I’m not sure if I’ve read too many holiday romances this month, or if this review is spot on, but this was entirely boring and predictable. It was NICE, but I stand by the first two adjectives. Olivia is best friends with Sarah, and the subject of years and years of trading and tormenting by Sarah’s older brother Ty. Last Christmas they shared a peer pressured (amazing) kiss under the mistletoe, when he was still with his long term girlfriend, but this Christmas he’s home and single and while he still can’t seem to stop needling Olivia, cornered her under the mistletoe once again at his parents Christmas party.

Olivia doesn’t know what to do with his change in personality, so she treats him with skeptical disdain. But he keeps showing up to hang out with her, so they eventually fall into like and she knows that he eventually will go home another state away, so their tryst has an expiration date. She’s applying for jobs out of state, and even though he can work remotely, it just can’t work since he’s moving back “home” even though he has no roots there. Alas, it can never be.

I’m being bitchily sarcastic I know, but the only reason I forced by self to finish this book is because I bought it flat out. I didn’t like Olivia at all, she came across as vain, bitchy, and whiny. Ty was immature, emotionally blank, and dull. I liked their time together okay, but geez, these are two full prone individuals and they acted like high schoolers. There was no real conflict, no real connection, and it just fell really flat for me. So it was nice. Merry Christmas.

Definitely a cute read - it was a bit slow for my personal tastes and it also rehashed some of the same things over and over. I feel like it really could have been a bit shorter. I did love the chemistry and the relationship between Olivia and Ty. They were a likable pair and it definitely put me in the Christmas spirit.

MERRY KISSMAS TO ME By Jerica MacMillian

Ty is Olivia's best friend's brother and her tormentor for as long as she can remember.

😊What i liked -

✔ Enemies To Lovers/Christmas Romance/Best Friend's Brother/Small Town/Rom-Com
✔ OH MY GOD this book is beyond cute.
✔ The banter between the two is as funny and spicy as their attraction and their first kiss.( don't mind me am roaming around with a mistletoe in my pocket looking for my very ownTy)
✔ I absolutely loved Ty's family. They are so sweet and warm.
✔ This book gives a total Hallmarky feeling with loads of spice in it.
✔ I loved the way the story progressed. It's got loads of banter, laughter, heartbreak (broke my heart too), bonds and a whole lot of swooniness.

🤔What could have been better -

✔ Hey where did Olivia's parents come from. I absolutely hated them.(they don't deserve even a mention in the book).

📚Who Should read :

👶Beginners
💝Romance Lovers
💕Enemies to Lovers
💞BFFs Brother
🎄Christmas Romance

📈My Rating : 4.5/5

P.s- Can you please give me directions to Ty's house, i have a mistletoe that I need to use.

Thank you Jerica MacMillian and Grey's Promotion for a copy.

2.5⭐️ this was cute enough I guess, but I really wasn’t a fan of either of the main characters…especially Ty. Both Ty and Olivia were so obnoxiously immature, especially when they were still in the period of “hating” each other.

Other than that, Olivia was mostly alright. My main issue with Ty was that he was CONSTANTLY comparing Olivia to his ex, Anna, but painting Anna in such an awful light. Like, he really could not compliment Olivia in his internal dialogue without putting Anna down and it was so obnoxious.

I also wasn’t really vibing with the writing style. The dialogue felt off and unnatural to me and I was often just straight up bored. And there were so many mundane things that were over explained and fully fleshed out for no reason.

See highlights/notes for details on the bits I didn’t like lol

Olivia would do anything for her best friend Sarah and that includes ending the animosity with her brother Ty when it comes to Christmas and her upcoming wedding. As they spend time together, she realizes what her true feelings for him are but will their relationship end when the New Year arrives?

Since they know each other so well Ty has always known how to get a reaction from Oliva however and it is no different now even though they have pushed the animosity between aside. He is drawn to her in a way he never expected but is he ready to allow another woman into his heart so soon after ending his last relationship?

