This book got a little better the more I read. Let's celebrate that. HOWEVER, I can't get past Chasity's dad being friends with Axel since elementary school and they're so close that her dad has a key to Axel's apartment yet apparently, he doesn't know the name of his daughter?!? And he's only seen pics of her when she was a kid, never as an adult? WHAT?!?
Cringy FMC with major pick-me vibes. Annoying to read. The only reason why I finished this was because it was an audio book. (Nothing wrong with the narrator just the story itself was weird). The MMC seems like a predator, he okayed a date and went out with someone who he (initially) thought was 16… wtf he’s 40. The FMC also described her dad in a weirdly sexual way in the first chapter. It gets a little bit better towards the end, but still not great (1.6/5⭐️ & 2.5/5🌶️ the spice was written well I just didn’t like the characters) There is nothing that will keep me reading this 5part series. There is a cliff hanger too 🙃.
I needed a quick read and I do enjoy a good Billionaire/Age Gap Romance so I downloaded this one when it showed up FREE. Well, sometimes I get lucky with these grabs, but this wasn't one of those times. Did I finish it? Yes. Did I love it? No.
Billionaire, yes. Age Gap, yes. Romance, I suppose you could call it that, at times. I think Charity started off trying to be mature and adult, but as the story went on, she seemed to become more childish and whiney to me. Axel started off mature and adult-like, very much the swoony Billionaire Playboy. He eventually became a possessive man-child. I'm not sure which one I disliked more by the end.
I'm not sure what to say about this one. It wasn't a horrible read. The story had promise when it started. It was easy enough to follow, although it could use a good proofreader...there were a number of glaring typos in my copy. However, the story was far from that all-captivating romance that I look for to keep myself entertained. Some of the dialogue and action was really hard to believe at times. Being it was a cliffhanger, it should have made me feel more compelled to grab Book 2 to find out what happens next. Sadly, it didn't. Maybe if I have some down time and need something quick to read again, I'll grab Book 2. Right now I'll just be satisfied with being done with this one so I can move on to reading something hopefully a bit more enjoyable. Like I said, it wasn't a horrible read, it just wasn't for me. That happens sometimes.
Our heroine meets our hero while waiting for her father to finish a meeting. The connection between them is apparent from the start, but what isn't apparent is the unexpected connection that turns things on their head.
This is book one of the trilogy, so a good place to start.
This is a contemporary romance story with a bit of an age gap and a semi-taboo element as well. I say semi-taboo because I don't see this as a problem for our hero and heroine. It is someone else's problem, which in this case is dad. Either way, the story is well written and easy to read with a delightful cast of characters. I really like both our hero and heroine separately and together. They have great chemistry and actually talk to each other. Imagine that! Overall, I really enjoyed this story and look forward to seeing what comes next.
Highly recommended

Ugh, that ending left me so unsatisfied, and now I need to read or listen to book two to find out how Axel and Chastity's relationship recovers from this.
Chastity, a college student, has never had time for boys. She is a smart young woman focused on succeeding in a chiropractic career. While home for break, she meets Axel, a billionaire double her age. Axel and Chastity begin seeing each other, intending to end their relationship when she returns to school. Their feelings intensify. Little did Chastity know, Axel is her father's best friend.
I enjoyed listening to this audiobook. Nothing really grabbed my attention until the ending. I will continue this story because the drama was just getting good as it ended.
I liked Chastity. She seems like a great girl. She is motivated, kind, and humble.
I listened to the audiobook of this story. I wish this had a different narrator. It just didn't do it for me. Maybe because there were a few points in the story that bothered me. Such as, if Axel is Chastity's dad's best friend for the last 10 years, and she has a pretty close relationship with her dad, and she often stays with her dad, how is it possible that they've never met? And if Patrick (her dad) and Axel are best friends, wouldn't Axel know that Patrick's daughter's name is Chastity and put 2 and 2 together when they first met? And if Patrick and Axel are so close that Axel has a key to Patrick's apartment, how come Axel and Chastity haven't met in the 10 yrs since they've been best friends? Seems odd to me. And I think it bothered me enough that I'm giving this only 3 stars.

