The final showdown for the Special Forces team in Vietnam! Perfect for fans of Andrew Watts, L. T. Ryan, Don Keith and George Wallace.

Captain Gerber’s team encounter a top-ranked NVA sniper while on a mission to southern Laos…

Vietnam, 1968

Senior military officers from the Chinese People’s Liberation Army and the NVA are meeting in Laos to sign an agreement that could alter the course of the war in Vietnam.

U.S. Army Special Forces Captain Mack Gerber and Master Sergeant Anthony B. Fetterman lead an elite team with a Marine sniper to disrupt the conference and take out the delegation. It’s a dangerous cross-border operation involving a night-time parachute jump from low altitude into enemy-occupied territory.

But the Green Berets haven’t counted on a former nemesis turning up alive and now leading the delegate’s security at the signing.

And waiting for Gerber's team is the best sniper in the NVA.

One good shot will change everything.

May the best shot win.

I'm disappointed with SNIPER by Eric Helm. I've ready many of his other books and those within this series and found this one to be out of place, as if it were written by somebody else. In this book, the chapters seem too long, unlike the other books where the scenes changed quicker.

The story started out with action and then settled in to long drawn out discussions...the middle half of the book was like this and I almost stopped reading it on several occassions because it was so boring. The last 25% was the actual mission with non-stop action. The only reason I kept going was because I liked the main characters and wanted to see how it all played out. There is one more book left in this series and I will get it to see how the series ends. Hopefully it is better than this one. Oh, and I did come across several typos in the story which is something I didn't see in the author's other books.

Exciting

An exciting story of the Nam and it's epic sniper sacrifices to get the job done. Will definitely read more from Mr. Helm. Only comment I have is it's Parris Island, not Paris Island. Semper Fi!

Sniper book 5

A
well researched book by Mr. Helm, full of action and you felt you were in the woods with them. Can't wait to read more by this author and anyone who likes military stories will like this writer.

Worst of the series by far

A silly attempt to bring a new perspective to the Seals series. Belongs in a high school student's notebook, not a really good series of adventure novels.

Not book for me

I've read many of this author books but this one just wasn't for me, I think other people may find this book interesting. It is more paranormal or SiFi than a war novel and I just didn't find it interesting.

Super read!!

A very interesting story, obviously woven between fact and fiction by a writer who, apparently, has been there. Keep 'em coming!! And only found one typo!!!

Disappointing. For some reason this book could not keep my interest. Unlike the other SEALS books, this was lackluster, tame and boring.

I read this when I was probably about ten. It was the first war novel geared toward adults that I ever read and I loved it, as much of it as I could understand anyway. I'm not sure how good of a book it is or how much I would like it now since it's been about two decades since I read it.
