Nova is tired of every looking at her with pity, her ex-fiancé ran away with a stripper just before their wedding. When the two most noisy biddy bodies show up to her shop and start talking about how sad her predicament is, she tells them she has a date for the NYE party. When they ask who, her brother Paxton's (
Holly Jolly Mountain Man) best friend Clark walks in and she indicates he is taking her, she urges him to play a long.
Clark has loved Nova for ten years but has never told her, mostly because her brother is his best friend. Maybe this date can she her that he is worth taking a chance on.
I loved this story, Nova needed someone in her corner, to make her see losing her fiancé was the best thing to happen to her.

Wonderful!! This was a nice quick, short read. I absolutely love it.
Clark and Nova have known each other most of their lives, he's her brother's best friend. A year ago Nova's fiancé walked out on her, so she spent the last year having people feeling sorry for her. When two of the older women from town come into her antique shop they asks her if she's coming to the New Year's Eve party. Nova tells them that she is and she's bringing someone with her. Then when Clark walks into her shop she tells them she's bringing him. Clark is confused at first until he figures out what is going on. Nova takes him to the back of the shop and explains to him. He accepts to be her fake boyfriend for the night of New Year's Eve it'll get them off his back to find someone to settle down with. Clark tells Nova he just has one problem he doesn't have anything to wear to the party. The next day, Nova's brother Paxton storms into the shop asking why he's hearing about his best friend and her hooking up. Then Clark walks in with Paxton's wife, Carolina. Clark and Nova explain what they are actually doing. Paxton tells them if they want to pull this off they need to kiss, to make it look real. So Clark and Nova kiss and they forget anyone is in the room with them. They head to Denver to pick up a suit for Clark. When Clark arrives back home he finds Paxton waiting for him, he lets him know he knows that Clark is really in love with his sister and has been for a while now. Paxton gives Clark his permission to go for it with Nova but not to break her heart. When he shows up at her door to pick her up for the party she isn't ready yet she is running late. Clark finally confesses to Nova that he's been in love with her for a while now, they kiss then make love. They head to the party late and everyones head turns to look at them. Clark asks Nova to dance with him and she can't believe what a good dancer he is. When Clark heads off to get them a drink he is talking to Paxton when they notice Nova's ex-fiance walk in and take her to the dance floor, they both want to tell him off but they wait and let her handle it. Nova's ex-fiance wants her back but she tells him he left her and she's not coming back to him, she's in love with Clark. Just then Clark walks up and hears Nova and asks her if she's talking about him she tells him she is. Clark tells her he's in love with her too. When she wakes up she knocks Clark down and he lands on his behind. They share a toast and kiss to bring in the New Year, lips firm, hearts full and a lifetime of New Years to bring in together.

Cheers to the Mountain Man is the fifth book in the Holidays with a Mountain Man series. This story is all about the fireworks and champagne of New Years Eve, and one little fake relationship. A year ago Nova was about to get married but then he left her at the altar while he went on their honeymoon with the stripper from his bachelor party. She was upset to begin with but then realized that it was most likely for the best as it saved them from a costly divorce. She is ready to move on but the women of the town seem to not want to let her do that, and they tell any eligible man who comes into town all about what happened. So when it happens again about her not having a date to the towns New Year Eve party she tells a little white lie that maybe she just has been seeing someone. But then that little white lie gets a lot bigger in the form of Clark. You see just as the inquisition was starting about who the man may be in walks Clark to her store and the assumptions are made, and she just goes with it. Clark may be her older brother Paxton's best friend but he has been in love with Nova since she returned from college years ago. Now with Paxton married to Carolina the ladies around town are all trying to get Clark paired off with their single daughters, as the thirty-five year old has become the the towns most eligible bachelor. But with his heart already taken by Nova he thinks this might be a chance to keep all the other woman away from him and get some time with Nova, even if Paxton may push him off a cliff the next time they go hunting together. The town gossip mill goes into overdrive and by the next day Paxton is storming into the shop demanding to know what is happening with Clark. Well this is going to be fun to explain.
This story is a wonderfully sparkly gem.....it will dazzle you, keep you entranced and make you feel all gooey inside with a big smile on your face. I enjoyed the very entertaining story-line which is a great mix of drama, fun, secrets and some very white hot chemistry. The characters are sweet and wonderfully written, with some great inner dialogue, and the addition of Paxton and Carolina, who's story is Holly Jolly Mountain Man, made me laugh a lot. This book is a great addition to this series and a definite RECOMMENDED READ!

Last New Year's Eve, Nova was stood up at the alter by her fiance. He ran off with the stripper from his bachelor party to go on their honeymoon trip. Nova was humiliated and angry but she quickly realized that it was for the best if he couldn't be faithful. Nova wants to move on but the small town pities her and treats her like she was a widow. Nova can't get a date with them interfering. Finally she has enough and tells the biggest gossips in town that she has a boyfriend. Just as they ask her who it is, her brother's single best friend comes in and Nova tells them it is Clark. Later she begs him to go along with it so she can stop the pity.

