Not exactly what you say to the man who makes your blood heat like a perfect mug of hot cocoa.
Then again, I’m not making great decisions lately.
First bad quit my job and hide at my family’s orchard while I get my ish together.
And since I’m jobless, I couldn’t exactly say no to working at the Christmas Tree Farm attached to the orchard. Too bad the enigmatic owner of the establishment is far too tempting to resist.
That brings us to my second bad I sort of fell into bed with my new boss.
Yep, the guy I told not to fall in love with me.
Third bad He’s not the small town tree farmer I thought he was.
Turns out he’s a billionaire tech mogul from New York City who has even more secrets than I do.

This was one of those Facebook ads that promised a small town story featuring a secret billionaire and much smut. I am the eternal optimist and keep one-clicking these despite the fact that they’re almost always kind of a bit pants.
I’m pleased to report this wasn’t pants; I mean, it wasn’t great either but it was a decent, engaging story full of festive cheer, set in a Christmas tree farm. Cue lots of fairy lights, hot chocolate and wreaths.
Although this was the first in a new series there were cameo crossovers from multiple previous series featuring characters that seemed to be related to her, or perhaps him, or even both of them. If I’m honest, it baffled me and I didn’t much care for the chaotic scenes where those characters converged into one place and started ribbing one another. I felt baffled and a bit outside of the jokes. Idk, I’m sure if I’d read the rest of these series it would all make sense.
Cute and hot as it all was, it fizzled out a bit at the end, after a big old build up, and much hand wringing over how it could possibly work, it was all a bit of an anticlimax. And I’ve no clue what the bodyguard was there for. Ah well.
Cute but not sure I’d bother with any more. Available on ku, not exactly a standalone.
Happy Acres is where you will meet new friends, revisit some old ones, and have some amazing hot cocoa while choosing the perfect Christmas Tree.
This book was such a great read, I don't know if it's because we have a Secret Billionaire Tree Farmer that leads a double life or because we have a so many familiar faces that pop up through out the story that sprinkle their own quirkiness into it. But what I do know is that this was a HOT read that will have you reaching for ice water and not the hot cocoa that everyone else is dying to get their hands on in this story.
Rachel has moved out of NYC and relocated to Turnbull, NY to stay in a small cabin and help her Aunt Laverne at the family farm while trying to recover after her life imploded. Clay is a Billionaire tech guy who loves to get away on the weekends to his Christmas Tree Farm in Upstate New York where no one knows who he is or what he does for a living other than dabble in Christmas Trees on the weekends. Together they are magnetic! Their attraction was instantaneous, as if they were magnets being drawn together. There is a bit of angst but not to much, it's like a spicy Hallmark Movie.
This was a Surprise Holiday Release but I hope we don't have to wait until Next Christmas to get another Happy Acres story.
I would recommend this to anyone that enjoys Steamy Holiday Reads, Contemporary Romances, Billionaire Romances, or Boss/Employee Romances.
Taryn Elliot and Cari Quinn launch the sparkling and charming Happy Acres series with this story of billionaire tech guy and secret tree farmer Clay Winslow and ex-event planner Rachel Doyle.
Clay loves to escape the pressures and expectations of his high profile job by tending to his Christmas tree farm in Turnbull, New York over during the winter weekends where he’s known simply as Clay.
He’s not the only one who’s hiding though. After a very public burnout, Rachel is trying to find balance in her life while staying with her aunt at their apple orchard, right next to Clay’s tree farm.
When Clay asks for help with the CocoaBus, Rachel is volunteered to do it blowing Clay’s mind by working her creative and organized mind and making the entire Christmas tree purchase into a wonderful family experience. And as the two work together, their initial holiday fling turns into more.
Oh boy, I hadn’t realized how much I missed the Happy Acres which is especially lovely during the holiday season. I really enjoyed going back to that world and getting to see old characters like Lila (Rachel’s cousin) and Nick Crandall (Lila’s uber famous rock star). Not to mention getting to know the main couple who were utterly charming.
Clay is a cocky, self-assured alpha male. He’s also thoughtful, kind and absolutely swoon worthy. Rachel’s character shines. She’s smart, sassy and didn’t hesitate to put Clay in his place. The banter between the two was incredible. It made me laugh, smile and fan myself.
