My name is Raven Becca Sullivan and my life has been full of secrets and lies. Murder is nothing new to me. Seeking justice without revenge is hard for a girl, no matter how much I want to.

I am the Double Raven and I know what I must do, I just don’t know how or when I am supposed to do it. My mates are supposed to help me accomplish the task the Fates put on me.

Mates, yes as in more than one. I only thought I was your typical girl next door. I wish my mom and dad would have told me everything, but they were taken from me before anything could be revealed. I will get justice for their murders. No one will stand in my way.

Micca Michaels is a Paranormal, Why Choose author. She’s extended her writing to Contemporary once and is looking forward to writing books in more genres. She lives in the countryside of Kentucky, tucked in the woods. She has held or holds many titles and she’s proud of all of them: daughter, sister, auntie, bestie, wife, momma, author and most recently, oma.

Micca is passionate about making sure people take care of their mental health. All the lessons in her tough life have taught her some very important things, but if she was to pinpoint her favorite, it would be: “Never allow anyone to affect your mental health in any way. No one should hold that power over another, but if they do, they should feel privileged and handle it with care.”

At almost 50 years old Micca's an empty nester and has chosen to expand on her love of reading and write books of her own. Her love of sending readers on an emotional rollercoasters isn't coming to an end any time soon and neither is her dream of being named cliffhanger queen. Luckily for her readers, not all of her books end that way. Micca says she won't put herself in a genre box, but she will admit that Paranormal Why Choose is near and dear to her heart and soul. She says that she feels that's evident in her first series, The Dire Secrets Series. Oh, and Micca's name is pronounce Mee-Kah.

If you are hers, you are ours

Wow, things are getting good!! There was so much action and things going on in this book that I flew through it. I love all of Raven's guys, they are all so darn perfect. The Blackwood Dire Wolf Pack are absolute trash and I can't stand them. I am looking forward to reading the final book in this trilogy to see how Raven, Connor, Killian, Kai, Silas, Caspian and the Whitewood Pack fare in the inevitable showdown that is coming. Off to read the next one!

Dire Confessions picks up right where the first book left off, and you’re in for an action packed, drama filled story. The revelations and twist and turns in this book, will have you hooked. I loved Raven’s journey to finding her mates. They’re all unique and mesh so well with Raven. I can’t wait for the next book…

If you're looking for excitement, plot twists you won't see coming, spicy scenes to rival your deepest fantasies, to laugh, to cry, and both heartwarming and soul crushing despair, look no further. You can find it all and more right here. The world building and descriptions are excellent. Recommend 💯💯💯 a must have. Run run run don't walk! Part of a 3 book series, book 2 ramps up the drama, the intensity, and the urgency of finding out what they need to do and getting everything done before it's too late. I have never "MA'AM'd" like I did with this book lol. Absolutely love most of the characters. However.....
The entire blackwood dire wolf pack can and deserves to step on broken Legos with every step they take forever, in every life they're reincarnated into, and I hope it fackin hurts the whole time! I have never hated antagonists so much in 30 years of reading! Also also they deserve fleas they can't get rid of and itch where they can't reach to scratch themselves and I hope it someone scratching for them, it brings no relief!!!!!!!!! 🤣🤣🤣

Dire Confessions is the second book in new author Micca Michaels Dire Secrets series. The book picks up right where the first book left off with Raven meeting her newest mate and her pack trying to stop the Blackwood pack from getting their hands on Raven who is the Double Raven. She's the most powerful shifter who is meant to bring balance to the physical and spiritual worlds with her mates by her side. Too bad the Blackwood pack have heinous schemes of their own.

Raven has confidence and it shows, the way she commands respect and has taken to the new powers she's received. Then there are the visions that are guiding her, helping her figure out who she's meant to be, she holds the responsibility well and is a little more ruthless than expected. However, she is still that same sweet girl who cares for her family, friends, and mates. Raven has four mates who she connects with and loves with another on the way. The guys get along great, their common goal is to protect, love, and cherish Raven. The way they care for her is adorable and the comradery is great.

