The last person I would ever expect to be waiting on the front porch for me in the middle of the night was Everly Higgins. To say I was both surprised and thrilled to see her would be an understatement. I hadn’t been able to stop thinking about her since we met last fall when my sister, Greer, fell in love with Everly’s brother, Hudson.
When I see her bruised up face, I instantly want to hurt someone. The problem is, Everly won’t tell me who hurt her or who she’s running from. The only thing she’ll tell me is that she needs a safe place to stay where no one can find her.
Being a cop, I have the urge to unravel this mystery, but the other side of me simply wants to protect Everly from whatever it is she’s running from.
But as the people she is hiding from catch up with her, I quickly discover there is nothing I wouldn’t do for Everly Higgins.
I’d even die for her.
Looking for You is book six in the Boggy Creek Valley series. It can be read as a stand alone, but for a better reading experience it is recommended to read the books in order.

What You'll Find: ✔️Smalltown Romance ✔️Heroine In Danger ✔️K9 Officer Hero ✔️Suspense & Feels ✔️Multiple POV
Looking For You is the final book of the Boggy Creek Series and tells the story of Kyle. A K9 policeman in small town Boggy Creek, who gets a surprise when he comes home one night to find Everly (and her bruised face) on his front porch. Everly, who's been on his mind, ever since his sister married her brother last fall. She's come to him looking for a place to hide. And he finds he's willing to do anything for her.
This was a sweet ending to a fantastic series. It was heartfelt, while also having suspense that kept you turning the pages. Which made for a quick read. Everly is sweet. And Kyle is just one big ol' cinnamon roll of a hero. It did feel a little cliché for me. Even a little old fashioned if I may say, especially in the beginning.
But overall I enjoyed their slow burn to steam. And the ending was quite sweet. I am hoping we will see a story for Candace some day. I mean, I would love to catch up with this whole crew again too. Highly recommend checking this series out. It's a favorite of mine!
* I received a ARC via Grey's Promo in exchange for my honest review.
Talk about saving the best for last!! Omgoodness, Kelly Elliott did just that with the wonderful Looking for You. This time around we get Kyle Larson's story. The man who is the consummate best friend, amazing work partner to Hunter, and all-around dreamboat. I mean, seriously, he's in a book group for romance! You can't get much better than that IMO. And when he first meets his best friend Hudson's sister, Everly Higgins, sparks fly like nobody's business between them but it's short-lived when she decides she'd never give up her career/life in Alaska for any man. As months of pining for both of them suddenly ends when Everly shows up at Kyle's doorstep late one night, thus begins a race against time to find out why she had been presumably assaulted.
Wow. I have to say that I didn't expect this book to be as rich with emotion and full of excitement as it was for me. The whole storyline with everyone trying to figure out the mystery behind Everly's attack was such an incredible way to add to this conclusion to the Boggy Creek Valley series. With Kyle vowing to keep Everly safe no matter what, the truly beautiful moments for me were them together in his rambling house along with the best K-9 partner ever in Cat. She stole the show more than a few times as Everly finds her footing again in the warmth of his lovely home and falls not only for Kyle but his 4-legged companion. In fact, some of the cutest parts were when Cat would be jealous of this new woman in Kyle's life, nudging her nose between them or pouting when she had to leave their bed.
Including the edge of your seat intensity of all that transpires as Kyle and Hunter get closer to the truth of what happened to Everly, was a welcome addition to this book but never took away from the love story. In fact, it truly gave it a new level of feeling and I simply couldn't turn away.
But when it really comes down to what I adored most, it's those touching times where Kyle tends to Everly's every need and makes her feel so very loved that stole my heart. He is now my favorite of this Boggy Creek crew with Elliott showing a whole new side to the man who I thought was just a bit of a joker in spite of his sweet nature. Kyle is the perfect match for Everly and with all the gang present and accounted for, providing friendship, support, and understanding, it's no wonder she is rethinking her life and future and wanting to stay amongst those who will forever have her back.
