They called me the villain. Homewrecker. The other woman. But there’s something dangerous about mistakes. You don’t realize you’re making one until it’s too late…
“You haven’t changed at all,” Bridget said to me that day. Those words hit me hard. I left, ready to start a new life for me and my daughter. Now, years later, I’m working hard. Doesn’t matter how complicated it is or if the guilt gets to me. I’m alive and he’s not. But life throws me a curveball when I’m not expecting it. Intense grey eyes, killer smile, and the determination to tear my walls down. He knows my weakness, and a man like him is never afraid to use it against me. My four-year-old daughter. I’m rewriting my story, unprepared for him. And I’m not ready for what destiny has in store for us. Nicolaus Novak just might become my friend, my lover… the man who helps me to discover I deserve a happy ending… my unexpected savior.
Susana Mohel is a USA Today best-selling author whose stories sizzle like the sunshine in her Southern California mountains. Her fast-paced, angsty contemporary romance novels transport readers to a world of spunky heroines and hunky heroes who find their way to a happily ever after… with plenty of spiced-up moments along the way. When she’s not writing, Susana can be found wandering the trails along with her husband or creating chaos in her garden.
Another fantastic book from the author. This book is about redemption, forgiveness, and fully living your life. Not just going through the motions.
Some of you may not like Gina, at first. She made a mistake; she was young and reckless. She spent years feeling guilty, ashamed, regretful, and couldn’t forgive herself. Single mother and has sworn off all men until she meets Nicolaus Novak, aka Nic. I love the instant chemistry between these two.
At first, Gina says no and knocks Nic off his game. But then fate steps in and Nic is not taking no for an answer and keeps persuading her.
I love these two together. I think we all need a Nic; he wears his heart on his sleeve regarding Gina and her adorable daughter Olivia. Not only that, but I love Gina. Hear me out, she has regrets and is an amazing mother. She sacrifices her happiness for her daughter. Gina’s story needed to be told.
After finishing reading this book, I felt so many emotions. Grief, sadness, relief, heartbreak, happiness, admiration, and most importantly, love. I love The ending the author understood the assignment. The added bonus is her daughter, what a cutie, and so smart. Unexpected Savior is a must-read.
Gina's made mistakes, many mistakes. However, she's moved beyond them now and is just trying her best to raise her daughter away from her past and all her bad behavior. Then she meets a man, Nic, who's ignited her interest in men, which had been in a decline since her ex ditched her and her daughter, Olivia, for a younger woman. Though Gina turns Nic down, numerous times, she knows eventually she isn't going to be able to resist him. Will she be able to give Nic more than just her body? Or is she too scarred by her past to give her heart?
Nic's world is tilted off its axis by Gina and her adorable daughter, Olivia. He's determined to get them in his life even though Gina has repeatedly turned him down. He knows she's the one, he just has to convince her that she and Olivia belong with him.
I loved Nic and Gina and Livy! Of the three, Gina did the most character development. I admit to questioning her in the beginning when her past came to light, but really she turned out to be a great character who just had some growth ahead of her before she could feel solid and able to give her all to love, to a relationship. Nic was absolutely swoon worthy, a charming sweetheart who fell instantly for a special woman with an even more special daughter. If you are in the mood for something with emotional substance, crazy intense chemistry, and a beautiful new family, I highly recommend Unexpected Savior. It definitely deserves its place in the Cocky Hero Club.

I definitely can relate to Gina on many levels; this book was excellent I couldn't put it down.
Gina has made some mistakes over the years. Something tragic happened in the past, which still eats away at her. As a single mother raising her 4-year-old daughter Olivia, she has no time to date.
Until she meets Nic Novak, a handsome stranger. At first, she is hesitant and wants nothing to do with Nic, but he doesn't give up that easily.
Gina and Nic's chemistry was incredible, and I loved how Nic was with her daughter Olivia because let's face it, moms will always put their kids first.
What can I say, another fantastic book by Susana!! This book was emotionally sweet and oh so swoony!
Single mother? Yes please! But this story is about more than that. I didn't know how to feel about Gina at the beginning but the author does a great job of showing the mistakes people make can be redeemed. Gina was lost, feeling guilty and doing what she could for her daughter. Then in walks Nic and the world gets thrown off its axis but also put right back together again. I loved him and the chemistry with Gina was intense. I couldn't put this down.
