Narrating a story without a pen has been my initial style. While crafting, I enjoy working around intense emotions and getting into the psyche of my characters. Women characters excite me more and I feel there is a lot yet to achieve in giving them a proper representation. Romance, friendship, relationships, feelings, unconventionality are my forte. This is not your usual romantic love story where boy meets girl, they fall in love, then marry and live happily ever after.
But it is a story about second chances, about the true realities of life, about dealing with both the good and sad parts of our existence, about how people deal with tragedy, about how they come out of it with time, and how they move on and embrace life again !
"Change is part of life and it becomes easy when change is embraced with an open heart." This is the line which best describes this story.
Read this different story about Arun and Megha's life journey together. A relatable story close to reality rather than fiction or fantasy. I liked it 👍😊
A Matured Take on Second Chances and Coming Together of Two Battered Souls
When life offers you a second chance, in this case a marriage of two lost souls, due to unavoidable circumstances, what it brings to the table: happiness or sorrow? Just posing a question, if you believe in second chances.
This short and easy-to-read novel is about Arun and Megha. Arun had lost her wife Lavanya for cancer, while Megha had lost her husband Akash in a road accident.
These two people marry without their liking only for the sake of their three children—Aparna and Akhila (Arun’s daughter) and Pari (Megha’s baby).
Will they continue just as namesake husband-and-wife duo or will love blossoms between them as time heals the wounded souls? Read it know.
This book had so much opportunity to explore the deep human emotions of grief, loss, and melancholy between two widowers who had married.
However, the author had just scratched the surface as she had bigger plans, or rather larger canvas, to right a happily-ever-after story, making it a typical Indian family drama.
Nothing wrong in it, but it was all rushed and erratically paced in less than 100 pages (just my view).
I loved the initial part of the novel. An unusual pair coming together with their weird awkwardness in their approach with zero chemistry and completely different background. I was reminded of Tamil movies like Mouna Ragam by Mani Ratnam and Rhythm by Vasanth (if you haven’t, do watch these masterpiece movies).
But later, the story got diluted a tad bit and focused more on the children and their growing up and their relationship with their stepmother and stepfather.
I would have loved if the author had played with the character arc and narrative style in a relaxed and organic manner so that the reader in me had some breathing space to connect emotionally with these characters.
Overall, I would recommend this mature romantic drama for a quick weekend read. You may even love it, unlike me. Cheers!
Forever : It is all about the journey together by Adhiti Aravind
The most painful moment of our life is losing the most important and lovable person. When they leave us all of a sudden leaving behind pain, trauma, adjustment and a lifeless life, our life becomes hell and miserable. Also it's an unbearable pain which cannot be erased easily.
Arun and Megha both have lost their loved ones and are now bound together for the sake of their kids. Both are extremely in love with their late spouses but now the kids are their only priority. They have seen many ups and downs and challenges but they had a strange connection which allowed them to be with each other at every phase of life. They have proved themselves as the best parents and guardians.
But that's not enough right??? The bond of the husband and wife need love, affection and the romantic qoutient too. Let's see the journey of Arun and Megha and how they are going to erase the distance between them.
The author has beautifully scripted a story where the 3 generations are described and the relationship is showcased. A very real life scenario which you could easily relate to and could enjoy thoroughly.
This is a story of a Happily Ever After with a twist!
Life is never easy, but with a loving partner by your side, Life seems imperfectly perfect in every way. But what if this love of your life is cruelly snatched away by fate and you have a full life ahead for you and your children.
This is a story of giving a second chance to yourself and your life. The story of Megha and Arun who have lost their partners and are now together for their children as family.
While being parents to the children, will they both become friends and more or will only have a formality sake relationship with each other is a question.
They say te heals everything but this time, will time really heal things and make them start afresh with each other and make them fall in love again or not?
If you want to read a nicely weaved emotional story then this book is a perfect pick. The protagonists Arun & Megha got married for the sake of their kids & kept living in the past for long. I liked the way author has kept the pace of the story quite normal & even if it’s a short story no event is rushed. Emotions developed on its own pace between Arun & Megha & in stead of getting swayed away they accepted each other with maturity. Hats off to Adhiti to take us on a emotional roller coaster ride with such a short read. Loved it & completed it in just 1.5 hours.
My only request to the author- such an emotional theme needed a full length novel as reader in me was not satiated in just 86 pages.
The book went on like Amol Palekar's acted movies which have comedy, romance, intersting songs but you miss something. Quick read and interesting but it is like dwait.. Two different things we are seeing this family of Arun and Megha.. Sun and cloud.. Interesting names to the characters.. Akash and Megha made for each other and Arun and Megha one or the other!! Still we could only see them from away not living with them.. Anyway a fast read and a refreshing one.
This book was a sweet read. A second chance in love romance. Arun and Megha's story is a great example that second chance romance is possible. The author has penned down a really great story. Emotional are high and the pacing is good. The story has fluid narration and simple language. It is not just a fictional story but depicts a truth that is much closer to what happens in reality. I liked this book.
Such a close to real life situations book. Losing one's partner is something no one can relate to. The emotions are portrayed beautifully. It's like a second chance relationship with Arun and Megha helping each other by taking their own time in moving on from their previous partners to become life partners and being hands on parents for their kids. Kudos to the author Adhiti Aravind for penning down such a wonderful book.
A lovely second chance novel. Two broken hearts come together to build a life for their kids. What they take on as responsibility soon becomes shared life and joys it brings. A simple story, no complications, other than of course life. A good short read. Totally worth your time! Kudos to the author for bringing out a sweet simple clean story for a Forever!