There is no denying that Olivia and Ty have always had feelings for each other even if they refused to acknowledge it. The interactions between them were humorous but the story still had all the feels, and have you invested in ensuring that they find the happiness they both deserve.

A great story to get you in the holiday mood!

I stayed awake to finish "Merry Kissmas to Me" by Jerica MacMillan and let me tell you that every second was worth it. It's an amazing story with some of my favorite tropes, enemies to lovers and best friend's brother. The setting is perfect for this time of year with the whole Christmas Fest happening. I loved Olvia and Ty, and their constant push and pull at each other. Their banter and bickering were some of my favorite parts and I wish this was longer because I really enjoyed it!

Also, do not be fooled by this cute cover because the season might be cold but the book was certainly very, very steamy.

I wasn't a huge fan of Olivia or Ty. I found them both quite immature. They didn't communicate with each other at all. I wasn't a huge fan of Olivia in the first book. She was a crappy friend to Sarah. I hoped her story would endear her to me. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. I found her to be extremely judgmental and rude. She was so whiny, too. Ty isn't much better in that department. He should have just spoken to Olivia about his feelings. Sarah shouldn't have had to get them to be nice to each other. Hopefully, the next book will be better.

“And I prefer Olivia now, thank you.” His lips twitch with suppressed amusement again. “Awww. Come on. You’ll always be Livy to me.”

Im so thankful for this ARC !
I really like this one and now I want to read more holiday romances + now I can’t wait for Christmas.
I enjoyed reading about Olivia and Ty.
I liked how they absolutely hated each other and when they called truce - it was fun reading about them falling in love. There was sweet chemistry between them from the start.
The story takes place in small town - Arcadian Falls - and Christmas in small towns are especially beautiful.
There was one thing I really didn’t like - Ty mentioned his ex-girlfriend very often and compared Olivia and her a lot.

All in all, I really really enjoyed this one - I recommend it if you want a cute and fun, no drama read to get you into holiday spirit.

'Back in the wonderful world of Jerica MacMillan, we're treated to another Christmas romance set to give all the festive feels to even the grumpiest of grinches! -The British Bibliophile

Thank you to Grey's Promotions for sending me an ebook Advanced Readers Copy for me to read and leave an honest review.

I was first introduced to Jerica through her previously released novel A Very Grumpy Christmas , which earned a very solid four stars. A promising start for a first-time read author. After this successful read, I looked forward to when I could read another one of her novels and the time officially came now with this read.

Merry Kissmas to Me is another Christmas-themed romance from Jerica, much to my delight. As anyone who knows me will know that my favourite time of the year is the Christmas season, and I'm a sucker for a Christmas romance, so reading one is twice as thrilling and this novel promised to be just as so.

So, what tropes are we looking at? We have:

✔ Holiday Romance/Christmas Romance
✔ Best Friends Older Brother/Best Friends Sibling
✔ Forbidden Romance (minor trope)
✔ Second Chance
✔ Fling-to-Love
✔ Enemies-to-Lovers
✔ Return to Hometown

With those tropes, you're getting plenty of content to fill each one even in the smallest of ways. There's something in those tropes for everyone and perhaps, this read will sway in favour of a previous trope you weren't keen on. Anything can happen at Christmas, after all.

As outlined in the blurb, Ty Daniels--our leading man--, has picked on Olivia Banks--our leading lady--for what seems like a lifetime and a half. Childhood 'enemies' of sorts, if you will. The way they communicated between one another, was through their bickering, pranks and teasing. That childhood pastime extended into adulthood, and the 'feud' between them only grew as they themselves did.

One year and one kiss under mistletoe changed all that. It altered the course of their friendship and put them on a whole new path entirely. And Olivia doesn't know how to deal with that. At least, she thinks she doesn't.

Back in town, Ty now has no choice but to get along with Olivia for the sake of a wedding they're both attending. This path to a truce isn't as easy as either of them thinks it would be. Years of their pasts and the events within them are constantly at the forefront of their minds, and its up to them both to see if they're able to push past everything they've only ever known between them, for people that mean the world to them as after all, they don't want to be the ones to ruin the best day of someone's life.

