The info about type 4s was interesting and insightful but the setup of this book wasn’t great. There were multiple chapters with repetitive info. And the order of some of the chapters didn’t make sense to me. This book flowed well in the beginning, and half way through it started becoming scattered.
Highly repetitive from section to section and does not allow for various possibilities within the Type. Examples within the sections use the same words and phrases making the descriptions boring.
I chose to read this book because I took a professional development at work on Enneagrams and I scored a 4w3. BTW- I view Enneagram as a personality test only. didn’t feel the book was particularly well-written. And as someone who is a 4w3, it didn’t offer anything particularly insightful- 4’s are constantly seeking self-wisdom and meaning, so I guess that is accurate! I wish I had gotten more ideas on how to use my personality traits more effectively, and I wish it had given me more advice on how to form meaningful connections to others. An average book.