The writing could use a little touch-up, there was some repetition and some scenes felt a little off while others didn't make sense but since Micca is a new author that understandable and I took that into consideration with my rating. Other than that the story is really interesting. Raven is supposed to balance the living world and the spiritual by bonding with her mates. As for her mates, they are each unique and special in their own way and I love the magic that comes with them.

What's killing me is the Blackwood pack. The Blackwood pack can't take responsibility for their acts, everything that happens to them is their own fault yet they have the nerve to be outraged at the Whitewood pack. The worst part is that they are not what I thought they were. I got the impression that the pack was bad yes, big-mouthed, and made poor decisions I didn't realize they were evil. Some of the things they talk about doing are beyond comprehension.

There were a few surprises, some happy and some not so happy. Such as Raven completing her mating circle and finding new information concerning her new family. Then there's the information about a pack that was eliminated a while back that might not be out of the picture and it looks like Raven's best friend, Jack, might have a bigger destiny than anyone new. I have a feeling she might be getting a spin-off. There were a few other surprises, some I saw coming and others I didn't but would love to see where they go.

Dire Confessions was a good sequel to Dire Secrets, filled with family connections and mate magic, with strong and confident women who know how to take the lead. The Blackwood pack may have not won this round but they are still plotting their dirty deeds. This book ended with a huge event, I don't know where this unique story is headed or how many books are in the series but I'm interested in seeing what happens next.

Dire Confessions is Micca Michael’s second installment in her Dire Secrets series. The continues with Raven and her mates seeking out the remaining mates that she is to claim. The Blackdire Wolf pack is still a dangerous threat as they want revenge for a past loss, and a means to reclaim the magic that is fading away in their pack. Raven and her mates have a complicated path ahead of them, but they are going to have to be careful to not experience extreme loss.
Dire Confessions continues Raven’s story, but for me, the story still isn’t as engaging as it could be. Things just happen too quickly for me. Raven meets a new mate and not even thirty seconds later they are getting down and dirty. There is no conversation, no nothing. It just feels like things are being rushed for the sake of throwing as many steamy sex scenes as possible into a story. I want some build-up, some development. There is also a lot of repetition in this book. When one character after another repeats the same thing again and again it becomes overly redundant.
In the beginning of the book I had hoped that the story would flow better, but it really doesn’t. The dialogue doesn’t flow and things don’t come together like I would have hoped for this installment. Raven acts juvenile, and the men act like they are mostly in lust. I appreciate some history concerning the Blackmire pack, but it’s not enough to keep me engaged in this series.
I’m rating this book 3.5 out of 5 stars. This story/series has potential, but it needs a complete rewrite. The dialogue/conversations don’t flow and there is just too much detracting from the story – time skips, rushing romance to get to sex, etc. I won’t be continuing this series.

Dire Confessions picks up where we left off from Dire Secrets. It continues with Raven seeking her other mates to come into her power. Meanwhile, we learn more about the Blackdire pack and why they have such a firey hatred for her and what their plans are for Raven. We get to see lots of POV in the story- I count at least 15. Not only do we hear Raven and her mates, but many others in the story. Though interesting to see the story from other perspectives, I found it a bit distracting and wasn’t able to really get into the heads of the main characters. It made the story move really quickly- Raven jumped from mate to mate. They meet, they mate they move on to the next. It feels like a race against time. We’re not sure of what powers will manifest or even what that means, only that we won’t see what she is capable of until she has all her mates. There is a pregnancy story line at the end that just kind of threw me for a loop. Again, way too fast. I don’t want to give anything away, but finding out one is pregnant, and then completing the pregnancy within A DAY is a little fast- even if its explained by saying its because of her powers. I felt kind of like I had whiplash. The story has an interesting flavor to it with rare shifters, and a mix of witch and shifter thrown in. I like that the story is set in Ireland. I liked Jack, her best friend. And it sounds like there is going to be a whole set up to introduce a line for her own story as well. So all in all, it has potential, but didn’t flow for me. I give this a 3.5 for originality and setting.