The pair soon discover that getting along is not a problem for them, in more ways than one. It's easier to get along when all walls come down, and hidden desires are given into. Ty and Olivia are as right for each other as Christmas and snow, and it only took a situation outside of their control--and people they love--to give them a friendly nudge together and a point in the right direction.

Their time together was only meant to last during the wonderful Christmas season--a Christmas fling--, but it soon became so much more than either of them were willing to give up. Such as the magic of the festive season and with the help of some strategically placed mistletoe, Ty and Olivia become so much more than a best friend's older brother & a festive fling. And the journey to get them to the point of realisation was one I was glad to be there to read.

Merry Kissmas to Me is a sweet, romantic read that I would highly recommend lovers of romance novels, and all things Christmas, give a chance on for all the feels of the season to have in one, satisfying story.

4.5 stars!

Merry Kissmas to Me is another fantastic holiday romance from Jerica MacMillan. This book is the second book in her Arcadian Falls Christmas series - the first of which, A Very Grumpy Christmas, released last year and the characters are intertwined throughout this book as well. That means that while this book can certainly be enjoyed as a complete stand alone holiday rom-com, I personally suggest reading the first book in the series, if you haven't already.

Mistletoe kisses with your little sister's best friend shouldn't make you want more, right? Only with Ty and Olivia those kisses mixed with small town boredom and holiday festivities sparked a little somethings that neither of them ever expected to find with each other.

I love Arcadian Falls! It is seriously such a sweet, adorable and charming little town. Now that Sarah has found her HEA with Shane (and Sophie) it's time for her bestie Olivia. I thought that Olivia's character was really relatable- someone who is generally happy for those she cares about while also kind of feeling like she is missing out when her life isn't reaching the same milestones- especially around the holidays. I love the closeness of the Daniels family- and that Ty finally "saw the light" and was done with his former live in girlfriend who made his visits with them and his hometown few and far between.

The banter and bickering between Ty and Olivia is fun albeit a bit juvenile at times- but when they extend that olive branch and actually become more friendly toward each other there was this sweet yet familiar chemistry brewing between them. It was interesting to see how easily everyone adapted to the new dynamics of their relationship despite both Ty and Olivia saying that it was all only temporary. The easiness in their friendship turned more was reminiscent of a cozy hallmark movie where it all just kind of falls into place.

I will admit that the arc of the story where the heartbreak takes place kind of took me by surprise a bit. Communication or lack of it in regard to their hopes and wants from their relationship was Ty and Olivia's downfall- but the reasons Olivia pulled the pin to detonate it all felt like it was a little out of nowhere. But despite that, the grand gesture and reconciliation was heartwarming and made me happy.

I can't wait until next year when Jerica brings us back to Arcadian Falls for another holiday romance!

Merry Kissmas to Me by Jerica MacMillian is the second book in the Arcadian Falls Christmas series. I started to read this series last year by chance when I was in the mood to keep reading Christmas-themed books and I didn’t know what to choose from, so since then I’ve been super excited to get my hands on the second book. That’s because the protagonists, Ty and Olivia, set the expectations very high for me with their few interactions in the previous book of the series.

This time around, the story doesn’t revolve as much around the holiday season as it did in the first book. In my opinion, the author gave more importance to topics like talking about the future, deciding your career path, and focusing on building the relationship that you think you deserve. Don’t get me wrong, holiday-related things are still happening since this is a Christmas series and the story happens during that time of the year. It’s just that the main characters and their development as separate people and as a couple take more importance.

Apart from that, I do have to add that I think I might’ve set my expectations too high for this couple, and this is why maybe their dynamics didn’t feel as great as it should have for me. The romance was good and I liked the friendship they formed while they were both looking for different things in their lives, but the delivery of some of their interactions felt lacking somehow, and once again this is only because of the idea I had built up in my head.

All in all, it was a fast read that I enjoyed, seeing once again the main characters from the previous book and the cast of supporting characters. I cannot wait to see what’s in store for upcoming books!