Cheers to the Mountain Man is a great story to end the year with. Nova has faced a year of people in the town looking at her with pity, after her fiancée ran off the day of their wedding. Not wanting to go to the NYE party alone, she ropes in her brother's friend as her date. Clark has had feeling for Nova since she turned eighteen, but because of his relationship with her brother, he has stayed away. But since all the men on the mountain have been finding their wives, the pressure to match him has increase. So, when Nova grabbed him for a date, he really did not balk too hard.
Nova and Clark's story is a fun best friend's sister story that has an ending that make you want to smile. I love the heat and connection they have and how quickly the passion grows.

First things first; I like the cover of this book!
Cheers to the mountain man is the latest book in the ‘’holidays with a mountain man’’ series.
This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read.
I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. After a public break up, Nova is used to the pitying looks she gets. A year after said break up, she is fed up with it. When her brothers best friend agrees to be her fake date to a party, will real love blossom between them?
The chemistry between Nova and Clark is clear to see and I liked them together.
I liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I look forward to more books from this series.

Loved Nova's love story
I've been waiting for Nova's love story and so glad to see it was Clark she fell in love with. Nova was the talk of the town because her intended ditched her for a stripper at his bachelor party. He left it up to his brother to tell her at the chapel. What a jerk. For the following year the townsfolk treated her like her life was over. She ended up roping Clark to be her date for the New Year's Eve party. Not knowing Clark was in love with her. It's such a good book. Read how Her relationship goes with Clark and what happens when the "jerk" returns as if nothing happened. You'll enjoy that part. I enjoyed it a lot and hope you will as well. Written by Cindy :)

This the fifth book in the Holidays with a Mountain Man series. It can be read and enjoyed as a standalone but if you like instalove and mountain men I recommend picking up the other books, they were fun, steamy reads. This book is no different, short and steamy instalove that will put a smile on your face. This is Nova and Clark's story. Nora's tired of the towns pity. its been a year since her fiancé dumped her and all she wants to do is move on with her life. Clark has a thing for Nova but has never did anything about it because she his best friends younger sister but this New Years Eve he may be able to change things between them.

This was a cute, fast read. Nova was burned by her fiancé, leaving her before their wedding. Her small town looks upon her with sympathy to the point it is driving her nuts. After telling some gossips she will be attending her towns annual New Year's Eve party with her brothers best friend Clark, she digs a hole for herself that Clark is nice enough to help her out of. Unbeknown to her, Clark has been in love with Nova for a long time only never acting on his feelings. Now he finally has his chance as they begin a fake relationship. Minimal drama and lots to sweet heat in this one.

This interesting book 5 in The Holidays with a Mountain Man Book Series was a short, sweet and steamy holiday, instalove romance with unique and well constructed characters. This short, sweet, and steamy romance story has entertaining characters who are likable and relatable. This is a well-written insta-everything book with Characters who have depth, history, and are well-constructed. I cannot wait for the next book by one of my favorite Authors. A very enjoyable series with unique and amazing characters set during the holidays.

Sweet and steamy mountain man romance to ring in the New Year! I loved this brother’s best friend romance and the steam it brings! Nova and Clark were such a great couple! Clark has been in love with Nova for years but his his feelings out of respect for his best friend. Now Nova is in need of a date for New Years, and Clark is her choice. Both want the town bitties to stop matchmaking. This might be the best match of them all because faking a relationship is easy when the feelings are real. Plenty of sweetness and steam in this quick read.

New Year’s Eve with real love.
I really liked this short story. It was entertaining and enjoyable with an exception. The characters were interesting and likable for the most part. The town busy bodies were annoying as heck. Nova was sweet and kind. Clark was helpful and protective. He had feelings for Nova for years but had never made a move. Nova springing a surprise on Clark had him questioning reality but happy nonetheless. Nova also gets a surprise (or two!). I loved their happily ever after. I recommend reading this book.

Clark has always had a crush on his friend's sister Nova so when Nova asks him to be her date to a party to keep the gossips sedated he jumps on the chance. Nova is getting too many pitying glances because she is recently short of one fiance so she doesn't want to go to the party single. Then it's just a matter of making it official between them. Oh my these two are so freaken cute and I can not get enough of them. This book was Steamy and hot, the passion and chemistry, and funny ... wowzers I want and need more.

Her brother Paxton gets them to kiss as practice. It is all that is needed to spark the love held back in them. I really liked how Nova dealt with her cheating ex.

This was an amazing best friend’s sister romance with a touch of fake relationship thrown in the mix. I loved this story, the way Kate Tilney can make a short story seem complete without being rushed is a great gift and I’m a fan. Nova and Clark was such a wonderful couple and their story really moved me.

Nova and Clark were cute together and I loved how Clark let her stand on her own two feet and was just there to support her. It was hilarious seeing her brother push them together and loved that there was no drama there. This was short, sweet, sexy.

This is a wonderful well-written quick to read novella, the brothers best friend storyline was sweet and entertaining. Clarke has loved Nova for a while and never crossed the line, now he's her pretend date for New Years and decides he's going to let her know how he feels....
