Moving from Ireland was something that needed to be done. The change I needed, to keep my inner wall up. Now it was time to fix myself and find a new path. But when a dark-haired pixie came knocking, I had to fight to keep that wall up.
Nothing is ever simple in life, we all know that. We can see what we want and hope that nothing forces us to change directions, but we know that can happen.
Her soul calls out to me and I hate it. I push her away, my mind isn’t ready to move forward. Yet.... she could erase my past. So could the new journey we are both facing.
I hated Lee for most of the book and didn’t feel he redeemed himself at all. For the life of me I just don’t understand how Juliet could fall for this guy. All I saw was a womanizing verbally abusive drunk. I made it to 75% but when he just stands there and let’s a woman say awful things to Juliet, I was done. I skimmed to the end. The 2 stars are for Juliet because I never doubted her love for Lee. Why she loved him is beyond me but she did. Lee was also a liar
“I haven’t slept with anyone in a year, baby. It was all a show, to pis* you off. To keep making you hate me, but I couldn’t go through with anything se*ual because all I thought of was you.”
LIE! The very first chapter in his pov he pulls a blonde off of him that was giving him a bj. And this was after he slept with Juliet. Maybe my idea of se*ual encounters are different from the authors 🤷♀️
So does Juliet have to be friends with his ex kinky f buddy Simone? Or the woman that kissed him? These are women he is supposedly friends with. Never really said if poor Juliet will have to tolerate them being in Lees life.
He seemed to show more respect to every ow in his life but her so yeah…. I don’t believe in their hea. I would have preferred Juliet finding a different man and Lee never finding happiness 😂.
This story was super hard to review because of Lee, as he was a horrible human being. I can get past a lot of things if the MMC actually changes in enough time, and Lee did not do so before I had written him off. In my eyes Lee was emotionally abusive towards Jules, and frankly there comes a time when a FMC can no longer keep forgiving his actions before I see the heroine as a doormat which always sets me off big time. Honestly, she was way too good for him, but I guess the heart wants what the heart wants (not mine because he would have been missing limbs at some point) but you get what I'm saying. I will keep reading this author though because I did finish it which is a testament to her talent. Please remember this is only my opinion so I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you decide for yourselves! {3.5 STARS}
This is a good second book in this series but not my favorite. Lee and Jules’s story is emotional and heartbreaking. Jules has been crushing on Lee for years but he’s a butt. He continually pushes her away and is verbally and emotionally abusive to her. His ex really did a number on him and he can’t seem to get past it. I didn’t think he was redeemable with his awful treatment of sweetheart Jules. When he finally realizes he needs to change his ways will it be too late? I think Jules is too good for him but there’s not accounting for love and hers is big and unrelenting. This is an interesting story that’s filled with angst, emotions and secrets. I look forward to more of this intriguing series. 3.5 stars
First saw them in Zeb story. I have not ever seen such a scum H, so i has to skim and see where their story goes. This h is #1 doormat
Like H f around 2 years, OW in h-s face , she hears them having oral, he has her picking up his clothing from OW-s, gives her earrings and says to give to OW (who left it as his place the night before). Like H goes out of his way to hurt h for no other reason, that he is afraid of his feelings. and h still pines away for him. H has sex with h. Tells her it is major mistake and has BJs with Ow-s like next day/week, so h hears. h STILL pines away for him and is preggo now .. STD check girl!!!! Like she has seen and heard him with countless of OWs and she uses no condom..
Over the past two years, me and Lee have been like oil and water. He will push and I’ll push harder until he takes it a step further, and the pain is too much, so I leave it be and push him from my mind. The thing with Lee Price is that he is a stubborn Irishman. He doesn’t like to lose and isn’t afraid to make a scene, while I hate confrontation. The shitty things he has done to keep me away from him, is beyond comprehension at times. He leaves items behind the desk so his conquest from the night before can come and pick it up. He has even kissed girls in front of me and looked me in the eye while doing it, knowing how I feel about him. Why didn’t I leave, you ask? Well, I love working for Rugged Ink. When Ida called me and told me about the job, I jumped at the chance. They saved me. I needed an out and this was it, so I took it with both hands and jumped on the train.