4.25 Stars!! 💗🎄

Having read Ms.MacMillan's work a couple of times before i've been wanting to pick up even more of her books. When i found out that she was releasing another Christmas read after thoroughly enjoying A Very Grumpy Christmas last year i was so happy! I started looking forward to it from that point on and picked it up as soon as i could. I really enjoyed this story!

Olivia and Ty's journey pulled me in right from the start! These two have been each other's lives for years as Olivia is best friend's with Sarah, Ty's sister. Ty and Olivia have never gotten along. Then the kiss under the mistletoe happens. As Ty is back home for Christmas, will he and Olivia get along? And will this Christmas prove to be one Ty and Olivia can't forget?

I really liked the way Olivia and Ty got under each other's skin. They were entertaining to me. I wasn't sure how they'd tackle being around one another and their feelings. The chemistry between Olivia and Ty was undeniable. The feelings the season brings was captured through Olivia and Ty's journey so well. These two made their way into my heart and had it going through every bit of their story!

Getting to head back to Arcadian Falls made me so happy! It was awesome getting to reunite with Sarah and Shane!

With Merry Kissmas To Me, Ms.MacMillan has created such a great holiday read that got me right in the heart with the feels! If you are looking for holiday reads this year, curl up with some hot cocoa and check out A Very Grumpy Christmas and Merry Kissmas To Me from this author. I can't wait for more from her! 💗🎄

Merry Kissmas To Me is a enemies to lovers, best friend's brother, Christmas romance set in Jerica Macmillan's Arcadian Falls world and is Ty and Olivia's addictive story.
Ty has been picking on his little sister's best friend for years now, but one Christmas when he's back home in Arcadian Falls a mistletoe kiss changes everything.
Fast forward a year from that earth shattering kiss, nothing has changed between them, if anything their dislike for each other has gotten worse, but it doesn't stop them from reliving that kiss and now they're both single, is this their chance to recreate their mistletoe kiss and see if it's just as amazing as they remember or has the memory of the kiss been built up so much that the real thing cannot hold a candle to it.
But taking things further with your little sister's best friend is bound to make things complicated and add in the fact that Ty is leaving after the holidays, is this the recipe for potential heartbreak or is it the start of something incredible?
"I've loved Ty-platonically-basically my entire life.
But that's made keeping my heart out of the equation harder than I expected. I thought it would be easy, since Ty liked picking on me, to avoid getting too attached."
Read Merry Kissmas To Me to find out what happens next!
I loved Merry Kissmas To Me, I couldn't put it down and I'm hoping this won't be the last we see of these Arcadian Falls characters! I also loved getting to revisit Shane, Sarah and Sophie from A Very Grumpy Christmas!
I received an arc of Merry Kissmas To Me and I am voluntarily leaving my review.

I love this book! Ty Daniels is Olivia's best friend's older brother. He has been picking on her since she was little. Suffice it to say that they were always bickering until last Christmas when they found themselves under the mistletoe and shared one hot kiss.

One year later, Olivia is still single and Ty is no longer with his long time girlfriend and came back to his hometown to get his life back in order. He bumps into Olivia again and the memory of their kiss has been repeating in his mind the past year. H steals another kiss under another mistletoe just to confirm in his mind that that kiss had to be a one off, but the sparks were still there for both of them.

Olivia can't get over the fact that Ty is kissing her after all their interactions. They agreed to call a truce to their one upping because don't want to ruin Ty's sister, Sarah and Shane's wedding which they are part off. Unbeknownst to them, now that they are not fighting, their attraction to each other takes over and they agree to have fun until Ty goes back to Vancouver after the New Year. Olivia doesn't want a relationship because of the last boyfriend left her and Ty knows he's not staying so this works out for him too.

They are both not looking for anything more but they fell for each other anyway. I love this story! Ms. Macmillan did it again. I love her book and can't wait for her next story!

I received an advance copy for my honest opinion.

This was cute.

