Oh my goodness this book!

Alright if you want a true slow burn romance this is it. Like no joke you start when the MCs are teenagers and end when they are in their 40s.

And I'm not saying that is a bad thing at all. You get to see them fall in love, be apart, lose trust, gain trust, fall in love again and eventually get their happily ever after.

But this trilogy is messy, real and heartbreaking.

I don't even really know how to explain it well because it isn't your typical romance book at all.

Physical Intimacy Level 2

What a bittersweet ending to Talon and Temperance’s story. Loved seeing Massimo as a child (I’m reading the pre-stories after Dark Love). For their generation in this universe their story is at the top of my list followed by Matthew & Louisella. Yes there are some editorial typos in the books but if you’re following the story you still understand the message. I would love the writers to create something like a family tree for the Willow Street, Urbium & Wildflower Meadows because there’s so much interconnection that sometimes I had to go back to other books to confirm if this character was who I was thinking of.

I love Talon and Temperance! I love watching them come back together after a long separation! I loved how this book shows the importance of working on one’s relationship! I also love how throughout the whole trilogy it expresses the importance of family no matter who you are. This trilogy made me cry, laugh, and just happy for the wonderful family I have!

If you want a clean romance that stands the test of time with suspense and supports strong family relationships and friendships, then look no further! You won’t want to miss this series!

Entertaining but...

The editing in this series is abysmal. Like, truly neglectful. I'm choosing to ignore it as much as possible to enjoy the story. Another issue is that time skips by without any warning. Days, weeks, even months. A chapter ends and the next one starts up 10 months later. You just have to figure it out as you read.

So why am I still reading this series? Because it's like cotton candy. Sweet, fluffy, and addicting but totally ridiculous and unbelievable.

I’m so thankful they got back together!! I knew they would, as I have read Dark Love and it briefly mentioned the couple. As much as I hated that Temperance left for 16 years, (or at all) I love that they pushed through it and made it out. I love her reconnection to Max and all in all it was a great slowburn.

FMC finally gets some gumption in this book so I gave it an additional star. I like that she goes back, gets a gun, and then develops a relationship with her son. Very sweet. I thought it was weird that he got married at 17 and then suddenly his gf/new wife dies of cancer after birthing their son traumatically on a kitchen table. Wild.
