willing to do whatever they need to win them and keep them safe.
Amelia is a product of the foster system but hard work has finally allowed her to open up he very own bakery in a small town the only problem is it is obvious that someone doesn't want her in the town and accident and incidents keep happening To make matters even more confusing she has just discovered she is pregnant from he one night stand with Maxwell a hot as sin Seal she met at Halloween and she doesn't even know how to contact him to let him know he is going to be a father. Then she discovers that he is actually part of the family that owns the other bakery in town the ones she thinks are behind her woes. Can she trust him and can they have a future together You will have to read to see

I love a good accidental pregnancy story and this book did not disappoint. It had a sweet and charming heroine, a sexy protective hero, a night of passion ending in a surprise pregnancy and even a bit of mystery to add to all the fun.
I loved that Amelia was a burst of sunshine and always found the positive in any situation. This included her surprise pregnancy resulting from her first and only one night stand. Max is everything you want in a hero. He treated Amelia with caring and kindness all while being a protective alpha man.
The mystery of who was trying to ruin Amelia was a nice twist that kept me eager to turn the page and see who it was. Not to mention the descriptions of all the amazing baked goods left me hungry for something sweet.
Overall it was a delightful holiday story that brought many smiles to my face and left me in good spirits!
Okay, so this time we actually have a story somewhat. First, the two main characters meet at a Halloween party and have a one-night stand. Six weeks later she finds out she is with a child. Amelia who owns a bakery in town is dealing with the other bakery which is upset that she opened and feels that they should be the only one really? When Max the baby daddy comes home on leave and must decide on to return or not to the Seals. He finds that Amelia is pregnant and also that not only is his family bad-mouthing her business but he thinks they are also sabotaging it as well. The more you get into the story the more I found to actually like Amelia and her strength her fight and her grit. As for Max and his family other than his mother his family didn’t really act like one. Overall, it was a good book and was much better than the last Seal book I read from this author. Worth the read. I received this book from Netgalley.com I gave it 4 stars. Follow us at www.1rad-readerreviews.com
Spoilers - Amelia meets Max on Halloween and have an intense time together. Her dream is a bakery of her own and she opens hers to the ridicule from the other bakery in town. Amelia sees Max again and finds out he is part of that family, the same time she finds out she is pregnant with his baby. She was brought up in the foster system so having a family of her own is precious (baby) and she will never give it up. The characters are determined (some good and some very bad), and strong in their ideals. Suspense hits from many directions as her bakery keeps having issues and things happen around her. Stress about the future hits hard and not knowing who exactly is behind it all takes its toll. Max is there for support, but they have major miscommunication which causes a lot of grief. The killer was a complete surprise, but believable. The ending with the holidays was perfection.

Amelia’s positivity and general happiness is addicting especially when you add all of her bakery delights. She is just a ray of sunshine even with her impending single motherhood and a string of potentially deadly mishaps. Max is the strong, protective SEAL that uses his actions to hide from his real emotions. The safety of Amelia and their unborn baby is his priority...to a fault. Their realtionship is slow going and tentative, neither of them know how to handle a one-night stand into parenthood. Of course, all the crazy things that has been happening to Amelia and the fact Max’s family bakery is in direct competition with her and filled with unbearable tension, the drama is unpredictable and at times scary. I completely enjoyed this holiday romance and the happily ever after that follows.

Feelings bloom for a sweet, sweet sweet future The SEALs Pregnant Christmas Lover by Katie Knight sure hits the sweet spot. Amelia is supercharged sweetness matched up with the ultimate protector SEAL in Maxwell. Max is as confused as he is protective and Amelia is as positive as she is independent. The plot of this book is two-fold and as emotionally compelling as the suspense. Personal danger to Amelia is as much of a magnet for Max as is the desire to get to know one another. Despite their internal denials, they both want the same thing. Danger and single-minded focuses prevent them from seeing the other’s perspective. Overall, this exciting, sweet, steamy and emotional read was very enjoyable and as satisfying as the most decadent bakery treat HEA.