One thing that was a bit contrived was the “enemies” part of the enemies to lovers trope. Other than her saying about 20 times in the first 25% of the book that she hated Ty because he’d been “picking on” her for her whole life, there was no real evidence of any maliciousness on Ty’s part. So it is a “just take her word for it, he was really mean” thing going on. The Ty shown in the story is good natured and, yes, a bit teasing but only in a playful way. Never mean. So that made me roll my eyes whenever Olivia wanted to “stamp her feet” or some such behavior in annoyance at him (which, seems to me, the act of a petulant child).

But it recovers once they get together, although at first it’s mostly physical (a couple too many steamy scenes for my taste but I just skipped the last couple). They do hit their stride with some great dialogue and real connection as it progresses and it does have some good Christmas-y moments.

Of course it has the dreaded (at least for me), forced tension at about the 90% mark. I was actually thinking we may have escaped that since it came fairly late in the story. I was just thinking by that time that maybe it would be a story with actual adult communication, but alas…

I don’t mean that to sound rough because it’s something most romance novels suffer from, so it’s just something I’ve grown accustomed to and all in all, this is serviceable as a pretty cute Christmas romance with a nice HEA.

This book checks off all my favorite aspects to a holiday romance (and then some!!). I adore a good banter between characters in an enemies to lovers trope and this one hit every mark with ease.

We find both out of bad relationships that jade them to a certain point, yet the electricity they feel with one another is more powerful and demanding. I love how they can't stay away from each other, developing healthier relationship patterns from the very beginning. Their bickering is childish, at times, yet it will make you laugh out loud and helps build the anticipation for the steam.

The distinct differences in Olivia and Ty's families, along with the characters and location are very well written. I love feeling like I'm part of the group! Once you get to know Olivia's family, you can easily relate to how she is feeling and fully grasp why she pulls away. It's heartbreaking, but I promise, the HEA is well worth all of it.

I am excited to have discovered a new author and can't wait to get my hands on more of her books. They're definitely going to become a regular part of my holiday reading routine. I'll never look at mistletoe the same way!

Ty is a brother of Olivia's best friend so they've known each other their whole life or at least until Ty moved out of their small town that is. I think they've secretly attracted to each other but with Ty's sister, they're also off limits to each other so they've marked their attractions by bickering and arguing with each other instead... until they had to kiss each other because they stood under a mistletoe at a restaurant.

The story is very entertaining with their bickering and fighting about everything. And because of Olivia's issues, the story also has an angsty vibe but not much to destroy a festive vibe. I like Olivia. She is smarter and stronger than she thinks she is. Ty is like a boy who has a crush on a girl but he doesn't know how to get her attention so he chooses to tease her instead. But when they get a chance to know each other better, they can't deny their attractions any longer and end up having a holiday fling or they think they are. If you think their chemistry is off-the-charts when they first kissed under a mistletoe, wait till they finally give into their attractions. It's sexy and steamy AF.

After I finished reading this book, I think it is a Best Friend's Brother Christmas Romance that would warm you up for this Christmas Holiday if you're a fan of small town and festive holiday.

Thank you @greyspromo for an early copy of Merry Kissmas to Me by Jerica MacMillan. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. 🤍

Merry Kissmas to Me is a fast-paced, feel-good Christmas romance about Ty and Olivia, who have known each other since they were kids. Ty has always been picking on and teasing Olivia, though she has always had a crush on him regardless. After they shared a kiss under the mistletoe, sparks began to fly between them. How are they going to go through this new development in their relationship when Ty is only in town for a while and Olivia is still trying to build her own life and dreams?

While I haven't read the first book in this series, it took a bit of time for me to get used to the other characters here as they were introduced all at once, though it was mentioned that this can be read as a standalone. I did eventually love all the characters, especially the MCs Ty and Olivia - their banter was funny at times, and their chemistry is apparent. It's like I'm reading a Hallmark movie, and I'm living for it!

Rating Merry Kissmas to Me ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5. Would recommend it for a light Christmas read! Releases November 17th, 2022.

