He’s bringing a ghost town back to life…

Ten years ago, desperate to save his father’s life, Carter Elliott pulled the plug on Elliott Ridge, the failing company town owned by his family for generations. After a decade with the Navy SEALs, he’s back to resurrect it so he can bring his father home. He’s ready to start a family of his own, too, but first he’ll need a wife. The minute Carter meets Amanda Stakewell, he knows she’s everything he’s been looking for, so he offers to sell her his house for a dollar—and to renovate it for her, too.

She’s searching for a place to call home…

Three months ago, Amanda allowed her father back into her life, but when she discovers he’s swapped one of his forgeries for a masterpiece, she steals the original from him, determined to return it. Too late, she learns a far more deadly criminal is after the painting. Now she’s on the run and a small, abandoned logging town sounds like the perfect place to hide. She’s willing to trade a dollar for a temporary roof over her head. And if a handsome Navy SEAL wants her to help him renovate it, she can go along with that, too. She’s not going to fall in love with him, though. She’s learned her lesson when it comes to men.

Now Carter is doing his best to show Amanda how good life on the Ridge with him could be and she’s finding it hard to resist his vision of the future.

But when Amanda goes missing, Carter finds himself in a race against time to find her before he loses everything he loves—all over again.

This is a great new series and I can't wait to read about the others!

Amanda recently let her father back into her life only to find out that he's stolen a masterpiece and replaced it with one of his forgeries. Unfortunately, this isn't the first time that he's done this. To make matters worse, Amanda comes home early one night and can't find her father. He calls her and tells her to get out of the house now because he's old partner in crime is out of jail and she's in danger. Amanda grabs the masterpiece and leaves. She has no idea where to go and just keeps moving around until she randomly settles on Chance Creek.

Carter Elliott grew up on Elliott Ridge with his parents and brothers. This town has been in their family for generations until things started to fail with their logging business and one thing lead to another and people started leaving the town. Carter saw that his father was working himself to the bone and him and his brothers decided to leave town hoping that that would get their father to slow down. It did but much worse, the town really went to pieces. Carter is now ready to leave the military and wants to rebuild Elliott Ridge but he needs his brothers to help him and he only has one year to do it before a huge balloon payment comes due and they don't have the money to pay it off. In the meantime, someone is trying to buy out their land to make a luxury golf course and housing.

Carter goes to the airport to pick up one of his brothers and sees Amanda coming off the plane and immediately falls for her. He convinces her to come to Elliott Ridge and help them out and he'll give her a house for $1. She follows him and begins to help the family with odd jobs to pay her way. In the meantime, she's hiding this painting and Carter knows that she's hiding something but doesn't know what it is. Of course, they start to fall for each other even with this secret between them.

Amanda's constantly looking over her shoulder for Buck to come back and hurt her and take the masterpiece. She finally figures out how to return it without getting caught but it's not that easy and I couldn't believe what happened next!

A great beginning to a series I can't wait to get more of!

Carter’s ancestors founded Elliott Ridge, but now the town has been more or less abandoned after a series of unfortunate financial issues. Carter and his brothers both left their family behind to join the military, unable to watch their father’s desperate attempts to keep the town going any longer. Now they’ve all come home, and Carter, the youngest brother, is determined to return the town to its former glory. Part of his plan is to draw young women - the demographic the local area is sorely lacking - back into the area, and when he meets Amanda, he wastes no time in approaching her - making her an offer to sell her a house for one dollar. His motivations aren’t entirely down to his love for Elliott Ridge - he’s instantly attracted to her and instinctively knows she belongs with him. But he doesn’t know that Amanda is on the run from her own past - and that past is about to catch up with her.

I enjoyed this. The writing was good and engaging, and I thought this had a fun concept. It’s definitely a fantasy - in truth I thought the whole idea of Amanda accepting Carter’s offer within minutes of meeting him was silly and required a lot of suspension of disbelief, but it played out in an entertaining way and I liked how interested they both were in each other from the get go. They had decent chemistry and some romantic moments together that worked really well for me. I also thought the wider concept of restoring the town was quite an interesting one and I’m intrigued to see how this would play out in future books.

However, I did think this was a little slow - parts of it felt like filler and I didn’t always feel the urge to pick it up and carry on reading it. It was a nice book but not always the most exciting, although it did have a well-written conclusion that took me by surprise. Overall this was a decent book and I’ll be keeping an eye out for other installments in this series.