With an epilogue that had me sighing with utter joy, Looking for You could not have been a better send-off for Aiden, Willa, Hudson, Greer, Bishop, Abby, Hunter, Arabella, Brighton, Luke, Kyle, and Everly. They each found the loves of their lives and I am beyond delighted to have been able to go along for each satisfying and tender ride.
**I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.**
LOOKING FOR YOU is the sixth and final installment of the Boggy Creek Valley series. It shouldn't be read as a stand alone. It should be read in the order the author intended to get the full effect of each book.
Finding Everly beaten and bruised on his front porch wasn't what he expected but he was going to do everything he could to keep her safe. Someone was trying to kill Everly and she knew the only place she'd be safe was with Kyle. She knew some of the people involved but she had no idea why they wanted her dead. She didn't want to bring whatever danger to her parents or her brother. Kyle was the only safe option.
I loved a more action packed story from Kelly Elliott. She of course had the swoon worthy male lead but the touch of action made this a different type of read than her usual, and I am here for it!! Kyle was the most in touch with his feeling of any of the other Boggy Creek men. I loved seeing how romantic, sweet and patient he was with Everly. Kyle and Everly was the perfect couple to finish up the series with. I highly recommend this series. I can't go wrong with any of these book boyfriends!
I was so excited to get Kyle's story! I recently heard the term cinnamon roll romance and this would sum up Kyle! He loves book club, helps his friends no matter what and is manly on the outside but has a big, soft center. He just wants what his friends have. Love. But the one person who has made him consider more, doesn't even live in the same state as him. I enjoyed how Everly knew she could trust Kyle when her life turned upside down. I liked how fast this story moved, the danger that was lurking and the chemistry between Kyle and Everly. I found myself consumed by this book and I didn't want to put it down. If you haven't read the rest of the series, do that first, but I highly recommend this book!
Now... we've all met and swooned over Kyle, since the very beiginning of the Boggy Creek Seres, he has been ever present with the whole gang, he's the best friend, the joker, and the protector and you would definitely want to a guy like Kyle on your side.
Then we meet or re-meet Everly, Hudson's brother from Greer and Hudson's book, Everly is a fiesty and very independent lady but she's not afraid to ask for help when she needs it.
Seeing these two together and you difinitely felt the sparks fly.
I loved the suspense of digging around to find out why she was taken, and what was about to go down even loved the calming influence of Cat the Dog!
Reliving what had happened to Everly certainly has you onthe edge of your seat, and I loved how Kyle wasn't afraid to show how it was affecting him.
I devoured this book in three sittings, or soaking,s I'm a read int he Bath type of gal! I had never been so clean whilst reading Kyle and Everly's story! I was always finding excuses to take a bath...LOL
Kelly's books are always page turners, add the suspense and you just get through the book so much quicker!
I loved the twists and turns it made for interesting reading, and getting to see how Kyle was knocked on his butt with the love he has for Everly. That's not to say that Everly wasn't unaffected either.
It was a really lovely story, and catching up with the others. NOW where is Boggy Creek, It needs a visit!!
Talk about a sweepingly romantic, tender yet steamy love story–but with an edge of suspense. Looking for You was a most satisfying way to end Kelly Elliott’s Boggy Creek Valley series while we revisited previous beloved characters one more time.
I am so sad that Looking for You is the final full-length novel planned in Boggy Creek. I’ve come to love this cast and their close bond, the locals who keep them all on their toes, and the location–Boggy Creek, New Hampshire–itself. Kelly Elliott has teased that fan fave Candace will get a novella in the future and possibly Adam will get a short story or novella, too. (Yay!!) But she made sure to usher these characters out in grand style... Read More
The cover of Looking for You by Kelly Elliott was absolutely perfect for the story. It was a slow burn romance that was sweet, charming and had a bit of suspense. Kyle was one amazing and steal your heart type of book boyfriend. He was caring, protective, charming and all in his feels in the best possible ways. Everly loved her life as it was, or so she thought. She was determined, independent and smart. When she finds herself in a dangerous situation, she runs to the last man that made her feel safe and cared for. When Kyle loves, he loves deeply and with everything he has.