Confessions are made...

If you thought Dire Secrets was good, wait until you finish Dire Confessions!

Where Dire Secrets was where most of the world-building and character and plotline introductions occurred, Dire Confessions delves more into the developing storyline. New characters appear, relationships are built, and loose threads are either woven back into the tapestry of Micca Michaels' world or severed completely.

One of the things I adored the most about this book was character development. I've previously mentioned how in Dire Secrets, the villains will still provoke your sympathies. In Dire Confessions, Micca Michaels allows their true colours to shine through, and you'll soon thirst for their blood via several rage-inducing interactions.

While there are innumerable books out there, with more being released each day, it takes someone (or something) special to be able to provoke your emotions to such a level that you'll yell out in triumph, bite your nails with worry, hurl abuse at your device/book, or go on an epic rant regarding how short-minded, idiotically stupid, and completely deserving of pain and misery the villains of the piece are. So when all of these happen in a single book, you know you've got a winner.

And yes, Jack and Tristan are still going to be firm favourites, but I think Killian's found his sh*t-stirring soulmate in Kai.

Dire Confessions is book 2 in the Dire Secrets series by Micca Michaels. It picks up from book one rather seamlessly, and without much info gap. This book does need to be read in sequential order as there are key points that are explained in one book and explored more in the other.

Raven has now met her mates and has gone about solidifying the bonds. Her harem consists of the rarest shifters to be found and they all bring something special to her. There are a few pleasant hiccups that come along the way for the group. Raven is still wanted by a rival wolf shifter pack, and they will stoop to any level to get the double raven!

To read how Raven and her men all bond together and start to form a family unit is really entertaining to see. There are some really hilarious parts that will make you laugh out loud. This book has so much packed into it and is full of ups and downs. The world-building is done very well and you can see everything laid out for you.

A very good second book to the series, I look forward to seeing what happens in the next book. We have been set up for an epic battle so it will be interesting to see what happens.

So I read Book 1 and had to go directly into Book 2 as I had to know what was going to happen and how. In this book she meets her third mate Kai who is a phoenix shifter. When they mate she gains the form of a raven. She has a blue raven as a form who is on fire. So beautiful. She meets Kai while on a dream walk which she didn't know she could do. She got this from Killian's father when he gave her his powers. At this point the Alpha of the black dire wolf pack is beyond pissed that his attempts to kidnap Raven have not worked out for him. Raven is coming into her own and learning her powers as they manifest. While flying with Kai she feels the pull to her fourth mate who is Silas and he is a Unicorn shifter. Raven is very special and she can feel what needs to be done like she being guided by an unknown force. Raven burns the Black Dire compound down when the Alpha has her bestfriend Jack kidnapped. After rescuing Jack and Finn Raven find out she is pregnant. She then goes to the beach with her mates to find her fifth mate who is Caspian and he is a Merman shifter. She is blessed with the mates she has been gifted with.

Micca Michael’s ramped this book up ten fold y’all! The action, the steam, the surprises, it all makes for one heck of a story! Raven’s journey as the Double Raven is quite something, that’s for sure. Never a dull moment for her, her mates and her family and friends. With the Blackwood Dire Pack out for blood, Raven and her men must do everything they can to protect each other.

The journey to Raven finding each of her mates was spectacular! Such unique situations Raven finds herself in with equally unique mates to match. Add in all of the magical abilities Raven gains…wow! This story completely pulled me into its clutches and wouldn’t let go (not that I wanted it to)! It was exciting, fast paced, mysterious and oh so intriguing. Twist and turns I never saw coming and utterly original storyline to boot!

I’m sitting at the edge of my seat waiting see where book 3 takes us!

A few issues but enjoyable

So this is the second book in the series and it builds on from where the first left off.

The flow of the second book is much better than in the first and while there are still some issues, it is a much more enjoyable read than book 1.