Content Notes: Instalove / instalust, small town, military MC, construction/renovation.

What a wonderfully exciting tale Ms. Seton has spun for us! In typical Cora Seton fashion, she has brought to life yet another small town, complete with a host of characters for us to get to know over the course of the series. I have to say, I'm super stoked to discover who the new residence of Elliott Ridge will be. I'm positive that the rest of the Elliott men will have their own special tales brought to life, and can only hope that it will be soon. I am always so excited to discover that Ms. Seton has a new book on the way, let alone a new series, and this one certainly has not disappointed me!
In this, the first of the Elliott's series, we are introduced to five siblings, all from different branches of the military, and each with a strength to bring to their town. When Carter Elliott is told that his father is planning on selling the Ridge, the decision to leave the military and "go home" has been set in motion. All he has to do is make sure his brothers all fall into place and join him. He was ready! Now, if only he could find the right woman!
When Amanda Stakewell finds herself on the run, she sets out to cover her tracks and find a place to settle down, somewhere unknown. But, little did she know, life was about to throw her a curveball, and all her wishes were about to come to light, even if she didn't realize she had them. Will these two be able to endure the ups and downs, the danger and safety? Will they both finally get what it is they weren't aware they were looking for?
An awesome read, just the right pace and characters you will remember, complete with excitement, suspense and lots of loving. I am so looking forward to the next in this series!
I was gifted a copy of this book and am giving my honest opinion.

Great start to a new series.

I loved Amanda and Carter’s story and the hopeful premise of the town of Elliot Ridge. It is a hot suspenseful romance that keeps you enthralled and is full of all the big feeling inducing well crafted words. Carter and his four brothers agree to go back to Elliot Ridge to try to revive the company town owned by their family. They have a year to do so before they’ll lose the land. Amanda runs from her apartment in LA with a painting stolen by her father believing she is being chased by a convicted murderer. She randomly flies into Chance Creek, Montana. Carter is in the Chance Creek airport picking up his last brother when he sees Amanda getting off the plane. From the moment Carter sees her, he is sure Amanda is meant to be his wife. So he impulsively offers her a house for $1 if she moves to Elliot Ridge. Thus begins the fast paced, dangerous, but swoony journey to their HEA. The book has a little bit of everything just like you would expect from romantic suspense - sweet moments, strong family bonds, sexy times, real life issues, imperfect characters, dangerous moments, mystery, uber protective men, painful pasts, evil actors, and so much love. The story included witty dialogue, three dimensional characters who grow, and an engaging storyline. Cora Seton excels at creating beautiful, rich, loving and fun small towns populated by secondary characters who enhance the main love story rather detract from it. House for Sale Navy Seal Included is further proof of her absolute mastery. It was fun to see a few characters from previous Chance Creek series make appearances in this book as well. I cannot wait to see what is next for the rest of the Elliott family and the town of Elliot Ridge. 4.5 stars.

Elliot Ridge is, as the name suggests, named for Carter Elliot's family, and as much as it hurt him to do so, he left the Ridge to join the Navy a decade ago, never believing he'd return. Yet, when circumstances change, and he decides to resurrect the tiny logging town so he can bring his father home, he pushes himself past the pain of his childhood and the negativity of his brothers to see if there's any hope remaining on this family land. When he meets a beautiful woman, Amanda Stakewell, who's obviously running from her own ghosts, he has no idea the trouble she brings with her or the desire she awakens in him to raise his own family on the land that still holds a place in his heart despite the shadows it casts on his past.

I have missed stories like this. I'm always glad with this author decides to start a new series because she brings with her the meaning of small-town romance, and I'm never disappointed. This is precisely one of those stories. It had me smiling and filled me with angst as the characters navigated their way through the mysteries that come with returning home. It is an invitation to take up residence in the pages of another of her stories. It was a breath in a world full of disquiet, and I look forward to the next breath.

I was so happy to be jumping into a new series by Cora Seton and returning to Montana, not too far from the town of Chance Creek which is the town of the first books that drew me in by Cora Seton!

This new series is about a group of brothers who all used to serve in different branches of the military and are jow back in their home town that was founded by their ancestors to revitalize it after having it be empty for the last 12 years when a crash in the market drove all the inhabitants away from the town.

