In the aftermath of wild magic running amok over the Earth, Vervain and Azrael are trying their best to find a way to coexist happily with humans. Most of the world has gone fey-crazy, elevating faeries to a celebrity status, but there are still those who haven't gotten over the horrors that the wild magic wrought, and they don't like the fact that more and more faeries are coming to Earth. On top of dealing with these hate-mongers, there's the legal issues that arise, making faeries the target of law enforcement as well, including Vervain's friend, Austin. But all of these matters take a backseat to babies.
During the time when paths to Faerie were open and wild magic ruled the world, many children were conceived. Now, those children are showing unusual traits, and without magical parents to protect them, Vervain fears for their safety. Human but with fey magic, these babies could be the key to peace between the races, or they could be the catalyst of war. Either way, the Godhunter is right in the middle of it all.

Her books have been translated into several languages, have won numerous awards, and are bestsellers. She believes in empowering women through her writing as well as providing everyone with a great escape from reality. Her stories are full of strong women and hot gods, shapeshifters, vampires, dragons, fairies, gargoyles... pretty much any type of supernatural, breathtakingly gorgeous man you can think of. Because why have normal when you could have paranormal? Born and raised in Hawaii, Amy made a perilous journey across the ocean with six cats to settle in the beautiful state of Oregon which reminds her a lot of Hawaii but without the cockroaches or evil sand. When she isn't trying to type fast enough to get down everything the voices in her head are saying while her kitties try to sabotage her with cuteness, she enjoys painting on canvases, walls, and anything else that will sit still long enough for the paint to dry. She prefers antiques to modern furniture, tea to coffee, night to day, and Tom Hardy to Tom Hiddleston. No; Tom Hiddleston to Tom Hardy. No, wait... Tom Hardy and Tom Hiddleston to Tom Cruise. Some grammatical errors made it through but not enough to take me out of the story. This story was an Azrael and Vervain centered book in terms of time spent with her men. Her whole menagerie still makes appearances but they were off on most of the adventures. Honestly if this were a TVMA TV drama I would watch the hello kitty out of it. (Not a typo, fun cursing is back in this book too!) But don't sell the rights until this series is finished Amy! My heart couldn't take it if this was ruined like a TV Show That Has No Name.
I gave it five stars because the book is great. I love there series. Lately a lot of tiny things just make me cringe though. Like as an author if your series is some dystopian AU where the US puts its citizens through secret trials when the crime is committed on US soil on the basis that crimes can labeled subjectively as terrorist and that’s how the system works then okay. However, until recent books this wasn’t the case real world politics were the same. This makes me concerned that you actually think that is a thing. Well some foreign terrorists have been held in horrible places like Guantanamo bay these were 100% non citizens, whose crimes were not on US soil, who were held completely outside of the USA. Otherwise it would be unconstitutional. The US president doesn’t have the power to just say something is terrorism and hold secret trials for US citizens who comitted crimes in the US.
I absolutely love the Godhunter series, so please don't take this as criticism about the story or the characters. I've been finding it increasingly hard to continue reading the books. I have to skim through so much that it has become annoying. Each book has so much recitation from preceding books that over 50% of the book is saying the same things that the previous books have. I don't need to know each and every detail of actions, plots, storylines.... that have gone on in the series. I have read series before, long series, ongoing series that have not had to give play by play of earlier books. This is the only peeve I have about this series
I love this book & all the others before it. I could wallow in this world & never get bored! I love all the characters. Vervain has really come into her own. Az is awesome! I love how Austin is getting more time in this book. And all the babies! Ugh poor things. Babies are being stolen. Vervain & Az think they fixed it, but another wrench is thrown in there. Totally recommend reading this book! The series makes it even better! Try it you'll like it!
Book 34 And I read it as eager as the first No that's not true I read it faster already knowing how absolutely good these books are Even after so many I still love them And I still open when finishing wondering when I'll be able to get my next fix
ABSOLUTELY ADORE the God hunter series Love love love it
Another terrific and well written story by Amy, characters are insightful, intriguing and determined. I really enjoyed seeing az and the fairies worked together to figure out what was going on. I love these stories. I’m trying to figure out when the next baby is coming. I really hope it’s in the next book.
Another great read in The Godhunter series. Can honestly admit this is the only ongoing RH series that I look forward to and LOVE. I have my fingers crossed that this series never ends (lols) but thats just me being greedy 😁
Anyways if you havent started this series and you happen to find this book in your recommends, I highly recommend starting the series and any series Amy has because they are all just amazing
Where tf were Alaric and Faerie for half the book?!?! Like aren’t they supposed to be able to answer their questions? So stupid and annoying. They were gone until the end. Like hellooo? Also sex everywhere AGAIN! It’s like the only way this author is able to create a plot. Only good thing was the ending which was for once pretty good tho all over the place. Skimmed that part a bit too. It was more entertaining than the past books have been. Oh but also BABY FACTORY AGAIN? Yeah no I’m not loving.
