A Christmas Pair: A Christmas Novella

Rate this book

Zeus and Merce are on a collision course for disaster. Even though she hasn’t quite figured out how to leave Zeus, she refuses to accept or trust anyone. Intent on living life by her terms, her actions send Zeus and the entire Olympian team into a downward spiral.

Unable to explain why such a contrary woman has hooked him so deeply in a short amount of time, Zeus realizes his silence makes him complicit in Merce’s wild schemes. With the splintered team on the run from bounty hunters and his life on the line, Zeus and Merce have decisions to make.

A Christmas Pair celebrates the miracle of the Christmas season with inputs from our La Patron, Jasmine, Amynta and Barticus, Thomas and Chimera.

I live in the southeast and enjoy reading and writing all things paranormal. Nothing is more relaxing than cracking open a new adventure in a new world.

I love paranormal tales and characters in general and shifter stories in particular. Throw in the romantic element, strong Alpha characters who bend beneath the power of love and I’m over the moon. Sighs…

Love La Patron and friends

I always enjoy a La Patron Christmas story! This one is now added to my list of favorites. The only thing is I wish it were longer.

I loved getting a more intimate look at the Olympians who we learn are close friends and family of the heart.

My heart broke for all that Merce endured in her past and her being separated from her brother Thomas. I hope that Merce and Thomas are able to reunite as brother and sister again.

Merce and Zeus make a great pair. Hopefully, there will be more of the team to find their “Pair” too. I love the possibility of them working with the European Pack. So many possibilities!

I hope that now that the author has me liking the Olympians that they start working with Pack and the Chimera’s instead of against them. I look forward to future books!

She was unredeemable

Or so they thought. Merce was fading, her brain was damaged and she was scared. She refused to totally pair or mate with Zeus and he had no control or influence over her. When she was arrested for murder in exchange for military chemical serums that were used on soldiers, Amynta didn't think she was redeemable and asked for help before condemning she and Zeus to death. After Merce's mind was scanned revealed the reasons for her uncontrolled behavior. In her deep sleep, she was able to fully complete the pairing with Zeus and get forgiveness from her team.

This was an interesting story showing with the care of others, the real reason for their actions can be revealed. And with more effort, those reasons can be healed.

Merce and Zeus

They are a pair! Like mates and she doesn't want that! Her brain was damaged when she was taken and Experimented on in the castle. She is really strange...the team doesn't want her to work with them but because of Zeus they try! She finds out that those that were given shots in the castle eventually Start to "fade" just like dying! Doing something stupid she puts her and Zeus's life on the line with Pack!

Forgiveness

I'm happy everyone got a happy ending with this one. Although I REALLY disliked both Zeus and Merce from the beginning, but now see them in a totally different light. They aren't my favorite couple, but do have a new respect for them.

My least liked of all the books in the series. I guess it's because of whom most of the tale is focused on. Plus there are a few items which Ms. Addae seems to have forgotten she had already established in her previous works.

More. I Want More

What a delightful book. It put the Olympians in much needed human light. It was nice to hear about the other families, but making the Olympians not just assassins, just feels right. Now I need more of everyone

didn’t expect this ending

I honestly would have expected this sort to end where it did. The Olympians weren’t bad people. They just didn’t have a handle on what happened to them and what it meant for them. I really hope Merce is able to reconnect with Thomas at some point.

A Christmas Pair Indeed

What an awesome love story of no judgment. Zeus’ love did remove all the fears of Merce’ and they are both better for it. Kudos …