It is such a cute town and I can't wait to see what these brothers, their friends and love interests can do with this town.

Carter and Amanda had an instant connection which was adorable. Carter felt pretty quickly that Amanda was the one for him and could envision a life with her in Elliot Ridge. Amanda who was running away from a danger in her life stumbles across the town of Elliot Ridge and jumps right into helping the brothers revitalize it. Amanda finds a person in Carter who can keep her safe and make her a priority after she's spent most of her life being pushed aside.

I can't wait to read the love story for the other brothers!

When Carter Elliott spies Amanda at the airport he instinctively knows she is the woman he wants to spend the rest of his life with. He is currently on a mission with his brothers to restore their family business and town. Not willing to let Amanda go, he gives her the opportunity of a lifetime – a home and a life at Elliott Ridge. However Amanda is on the run with her own baggage and a lot of secrets. This opportunity seems to good to be true, but once there not only is she swept away with the magic and the possibilities at Elliott Ridge, she’s also swept away by Carter. She’s finally found somewhere to belong and where she is accepted for who she is. No matter how far she runs though, her past is determined to catch up to her. Will it be the thing that tears her new life apart?
Be still my beating heart, with the magic of Elliott Ridge and five Elliott brothers I am in love!
Not only was Carter and Amanda’s story dramatic, heart warming and heart stopping at times, it was also a great introduction to the Elliott brothers and the magic of Elliott Ridge.

What a joy to find Cora Seton is releasing a new series!  Cora weaves an entertaining and exciting drama about a family of retired military men determined to resurrect the family town they abandoned over a decade ago.

Carter Elliott left his family's generational town with his brothers years ago and now they are all back to resurrect Elliott's Ridge. But Carter wants a wife at his side, and he knew as soon as he saw her walk off the plane that he wanted to take Amanda home to Elliott's Ridge with him.

Amanda can't believe her father has betrayed her again. On the run, she lands in the small town of Chance Creek. The offer she receives from a handsome man in the airport is impossible to pass up. She needs to disappear and the abandoned logging town of Elliott's Ridge seems the perfect fit.

Carter is determined to show Amanda his heart but when she goes missing even a family of ex-military men may not be enough to save Amanda.

I received an ARC and voluntarily offer this review.

Building Trust and Love

Rebuilding Elliott Ridge, an abandoned company town, are five adult brothers who grew up there when it was a bustling Montana lumber town. It is their family legacy. Carter Elliott is the youngest of the five siblings and determined to resurrect his home town. This book reflects the importance of family, community and love. It also reflects how trust is integral to all those things. The first test to creating their town is the appearance of Amanda Stakewell, Carter's immediately attracted to her and proceeds to insure she'll be part of Elliott Ridge, and his life. She's running from her own demons. Amanda immediately recognizes the honesty, loyalty and safety the ex- SEAL represents. The story proceeds with conflict in the form of a greedy neighbor and Amanda's family history coming home to roost. But the trust and love between the brothers makes this story fresh and redeeming. The love and trust Carter and Amanda build are classic. Beautiful start to a captivating Cora Seton series.

Great intro to a new Chance Creek series

Amanda is running away from a bad man, when she steps into the airport at Chance Creek. There she meets the whole Elliott crew who are there to pick up the last brother to return. Carter takes one look atand falls hard. Now if he can just convince her to come to Elliott Ridge and help revitalize it. It sounds like a super out-of-the-way place to hide so she is all in. Fortunately, she falls for both the development and the former Navy SEAL! But love is never easy when you are hiding things, and Amber is hiding a doozy. Will they survive to find their HEA and bring Elliott Ridge back to life as well? Read this to see!

The pace is fast and the tone is uncertain yet hopeful with a character oriented storyline that has some action and some steamy scenes. The characters are vibrant and kickass. You don't have to have read any other Chance Creek series to get fully into this one. However, you may want to after reading this! Enjoy!