Their journey was slow burning, but with each page you could feel their chemistry and connection building. I loved how easy they were with each other and especially loved the friendships and their connections as well. And Cat just stole the show frequently. I loved how she wanted to be a part of them and how she protected both Kyle and Everly. Looking for You by Kelly Elliott is part of the Boggy Creek Valley series and though it can be read as a standalone, reading the series as a whole provides a better reading experience.
While I am sorry to see the series come to a close, the author truly saved the best book for last. We have known it will take a special woman to capture his heart. I will miss the small town of Boggy Creek, and its characters.
While Kyle and Every are not new to us, they have been in previous books, it is now their turn. Everly has gotten herself in a situation, unsure what to do, and goes to Kyle. With his protective instincts, Kyle wants to make sure she is safe. But she is not talking, hiding from everyone, including her family. As the story comes to light, we get twists and turns. Who do we trust? Pages turn fast because the story is that good!
I will miss this group of friends, and I already know this series will be re-read.
Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.
Kyle met Everly when their siblings became a couple and from their first meeting the sparks flew. The only thing standing in their way however her career wasn’t conducive to a relationship so they didn’t pursue anything further. The next time they meet she is at his door injured and he will use all his skills as K9 officer to keep her safe and find out who is behind the threat.
After being hurt Everly knows she needs assistance and she knows that Kyle is the one man who protect her. As they investigate who is behind it and why the danger continues to escalate as well as the chemistry and feelings between them.
Kyle is everything you could want in a man and so much more. He is always there for anyone who needs him and when it comes to love he loves deeply and Everly is his perfect match in every way.
This is the sixth and last book in the Boggy Creek Valley Series. This has been a great series and how fitting that it ends with Everly and Kyle's story. Kyle could easily be your next book boyfriend as he is swoon worthy and so kind. He comes to Everly's rescue after he finds her bruised and beaten on his front porch. He's determined to get her to open up about who did this to her. The book was full of suspense and drama. Their chemistry is strong and it doesn't take long for feelings to develop. This is a book that I know you will enjoy. I read an advance reader copy via the author and Grey's Promotions and voluntarily chose to review it.

Looking for You is book 6 and the final one in the Boggy Creek Valley series by Kelly Elliott and what a way to end!!
We read about Kyle and Everly in the prior books and now it’s their time to find happiness but first it’s a wild goose chase to figure out who sent Everly into hiding, beaten, bruised and why…lots of twists, turns, suspense, sparks flying, chemistry, friendships, support, seeing old friends and so much more!
What an amazing series, while each book is a standalone reading in order gives you a better understanding of Boggy Creek Valley.
First off, this was a story that had me on the edge of my seat! I loved Everly and Kyle's relationship. Kyle's protectiveness shines through along with his feelings for Everly. I loved seeing the friends again in this book. I always love seeing how the friendships and relationships have evolved since the last book.
This was a great one. Kelly Elliott continues to surprise and amaze me more and more with each book she writes.
Thank you Grey's Promotions and Kelly Elliott for the ARC. I voluntarily leave my honest review here.
First off, what a sweet series to fall in love with and read all over again! I haven't read from this author in a long time and just picked up this series a couple of months ago and just kept reading to the very end. This story is the final of this series with Kyle and Everly. I am so going to miss the Boggy Creek Gang! I am hoping sometime down the road that there may be a follow up of some side characters and maybe the kids? Pick up this series today while it is on KU because it will be pulled soon.
I have loved each Boggy Creek novel but this one is by far my fav. I loved the suspense in the storyline. I couldn't put it down! Hands up if you knew Kyle was such a romantic. 😍 Everly is one lucky lady! They had an intense connection from the beginning. I really liked the s!ow build to their coming together. It added a little bit of angst to the mystery. I especially liked the update on each couple 5 years into the future in the epilogue.
I’m going to say it. I never thought I would. But I am. Kyle Larson is the sweetest, swooniess man that Ms. Elliott has written. Sorry Gunner. Just, I mean, there really are no words. And Everly, well let’s just say I wish I was her. Because again, Kyle Larson. I am sad to see this lovely town and these sweet characters go. But I know I’ll be back for a visit real soon!