Susana Mohel penned a great story to go with the Cocky Hero Club world. Nic and Gina had a fantastic journey. Acceptance, forgiveness and love made this story so captivating. It is a sweet read this will have you finishing the pages in one sitting!
I LOVED THIS BOOK FROM BEGINNING TO END! It's my favorite by Susana Mohel so far, because I couldn't help but fall in love with Gina, Nic & Olivia from the first pages, the plot is somewhat complex, but I think the moments of tension are worth reading how sweet and adorable these three characters are, AND THE ENDING! 😍👏 Knowing the identity of the Unexpected Savior was one of my favorite things.
Gina is a young, independent, hardworking and very responsible woman, she's the mother of little Olivia, a charming girl who stole my heart immediately, but Gina has made some big mistakes throughout her life, experiences a great feeling of guilt and has decided to punish herself by being a full-time mother and distancing herself from men, something that is not easy at all when the insistent Nic unexpectedly crosses her path.
I think Gina is the more complex of the two main characters, the situations she has lived through, especially having been "the other woman", have left her in a very bad place emotionally, which broke a lot my heart because it's quite obvious that she is not a bad person, on the contrary, she accepts her mistakes and desperately wants to apologize, even if she doesn't know how to do it. It was also a bit sad to read her dedicating herself exclusively to Livy, although that also let me know how much she loves her little girl, and how important they are in each other's life.
Nic is lovely, a kind, simple, little cocky, because otherwise he wouldn't be in this universe, and it was very easy to fall in love with him. From the first time he sees Gina he knows that he has to get close to her, what he doesn't expect is that she will constantly reject him, let alone fall madly in love with her and little Olivia, who becomes the perfect accomplice to win her mother's heart. In addition, Susana has a great surprise prepared for her readers, because there is something else that unites Gina & Nic, and they're not their feelings for each other.
I have to say that I really liked the way Nic & Gina met, it was very original, fun and sexy. I LOVED the naturalness with which Nic included Livy in their relationship, how cute he was with the little girl and how he thought of her as part of his family, believe me, nothing I can write here will do justice to how beautiful the story between these three is.
One of the things I liked the most was that Gina felt so comfortable with Nic in such a short time that she confided to him her deepest regrets and concerns, I really liked that neither of them took so long to tell their secrets to the other and have the plot focus on the important issues without unnecessary drama. I loved Gina's attitude towards the end of the book, I think she is one of the best female characters ever and it made me very happy to read her story.

Ms. Model, beautiful novel! I am not criticizing you, however I absolutely adored this moving novel. I will admit to calling it my second favorite! Simply because I fell completely in love with another moving novel first. Yours is totally moving in a different way! First of all, your heroine, Gina. An amazingly strong young woman haunted by past self. Beautiful, incredibly so, that her mother brought her up to believe "women like them have nothing but their looks for...", my point is made. However, this is no ordinary young woman, she takes tragedy and learns to be an adult, a mother, a successful career woman, all while fighting immense guilt, "men pigs", yes I used the correct term. Men pigs who believe because she is born they way she looks means she is only good for one thing. But. This intelligent woman fights back in that area and wins. Yet, years later she still sees the Gina who is ugly and filled with guilt. Along comes a random seemingly blue collar worker, Nic who sees her playing dress up in a department store while buying her daughter needed school clothing. I say dress up because she knows she cannot afford to buy the dress up shoes, they were a slight bit of fun she took for herself. She's a CPA and is very concious of money and needs. Nic, however, sees a beautiful woman who a pair of red bottom shoes makes her legs look even more stunning. Nic, has become a man on a mission. But , Gina is about drinks, dating, going out, or partying of any kind, and learned her lesson years earlier. She is mother and a business woman who feels she has all she deserves, needs, and wants. Nic isn't over though, he meets up with her again, without success. Third time's a charm, and she gives him her phone number and finally agrees to an evening out, only evening she has a child. Eventually things begin to pick up, Olivia her daughter becomes sick and must come home from daycare. Gina calls Nic to cancel, and Nic stuns her with okay understand, later? This reinforces her fears of being involved with anyone again. Yet, within and hour or so Nic isn't the door, loaded