Taryn Quinn have concocted a delicious holiday escape complete with a perfect winter wonderland backdrop. I can’t wait for the next book in the series.
Fiancée by Christmas: A Holiday Billionaire Romance is book #1 of the Happy Acres series by Tarn Elliot & Cari Quinn. It’s a contemporary romance told from both points of view with a happy ending. Tropes: small town | billionaire | holiday
I loved being back at Happy Acres especially during the holiday season and Taryn Quinn offers up a spectacular holiday story in Fiancée by Christmas. A woman trying to rebuild her life after it came crashing down around her months before and a man who seemingly has everything he could want, but who craves working his Christmas Tree Farm in upstate New York more than sitting in his multi-million dollar offices in NYC. A holiday fling that neither one expects to go further, but in each other they find acceptance, calmness, friendship, and so much love all during the rush of the holiday season.
Rachel came to Happy Acres to be with her aunt, uncle, and various cousins after working herself into a breakdown both mental and physical. Months later she is recovering; she’s put back on some of the weight she lost, she finds happiness in the little things like a cup of coffee on her small porch, and she enjoys working in the Happy Acres gift shop as a way to pay back her Aunt and Uncle for her room and board. When her aunt volunteers her to help set up at cocoa stand at the Christmas tree farm, little does she realize that her skills at marketing, event planning, and organization will be so well received but that she’ll be spending a lot of time with the owner from NYC, Clay.
The verbal sparring between these two was perfect, I loved that Rachel wasn’t afraid to speak or mind or mix it up with Clay when apparently she hadn’t done much of that since coming to the farm. It was like Clay lit up something inside her and helped her get her spark back. Not that she didn’t have some moments of panic, but watching her build a new business up from the ground in a short amount of time, restructure the Christmas tree farm to be more profitable, and manage so much day in and day out was a thing of beauty. It didn’t hurt that she also spent a lot of time with Clay both at work and after work. It was easy to see that Rachel had a Type A personality which also made it easy to see why she burned out, but this time she had people around to not let her get to the point. Clay saw Rachel’s value early on and he was good about telling her how much he appreciated her hard work. Rachel helped Clay to see how much the small town of Turnbull and his farm made him happy and he knew he needed to make some changes in his life including letting the woman his grandfather wanted him to marry know that wasn’t happening.
While there was a bit of drama between them, it was handled quickly and by that time they both had come to realize how much the other meant to them and moved on from it quickly which I greatly appreciated.
There were some fantastic cameos of characters from this writing duo’s other series’ which made this book even more fun and entertaining.
A busy but wonderful holiday story that I got swept up in and didn’t want to put down, I loved Fiancée by Christmas from Taryn Quinn.
Rachel was once an elite planner, but after everything went sideways, she fled to her aunt's farm, and has been there since, trying to get herself together. Then one man finds his way into her life, and she's never the same. Will her no strings holiday fling become more? Or will Clay's secret turn Rachel off permanently?
Clay is supposed to be with the right woman. He knows this, knows he can't break his grandpa's heart. So why is he falling so quickly for the sassy, stubborn woman who trespassed her way onto his tree farm and into his life?
I fell in love with Happy Acres very quickly. I already knew there was something special about this farm when I first read about it in Taryn's other series, but now that I've read the first couple's story based directly on this beautiful farm, I can't wait for more. There is something particularly charming about this holiday romance. Perhaps it's the CocoaBus, or all the trees, or maybe it's just all the characters, new and old, that I loved so much about Fiancée by Christmas. But whatever it was exactly, I just know that I'm coming back for more as soon as Ransom & Willow's story is released, Bodyguard by Night.

FIANCEE BY CHRISTMAS is the first in instalmen in Taryn Quinn’s contemporary, adult HAPPY ACRES erotic, romance series, a spin off /companion to the author’s Crescent Cove/Found In Oblivion/Lost in Oblivion series. This is billionaire tech whiz/Christmas tree farmer Clay Winslow, and former event planner Rachel Doyle’s story line. You do not have to have read the aforementioned series. Rachel is cousin Lila Crandall (Lost in Oblivion).