Kyle is worth falling for—and Everly is his perfect match. He’s an utter delight, the friend group feels like found family, and the small-town charm + sizzling romance make this a good ending to the series.
Its a little bittersweet to have this series end. These characters have been my guilty pleasure since I discovered them starting this series, was taking a risk for me. I thought, based on the covers, that it was more of a chick-Lit book. I'm glad I was wrong because there was everything in these books. The love story was fantasy, the softie Romantic, Kyle and the incredible Everly, that never cracked under pressure.
There were a few areas that I wished would have been fleshed out but it Wasn't enough to stop me from loving this interconnected series.
Talk about a story that hits you with all of the feels. Looking for You is a suspenseful romance that will keep you on your toes and leave you breathless for more.
When we first meet up with Kyle and Everly, the sparks between them are instant. But due to Everly’s challenging job, she knows she can’t pursue anything with Kyle. A year has passed and for Kyle, Everly is the one that got away. So, when Kyle finds Everly on his porch one night, he was both surprised and thrilled to see her. That is until he discovers that someone has hurt Everly. Now, Kyle will do everything in his power to keep Everly safe and bring the people that hurt her to justice….
Looking for You took me by surprise in the best possible way. Kyle is the ultimate catch. I’m talking seriously swoon-worthy book boyfriend here. I mean, he is absolute perfection. All he wants to do is protect Everly, no matter the cost. This brings us to Everly. She has the biggest heart ever. She’s tough and independent. She doesn’t want to bring trouble around her family but knows that she can trust Kyle. Kyle was just what Everly needed in her life and I couldn’t get enough of the two of them together.
Looking for You had quite a different feel from the other books in the Boggy Creek Valley Series. I loved how suspenseful this book was. Kelly Elliott weaved quite the web of mystery that kept me on the edge of my seat, dying to know more. I really enjoyed all of the twists and turns and once you add in a steamy, hot romance, you just can’t go wrong.
Looking for You had everything I was looking for and then some. I was completely lost in Everly and Kyle’s story. I loved their connection, the chemistry, the sparks. As much as I wanted to savor it, I couldn’t help but devour their story. If you’re looking for a romantic suspense that will keep you on your toes but also swooning, Looking for You is just the book you’re looking for.
*I was provided an ARC copy of this book, in exchange for an honest review*
There's not one reason not to love this book or Everly and Kyle. Right from the start, you get the connection and attraction between them. Some time passed, and Everly is back in Boggy Creek beaten up and battered. This immediately puts Kyle's protectiveness of Everly on high alert. And it's amazing to see it. He is amazing with Everly. I loved that we now can see how their feelings for each other bloom even more as nothing really happened at the beginning other than a kiss. And now they finally can see it develop. I loved their sweet but suspenseful story.
WOW! Kelly Elliott has done it again! I absolutely loved Looking for You, the sixth and final book in her Boggy Creek Valley series! I can truly say, that Looking for You is an incredible love story, which filled me with a rollercoaster of emotions, and I could not put it down. I loved every moment on every page. Looking for You was a bittersweet book for me knowing that it is the final book in the Boggy Creek Valley series. Each book in the series keeps getting better and better and I have loved each book, but I truly believe that Looking for You is my favorite book in the series. Kelly Elliott continues to deliver incredibly written love stories. I love that Kelly Elliott continues to write the books that I LOVE to read I love the incredible second chance love story, the setting, and the amazing characters! Kelly Elliott definitely does not disappoint her readers with all the feels in Looking for You and has once again delivered an amazing story filled with everything that I have come to love about and expect from her books. She has once again provided her readers with the amazing characters, that I have come to love and expect in her books, they feel like family! Who does not love hot sexy men, strong, passionate females, big loving families, and caring friends, who always support each other? I love how Kelly develops her characters in such a way that you fall in love with them and care about them much like a good friend. I love how Kelly Elliott always manages to create the "perfect" heroine, who is a strong, sassy woman on her own, to balance out the sexy, swoon worthy man. Kelly Elliott