with bags of smoothies high in vitamin C, especially, chicken soup, all home-made, ,and himself loaded with caring for Olivia, but also Gina. Now from here the story begins to change dramatically. Olivia's daddy's teenage witch, accusations of stalking by the new husband of the woman who was married to the man she was with when tragedy occured, and more. Basically, Gina's past is trying slamming her back into that immature young woman, but she is filled with guilt, that child was filled with fun and uncaring. Gina is not her any longer. Patience is Nic's key, and love, though not expressed, we readers can see. Now, I am totally moved where this novel goes next! You must read to find out! But allow me to say, Ms. Mohel, Vi & Penelope chose a terrific writer for this novel spun from Simon's novel. You took someone most would think got what she deserved, and then she made out from it??? You made this woman a real human being who grew up, changed, learned so much, and keeps herself reserved for her daughter and business, and is frankly a beautiful woman inside and out, now. Nic, what an amazing man, full of compassion, respect for the extremes of youth, and knows all have pasts and regrets including himself. Amazing! I loved the Cocky Hero Club gave you this novel to write. When reading Simon's story and hearing the woman he fell in love with talk about her past and widowhood, Gina is that "girl" held responsible for all. Easily done Gina lived the man she was with did not. Someone to blame alive is so much easier than a dead person. And WOW, I did what I said I wouldn't, I said too much! This novel is moving, and every woman whose youth had an act of immaturity can relate. And we all have experienced some type of immature regret that stays with us forever. But, Ms. Mohel you beautifully handles the entire saga of Gina's life till present with grace and well written words to express everything. Quite well done, actually and hard for me to be moved this much by a series novel! KUDOS! I LOVED every moving moment!
Well done in author choice, Ms Keeland and Ms. Ward ! Ms. Mohel is a testament to your writing ability, as well as guiding and chosing the right writers for The Cocky Hero Club series!
Wow, Gina didn’t need a saviour, but she got one anyway – 5 Star Romance!!!
Wow, this is my first read from Author Susana Mohel and one that I am rapt to have picked up. I was instantly into the story and loved everything about it from the plot through to the characters. Well most of them anyway because every story has it’s villians.
From the moment he set eyes on Gina, I absolutely loved Nicolaus Novak’s honest and fresh charm. He was genuinely interested, and even as I felt the written chemistry between them, Gina was wary and sticking to her guns. I totally admired her strength.
Gina Delmonico owned that she was a total knockout, and that her mother taught her to use her looks and not waste time on an education. She’d also learned early in life that frivolity and bad life choices had consequences, and hers had been severe. She considered her four-year-old daughter to be a blessing, and put her first, but now she dealt with her baby-daddy and his baggage in the form of a selfish girlfriend, had a qualification and a business, and absolutely no love life – just the way she planned to leave it for quite some time.
Nicolaus Novak was everything that every woman wanted. He just couldn’t believe that this super-stunning woman wasn’t interested, and was used to going after what he wanted. This is not to be confused with creepy though!!!! He did back off, but fate seemed to be putting her in his way and I just loved his consideration and respect that he showed the gun-shy and feisty Gina that he wanted to be around her. This is a favourite line of mine ... “I don’t need a savior, Nic. I’ve managed my life this far without a man in it.” He smiles and leans even closer to me. ... “I know,” he whispers. “I don’t want you to need me but I want you to want me.”
What I loved most was after the moment of truth where via a late night text conversation, Gina risked everything, and aired every bad moment of her past, Nic was angry, and her heart dropped. So did mine; for just a moment ... “Me: Are you angry? Nic: Of course I am. A married man took advantage of you. You were young and inexperienced.”
Seriously people, how can you not fall in love with this handsome, sexy and big-hearted man. This whole scene almost had me in tears. He was as enamoured with the chatty and outgoing four-year-old Olivia as he was with her mother who had lost faith in herself and her future. Little Livy was a beautiful part of the story and I adored her.
I have to say that I absolutely loved everything about this addition to the Cocky Hero world, especially the twist that Ms Mohel put between Nic and Gina. If you love the single parent stories with strong admirable characters, then you need to be checking this one out!! 💜🖤
I loved everything about this book. This is a story about redemption, second chances, guilt, grief, and forgiveness, not only the forgiveness of others, but learning to forgive yourself.
