3.5 stars. I will start off saying I really was excited about the synopsis of the story. You’ve got a young group of friends in highschool, trying to figure things out. There’s a birthday and a tragic accident. And then we’re following the rest of the friends as they grieve in different ways, with also the potential of Angel coming back for a second chance. Loved this synopsis.
I started getting a little lost in the middle of the story though. At one point I was like wait which point of view are we reading from. I wish the structure was a little more clearer and the flow between characters and the time frame kind of merged together a little bit. And at times I felt like how the friends were written were maybe a little older than 16, I know kids party but I was like man they’re drinking like they’re in college.

Accountability 3.5 The fantastic four were dealt wildly different hands in life. Being a teen can be tough in the best of circumstances without The proper balance of freedom and restriction. Parents have a tough time deciding what that balance is and sometimes I get it right sometimes I get it wrong. Either way they may occur the wrath of their teenager.
The author presented four typical teenagers and yes unfortunately even Bennie‘s situation has been proven to be more and more common for many children. His storyline for me was the most compelling and I was most invested in his along with Joshua story. I could connect with them, but not so much with the heroine. I think the story moved well and the characters were interesting with well written storylines. There were a few SPAG errors that were distracting. As Benny and Joshua’s storylines were the most compelling, I am hoping to hear what happened to Joshua post coma.
This is a YA read. I was lured in by the cover and from the synopsis I was like "I must read this book." It didn't disappoint. I stayed tuned in for hours because it was just that good.
Have you ever heard the sayings: "Never question God?" or "God knows best? "Well sixteen yr old Angel Baxter wasn't hearing that. Angel had questions and she was persistent about receiving answers. I loved the suspense of this story. Although it had errors, the storyline was powerful enough to still earn my 5 star rating.
If you know of an YA reader, gift them with this book because it delivers a powerful message. I enjoyed it so you may will too. Nice to read a book without profanity and overrated sexual content.
I'm happy I read Angel. It had every emotion. I love the character Angel. Without telling the story, I loved how everyone come to gether towards the end book. Family is all we have. This book allows you to dare to be diffrent. Knowing that there for be choices in life that will lead us astray. Just keep pushing forward and we will over come anything with God's power and love ❤
Angel Baxter wanted a second chance at life. However, if she didn't disobey her parents, she wouldn't have needed that second chance. Not only that, but her cast of friends also had challenges of their own to get through. After tragedy strikes, each of the friends go on an unforgettable and twisted ride that no one expects. All the way up until the last page, C. Rayne weaved a heck of a tale in this coming of age story. I was not ready for that ending.
Received a Paperback copy of this Novel, and when I tell you I took this Novel everywhere?! I mean everywhere! Couldn't seem to put it down. The overall idea is fresh and intriguing, and what I loved the most was how the author was able to creatively show the individual testimonies of the characters, touching on subjects that I know a lot of teens go through today. I can't wait to read this author's other Novels as this one is already a personal favorite!
One of the best books I have read this year. Not going to lie at first i was on edge but then when it picked up this book turned me every way but Loose. I love how it ended it has me questions my choices in life currently and I needed that reminder. Today is not promised , we all have choices. May we all choose wisely.