Told from dual first person perspectives (Rachel and Clay) FIANCEE BY CHRISTMAS follows the building romance and relationship between billionaire tech whiz/Christmas tree farmer Clay Winslow, and former event planner Rachel Doyle. Rachel Doyle’s life as an event planner imploded the day she had a panic attack, and the media were relentless and unforgiving. Working at her aunt’s ranch meant staying off the grid, taking time for herself but Rachel never expected to meet the new owner of the Christmas tree farm, a handsome man with secrets of his own. As Rachel sets a plan into motion to bring more people to the farm including a cocoa bus, Clay begins a slow seduction of the woman who is about to turn his world upside down. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Rachel and Clay, and the potential fall-out a Clay’s life back home to about to collide with his life at Happy Acres Orchard farms.
The relationship between Rachel and Clay is one of immediate attraction but Rachel is oblivious to Clay’s true identity. Clay bought the farm to escape his life in Manhattan never suspecting that Rachel was once the event planner to the elite of New York. As their relationship turns sexual, Clay must decided if Rachel is his happily ever after, or return home and marry a woman more suitable to his status. The $ex scenes are intimate, passionate and intense without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
There is a large ensemble cast of familiar secondary and supporting characters including members of the band Oblivion; Clay’s security specialist and former Special Forces solider Ransom Douglas, as well as socialite Helena Danbury, and Rachel’s sister Willow, Aunt Laverne and Uncle Fred. Ransom and Willow’s story is next in Bodybuard by Night.
FIANCEE BY CHRISTMAS is a story of family and relationships, friendships and love. The premise is engaging and heart warming; the romance is seductive and captivating; the characters are charismatic and fun.
Well...I liked this one. I could have loved it, but there was a lot going on. I felt like the story flowed for the first parts, but then the author crammed a TON into the last half and it became a little scattered and hard to keep it straight? Too much time spent on old characters from a previous series, I found myself skimming those parts. I did like that she didn't go the cliched route and have Rachel "find out" about the "fiance" and then stomp off to parts unknown. It was a little refreshing to actually have the H fess up and do the right thing. It was nice, just didn't love it. I am however, incredibly excited to read Ransom's book!!!
Loved Rachel and Clay's Christmas story by the phenomenal Taryn Quinn. Also loved that it took place on Happy Acres, and with characters from the Happy Acres World. I was so happy that Lila, Nick, plus Ian, Zoe and their children from Taryn Quinn's alter egos( Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott) Rockstar Book Series, Lost in Oblivion and Rock Revenge popped into this story.
Both Rachel and Clay have a past, can you run from it or overcome it? But both are surviving and then together something magical happens. These two are so great together and have so much chemistry and banter and just fun.
I fell in love with them as individuals as well as them together. I would totally wanna be Rachel’s bestie!
This book is told in dual POV and I love even the chapters leading up to their meeting. We see them dealing with life and even what makes them tick. So much attention to details and I love it.
Having had glimpses of Happy Acres Orchard in previous books by these authors, it was lovely to have a whole book set there and, for the holiday season, in the neighboring Christmas tree farm too. It sounds an amazing place. If only it were real, I’d be there in a flash.
As soon as Rachel and Clay set eyes on each other there’s an immediate attraction, an attraction which continues to grow to be more than just lust as their story progresses. Don’t get me wrong, there’s plenty of bedroom shenanigans and the heat and steam that these authors write so well is very much alive and well and burning between them. However, both are hiding secrets from the other and Clay’s in particular could very well have stopped their building relationship in its tracks. Although I generally like a little more angst in my stories than we see in this book, Rachel and Clay are extremely likeable characters and I was pleased that when trouble reared its ugly head, they didn’t completely loose their minds and did in fact listen to each other. Misunderstandings due to lack of communication frustrate the heck out of me as a reader and I was so glad this couple did not go down that annoying path. The same sensible approach does not, however, seem to be shared by Rachel’s sister Willow, who appears to be a real firecracker!
Something of a slow burn at first, I particularly enjoyed the last quarter of the book when it picked up the pace. As a long term reader of this writing duo, I absolutely loved the cameo appearances by some of my very favorite characters from previous books. However, don’t worry if you haven’t met them yet, they do stand as characters in their own right within the story and it won’t spoil your enjoyment of the book.
