Good book with advice and tips for beginners attempting to run a marathon for the first time. Some experienced marathon runners may not find it that useful, but stills being interesting and easy to read

Helpful information with lots of background and science behind it all. Overall, a fairly useful book if you’re a beginner runner learning how to navigate a marathon. If you’re a dedicated runner that is already familiar with training plans, fueling, and recovery - you probably won’t find anything new or groundbreaking in here.

Lots of useful information and potential strategies, particularly for those first timers or less experienced runners. To be fair, I have not run a marathon so I am judging based on my experience with running (a couple of half marathons). If I do decide to run a marathon I will definitely take a hard look at the plans laid out in the book and the other advice included.

Some helpful tips and full of sound science. Training plans might be useful in future. I have to admit to laughing when it stressed the importance of rest in the week leading up to the marathon. A little monster had other ideas!

Comprehensive guide to running that really ticks all the important boxes. Nothing entirely new here for me, but good reinforcement and reiteration of some things I needed a reminder or second perspective on. Glad I read it.

Nothing revolutionary here, but a salad and complete review of marathon training. I thought the information on planning your nutrition was the most interesting part.

A good guide. Really well written (easy to follow). I will return and give it five stars if I achieve my marathon goal (sub4).