continues to deliver all that and so much more. Another favorite part of her book is how she incorporates the picture on the cover of the book into the love story. I am not sure how she does it, but Kelly Elliott has once again given her readers another remarkable book. I love that Kelly chooses dialogue that stays true to her characters. Looking for You is filled with all the heartbreaking and heartwarming moments and plot twists, that I have come to love and expect in a Kelly Elliott love story, I especially loved the poignant and bittersweet moments that filled this page turner. Kelly Elliott continues to prove that she is an incredible storyteller. I love that she writes her stories in the first person from the perspective of the main characters. I love getting inside their minds and knowing their thoughts and how they really feel. My favorite moments in Looking for You are the lighter moments where I found myself smiling and laughing out loud. I also love the parts that pull at my heartstrings and cause me to sigh, as I read the heartbreaking moments. Looking for You is filled with such moments and so much more. Looking for You is a second chance love story between Everly Higgins, a climatologist who specializes in glacial geology and the effects of global warming and the sister of Hudson Higgins and Kyle Larson, Boggy Creek police officer. Everly and Kyle initially meet a year before the book starts, when the Higgins family visits Hudson in Boggy Creek to meet Greer. Kyle is immediately attracted to Everly, and they share a kiss while on a hike. Everly leaves Boggy Creek because her career is important to her. Everly and Kyle reunite on Kyle’s porch following Everly’s abduction and attempted murder. Everly does not want anyone to know that she is at Kyle, because she does not know who is behind her abduction or why she was abducted. She also fears that someone wants her dead. Everly lets her family know that she is safe by using a secret phrase, she wants to keep them safe. As Everly and Kyle begin to spend more time together, things change between them. Everly knows that her former fiancé Derrick Mays is somehow involved in her abduction, she saw him at the location where she was being held before she escaped. Conversation between Kyle and Everly flows so easily, and they share great chemistry. Kyle quietly investigates what happened to Everly and eventually includes Hunter and his father in the investigation. I love all the plot twists surrounding the investigation, and the reason behind Everly’s abduction. I love when both Kyle and Everly get real with their true feelings for one another and open up to each other. I love everything that Everly is willing to do to have a relationship with Kyle. I love how Kyle takes Everly on picnics and how he reads to her. My favorite part is Kyle’s proposal and the significance of the engagement ring, and how Everly responds to his proposal. Looking for You was an amazing love story; I am so glad that Everly and Kyle got the happily ever after. I loved all the surprises that filled the pages of this love story. Another favorite part is the epilogue and how it takes place five years later so that the reader gets to see how Everly, and Kyle’s lives have changed. I love all the characters in this series, and the descriptions of the setting in Boggy Creek Valley. It loved catching up with the other characters in the Boggy Creek Valley series, it felt like a family reunion and getting to spend time with close friends and all the little babies. Who does not love family and friends that always have each other’s backs? Looking for You is an incredibly written farewell to Boggy Creek Valley love story, and I loved every moment. Highly recommend this beautifully written story.
'It's time to say a fond--yet bittersweet--farewell to Boggy Creek and to Kelly's Boggy Creek Valley series, with Kyle Larson and Everly Higgins. A fitting finale for a truly unforgettable five star series!'
*Note: I will not be putting any spoilers into my review for Looking For You, but I will be occasionally referencing as loosely as I can, the other books in the series. If you don't wish to know anything about the series--if you are choosing to read them back-to-back after Looking For You comes out, please stop reading this review from this point. Thank you! :) *
Just over a year ago, Kelly released the first book in her then brand new Boggy Creek Valley series. A new book series is always exciting as it is bittersweet to say goodbye to previous characters in prior series' we've become familiar with, and this series was no different. Things kicked off with Aiden and Willa in The Butterfly Effect. I am the proud owner of the paperback of this book, and I cannot wait until all six books join the beautifully designed cover. Kudos to Kelly's niece for designing all the covers in this series, she's a credit to herself and to Kelly's work.
