'TIL DEATH DO US PART! Astor finally proposes but the cost of marrying into the 1% is too terrible for Joey to even contemplate. Too bad saying no isn't an option if she wants to get out of Crestfall Bluffs in one piece! With the horrible truth fully revealed, can Joey escape a proposal much too rich for her blood, or will she get eaten alive by the secrets of the rich and powerful?
This idea that, in the end, we all fall victims to our own vices and that there is not breaking the wheel, just making it turn the other way, is a satisfying and yet trapping ending. I did not really see it going that way, I had a different line going through my head. Nevertheless, I loved every moment of this story, this short and sadistic representation of our world. I do highly recommend this whole series if you have 45-60 minutes to spare of your life and you want to spend it questioning the world.
3.5/5 Honestly, can they adopt me?💀 Mommy joey and mommy petal. Oh god I'm so shocked they just turned the fucking tables. I wish it wasn't as rushed but heck yeah. I loved it. Giving them a taste of their own medicine. What i wonder tho. These people needed what the rich provided aka money, care etc. Who will provide that? A lot of things seems so be very vague. But nevertheless i loved the concept.

Well damn.. what a series. Loved the ending, I hope there’s more to come at some point, would love to see the continuation of the story. The artwork was great and the writing was pretty good too but for me the stand out was the storyline. It was a pretty original take on the whole ‘rich cannibals’ trope for a comic book. I would love to see this made into a tv series or mini series.
This review is for the whole series and the fifth issue. This issue is really good as it has a lot of action and a pretty gruesome ending but also makes sense of the symbolism even further and has poetic justice to it. .
I've enjoyed this run, but I had a feeling I wouldn't like the ending. I didn't.
Things are perfectly set up to continue this. That is good.
A main character is gone (I think. Perhaps not). Ultimately, the way the story is set to continue ultimately fails. It'll be interesting how they can fight this. It should be interesting and bloody. :)
So i rate the whole thing a 3.75~4 because as much as I like the message and the finale of eating the rich I also feel it fell a little flat. I wanted more to the characters that showed reluctance and regret that you could see in very few scenes. Idk its good just wanted a bit more depth. 5 issues was too little imo.

that was a little bit too rushed, but petal and joey together make up for it well enough. like the idea behind the conclusion and the tradition reversal. great read!!
