The last place on earth Sakusa Kiyoomi wants to be is on this godforsaken ship sailing across the seas to attend a boring science lecture, but it is a necessary evil if he wishes to avoid attending his grandmother's birthday celebrations.
That is, until his ship is boarded by a band of pirates and Kiyoomi finds himself in extremely unwanted company.
He can cope with most of the rambunctious crew; though they're armed to the hilt, they're relatively harmless.
He cannot, however, cope with human hurricane Miya Atsumu.
Sakusa Kiyoomi hates Miya Atsumu. Or so he thinks.
They're bickering, pranking, fighting, busy trying not to jump each other's bones for the better part of the book. They do end up resolving their sexual tension tho (and damn, it becomes a problem for everyone in the ship. Literally)
Found family omg. Welcome to the monster generation of pirates. Kagehina are stupid as always. There's hoshiumi running a circus as his side business (I'm convinced he's a comedian first before he's a pirate). There's ushijima who can not for the life of him distinguish between a cat and a dog. Bokuto, his horrendous erotic too descriptive poem about his lovers' genitals and his little budgie, Banana, are the bane of my existence. Osamu pinning for Suna. Suna pinning for the better Miya.
I just love how fairycake does humor. The narration, the off handed dialogues—everything is humourous. (Sakusa introducing Miya as 'A clown' then immediately saying 'Beloved.')
Goonies meets Haikyuu cast?! I will seriously never get over anything from this; the found family, the banter, the adventure, sakuatsu … One of the best stories I’ve ever read!!
