When your house is only one or two people this is terrific. Lots of variety and because the recipes are small batch you can try one every couple of days.
What a great book!! I've grown so tired of baking a batch of anything only to put most of it in the freezer or give at least half away. While giving home baked goods away can be very satisfying, sometimes I'd just prefer to whip up a small amount that can satisfy my sweet tooth, offer an easy clean up, and not leave me with multiple math problems as I try to halve a recipe. Small batch baking is definitely a handy trick to have in my back pocket. I haven't tried any of the delicious looking recipes yet, but reading each one has left me drooling, and as soon as I give away the 9" x 13" sheet cake I baked last night, I am absolutely starting with the lovely 8-slice lemon loaf cake!
None of the recipes were particularly inspired, inspiring or creative - and the ones that still sounded interesting still had problems with batch size.
If your recipe yields 6 servings, they keep for 3 days in the fridge, and each serving has 120% of your daily maximum amount of sugar, that's not a recipe I will ever make.
I'm not really a small batch baker - I prefer to make enough sweets for my entire RPG group. That said, sometimes I do want to make something just for myself, that's when a smaller recipe is perfect. I'm very interested in making the blood orange crinkle cookies.
So many delicious recipes.I want to try them all. The brownies. Oh the brownies. I’m obsessed. So good. You just can’t go wrong with this book. Highly recommend
Beautiful photos accompany these recipes for small batch treats. Not your typical mug cakes or slice & bakes, there are some decadent options included. Check it out!

One of my favorite things to check out from the library is cookbooks. I can usually pour over them and make one or two standout recipes without the need to own them. After hoarding this book from the San Francisco Library for the last two weeks and looking at it daily, I decided to finally review it (and purchase my own copy).
Randomly, I had purchased a silicone mini donut pan, and mini cast iron skillet at Daiso and lo and behold I now have great recipes for each. Yields are the perfect amount to get your dessert fix and were very simple. So far I have made the mini cereal milk donuts, the lemon bars (in a 9x5 baking pan which I would never have thought to use) and the blondies and all were delicious and fun! The perfect book to use for holiday baking.
My favorite recipe is the chocolate cupcakes. I have made those cupcakes on a whim time and time again and have never had an issue. I have always been happy with how they turn out. I love the concept of this book.