From The Butterfly Effect, things blossomed with the books that followed; Playing With Words (Hudson & Greer), She's The One (Bishop & Abby), Surrender To Me (Hunter & Arabella), Hearts In Motion (Luke & Brighton) & last but no means least, Looking For You (Kyle & Everly). I love all of these books with equal measure, but my top three are Playing With Words, Surrender To Me and Looking For You, then followed by the other three.
Now, on to the book of the moment, Looking For You.
Kyle Larson was the man we've all been waiting for, for the longest time. Seeing his appearances only warranted us to look even more forward to this read where he finally gets his own story alongside his leading lady. Enter, Everly Higgins. You may or may not recognise the latter last name but if you don't, go back and read Playing With Words. Kyle Larson is his own very kind of special breed. Forget book boyfriends here, we're looking at a man who is book husband worthy. You'll see why when you read it, but if there was a concoction of all the right ingredients to make both the perfect man fictional and in the real world, Kyle would be the blueprint. Kelly has outdone herself with this man, and I cannot wait for you all to finally meet him.
Everly Higgins herself enters the story with quite a bang. A mysterious bang. Slowly her story unfolds over the course of this book and hats off to Kelly for this one, it was a step away from the small-town storyline somewhat, but it shows that Kelly does have what it takes to keep things interesting and the pace going strong. Her job, which is described in detail and visited frequently throughout the book, only fuels the fire as to why Everly--as outlined in the blurb--fuels the mystery as to why she was brought to Boggy Creek, and to Kyle. His cops instincts kick in, and like a dog--or rather, Cat (you'll understand soon!) with a bone--he won't stop until all the missing pieces to the puzzle are in place. The story is intriguing, action-packed at times, full of mystery and of course, sizzling tension between Mr Larson and Miss Higgins.
Kelly has really given it her all to give this story, and series, a finale story to go out with a bang on and the fruits of her well-written labours show within this unputdownable novel. Everything you love about the previous books in the series has been woven within the pages of this one, bringing a wholesome, full-circle feeling. Ends are slowly tied up, new things begin, and get your fans ready ladies, Kyle Larson knows how to swoon not only Miss Higgins, but us the reader. And that's only the beginning of the incredible nature of Kelly's unmatchable character writing. The chemistry between Kyle and Everly? I think these two are perfection personified and are the very definition of soul mates.
I simply cannot speak highly enough about Kelly, her work or this novel in particular. Looking For You is the perfect ending to a series I will be recommending to people for a very long time, and although it is bittersweet to say goodbye to the BCV crew, finishing this novel makes me want to pick it up again from the very beginning. A binge and re-read worthy series if ever there was one!
The gang's all here, and they're waiting for you to say a fond farewell to Boggy Creek Valley and its players. So grab a comfy spot, stock up on your favourite snacks and beverages and prepare to turn those pages until there are no more left to turn.
Thank you for an incredible ride and series of adventure with these characters, Kelly. Thank you so, so much!
Five stars for Kyle, Everly, the Boggy Creek Valley series, and for Kelly Elliott!
