What to say about Khalil Gibran's writing, except, Phenomenal!!! That poetic writing itself and the context, altogether created a remarkable piece of literature!! Piece of heed upon!

There are words and sentences containing all the truth and hit you right at the spot. It all resonates with you with all clarity. Such an intelligent writing in a short frame of work.

It does get over elaborated, but doesn't get tedious.

A book of 3 stories of different narratives explaining oppression and liberty in the most rightful way, and it all relates to this time as well its own way.

"Radical" in it's condemnation of oppressors, laic and ecclesiastical. The high flying tone of a polemic is somewhat off-putting, but it's pure Gibran. Also, as this is a translation from the Arabic and I don't speak Arabic, I wonder how the purple prose of the English compares to the style of the Arabic. The man's not wrong in his condemnation of the hypocritical rich and powerful and the book is quite relevant and timely even as the style feels archaic.