Some might think that Juliet is a doormat or weak, but she is far from it. When she believes in something, she gives it her all, even if that something isn’t wanted yet. And let me put this out there now, no woman should be described as a fucking ‘doormat’ or ‘weak’ because they are not and never will be. A woman has her own reason for doing what she does. It is her choice to live her life the way she does. If and when she needs help, people should step in to help her, not drag her down and make her feel worse than she is already thinking.
“What? Like you did, you mean? You fucked anything that moved until Ranger came along, so don’t spout that shit at me, brother. I will settle down when the right girl comes along. Until then, I will fuck whoever the hell I want.”
“She doesn’t rub it in your face, man. You’re a fucking cunt when it comes to throwing it in her face that she isn’t the woman for you, yet you know how she feels,” Zeb snaps at me, his anger showing in his dark eyes. “Not only that, but she also doesn’t sleep around like you do, Lee, so you can take that shit back,” Ranger adds on. “Not every woman out there is like the skanks you sleep with.” This time, she looks to my client, who gets to her feet.
Do I regret fucking Juliet? No, because it was the best sex ever. Do I regret saying the things I did to her? Hell motherfucking yes. It was the worst I had ever spoken to a woman before, and let me tell you, if my brother or my parents find out what I said, they would gut me like a pig.
Then, the day Lee Price walked into the studio, my heart leapt for joy, but it was soon crushed when we all went out to celebrate the opening of the shop. It was Jase, Ida and Slade, with Zeb, Lee and me. Zeb flirted like he was on fire, and Lee kept looking at me. I moved over to talk to him, and we chatted about him moving here from Ireland, and about his brother, Rookie. It was nice, and I knew I would fall hard and fast for him, but over the coming weeks he became distant, then he completely flipped the switch and started being a dick to me, pushing and pushing. Throwing girls in my face, letting me know he was happy to fuck anything that moved. When I confronted him, he laughed in my face and told me he wanted to fuck, and I was the type of girl who wanted commitment. He saw that I was falling for him, and he needed me to see him for the man he truly was.

This is a hard review for me. I love the author and the other books in the series, but for me lee was unredeemable. There's only so much That can happen and be forgiven, let alone over and over and over and over again. I really wanted juliette to find someone else And move on. His excuses for his behavior weren't good enough
If you like an asshole, body betrayal syndrome and rolling your eyes, read on. Check out my highlights with my notes for the problems I had with this book.
1. Hero is an ass for two years bc had his heart broke previously. 2. h gets pregnant after one night stand with H 3. He’s a jerk, then they have a heart to heart and get together. 4. All is good for awhile. 5. Out of nowhere he becomes an ass again, flirts with a previous hookup in front of h, let’s her call her fat and doesn’t defend her. 6. h grows a backbone for a whole 5 weeks until H literally says “But in all seriousness, I know I have a lot to make up for and I hope that you will give me another chance for that. I know that what happened that day was fucked up. That is all on me, I admit that.”. That’s it. That’s all we get from that horrible scene where he treats his baby mama like shit AGAIN for no reason. Then she smells his cologne, moans and forgives him. Sigh.
I don’t like either of the main characters here. I’m giving two stars for the side characters, who were the bomb.