Unexpected Savior is part of the Cocky Hero Club. It follows Gina, who was a secondary character in Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland's British Bedmate (f/k/a) Dear Bridget, I Want You. If you read that book, then you might remember Gina was the woman who was with Bridget's husband at the time of the accident that took his life and left her alive, but injured. If I thought a character couldn't come back from that horrific incident and redeem themselves, I was wrong. Not only did Gina redeem herself, but my heart really ached for her. The guilt and pain, both physically and mentally that Gina has lived with is really heartbreaking.
Now, a single-mom to a 4 year old daughter, Gina is trying to move on, but it is hard for her. What I LOVED about Gina is that she didn't make excuses for her behavior back then. In fact, she was very opened about who she was and the choices she willingly made. She acknowledged she was young and reckless and took responsibility the role she played. I understand why Gina was the way she was. She wasn't raised in the best environment and was basically groomed to believe her body was her ONLY asset and what would get her what she wanted in life. So that's what she did without thinking of the consequences, but Gina has come a long way. She has her own business and is dedicated to her daughter, Olivia. When she meets Nic, the last thing she wants is to get involved, especially with a tempting men like him.
I really enjoyed how the relationship between Nic and Gina blossomed. From the beginning he accepted that being with Gina meant also being with Olivia. He was patient and kind and so respectful of Gina, especially once she shared her tragic past. I was a little bit skeptical because I felt Nic should have been honest with Gina about who he was before they were intimate, but I still loved him. I also really loved that after everything, Gina asked for time for herself. She realized that the only person who can save her was herself.
It's always a risk to read a book from an author that you haven't heard about. I'm not saying that it's a bad thing, it's just that we can't predict how we will react to it. Will we like it or not? Will we read it all or leave it behind? Well, those questions crossed my mind a few times, but there was something in the blurb that spoke to me. Like I already said, Susana Mohel is a new author to me and I think that I'll be following her. Her writing appealed to me and the need to read was intense. Unexpected Savior is her latest release and explores the lives of Nic and Gina. This book is a part of the Cocky Hero Club. Gina had made many mistakes in the past and the guilt keeps stalking her. The only thing that she really wants is to raise her daughter the best she can and live life day by day. When Nic enters her life... Nic is one hot muffin... He's sexy and charming and he knows it. Where the beautiful Gina and her daughter cross his path, he realizes one thing... He wants them both. So so sweet. So good. This book was just perfect in every way. Great plot, well written, intense, and emotional. Each chapter gave me the boost to keep reading non-stop. It was super engaging and I couldn't stop thinking about it. The characters worked perfectly with each other and I just adored Olivia. Such a cutie pie. Super sassy. There were parts of the book that I wanted to slap someone silly, jeez, stubborn much? But then, there were others that I wanted to hold them and promise better days. Not only do we have an emotional story, but also a hot as hell one. Fighting our inner demons is hard but we can reach forgiveness if we believe. It was hard to see the pain that walked hand in hand with one of the characters, but love conquers all. It was the perfect premier for me from this author. Loved the story. Great book Susana. When can I have more?
Gina Delmonico is a young single mom that has been working hard to give her daughter, Olivia, the best life she can. Gina is a bombshell and she knows it, but she also knows that her daughter comes first no matter what. Nicolaus Novak is a thirty something year old man that loves his life and his business. One day he sees a gorgeous woman trying a pair of shoes at a mall and invites her out, she ignores him. Later that day he sees the same woman at a grocery store and has to invite her out again. She declines but ends up having to ask him for help. The woman, Gina, ends up being everything he always wanted in life and more. Nic and Gina have an epic story! He does everything and more to woo her. He’s a dreamy man who knows what he wants and that’s Gina! She was involved in a car accident that ended up injuring her more than her back, the hospital were she was sent to had a snarky lawyer that wanted to take advantage of Gina but she was smarter and won! Now the hospital has to pay compensation but there’s an issue… you guys won’t believe! 😱 I absolutely loved this book! The spark between Gina and Nic is one for the records, her daughter Olivia is the cutest and smartest kid ever and brightens up the story so much! I cannot praise this book enough! It gave me all the warm feels! Susana truly delivered an outstanding story. I love Nic and Gina so much and hope we get to see more of them. And even maybe more of Olivia as a grown up. ❤️
PERFECT title for a seriously wonderful, empowering book While I read this book, I wondered what conflict could come up between Gina and Nic so when it comes, I was blown away. I loved all these characters: Gina and Nic obviously along with Olivia, Nic’s family, Mrs. Reynolds and even Vincenzo, eventually. Gina, now early 20’s, has made so much of her life after the tragedy with Ben. She’s a great mother to Olivia and CPA to the companies that she works for. Nic appears to be just a person fate throws in front of her until we get the full story. Nic, 34yo, tries to tell Gina several times what he does for a living but when he realizes its consequences, he’s fearful of what that will mean for them. He’s fallen so hard for Gina and Livy, her daughter. Beautiful and poignant ending. I loved this book and you will too if you enjoy real people with regrettable pasts finding their forever love and an “unexpected savior.” I volunteered to review an ARC of this book and I’d give it 8 steamy stars if I could. Integral to the plot and current circumstances, we find out that there was cheating in the past. Gina’s curvy delicious body put her in bad situations when she was admittedly, young and stupid until she must learn to tame her impulses as an older adult and young single mother. Still loved it!