I am really enjoying the story now and am loving how you get so many different peoples views and thoughts. There are some heavy threats against the main female characters though which could be triggering for some readers so I would advise caution and to read the warnings. I am definitely curious to see how this series ends now however.

Adrenaline filled awesomeness!!💖

YOWZA!! This book had me on the edge of my seat until the very last word. I'm awed by how much was packed into this one read 😮. Oh so many reveals, HUGE shocks, prophecy, action, alpha males, sexy time, family, friends and all around amazing journey. This journey is far from over however....after that cliffy I'm desperate to see what's next for our fearless characters. They've all been through so much, but it's only made them stronger. Without a doubt a five star read, and I cannot wait to see what's next!

Raven is continuing to figure out how she can fix the rift between light and dark. She is still finding her mates and develops more into her powers.

Jack becomes more of a main character and I am excited to see what the next book holds for her and her mates (maybe a spin off series for her please?).

Book is fast paced and well written. Background on powers and traditions for packs, shifters, magic etc has a good back story and comes together nicely for a reader.

Multiple POV from both sides of light and dark.

This book is a whirlwind. So so much happens. We learn so much too. I loved this book. It gets extremely steamy!!!

Raven finds all of her mates in this book. It is crazy, how quickly it happens. It does need to happen very quick, because she is under attack. The other Dire wolves want to breed her. She needs all her mates to stop this from happening. All her mates bring something amazing to the table. They are all very rare shifters. She comes into her full power. It is a beautiful thing.

Wow what a read. This book was an awesome read that hooked me from the beginning and I had to finish it in one sitting. It moves along at a flow which is perfect for the story not too fast nor too slow. It has interesting characters that you want to know more about and you want to know what happens. The story is interesting and will keep you turning pages until the end and then you need more. This is a must read, no doubt about it.

Book 2 in Michaels series Dire Secrets. Book should be read in series order, and picks up where book 1 leaves off. A captivating read, well written, thrilling with so many OH MY moments! So much happens and our main female character Raven finds all of her mates in this book and so much more! But the adventures for Raven are far from over and the ending will have you eager for more!

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

What an amazing read yet again by Micca. This book is much needed after the cliffhanger we got in book 1. So many things are revealed in this book. The action and drama is real in this book. However I really enjoy that too. The cliffhanger in this one is very much there and makes me want book 3 was out already. They've been through a lot but it makes them stronger and I for one can't wait to see what happens next with Raven and the guys!

OMG! This is definitely a rollercoaster ride of a book! We pick right back up with the guys not really knowing where Raven is, if she has went into a dream walk most likely. We have wolves that want her for not so good reasons, her mates and ohh the ending! I can't wait to see what Micca has in store for us next!

This is book two of this series and picks up where book one left off. Raven had met her newest mate and her pack is still trying to stop the Blackwood pack from getting Raven. This book is fast paced and filled with shocks, action, romance, and plenty of steam. I was hooked from the first page until the very last and can’t wait for the next one book.

Wow this book is amazing that's allI can say. Raven has found all her mates. It does happen slowly. She needs all her mates to stop the Dire wolves to stop trying to Breed her. All her mates her rare and special and bring something to her. Her power comes to full force and boy is it something. But the ending many I will be counting the days until book 3.

In this book we see Raven and her mate circle complete. With some unexpected mates that are added in this book. Along with the many twists Raven faces, with and without her mates. Added in the steamy scenes make this book one hell of a gripping ride.
To then be thrown off the edge of a cliff with that ending. Now I need more lol.

Raven is back with her mates in Dire Confessions! There are still wolves after her, so it will take them working together to keep Raven out of their hands, and by the end, her mate circle will complete with a new mate. This was a great read and I cannot wait to find out what will happen next after that crazy ending!

This is the second book in Micca Michael's Dire Secrets series and it was not dissapointing. It picks up from where the the first book left off. It continues to follow Raven and her mates and it left on another cliffhanger. I don't want to say more so then I don't spoile for you what happens in this book.