Looking For You is sixth and final book in Kelly Elliott’s Boggy Creek Valley series. This has been an enchanting series about love, friends and family. The author has brought it to an excellent and thrilling conclusion with the romance between Kyle Larson and Everly Higgins. The suspense and mystery builds slowly just like their love and it all leads to a dramatic and exciting ending. Kyle is a K9 Policeman and recently moved into a new house on the outskirts of town. In the previous books we learnt that Kyle is an old fashioned romantic who loves Jane Austen. He is fiercely loyal to his family and friends, and absolutely loves his dog. He is the best friend and brother who they all depend on. He has watched all his friends slowly settle down with the ones they love so is the last of this group to find his ‘one’. Everly is a climatologist for NOAA and currently working in Alaska. She first met Kyle when her family came to visit her brother Hudson and meet his new girlfriend Greer, who is Kyle’s sister. She was attracted to him and but as she travels a lot, she knew nothing could come of their connection. He was immediately taken with her because no woman had ever made him feel the way she did when they kissed and he’d thought about her constantly. They then avoided each other at Greer and Hudson’s wedding but when he finds her on his doorstep, he knows something is seriously wrong. She knew deep down she could trust him and needs his help now her life is in danger. All his protective instincts kick in and he tries so hard to be the man she needs and not the policeman he wants to be. The sexual tension between them is outrageous but both know they must solve the puzzle of who is after her before they can give in to their desires. As much as Kyle tries to keep Everly a secret, everyone slowly ends up helping the pair. I loved the funny parts with Cat’s reaction to Everly and how jealous she was because who wouldn’t with a swoon-worthy owner like Kyle. He is so thoughtful and considerate to all Everly’s needs while helping her through the trauma she is experiencing. He makes her feel safe when she doesn’t know what is happening and why. I loved how Kelly used the epilogue to tie up all the loose ends and update us on everyone. It was great to read how this group has expanded so maybe there is a chance of a next generation novella. This series has given us heroes and heroines, sadness and laughs, heartbreaks and second chances, misunderstandings and love, all wrapped up in an unbreakable bond of friendship. I will certainly miss reading about these residents of Boggy Creek Valley and won’t forget the ups and downs we have been on with Aiden and Willa, Hudson and Greer, Bishop and Abby, Hunter and Arabella, Luke and Brighton and finally Kyle and Everly.
I could not have imagined a better ending to the Boggy Creek Series!! Author Kelly Elliott saved the best for last. All I can say is....I need a Kyle Larson!
Looking for You is the 6th and final book in this amazing series.
During the course of this series we have grown to know and love Kyle Larson. He is THE perfect man. A Jane Austen fan, member of a friends book club, loves a good facial, adores and loves his friends and family. Seriously ya'll.....the PERFECT man! He has had the backs of his friends through out this series and FINALLY he gets his turn to find his happy.
Everly is the sister of Hudson and is married to Greer...Kyle's sister. (This is a stand alone, but I would suggest reading in book order. Oh my goodness, why would you want to miss all the goodness that is Boggy Creek?) Kyle and Everly meet when you comes to visit her brother in Boggy Creek. Yes, we all know the sparks were there. That first she awakens something in Kyle he has been searching for. She later returns for Hudson's wedding to Greer. Since that visit, Kyle has not stopped thinking about her.
Imagine his shock when she shows up on his steps beaten, scared and on the run. Immediately Kyle goes into cop mode (he is a k-9 Officer). He wants to find who has done this to Everly, but she will not share. As we all know, hiding can only last but so long before you are found. That is exactly what happens to Everly. Kyle proves he will go to any lengths to protect her!
This book had it all. The romance, the thrill of suspense and a sweet dog named Cat! Seriously ya'll!!! There are so many scenes that stand out but the one that just had be swooning was by the creek. Which let me add....the cover gave me the perfect mental image of this scene. Everly asks Kyle to read to her. Ya'll..I quietly handed the book to my husband for him to read that scene!!! Yes, he needs to sometimes find his inner Kyle!
Kyle and Everly's story was the perfect ending to this series! The cherry on top would be a book for Candace!
Shannan – ☆☆☆☆☆ LOOKING FOR YOU is the sixth and final installment of the Boggy Creek Valley series. It shouldn't be read as a standalone. It should be read in the order the author intended to get the full effect of each book.
Finding Everly beaten and bruised on his front porch wasn't what he expected, but Kyle was going to do everything he could to keep her safe. Someone was trying to kill Everly, and she knew the only place she'd be safe was with Kyle. She knew some of the people involved but she had no idea why they wanted her dead. She didn't want to bring whatever danger to her parents or her brother. Kyle was the only safe option.
I loved a more action-packed story from Kelly Elliott. She, of course, had the swoon-worthy male lead, but the touch of action made this a different type of read than her usual, and I am here for it!! Kyle was the most in touch with his feeling of any of the other Boggy Creek Valley men. I loved seeing how romantic, sweet, and patient he was with Everly. Kyle and Everly were the perfect couple to finish up the series with. I highly recommend this series. I can't go wrong with any of these book boyfriends!