I adored this story. This was a heart fluttering, passionate, single parent romance. It was beautifully written and was just an all round perfect story.
Gina is a single mum. She works hard to provide a good life for her daughter, Olivia. Gina carries a lot of guilt about mistakes from her past and maintains strict control of her life to ensure her heart isn't broken again. I loved her as a character as she functioned so well independently and is such a great Mum. But then in walks Nic and the attraction is instant. These two are meant to be. He in no way diminishes her strength and achievements in everything she has done alone. Instead Nic is a new source of strength and support for Gina and Olivia. He fits with their life and finds ways to fill the gaps for them. Nic is handsome and charming and just about perfect (in a domineering, dirty talking way!)
This is why I loved this story so much. It was just a gorgeously formed love story. Nic knows what he wants and he goes for it. He is patient and doesn't let Gina's guilt or fear stop him from proving their strength together. They overcome their bumps in the road to a perfect HEA.
I’ll admit it was hard for me to like Gina for a lot of this book. I hate cheaters and what she did to Bridget with Ben in British Bedmate was deplorable. She knew he was married and just didn’t care. She only cared about screwing around with him and she had to suffer some serious consequences for her actions.
A chance meeting at a store has Nic smitten with Gina, although he doesn’t know her name but he definitely wants to get to know her. He’s intrigued mainly because she shows no internet in him. He’s used to getting what he wants immediately but Gina is proving to be a challenge.
I loved how Nic was with Gina’s daughter Olivia. He didn’t shy away from a single mother. I was glad Gina gave Olivia’s father the talk he needed to straighten up. He finally realized he was losing precious time with her.
I was a bit surprised at the connections between Nic’s job and Gina’s past. When the truth’s come out, how will this new couple handle the fallout.
Loved the narration with Emma Wilder and Teddy Hamilton.
This story was a well-written one. I found myself unwilling to put it down, even to sleep!
Susana Mohel is a new-to-me author that impressed me. The way the author crafted those twists and turns in the story, showing connections to times and events that had previously seemed innocuous... I definitely know that she will be on my watch list from now on.
I liked that while Gina knew her mistakes were big, costly ones, she was trying to do her best to ensure that her daughter didn't have to suffer. I loved how patient and sweet Nico was with her, and I loved the way he took to Olivia.
Nico & Gina's story is heartwarming, inspiring and just an all-round good read. It is more than a story of atonement and second chances. It is a story of forgiveness, self-acceptance and moving on with your life.
I recommend this story unreservedly & wholeheartedly. These three main characters will have you rooting for them from the get-go.
I voluntarily read & reviewed an ARC of this book.
Gina has accepted responsibility for the choices she has made in the past and still feels the guilt from the hurt that those choices have inflicted on others. She has created her own business and is trying to be the mother she can for her daughter Olivia which means keeping men at a distance. When she meets Nic she just assumes that he is another man who only sees her body rather than the person she is but she couldn’t be more wrong.
Nic was attracted to Gina from the moment he saw her but his attempts to charm her aren’t breaking through the walls she has built around her heart. He is determined and steadfast in his pursuit of mother and daughter and isn’t about to let her past destroy the future they could have together.
Nic is the perfect mix of sweet and swoony as he proves with everything he says and does that he wants to be the man that both Gina and her daughter need and seeing their relationship evolve was everything you could ask for and more.