Overall, Fiancée by Christmas is a fun, low angst, feel good story, of love and friendships and family.
Truly a Christmas gift for their readers! Happy Acres is my favourite fictional place. Combine the idyllic farm with the Christmas season, festive hot drinks and cameos of some of my favourite rockstars and their families, and this book had me full of Holiday spirit!
Rachel and Clay have a lot in common - both are in Turnbull for some solace and an escape from their reality. Often in books with hidden (or semi-hidden) identity, I find myself frustrated with the lies and omissions of the characters. In this story, both characters valued their own privacy and respected each other’s. Not in a “if you show me yours, I’d have to show you mine” kind of way, but more in an “I have my reasons and I know they do too.” They shared their lives with one another naturally, over time, as it became important - and that felt gracefully handled.
Rachel is absolutely hiding at the beginning of this book. She’s had something happen in her past that has pushed her to fully disconnect and reset. The girl has a flip phone for goodness sake.
Clay is a mogul in the tech industry who escapes to his Christmas Tree Farm for a few weekends every year to decompress. When he meets Rachel, Clay starts wanting things he never allowed himself to want before, but deep down always did.
These two bring out the best in each other, and grow quickly in a short period of time thanks to the mirror they hold up for one another to look at who they are and what they want. They’re surrounded by a truly fantastic cast of characters - some old loves and some fast new favourites. The world these women have created has just expanded inward a little to truly create a home for a new favourite couple in a place I’ve loved all year! Holiday perfection!
OMG! I absolutely loved this story! Rachel worked in NYC and after having a meltdown, she escaped to her Aunt's farm, Happy Acres Orchard. She was living in a small cabin and working at the gift store. She was trying to enjoy a slower paced life and recover. But along comes Clay who's a not so silent partner in the Christmas Tree Farm at Happy Acres Orchard.
Clay is a billionaire tech guy who's the face of his family's company. Every once in a while, he needs to escape NYC and all of the demands that come with who he is. He invested in a Christmas Tree Farm and loves to visit there every November to help out. It gives him the time to recharge. Also, no one really knows much about him but he supplies much needed cash to this tree farm and he's been working on his own kinds of trees for years.
He runs into Rachel (grabbing a branch from a tree on his farm) and before you know it, her Aunt has volunteered her to take over the hot chocolate stand at the Christmas Tree Farm. Rachel is a marketing guru and this little stand has taken on a life of its own. Before you know it, the chemistry is scorching between Rachel and Clay and they decide to have fun during the holidays knowing that Clay will leave when the season is over.
Will they be able to keep it light? When they find out why both of them escape NY will they survive the fallout? This was a fantastic, fun Christmas read. And if you love, Taryn Quinn books, you'll love that there are characters from their other wonderful books making an appearance in this one too! Can't wait to read about Ransom and Willow!
Taryn Quinn's spinoff series, Happy Acres starts off with a sweet, funny, sexy story that will suck you in from the very start. If you are new to Taryn Quinn, you're going to immediately fall in love with all of these characters and will want to go back to read previous stories with some of the characters. And, if you are a long-time Cari Quinn, Taryn Elliot, and Taryn Quinn fan, you're in for a real treat because we're headed back to Turnbull and you'll see many familiar faces that will make you just a tad giddy!
Fiancee by Christmas brings us some exciting new characters and a fabulous storyline between Clay and Rachel. Take one sexy secret billionaire and mix him with a smart, strong ex-city girl and you have the makings for one hilarious and exciting couple. I loved these two and all of the sparks they gave off. Their witty banter and bickering was so much fun. Quinn created the perfect backdrop for these two to fall in love and fall hard they did.
