Science fiction and classic crime novels have long been favorites of author K.C. Sivils. A fan of past noir masters such as Dashiell Hammett and Raymond Chandler, Sivils also enjoys the current generation of storytellers like Matt Abraham, Renee Pawlish and Alex P. Berg.

The combination of film noir and science fiction in director Ridley Scott’s adaptation of Philip K. Dick’s sci-fi classic Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep into the masterful Harrison Ford vehicle Blade Runner encouraged him to consume as much of both genre’s as possible.

When not working at his real job, Sivils enjoys his family, his dogs, writing and rocking out to classic rock bands like the Rolling Stones, New Wave rockers The Cars, and the Godfathers of Punk, the Ramones.

it's 500 years in the future, and the galaxy is becoming much more heavily populated. But no matter what planet you are on, crime is still rampant. Inspector Thomas Sullivan - Sully to his few friends, does his best to stay ahead of organized crime and political corruption. But it's raining all over Capital City, everyone is whining about the cold, Sully's daughter's mother is on her way to Beta Prime, Father Nathan is acting weird, and Sully's partner Sarah is missing, her clone sister Maria is dead, and her sister Ellie is in the slammer. And that's the good news.

I love Sivil's SciFi Crime Noir. This is prequel book 8 of this series, but all these books can be read independently. Taken together, they are a binge read to keep you up nights.

Some Rain Must Fall - a review by Rosemary Kenny.

Inspector Thomas 'Sully' Sullivan's clone girlfriend Sarah's sister Ellie, has created murder and mayhem at the prison facility she's being held at. She blames Sully and Sarah for her incarceration - and now she's free!
Elsewhere in Beta Prime's Capital City, Joe's Place, the so-called 'neutral ground' has been trashed, for refusing to pay protection to gangster 'King' Leopold Jacobs - Inspector of Police, while Joe himself and three of his staff have been badly beaten and hospitalised.

With Chief Markeson's explicit blessing Sully increases security on Joe's Place, in preparation for when the blackmailers return. Meanwhile Sarah hunts down Ellie, who's on a crime spree.
What happens during their showdown?
How does Sully tell the difference between the cloned sisters, when it really matters?

K.C. Sivils really gets into the subtle nuances of lives and loves of the individual characters and makes you care about what happens to them, whether in good times or bad. Some Rain Must Fall, refers here to not only the change in Beta Prime's weather, but also the metaphorical rain that falls into Sarah, Sully and their friends' lives when an evil-intentioned megalomaniac arrives on the normally snow and ice-covered planet.

Don't miss this amazing, riveting, futuristic noir crime-thriller - it's another 5-star Sully winner for sure, so get it today!

Crime Is Flourishing In Beta Prime

Sarah’s sister is causing trouble, Sully’s daughter’s mother (it’s complicated) is causing trouble, the new Inspector of Police is causing trouble, Joe’s place is trashed, and people are fleeing Beta Prime. What’s behind the mayhem? Where is Sarah? Sully’s having a difficult time coping with all the changes and it looks like it’s not going to get better soon.

K.C. Sivils has penned one of the most complex plots of this series. It had me turning pages when I should be doing other things, but I just couldn’t stop reading. There are stories within the story, main characters getting hurt, deceptions galore, and a woman trying to trick Sully into marriage. You really must read this one.

It’s hard to believe I started reading this series eight books ago. Fantastic SciFi noir
detective books. The characters have evolved but the action, plot and characters
never let you down. Thanks to the author for hours of reading pleasure!
Sully and Sarah have gone through a lot of changes from rogue Inspector and
outlaw clone to sharing a detective agency and a budding relationship.
However thing on Beta Prime are about to change. A new criminal organization is
trying to take over and a lot of people are going to get hurt in the process.
Can Sully find out who is behind this before it’s too late?

Clean suspense

I have enjoyed reading each of the stories in the "Sully" saga. I especially enjoyed the fact that each story has no crude language nor any sexually explicit scenes. The stories are about a police inspector who is tough with a good heart on a world gar in the future.
I look forward to readingore by this author.

Inspector Sullivan (Sully ) has his hands full with the cliones Sarah and Ellie. Also other friends have been injured have been injured which appears to be an outer world plot. for a takeover. The problem is that Sully's ex who is the Aliance governor wants tomove upand promises to marry Sully or she will be killed. The question of course, is what Sully thinks about this.

Sarah and Sully are back! The author has totally kept them in character, so this read is totally kick-ass. The reader learns more about Sully's family, but real and close friends. We also learn more about the ice ball they live in. It's a tough world out there. One never knows who the next enemy is. Frustrating after getting things settled down.

You'd think after this many books, the author would have learned that "discreet" and "discrete" are entirely different words. Pro tip: you're spelling it wrong every time. Go through all the manuscripts and change it to DISCREET. Meaning, being careful, quiet, and so forth. HTH.