This was a wild read to say the least lol I just was not into this book at all. I got it as a free audio and thought I’d give it a try, and I knew after the first chapter that this was not for me. However I kept going and finished it just to see where it would go and it was pretty yikes. Very plotless, the pacing is odd as it felt like everything happens very quick and it just felt very outlandish and a bit icky at times. It felt pretty misogynistic most of the time with both of the main characters and their views. Not for me but made me laugh at times with how bad it was. Also the cliff hanger was weird timing in my opinion and not really necessary, even if there are other books for this series.
I liked this book — I didn’t love it, but I definitely enjoyed it.
This is a dad’s-best-friend, age-gap billionaire romance with a lot of tension and a good amount of spice. And when I say spice, I mean most of the book is pretty spicy. It’s not dark or taboo in a heavy way though — it feels more like contemporary spicy. It leans into the fantasy without getting uncomfortable or overly intense.
The chemistry between the characters is strong, and the tension carries the story. But there were a few parts that just weren’t for me. Some moments didn’t hit the way I wanted them to emotionally, and that kept it from being a five-star read.
I was gifted this book by the author, and I very much appreciate it. I’m leaving this review because I want to and it’s my own words. I really enjoyed this first book, in this trilogy. I loved Chastity she is well grounded and is true to herself, and getting to where she wants to be by working hard at college. Now Axel watching him change and grow as a man was so good. It had me hooked from the start. It was so well written, I just couldn’t put the book down. I’m already reading book 2 of course, I need to know the next stage of their journey. Highly recommend
I can't wait to read the rest of this series because it is a continuation of Book 1.
We know Pat walks into Axel's apartment and finds Chastity being thoroughly ...in the kitchen. Did he know when Chastity left the restaurant that she was on her way to see Axel? After all, she already met him before Pat knew about it.
Chastity finds herself pregnant... When this contemporary romance continues with more passion and drama. Continue to read this whole series to find out what happens next.
How could he not had figured out she was his best-friend’s daughter?? He should have known about if he had known the dad for so long… At least seen pictures and that…?
Aaaand cliffhanger at the ending I had not prepared for was so not fine😩. Also found out there are way to many books about those two😩
She easily forgave him in the beginning when he had really been mean and called her mean stuff. He called her a tease when she did not want to sleep with him on the first date🙄

Chastity was on holidays from uni so she was going to spend time with her dad and mum so her dad said he had to talk to some guy and left her in the coffee shop at his gym she had just ordered a hot chocolate although it was hot outside she loved it she looked up and a tall hot smoking guy was heading to the front door he turned and saw here she melted her heart did flips God he was older but damn he was hot he walked back the girl behind the counter said axle water he was like yes please but still looking at her
Chastity goes with her father to the gym where he is meeting a client. While her father is at the meeting, Chastity meets billionaire Axel and is asked out on a date for the next day. After dating for a time, they find out that Alex is her father's best friend. What are the consequences since they are unhappy apart? This steamy story is well written and keeps you wanting more!
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I listened to this as an audiobook and it was a little slow at first but the story was well written and the spice was spicy. I’m not a big fan of uninformative cliff hangers but I’m hoping the next book picks up where this left off and doesn’t do a time jump.
I did like that the author wrote a headstrong FMC that actually stands up to her dad when he finds out.
Overall I would recommend this book to someone who liked age gap romances.
Captivating story with a decent amount of smut considering how show the novel was. The rating is a generous four, simply for many inconsistencies with the storyline. Many things didn’t line up and got confusing, things said and mentioned would counteract how they were previously brought up earlier in the novel. I’m still moving onto the next one, as I have to know what happens next.
I never write reviews but I HAD TO for this book. I couldn't even finish it, it was pure cringe. The FMC was such a pick-me girl, and the MMC was clearly a predator, he even thought she was 16 when they first met, wtf??? Also, super rude and calling her a tease, when she had already stipulated she was 20 years younger than him, and they'd only talked for like 30 minutes. Ewww eww ewwwwwww.
DNF he’s her dad’s BEST FRIEND and yet has no idea what his best friends daughters name is? As much as I want to know how that was explained away I can’t continue. Seeing other reviews apparently he has a key to her dads place they’re that close. No photos of his only child he has a close relationship with?
This eBook was a very good read, I will follow-up by reading the second one. This book kept me reading until the wee hours of the night. I highly recommend you put this book on your must read list. This book was also a free book on Amazon Kindle.
This was a nice quick read. Had a fun meet cute. The spicy scenes were average. There are a few different tropes; age gap, taboo/ forbidden love (dad's best friend), virgin. It does leave on a cliff hanger, but personally, I do not like trope that is the 2nd book's title and will not be reading it.
It had the potential to be a cute book. But I hate when a romance book ends on a chiffhanger. If I wanted that I would stick with my fantasy book. I want a romance book to have a complete story even if the story continues in another book, each book should have a complete story in it.
My Dad's Billionaire Best-Friend is a short and sweet romance that pulls you in with its forbidden tension. Watching both characters fall for each other while trying to resist adds so much charm to the story. It ends on a cliffhanger, leaving me eager to dive into the next book!
I loved the plot of this trilogy… I just wish Chasity’s character had a little bit more to her. Sometimes she annoyed me 😂 ngl, I think the author portrayed her like a high schooler in the first and second book but the third book is where things definitely took a turn still loved it though!!

Enjoyed the book enough to purchase book 2. This book ended on a cliffhanger. The writing style is great and it makes it easy to read. Characters come to life with her writing style. Different take in this genre of books and it was refreshing