Amanda and Carter

Another Chance Creek Story! This time with the 5 Elliot brothers! New series! Amanda is on the run. She had to leave everything behind because of a crime her father was involved in. Now she needs a place to call home. A place no one can find her. She randomly chooses Chance Creek after changing planes a few times and is very glad she did! Carter watch this striking woman get off the plane and he just KNEW she was the one for him! He is struggling to bring his ghost town back to life so he offers Amanda a house for a dollar. Knowing he needs to attract people to his little town he figures he’ll start with her. But can he over look her secret she’s hiding that she ran away from? Amanda is afraid she has brought trouble to Carters door, But can he help her so they can have the life they both want together? I loved this book and can’t wait to read the next one!

Elliot Ridge Rocks! Carter & Amanda’s Story.

Absolutely loved this new family, Elliot. The brothers have returned after 12 years away in the military to restore their heritage. Working to meet the deadline that they have a balloon payment due they take on the challenge with Blake Warrington offering a large payment if they will sell to him immediately. His offer has been rebuffed several times and battle lines have been drawn. Blake wants the property because he has a very large development on the other side of the ridge and he is not interested in a NO.
The boys are back for good and failure is not an option. They are doing it for themselves and their parents.
The story just flows across the pages and she has written it so you just feel as you are there! An excellent read and can’t wait for future books on the Elliot’s.

When I received this book I thought it was going to be a continuation of the novella. It isn’t. That threw me off at first. It took a mental shift. But once I started reading I was able to connect to these characters.

Carter falls in love at first sight. But Amanda is wary with good cause. She has well-earned trust issues to overcome. It’s enjoyable to read how they overcome obstacles to find their way to each other.

There are a couple reasons I didn’t give five stars. The first is that I didn’t feel there was enough background on Carter’s time in the military. The second was how quickly a resolution was achieved. I would have liked more development of those two areas.

I’m still excited about this series and can see where readers will get to learn more through the subsequent books.

House for Sale Navy SEAL Included by C. Seton is the first stand-alone in the new Elliotts of Chance Creek Series.
Carter Elliott and his four brothers are back in Elliotts Ridge for good. All of them joyned the forces but returned to revive the family's legacy. Rebuild the business and the town.
Amanda is a good woman who's out of luck. Trouble is following her and she's kind of on the run. And there's no better place to hide than rural Montana. Throw a hot ex-military man in the loop, yay sign me up. Carter is a good man, just like Amanda is a good female character.
I just loved their story that gave me all the feels. And there's a peak in the brothers lives that makes me want to read their stories too.

This is the first book in a new series by Cora Seton and while it is set in the same town of many her other series, the premise is entirely different. On the outskirts of Chance Creek is Ellliott Ridge, a large plot of land that has been in the Elliott family for generations. But now it is up to Carter and his brothers to save the land by getting new people to move onto the ridge or lose it to a wealthy developer. While the insta-love romance trope might not be for everyone, the romance between Carter and Amanda along with a touch of suspense made for a great introduction to the new series. With the fun cast of characters, I'm definitely looking forward to the next books in the series as well as hopefully an appearance from some Chance Creek regulars.

Same song, different verse

The first series I read by this author was the Heroes of Chance Creek. Brothers, all former military from different branches, working together to save the family property. I've also read the SEALs of Chance Creek, a group of former Navy SEALs, working together to earn a big piece of property and build a sustainable community. I tried to read the Brides of Chance Creek, a group of former military guys from all different branches, being sent to win over a daughter of a control freak military father. And now, the Elliiots of Chance Creek, a group of brothers, all former military, working together to save the family business and property. Wash, rinse, repeat.

Just loved this start of a new series, in all honesty when I finished it I'd forgotten it was new and tried to search for the rest of the series I was 100% invested.
This series introduces the Elliot family who live close to Chance Creek so we delightfully get to meet some characters from Ms Seton's previous series. This series it set in a town their family set up but fell on hard times, I'm saying no more so as to not spoil it for you.
Really believable characters, typical interplay between brothers and a shared vision of a goal.
Can't wait for more in the series t learn more about the characters and how the main storyline will play out

Brand new series with a brand-new old town up and coming! Elliott Ridge is just a short drive from Chance Creek. Don't be surprised when old friends start popping up.
Five brothers all in different branches of the military get an ultimatum from their father to either sell or make a go of Elliott Ridge and they have just about a year to open it back up or lose it.
Amanda is running and needs a quiet place to hide out for a while.
When Carter sees Amanda for the first time it is love at first site. From that point on it is not stop!
Great first story for Elliott Ridge and Can't wait to see the entire town develop from Yesteryears!