the main trope of this book is he was bullying her because secretly he was so scared he would fall for her. But one plot line I just don’t understand (not just in this book but her other other books too) is why the author doesn’t equate oral sex to actually being with someone? The author doubles down on this and has the male character mention several times during the book how he hasn’t been with someone for a year. Yet he has had blowjobs? Umm hello??? That is being with someone??? Any sexual activity is “being with someone”. Actual penetrative sex isn’t the only definition of “being with someone”………… and several plot lines were just dropped. What happened with the ex that was walking by the shop window several times at the end? That wasn’t resolved that I could remember? And why wasn’t it explained that after they were finally together and some blonde bimbo was extremely rude to main female character in tattoo shop calling her basically a fat whale blah blah and he just stood there with head down and didn’t defend her. Which led (rightfully so) to a temporary breakup but even his POV didn’t explain the reasoning behind why he allowed his baby mama to be disrespected in their place of business in front of their friends????? She stood up for herself and he called her jealous? This dude was unredeemable to the end. The author wrote him that way. Constant women coming on to him right in front of his baby mama throughout entire book, allowing another woman family friend to kiss him when he admitted afterwards to his brother she had come on to him a couple times before, and let’s not forget in the beginning when he found out she was pregnant and he literally Ubered away from the hospital where she was getting checked out. Not to mention the TWO years he bullied her and flaunted women in her face even hooking up in closets at the tattoo studio knowing her feelings full well. I rated a Three because I read it acc finished it but honestly I don’t recommend anyone to read this. Even if your into bully/cheat/baby mama whatever tropes the main male character should be redeemed by the end but in this book he isn’t, he is just as despicable when they are together. Several examples given in different situations how this just isn’t going to be a relationship that stays together. He’ll cheat, I mean the author doesn’t think blow jobs mean anything anyways? 🙄 I read several of her books and refer every one of them. I’m in a kindle unlimited dry spell from having read over 2000 in pats two years and not many left to read and I was very bored to read her books today. Another review in prior book was also correct. ALL her books are written with UK slang even though set in Florida etc. in this book she gave excuse main and secondary characters were from Ireland. No, ALL her characters in her books used UK terms!!! Set the book in Europe if you want to use those terms. People born and raised in Florida don’t use terms like porkies, groover etc. And she doesn’t write with any real idea of what a MC club should sound like. Won’t read another of hers even if I’m desperate again!
First things first; I like the cover of this book! Lee is the second book in the ‘’rugged ink’’ series. This story is short, mixed paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Juliet has been in love with her co-worker for years. Lee loves Juliet but he refuses to make a move or acknowledge it. For two years he has pushed Juliet away. Will that change when he learns her secret? The chemistry between Lee and Juliet is clear to see and I liked them together. I liked the build up to them getting together. That being said, I hated the way Lee continuously hurt Juliet. My heart ached for Juliet. I loved that everyone was there for Juliet. I liked that Rookie `(from the rugged skulls series) was in this story. I liked that he stood by Juliet. I hated Quentin! I wanted to kick him! I liked the ending and the epilogue for this story. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I look forward to more books from this series.
I was looking forward to this story…and I’ve read many with similar themes that are so good…but this story was NOT one of them.
If you want to read a story about a Total tosser for a Hero and a pathetic doormat heroine - look no further.
The heroine in love with a lameo who throws it in face he’s a manwhore despite knowing how she feels. They have a ONS and she ends up pregnant 😮 she tries to keep together for the baby sake so he might one day be involved with the baby which is great…if she actually left his ass (not just partially ignored him for 5weeks 😴)and sorted herself out so they BOTH (her and the baby) can have some kind of normal healthy life but nope…she continues down this path of no self respect making wonder if the author hates females. Though Hero is a tosser by chapter 4 I didn’t really care about Juliet either. I really struggled with the portrayal of Juliet…he is the father of my baby excuses blah blah got old real fast.
I agree with another reviewer that this is a hard review to write. I was so looking forward to this story. I knew it would be an angsty one. But my my gosh, Lee’s actions in the first 40-50% of the book were just irredeemable. SPOILERS AHEAD….
For two years Lee pushes Jules away in the most brutal way possible all because his ex scorned him. He’s emotionally and verbally abusive towards her. He sleeps with countless women and rubs it in her face every chance he gets. He punishes Jules for what his ex did and it just disgusted me.
But what made it even worse was even with all that abuse, Jules still pines for him and I couldn’t stand it. A lot happens in this book which forces Lee to do some soul searching, but I could never get past how horrible he was to her— and all because of an ex.
I got to finally meet Lee and Juliet in Zeb’s story. But I hated Lee instantly. He treated Juliet like crap for no reason. I understood that he had a past and was hurt, but in my mind that did not make it ok for him to treat her the way he did. But like all the woman in the Rugged Skulls family, Juliet fell for the alpha ahole. It was through her eyes that I fell for him too. He needed to work out his issues, but when he did, I was a great man. As in all the Rugged Skull books, there was the added bonus of danger. This time the danger came in the form of Juliet’s abuse ex showing back up and demanding money from her. I don’t know how Amy Davies does it, but she makes me fall for each of these men. No matter how shitty they may act towards their women at first. Time to read Royal’s story!!