I’ve loved this series so much and have been patiently waiting for Kyle’s story since I first met him and the wait has been worth it!! Kyle and Everly certainly didn’t have an easy start to their relationship given they live thousands of miles away from each other and oh she’s the little sister of one of his sister’s husband! There was a little tease of the chemistry they have together when they met for her brother’s wedding but it wasn’t their time.
Imagine Kyle’s shock when he comes home one night to find Everly sitting on his porch and very clearly in some kind of trouble. I love how he didn’t ask questions just went about getting her inside and listening to whatever she wanted to tell him about how and why she’s back in Boggy Creek. I don’t think Everly understood what, if any, consequences there could be for Kyle when she rushed back to Boggy Creek, but she knew he would make her feel safe and protect her as best as he could.
Their story is a slow burning love story that has the perfect build up. Especially as we learn more about what might be the reason Everly is in danger. Kyle truly took his feelings for her seriously as he spent more and more time with her, it was clear they’re meant to be together. Add in the fact that his dog, Cat, fell in love with Everly too and it’s a perfect romance!!
I loved how this story built to where we find out what caused Everly to come back to Boggy Creek and how she starts to have friendships with the women of this small town that take her into their circle even if they’re not supposed to know she’s there… don’t underestimate these ladies though… they’re as fiercely protective as their men are! This is the perfect way to end this series too. As Kyle and Everly’s relationship evolves into a wonderful love neither expected to find with each other, the secondary characters, all the couples in previous books play an integral part of this story, especially when we get to the climax so to speak!
Ms. Elliott has done a wonderful job with this book and series and while I’m sad to see the series come to an end, I’m very sure I’ll be visiting Boggy Creek again when I re-read this series from beginning to end.
I’ve loved Kyle from jump, and I was so happy for him to find his forever! Sure, she’s got some serious danger hounding her, she’s hiding, she’s scared, and she’s alone, but the very fact that Everly chose Kyle as her one and only person to trust with saving her spoke volumes. I mean, who wouldn’t want the man who loves books, has the best friendships with the women in his life, and a healthy respect for skincare to be her One? Everly just has to figure out who wants her gone while Kyle helps put the pieces of the puzzle together in a way that makes sense and then they’re set for a bright future. Right?
This series has managed to deliver unique issues for each couple along the way, and this was no exception. In fact, the very fact that this one is different in such a way that forces others in this group to understand Kyle’s motives and his demand for Everly’s safety made this read even better. Add in the fact that this author is big on communication between her couples and I was hooked from the first chapter. Kyle knew how to care for and support Everly without smothering her, and Everly managed to give Kyle exactly what he’s been hoping and waiting for also. Once all answers become clear and the reasons for Everly’s danger were out in the open and then dealt with, these two only have to worry about how soon their forever should start. Luckily, our man Kyle has the answer to that question, as well. And not in a cheesy way, either. More like in the best way possible for these two, and it worked for me just perfectly. So much so that I can’t wait for whatever comes next from this author!
Being a fan of this series i couldn't wait for more! Ever since i reached the end of the fifth installment, Hearts in Motion i couldn't wait to get into this next one! I started looking forward to it right away. I picked it up as soon as i could and got right back into the Boggy Creek Valley world! I really enjoyed this sixth installment so much!!
I've been so excited for Kyle's book!
Everly and Kyle's journey hooked me in right from the get go! These two shared memorable kissses, but then went their separate ways. When Everly shows up at Kyle's house one night bruised, nothing will ever be the same.
I couldn't wait to see how these two would tackle things. Their chemistry was so fantastic! I was so glad that i got to dig deeper with them. Kyle and his determination to protect Everly stole my heart! Everly had such strength that i so admired! I loved how these two had me feeling so many emotions throughout! I adored them!
This installment definitely kept me on my toes! It was so awesome being back in this world! I so enjoyed what the other characters brought to the story as well!
With Looking for You, Ms.Elliott has created such a great read and ending to this addictive series! I was glued to my kindle! These books and the characters have gotten into my heart. Definitely get into the Boggy Creek Valley world if you haven't already! I can't wait for more from this author! 💙