Wonderful new series

Elliotts of Chance Creek is a new series and I'm looking forward to each of the brothers books. Apparently, the Elliott men know at first sight when they meet the woman they're going to marry. For Chance, it's Amanda. She's on the run and decides that staying in the town that the Elliotts are trying to resurrect will be perfect. But she ends up bringing danger. Will Chance be able to keep her safe even though she hasn't been completely truthful with him? This book has romance and some danger all in one place. I read the preview for the next book and it sounds good, too.

More of a 3.5* than a 4* .
I have read many of Cora Seton books and really enjoyed them. This one I didn't feel was as good as it could have been. I just felt something was lacking.
I didn't really warm to the main characters. Carter did not measure up to my idea of a ex-navy seal. He just came across as young and a little nieve, rather than someone who had been in the military for 12 years and seen horrific things.
It was a pleasant read. Not much action and when there was, it was over quickly.
However, it was setting the scene for future books and I'm looking forward to those.

The Elliot brothers are trying to revive their father’s legacy near Chance Creek. They plan to revive the mill and the small “town” that kept it going before. Carter has one of the houses and decides to sell it for a dollar to bring women back to their town. Amanda agrees to buy Carter’s house, and the fun begins. This is a small-town romance with good guys and bad guys, honor and heat. Visit Elliot Ridge and see the town come alive. Author Cora Seton has set the stage well for this series. The characters have depth, the scenery is beautiful, and the story will keep you turning pages.

Cora Seton brings to life another small town, this time a town that had been abandoned by the family whose name it bears, Elliott Ridge. There is some similarity to the Halls concept, but this time the stakes are their town and effectively refounding it. This is Carter Elliott’s story, and his potential HEA starts with an airport encounter with Amanda. Cora Seton has a knack for world building, and the reader becomes invested in each of the worlds she creates. This story has heat, danger, and potential for more great family romances, and I wouldn’t hesitate to start the series.

Amanda is on the run after finding a painting her father had stolen while staying in her apartment. He had gotten in trouble before for forging another painting and his partner got caught switching it for the real one. Thinking his ex partner is after her she flees with the painting hoping to return it with out getting caught. When she arrives in Chance Creek airport she meets Carter Elliot who is there to meet one of his brothers returning home to help save the family home. He takes one look at her and just knows she is the one for him.

House for Sale Navy Seal Included

Another great story by Cora! Glad to meet the Elliott family. Usually the stories start with the oldest and work their way down to the youngest but Cora actually started with the youngest brother first. It is interesting to see how the brothers get along and how they take to Amanda. As always the exciting part appears at the end of the story. I love how Cora gets us excited with the next book! FANTASTIC job Cora! I would recommend this book! Can't wait for the next book!

House for Sale Navy SEAL Included

This is going to be a fun series. Five brothers return "home" to resurrect the family town that was generations old. All brothers have been in various branches of the military for 12 years and are now back working together to save the town.
Carter saw Amanda at the airport and convinced her to come buy a house for $1.00. There is at least one villain trying to buy the land out from under them, one or more following Amanda and of course Carter wants to make Amanda his for a lifetime.

great new addition to Chance Creek.

Carter and Amanda have a love at first sight connection. I really enjoyed the new addition to Chance Creek and the little bit of mystery involved. I didn’t like the secrets but they served a purpose in the storyline. The characters were believable and I love the way they are fighting to bring their home back to life. This is a hot sexy book, not a clean read. Know your author and you know what you’re getting in the book. Really enjoyed the book and I look forward to the next one.

Ahhhh….Lovely

I haven’t read a Cora Seton book in ages, which is a big mistake as I love her books. This one is great. An insta-love wrapped in small town, family and community. The two families, Amanda’s and Carter’s, are complete opposites. Even though they both have painful and difficult pasts, one family is loving, the other very much not.
As our main characters work through challenges and dangers, their relationship is a joy to read.
Utterly heartwarming and engaging.
Highly recommended.

I enjoyed the first book in this new series. Carter, along with his brothers are trying to revitalize their town. Amanda is on the run and needs to find a place to lie low. This book contains a little bit of everything needed for a great read. There is danger, romance, steamy scenes and great interaction between the brothers. I look forward to reading the next in this series. I would recommend this book.I was given an arc but this is my honest review.
