Willow babysits for Mr. Ken whenever he's out. Lately, he's been going on a lot of first dates, a few second dates, but never any third dates. She knows when he comes home early that he's had another one of those nights, and she's there to comfort him with a kind word, some whiskey, and maybe a little bit more.

Mr. Ken has been in a dating rut after his wife passed away. Before she'd gone, she told him to move on and find somebody else... But more importantly, to find somebody else to be a good mother to their son. But as he explains to his babysitter, he keeps going on a lot of first dates. And a few second dates. And zero third dates. Willow is the teenage girl who has lived next door for a couple of years now. She babysits for Mr. Ken. And when he comes home from a bad date, she lends a sympathetic ear. But tonight, Willow asks him to help her practice a love confession on a boy. Mr. Ken is a little apprehensive when she says that this boy is a bit older than her, and encourages her to focus on her education. But things change when Willow asks to practice kissing him... and then to practice other things, instead.
11 pages, Amazon ebook. 18+ for sexual content.
I didn't like the fact that Willow was only eighteen. Although it was stated multiple times throughout, the entire thing felt a little icky to me. If I was Mr. Ken, I would have shoved her off and told her to go home and practice making out with her pillow. However, if you can look past all of that, I thought that the actual story was pretty nice.
