Some helpful rules to stay alive during an apocalypse:
1. Keep your socks dry. 2. Don't eat expired tuna. Seriously. 3. Grab the baddest scariest guy you see and don't let go. 4. Do whatever he says (you might just like it). 5. Don't fall in love.
They say romance died when society collapsed. They were right. It's brutal out here. My last date had no teeth. He took me to the Great Tire Fire and roasted a rat on a stick. I was convinced I was going to die alone at the tender old age of twenty-two until I saw Max. He was wearing a freaking skull on his head. It was terror at first sight. But like bacteria on wet socks, Max will grow on you. And this obsessive alpha might just give me the best happy ending you can get in this nightmarish hellscape.
The Ravagers were formed to kill all the zombies. Now that the zombies are long gone, who's left to take out the Ravagers? They're cruel, barbaric men who raid and steal from the ordinary people trying to make a life after the carnage. When Marley gets stolen on a raid, she's expecting the worst, but she gets the best—she gets Max. Insta-love at its finest in a SAFE read with no cheating and a HEA guaranteed.

Pretty soon, it gets really hot and steamy, until finally, you’re left smiling and satisfied. Unlike your date, the book will not call you the next morning, but you can always read it again!
Always wild, over-the-top alpha males, insta-love, safe, virgin heroines, and a fun steamy ride guaranteed!

When i first saw the cover , i was like........how is that thing not slipping down her chest? Is it ...like.........taped or something? Forgive my overactive imagination. The cover is REALLY amazing by the way.
Plot-
This is, i must say, a LOT different and a LOT same in some ways to her previous books. After a gruesome war, and contagion, and zombies attacks, MOST of the population has been wiped out.
Internet, wi-fi, Target, Tiffany, ammunition , French wine, Metro, Pizza, Clubbing, Paparazzi, Hollywood, Porno, hospitals, governments , hashtags are a thing of pasts.
Now , "The Ravagers" , rule the planet, BIG burly shirtless men with dagger-like weapons and armour made of animal skull, roam around . They were , MANY years ago, recruited by the govt. to kill the zombies, but after wiping out EVERY zombie from the planet, there thirst for power increased and they started ruling with an iron fist.
Food, money, women, children, animals, they stole WHATEVER they could from the common people.
People began to live in secret camps , and in one of this camp lives Marley our h.
Marley-20-
Beautiful. Fierce. She hit a 7 foot tall man with a bare fist, the man didn't even flinch , but i admired her will power.
The H, Max -Late 20s-
Is a Ravager. Who falls in love with a commoner.
🛑🛑SPOILERS🛑🛑
Dual virgins.
OW drama-NO.
OM drama-A man hits the h and leers at her, when he tries to touch her, next thing we know is, his head is lying lifeless, 6 feet away. The H , cuts his head off.
Triggering- Olivia's books aren't triggering EVER. BUT BUT BUT, THIS one is PRETTY gruesome. Since these are somewhat cavemen people, there is A LOT of on-page description of killing 5 to 6 times during the book.
The rest not so much. It’s very OTT. Think JK but less smutty lol.
I have to give props for the plot being complete, wrapping itself up nicely, but everything else was not the best. I struggled to get thru the writing and the immature behaviors of the characters.
I can’t even think with this stunning view in front of me. She’s incredible. She’s what I’ve been fighting for all this time. Every swing of the sword. Every slash of undead flesh. All those years of horror. It was for this. I was fighting to keep this beautiful body safe. To keep her extraordinary mind intact. To protect this lovely amazing girl. All that violence and bloodshed… culminating in this beautiful moment with my angel. Two lovers in a loveless world. This moment of peace, of love, of carnal desire… It was all for this… And it was worth it.
It's The Freaking Apocalypse And This Is My New Boyfriend was ridiculously OTT insta-everything but I don't care because I completely enjoyed it. I will definitely check out more books by this author.
3.3 stars. So this was new. That title. Oh my god. *chef’s kiss* So good. So hilarious. And that cover?! Wow. Just wow. Her under boob is fierce. 😂 The branding for this book is On. Point.
The story was actually pretty interesting. We don’t get too far into things, because it’s pretty short. But what we do get is new and different. I really enjoyed it. Plus the sex was steamy and hot.
A little cheesy. A little hilariously cliche. But also fun. I had a good time.
Ever wonder what happens after the hero dudes kill all the zombies?
The premise here is right up my alley. A world gone primitive. Sadly, this short book was like a long gratuitous sex scene surrounded by a few violent cue cards. It didn’t give me enough.
Three years after the last zombie died. All the heroes have turned savage. The everyday folks just try to stay out of their way as the antiheroes pilfer what remains.
