The infamous laundry room scene but in the boys' perspective. Nothing new is shared in this, but you should read this after book 2 to avoid any spoilers!
It's also nice to see Dimitri's penchant for Story's panties has been a thing since their teenage years lol.
What a treat. Thank you Angel Lawson and Samantha Rue for this goodie. I like that we get a glimpse of the three Lords when they were younger than in the series. I think reading this book after book 2 was great, because it would have spoiled some plot reveals of book 2 so releasing this extra right before book 3 was great.
It was nice to see their side of things and understand how some of their ahem, preferences, began (Looking at you Dimitri). Sometimes back story doesn't provide much, but in this case it felt like just the right amount of time spent exploring their heads and hearts at that age to see how they turned out so many years later- absolutely perfect for each other. Kudos to the authors for that!
If you don't enjoy dark romances and triggers like forced blow jobs and drug use don't read this short story. I feel myself drawn to it. Lol. I guess I'm weird. 😂
It was interesting to see the boys perspective in this book. I hate Killian for giving Tristian and Rath the idea to assault Story. But, well, he's way too deep in his hatred towards her.
I do not usually write reviews for any books, not because I don't care to, but because I just want to start a new book. But this additional book just makes me want to write something.
As a rule, I do not like it if a book is released after the others with basically the same story or the same scene but from a different character's perspective. But in this case, it worked. It does not make the scene any less triggering or even softens the blow but just gives a different vantage point into the mental state and reasoning of our 3 Lords.
Oh How I love the boys. It was great to read the back story. I waited till I have finished the series before I read it. It was good to see how they all felt for her from the start, the obsession and need to possess her from day one just proved how much she owned them all.
I would recommend reading this after you have read the laundry chapter in book 1. It would make reading the boys in a different light.
or read it after the series so you can hate them the way they were intended to be hated. Before you fall in love with them that is.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
This is the prologue from Lords of Pain as told by the three men. The Lords are my version of crack. I love them so I will love any content that includes them. 🥰🥰🥰
Just a quick short read. It’s good to get a different view from the boys perspective. What drove them to the laundry room scene and the thoughts behind it. I would’ve liked it to be a bit longer with more explanation of before they went to Forsyth and the lead up to story’s return but it was good.
I gave it 3 stars because it's like a short story that will definitely set the stage for the next book. It's brief and gives us some background information, like names and the relationships between the characters. Personally, I'm going to read the next book and see how the plot unfolds.
Idk how to rate this. It is just a rehash of the laundry room scene from Lords of Pain but from the guys POV. It didn’t really add anything to the scene from Story’s POV. It was just OK.