Gina has a past filled with mistakes, and it's not exactly been easy for her to correct it though she's really doing her best to make a good life for her daughter. Of course with these mistakes, she's done some serious work building her wall around her heart to almost impossible to destroy levels, and frankly, I totally could understand & sympathize with her. Enter Nic, a man who wants to make her his but she's certainly not going to make it easy for him as she truly has trust issues with not only him, but herself as well. Nic is very focused though, and he starts to tear down her walls brick by brick as they truly are perfect for each other with all kinds of chemistry. However, pasts never seem to stay in the past so when it comes back, will they weather the nasty storm together?! Or will it break them apart?! You know what to do to find out, and trust me, you don't want to miss out as I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Gina has made some mistakes in her past, mistakes that changed her life and the lives of others. It is something that has always weighed heavily on her mind. However, she has also used those events to change her life for her and for her daughter, Olivia. She is hardworking, independent and will do anything for her daughter.
Nic is a character that is easy to love. The moment he see’s Gina he is drawn to her and knows that there is something about her that he just has to know. When he meets Livy, he is a goner for the little girl, too. Instantly Gina and Livy become two of the most important women in his life. But he also has some secrets that could change things between him and Gina.
I loved how quickly Gina and Nic bonded. I love that Gina felt comfortable and safe with Nic and was able to open up about her past and the mistakes that happened. The chemistry between them is absolutely fantastic. I love that Nic doesn’t push Gina, that he is okay with taking things slow. He wants to prove to her that he isn’t like the men in her past and that what is happening between them is different. Plus, he is fantastic with Livy and so sweet with her. It melts my heart.
I am so glad that Gina got the redemption she deserved, because despite what happened in the past and what others may think she has grown as a person.
If you’re looking for a single parent, redemption romance this is one to check out.
4.5 Stars for Unexpected Savior ( Cocky Hero Club) I love my gusto the cocky hero world because I can guarantee I will find a hero to fall for and I have found so many new authors to start following. This is single mum Gina and Nik’s journey and boy do they have a captivating tale to tell. From the moment they meet sparks fly but Gina is not willing to say yes to the playboy because her 4 year old daughter will always come first and she needs to consider her happiness as well as her own but she wasn’t prepared for Nik’s determination. A man who is not used to being turned down pursues the woman who has captured his heart so can he convince Gina to become his friend, his lover and hopefully give her the happiness he believes she deserves …… This is a heartfelt story that will touch you on so many levels, it’s full of love, it’s romantic, its has some twists and turns but it was Nik’s relationship with the adorable 4 year old named Olivia that took this story to another level. I highly recommend this wonderful read to all romance lovers.
Unexpected Savior is a very grow up emotional story, one that will pull many feelings from you, well done Susana Mohel a great story.
I am sure we have all done things in our past that if we could go back we would change, unfortunately for Gina, it has not been that easy, but although the guilt is still with her she now spends all her time raising her 4-year daughter as best she can while her ex comes in and out of her little girls live when he feels like it. One chance meeting a store brings her face to face with the dynamic Nic, who is cocky enough that it will be easy to win over this beautiful woman, but Gina has locked up her feelings and heart but she can't help being thrilled by the attention Nic not only shows her but more importantly her daughter Livy. But when the past meets the future can this pair survivor it.
This is a fantastic addition to this amazing series. Gina was young and in love when she made a mistake, and she left to make a new life for her and her little girl. Gina is an amazing mom, and she has spent years feeling guilty, ashamed, and unable to forgive herself, instead of living life to the fullest. Nicolaus is instantly drawn to Gina and Olivia, but he has his work cut out for him to persuade Gina to take a chance of them being together. These is an intense and undeniable chemistry between Nic and Gina, and they complement each other perfectly. This is a beautifully written emotional roller coaster story which is filled with redemption, forgiveness, regret, heartbreak, twists, and love, which leads to an amazing and addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
This book started so weird for me. I felt like I started in the middle of a story, lol. But I soon got hooked to the story.
