A Story worth reading!
Having been a band and later choir student under James Story, and having been one voice among a myriad of prayers during his Covid battle , I was eager to read this book. It did not disappoint.
Weaving together musical and scriptural references throughout, he tells stories passed down as well as his own that are filled with hope, true courage amid more than difficult circumstances, and deep convictions about life, family, faith, and the powerful place music has in our lives.
My only complaint is references to former students… more than 20 years after being in his classroom he’s still teaching by example, and I’m still learning. I’d say there’s a great many of us who are thankful to STILL be his students.

James Story was one of my classmates in the Tennesee Tech University music department. I was one of the people praying for his recovery. This book is inspirational! James find the silver lining in every dark cloud.