This is the second book in this intriguing series and is Lee and Juliette’s story. Juliette pines for Lee even though he has treated her abundantly for the past couple of years-, as he continually pushes her away and is verbally and emotionally abusive with her, making her a target due to his past with an ex. It comes to a point where Lee must do some soul searching and redeem himself. This is a good story which is filled with angst, tension, emotions, and is an entertaining page turner, but this is not an easy read by any means. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I recommend.
The relationship between the main characters was a roller coaster ride. The H was a player because he was hurt in the past and could never trust a woman again. However he had his heart set on the h after they first meet. He did everything he could to keep her away from being a d*ck to making her jealous. Eventually, he realizes that he does not want to be without her but it takes awhile before he gets his head on straight. Poor h is put through the wringer but they get their HEA. Great story and I enjoyed it!
Awesomeness as usual from Amy Davies. L. Holy crap!! What a read!! I knew from the previous book (Zeb) that this would not be an easy read. ee and Juliet have been sparing for years but Lee always pusehes her away because of his own demons Tension, the push and pull between Lee and Juliet and let's face it, Lee did an awful lot of pushing. Verbally and emotionally! And there were so many times I had to put my kindle down because I wanted to throw the fecking thing!!!
Lee and Juliet have been skirting around each other until one night of tragedy brings them together. Then Lee goes back to his bonehead, stubborn ways.
Juliet has a secret he's been keeping. That one night they shared left a surprise. When Lee finally finds out he freaks out.
A lot goes on before these two end up together. Lee just deserved a good smack on the head, preferably with a frying pan!
This book was pretty ok. It definitely wasn’t a top ten but it was good. I didn’t like how Lee treats Juliette and I didn’t like how she kept after him. I guess that’s my main reason I just didn’t get into the book. It is only one book of this series so I’m definitely wanting to read more because the writing itself is great & I won’t judge everything off one book. I know he changes but I just didn’t feel a connection with him or her.
This is another fantastic entry into the extended Rugged world. Fair warning: you will not like Lee for 90% of the book. You’ll want to smack him and put him in timeout. He is not likable throughout most of the read. Juliet is way too good for him. And once he pulls his head out of his bum-he fully acknowledges that point. Great storyline and the HEA is so sweet. Can’t wait for the next one!
I thought I wouldn't like it because of some of the reviews!! Why I am a big fan of reading reviews but I also like to be my own judge or a book! Love her other books!! Fell for these two in Send story!! Yes Lee was a big dick!! He had reasons but he worked to earn her trust but it was not easy!!! He let shot get in the way! But in the end you can see her loved her and she him!!!
This was one of the most hard stories i read this month, i wanted to slap Lee for 70% of the book, and when i thought all was finally well, he does a shitty thing near the end of their story and i wanted to throw my ereader at his head. I wanted more grovel for what he did then. 4.5 because of that.
It could have been 3 ⭐️ but at 75% when they were together he let some woman call her fat and sad. He did not stand up for her. He actually told called the woman sweetheart and told her to stay after she called her fat when she was pregnant. It was never talked about or anything. So it actually has been maybe giving it 1 ⭐️.
I think I need a break from this author. Not every random woman but the h is a plastic, skanky, stupid, shallow person...It gets annoying reading them described that way after awhile🙄
My emotions were all over the place reading Lee and Juliet's story and by the end I was smiling with happy tears running down my face. These two went through the wringer to get their happily ever after and I loved going on this ride with them.
This book was more emotional for me than other Any Davies books. She shows the antagonism well and the together well, but him groveling to get get back was a little quick. But the emotions were spot on. And I love the baby name.
He had a one night stand with Jules who works at Rugged Ink. And now pregnant ANF Lee is running scard. Can he change his way and claim his women and baby.
Es 2.5, no es una buena historia pero tampoco es mala. El H es muy idiota y dañino pero me gustó más el libro que el primero que era demasiado absurdo.
Holy crap!! What a read!! I knew from the previous book (Zeb) that this would not be an easy read. Tension, the push and pull between Lee and Juliet and let's face it, Lee did an awful lot of pushing. Verbally and emotionally! And there were so many times I had to put my kindle down because I wanted to throw the fecking thing!!! Sweet Jesus! My heart has been pulled apart but what a read!