What a fun and engaging story this was! Ty and his little sister’s bff, Olivia, have a bit of a frenemies vibe going on. He treated her like a younger sibling while growing up, and their relationship hasn’t changed in 20+ years. Until a smooch under the mistletoe ramps up the bickering (which is off page, but talked about)
Suddenly a year has gone by and it’s Christmas again in their small town. Deciding to bury the hatchet, they discover that being friends is definitely more interesting than being adversaries. Especially when it involves more kissing…and other things!
But can two people at different places in their lives have anything other than a holiday fling? They can if they try. I really liked both Olivia and Ty as people, as much as I liked this pairing as a couple. There was no overwhelming drama, which I appreciate more so in my holiday reads than any other time of the year. I want those to be lighthearted and warm…but still filled with deeper feelings and, frankly, a lot more sexiness than the Hallmark channel movies being played 24/7! And Jerica MacMillan hit each of those notes perfectly for me. Even before turkey day, she’s put me in the mood for lights, tinsel and a visit from Santa!

Enemies to lovers to heat up your holiday!
Merry Kissmas To Me (Arcadian Falls Christmas Book 2) by Jerica MacMillan welcomes reads back to Arcadian Falls with heat, humor and heart. With Ty and Olivia at odds in the best of times and bickering enemies most of the time, one would wonder how these two would ever work? With a little intervention from Ty's sister, and Olivia's best friend, Sarah, these two embark on a permanent truce beginning immediately. Turns out that becomes a very nice idea with tones of naughty mixed in too.
The plot of this book is fairly straightforward with this enemies to lovers couple. The setting of Arcadian Falls as common ground as well as their connection to Sarah makes for an entertaining read. For each of these characters there is also plenty of angst, part of which interferes with real communication. Even as Olivia and Ty turn up the heat, neither shares their innermost thoughts which leads to miscommunication and an early demise of their relationship.
Overall, this holiday romance using the magic of the holidays to its greatest advantage with these enemies to lovers characters. Despite the antagonizing past between these two, the connection of the past becomes a boon and fosters feelings to grow and engage their hearts for a love-filled HEA.
I read an ARC of this book via Grey's Promotions and voluntarily share my review.

Merry Kissmas to Me is a cute holiday romance in a small town. Ty and Olivia have known each other the majority of their lives because Olivia and Ty's sister, Sarah are best friends. While Ty and Olivia have always had more a of sibling/friend relationship, once they start spending time together while attempting to help Sarah, they both realize they have feelings for each other. However, Ty is only in town for the holidays and Olivia is attempting to find a job out of town, so they decide on a temporary relationship that ends after the holidays.

While this was marketed as an enemies-to-lovers, I found it to be more of a friends-to-lovers with a bit of misunderstanding. Ty and Olivia clearly care about each other from the beginning, but that makes their relationship and their situation so heartbreaking as they figure out how/if their futures can work.

This book had some unexpected emotional scenes that had me feeling like I was intruding on personal moments, and I have never had that in a book before, which says a lot to me. The written connection between Ty and Olivia was spectacular!

Merry Kissmas to Me will put you in the holiday mood. I love being back in Arcadian Falls again. This was an adorable read! The older brother teasing the younger sister's best friend. It is full of laugh out loud moments and sweet cozy romance. I really enjoyed the characters and the crazy emotions from them. Ty and Olivia were made for each other and it shows throughout the book with their antics.

My favorite part has to be the first kiss scene. It was like a magical moment in time that you will remember for many years to come and in Olivia's case she does. The whole book is full of those sweet little moments that give you the feel goods, making this the perfect romance for the holiday season.

The characters are so amazing, fun and engaging. They truly have the sweetest story and it was so much fun reading about it. Ty and Olivia have great personalities and are really sweet people. I felt as if Ty was a tough nut to crack at times as Olivia is not his usual type of woman. Olivia gives as good as she gets with Ty. His teasing is matched with her quick whit, time and time again.

If you are looking for a sweet, yet fun Christmas romance, then this should definitely be in your top five holiday season reads.