Gina was such an amazing character, she had so many problems in her past but now she is a single mother and she had so much she had to deal with. She has guilt and regret and shame that was standing in the way of her having the love of a good man in her life. Nicolaus Novak saw Gina in a store and what he thought would be a quick hook up turned into something so much more. He couldn’t believe it when Gina told him no to going out for a drink and when he ran into her again he knew it was fate. But it was going to be an uphill battle getting her to say yes to him. But lucky for him fate was on his side 😊
I loved the story. I loved how patient Nic was with Gina and he didn’t overwhelm her. He just let things flow and develop naturally. Little Olivia was just too adorable for words. I was definitely intrigued to l earn more about Gina’s past and why she had so much guilt. Meeting Nic was the best thing that happened to her and exactly what she needed 😊
This was a different kind of story. Gina has been through so much an accident that cost the life of someone she loved who was with someone else. Lives were destroyed, but for Gina, she's just trying to pick up the pieces. When a stranger approaches her, she does the only thing she deserves and runs. However, he is almost everywhere she is and she's trying really hard to make sure that she and her daughter live. As soon as Nicolaus sees the woman that makes his heartbeat he will do whatever he can to get her. But for him, he has to move mountains to show her that she is worth it. When their worlds collide though can he save her from herself? And can he prove she deserves to have love, laughter, and a life?
I've read and listened to many of the Cocky Hero Club stories, so this one really surprised me with the twist of Bridget and Gina's connection. I. Loved how Gina had somewhat found a way to come back from what happened to her with the accident and all. Although she still wasn't living her life to the fullest. She meets Nicolaus, he turns her life upside down. I loved his persistence and no matter how many times she said no he continued to pursue her. Even when he found out that it was her case at the hospital they were still paying on. By then he had fallen in love with not just Gina, but also her daughter Olivia ( who had him wrapped around his pinky). This couple had their ups and downs, but still got their HEA.
What do you do when you make the wrong choice? Do you learn from it? Pick yourself up and start over? Or do you give up? For Gina, the mistake she made cost so much. However, she made the decision to be better. To learn from it and strive to push herself as hard as she could. Taking her sweet little girl Olivia, she has worked extra hard to persevere from her past choices. When she runs into Nicolaus a chance encounter throws her very carefully laid plans in the air. They form a friendship and there is so much chemistry, but Gina holds fast to that mistake that happened. Yet, Nic finds a way to break down her walls and Olivia loves hanging out with Nic.
I love how protective Nic is of both Gina and Olivia. Gina has been so strong and to watch her start to allow him to take care of her, until she has to push him away again. It is time for her to truly heal, but can she do that with Nic by her side or will she fall back into old habits?
Susana has yet to disappoint me with one of her books. Each and every single one is amazing and her hero's are all perfect for their heroines. This book is no exception. We are given the chance to see a little more depth within the pages and is it perfection. Let’s be honest, when there is a cute 4 year old involved in the pages you know your heart will melt because there is just something special about a child’s innocence and purity. There is heat in the book as well as some crazy twists but throughout the book we are given pure Susana, which is great.
Love at first sight, A chance Meeting Drawing two unexpecting souls in the same direction?
Well for Gina Delmonico her life has been a big mess that she is trying to overcome, and doing what she has to do or so she believes. To continue to Torment herself and avoid a past that haunts her at every waking moment. But a chance meeting has her thinking things she knows she shouldn't. Can Gina Finally move from the past to the present and accept the chance to finally be happy or will she continue to slip further into the darkness that overwhelms her days?
“Men Always promise a lot of fun, to give you the best time of your life, love you forever and all that…”
Nic Novak has got to be the hottest man ever to be put on this earth, the most outgoing compassionate filled man with the looks that could bring any girl to her knees. But Nic will soon learn there is more to the woman he has been so fascinated by ever since their slim but fast meeting. can Nic help her see what she is missing or will he allow the woman of his dreams to slip through his fingers once and for all?
Unexpected Savior had me from the get-go, so much emotion was brought to the forefront in this amazing and heart-felt read, Susana has me floored with how much this story flowed page after page. Susana is a very talented writer with so much more to give that I can't wait for more in her wonderful, steamy, worlds and characters that she brings each and every time.
Authors please please stop using the word GAH!! No one uses it in real life & is it really a word? So many better options to use. Good story, as my title implies it has some seriously cheesy moments, especially the sex scenes, those were cringy-mainly because she created these great characters that were trying to be more than their pasts, but then she needed to spice them up and it just got cheesy! Otherwise great romance and great well developed characters.
This was my first book by Susana Mohel and I was immediately in love with the story. Gina has made huge mistakes in her past and has suffered for it but her little girl is the bright spot in her life. When Nic sees Gina, he knows he will do whatever he can to be with her but she keeps him at arms length for awhile. You will get all the emotions with this book. I really enjoyed it and will be looking up more books by this author.