The MMC was once a hero. Today, he gets to remember that as he saves the FMC.
That’s where things go wonky.
His motive is simply that she’s beautiful - his, his soulmate, his everything. This is one of those plot devices you just have to go with the flow, and that rarely works for me. I’d have enjoyed this better if there had been some connection built … he could’ve known her before all this, he could’ve been watching her hide for years before this moment, etc… but, no. This is that eye contact alone suddenly makes him see her as the only thing in the world that matters. Even for insta love, this is too OTT for my taste.
The whole Troy remake scene of fighting thirty bad guys a few at a time didn’t work for me. I mean he was a firefighter, not an immortal Greek God.
Plot holes…
I ran track in high school and that’s what saved me.
I’m not the kind of girl to easily submit. I fought and evaded thieves, zombies, Ravagers, and wild animals for the past seven years.
At eighteen, she’s two years younger than me.
^ The FMC is 20… minus seven for the start of the zombie apocalypse… making her 13 at the start of it. So, how the hell did a 13yo run track in high school? The blurb says she’s 22, but the book says she’s 20?
Speaking of the blurb…
Some helpful rules to stay alive during an apocalypse: 1.
^^ I’m expecting that kind of dry humor within the book. It wasn’t there… not a drop. This is one of the best blurbs I’ve read, and the book didn’t live up to it.
Again with the plot inconsistencies, in the book, she says she’s never had a date or even looked at a man as a man. The blurb jokes about a date. My point is the inconsistencies. It’s unprofessional, and you’re led to believe you’re getting a book that your not - right down to the cover art.
Speaking of cover, you’d think this is more primitive living based on the FMC wearing a strip of animal as a shirt. No. She’s wearing normal clothes. His chainmail shit is actually old SWAT gear. They do use swords, knives, and other primitive weapons. The look, however, of the cover is otherwise completely at odds with the on-page reality.
All that aside, if you’re looking for way OTT erotic possessive insta love with NO OW/OM in sight and the muted backdrop of the apocalypse, you might like this book. This comes off more like a dirty dream than an actual storyline. Both are virgins, which is not fathomable to me given the environment, but it’s a niche that might appeal to certain readers.
Overall…
Not the worst thing I’ve read, but it wasn’t what I expected it to be based on the blurb. Quick… so I didn’t waste a lot of time and finished it to the HEA. Not sure how to rate this fairly, which is why I’ll leave the review to speak for itself.
This was an OTT book lol. It was a fun read and satisfying
-Apocalypse romance -h is taken from her camp with her friend to be given to the Ravagers leader whose a huge nasty man who keeps all the woman they find for him self. -H is a bodyguard to the head Ravager and as soon and him and h lock eyes he knows she’s is his -H is strong and not gonna let anyone touch his girl. He kills his boss and fights there say outta the camp. -This is like a 2 days story but of course he kills everyone for her. They have steamy smexy time, both VCards, I love yours, this is forever thing lol -I loved The H he was protective and takes on basically a small army for her. -h was tough also having to survive in a pre zombie world so she’s got her mans back! -This was like a few other from this author that I’ve read, OTT H and everything happens within like 2 days lol but it’s a fun steamy quick read with all the insta everything lol 😂
I don’t know if this is a 2.5 star or a 3. The total alone makes me want to give it the higher rating. The what the forking hell did I just read makes me want to give it the lower. I just don’t know.
Holy hotness, zombies and post-apocalypse madness. Olivia has combined her trademark OTT alpha male instalove goodness with the madness of a Mad Max type post apocalyptic spin and I couldn’t take my eyes off my kindle at all while I devoured this one sit read. Marley is not your typical young adult woman - she survived the zombie apocalypse and now she spends her days just trying to survive in the ruthless aftermath. She is smart, brave and fast - but when her and her best friend are taken by a group of Ravagers, she knows that they are about to be shown a whole new level of Hell when they are given to the group’s ruthless leader.
Max is a bruiser for the Ravagers’ leader but his whole existence is knocked for a loop when his eyes land on Marley. He realizes that all he has done in the past is for this woman in front of him now and he will do everything in his power to protect her moving forward. I am smitten over this latest work of Olivia’s - it is action packed and full of protective alpha goodness that I have come to expect from this author. The whole post-apocalypse vibe is something completely new from her and I am totally digging it. It’s a completely different vibe from her past stories but still packed with her trademark OTT instalove. I am really hoping that we may see another book set in this world based around Marley’s best friend - either way I loved this and can’t wait to see what Olivia brings to the table next.
Plot: It's been some years since the end of the world as we know it, and bands of Ravagers started out as sort of paramilitary law enforcement and have morphed into violent bands of marauders. Marley and her friend are all dressed up for a wedding when their compound is raided by the Ravagers and are kidnapped and taken back to Boris, the leader. But when Max, one of the "bouncers" (a sort of inner-circle bodyguard group), sees Marley, all bets are off - he knows he's found the one for him. He just has o make sure that Marley understands that he's not like the other Ravagers.
Commentary: This was a cute story, light on the apocalypse and heavy on the insta-love. Max is a good person who's just been stagnating in his position with the Ravagers (although I do wonder what kind of things he's done with them before he met Marley). I like that he made sure to protect Marley's friend as well, and in exchange, she of course defended him to the rest of the people in the compound when they would have rejected him. It was a pleasant half-hour or so of reading.
Grammar/formatting: some grammar issues (misplaced modifier, commonly confused words)
The title is awesome but the story itself is not that humorous. It's more of an over the top, smutty, action adventure in a post-zombie world. I liked Marley right away as she was strong and independent. I laughed when she couldn't understand why her friend Cassandra wanted to shave her legs and armpits. What's the point in wearing a sexy dress? Where would you store your weapons?
Max is one of the bad guys...at first. As soon as he sees Marley, he knows that she's meant to be his.
This book was super OTT and I don't really think that's what I was in the mood for right now. So this rating might be a case of it's me, not it. Anywho. The title was fun. The book itself had a strong Alexa Riley vibe (as in, if you don't question things too closely and like your heroes SUPER possessive, this might be right up your alley) with a lot of insta-love on both sides. If that's your jam, you'll like it.
This hot insta love, over-the-top possessive romance was such fun to read😍 I mean...double virgins and the steamiest sex scenes?!?!! (Chapter 6+7, your welcome😉)
I’ve read dystopian romances before that were grim with love as the light in the darkness, but they were heavy and draining. This one was just fun. The world has ended and everyone is living on the razors edge of survival, trying to evade a savage, roaming band of psychos known as fhe Ravagers, who took control when society collapsed and kept control thru their brutality. There’s violence in this one as the hero has to slash his way thru violent men to keep his woman safe, but it’s also lighthearted and super steamy
This book was safe, as there was no abuse or cheating and the MCs are both virgins, but there was the threat of being violated and the heroine is hit by one of the Ravagers
I really enjoyed this book, I only wish it was longer. It combined three of my favorite things in a book: apocalyptic setting, steaminess, and a OTT alpha.
Avert your eyes children- spoilers ahead... The first 50% of this book is pretty interesting and even though I had burning questions about like how are they securing their compound from the Ravagers and how they could have hosted a wedding and dancing without security, I went with it.
Enter Max- who once he set eyes upon this girl, he kills the warlord and escapes with her and her friend. They must have the land speed record for Insta-love because its probably about 3 hours that they go from meeting and running to sex and I LOVE YOU. OMG. AND THEY ARE BOTH VIRGINS. IN THE APOCYLAPSE. HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN. THE SEX SCENES ARE SO CHEESY I WAS YELLING AT THE BOOK. HE IS AN EXPERT LOVEMAKER EVEN THOUGH HE IS A VIRGIN. THESE ARE NOT 16, 17 YEAR OLDS, THEY ARE 20 AND OLDER.
I had to stop at 67% DNF. OF A 2 HOUR NOVELLA. I CAN'T BELIEVE IT AND CAN'T STOP WRITIING IN CAPS THIS BOOK WAS SOOOO BAD.
This is actually not my first time reading a book with this stock image, strangely enough.
This story is fun. Pretty silly. Very OTT. An enjoyable way to spend a couple of hours—best to not dwell on the too-light-to-call-it world building back story in this one. Just lose yourself in the cheese.
Let's all be real 👀 the things that make you want to read this book is the cover and the title. I was expecting the whole "Me Tarzan. You Jane" vibe. It had some "she's mine" elements that have you swooning for this man. So, I was happy with the story. It's smutty and has a lot of gory details that aren't that bad, in my opinion. I really liked it.
Algo diferente para probar aunque no funcionó para mí.

It's the freacking apocalypse and This Is my new boyfriend de Olivia T. Turner
Argumento:
Algunas reglas útiles para mantenerse con vida durante un apocalipsis:
1. Mantenga sus calcetines secos.
2. No coma atún vencido. Seriamente.
3. Agarra al tipo más malo y aterrador que veas y no lo sueltes.
4. Haga lo que él diga (puede que le guste).
5. No te enamores.
Dicen que el romance murió cuando la sociedad colapsó.
Tenían razón.
Es brutal aquí afuera.
Mi última cita no tenía dientes.