I absolutely adored Happy Acres and the Christmas Tree Farm and don't even get me started on the CocoaBus! Ack, I want to find one of these in real life! All of the characters in Fiancee by Christmas are fabulous and I cannot wait to read Ransom's story. I'm dying to know more about this elusive man. Don't miss out on this amazing Christmas story----it's perfect for year round, not just the holidays! 5 stars
Heaps of holiday cheer with a side of emotional whiplash
This is Clay and Rachel’s story. While this is book 1 in this series, there are loads of characters from other books. Sometimes it was almost overwhelming and I couldn’t keep them straight, but it didn’t change the story. I loved the holiday themes, and the Christmas Tree Farm idea. I’m sort of torn on the rest. Overall, I loved the banter between Rachel and Clay. She was supposed to be sassy, but I often got some whiplash with the sudden emotional changes. Like I would be reading something as if it were just being snarky, but then the following lines she was clearly mad. It felt like I wasn’t always following along. It made it difficult to really connect and place myself in the scene. I also felt semi cheated that he didn’t suffer more for his dishonesty. Both women sort of just brushed off the fact that he had been dishonest with them both. Helena thought they were to be married for crying out loud. I get that everyone wound up where they should be, but Rachel was dragged through the mud publicly as the other woman, not to mention being hurt by his betrayal. I’m not saying they shouldn’t be together, but a little groveling would have been nice. I will probably read Ransom’s story because he was intriguing, but I’m wish washy on this one.
This book was sent to me by the authors for an honest review. I have read almost every book these authors have written and this is my favorite one by far. Clay and Rachel are just great. Rachel is recuperating at her aunt's place after suffering a tragedy. When she meets Clay, he is an enigma. His designer boots and jeans has her wondering what his deal is. She isn't impressed with his looks and isn't interested in knowing who he really is. Clay is intrigued with Rachel because she doesn't fall all over him. On his Christmas tree farm, he doesn't tell people who he really is because he enjoys the pace of life and how he's treated as a regular person. Rachel's aunt tells Clay that Rachel can help him set up a cocoa stand at his farm. After seeing the window display Rachel put together, Clay couldn't wait to see what she would come up with the stand. She exceeded his expectations in more ways than one. The chemistry was crazy between them but they each had their own secrets. The banter between them was great and it kept Clay on his toes. I liked the suspense as to what could have happened to Rachel in her past. I also liked how there wasn't really any foul language throughout the book. I'm really curious to read Ransom's book when it comes out.
Two people with secrets can't be good together, right? Well the Sparks fly off the pages when Clay and Rachel are within each other's view. I laughed out loud, swooned, had my heart race and just couldn't turn the pages fast enough. I adored Rachel. She is not quite hiding out on her family's farm but kinda is. Her life imploded in the worst of ways and she is physically and mentally recovering. But she's there. Her mind and her ideas are still jumping. She is a genius when it comes to marketing. I really want her hot chocolate creations. She is the perfect combination of girl next door and savvy business woman. Her huge family can be overprotective but the love they show her is stupendous. Clay it's living two lives. He is a corporate mogul during the week and most of the year but has this tree farm that is his passion. He dreams of ways to improve the Christmas tree. What he never expected was Rachel. He is so swoony when he wants to be and filthy at other times. He is the perfect combination of alpha take charge and squishy let me take care of you. I so throughly enjoyed all his sides. Taryn Quinn also incorporated many past characters in this book. They do not distract from the story but enhance it. And yes, now I want to go back and reread them all.
I always love a good Christmas story and when Taryn Quinn released this little beauty, I couldn’t wait to read it. I instantly fell in love with Rachel and Clay.
We’ve been to the Happy Acres Orchard several times in the Oblivion world and now they have their own series starting.
Rachel has retreated to her aunt’s orchard to rest after her epic meltdown. It’s what happens when a Type A personality doesn’t say “no”. Things come crashing down around you. After being diagnosed with exhaustion, Rachel’s Aunt Laverne brings her to the orchard to recover and slowly ease back into life.
Clay’s investment in the Christmas Tree farm his is pet project. His retreat from the craziness of Manhattan and his CEO duties and his grandfather’s constant push for him to marry an appropriate woman. No matter that there are no sparks.
But when he meets Rachel, there are sparks abound. But they are both hiding their true reason for being in Turnbull and neither are ready to share. Besides, this thing is just a quick seasonal fling, right? But when Aunt Laverne gets started matchmaking, there is no telling what will happen.
Loved the many cameos of our Oblivion favorites. It’s always great to catch up with the characters from that world.
Any book by the ladies that write as Taryn Quinn is a guaranteed YES for me. Making it a holiday-time read with delicious new characters, but set in a favorite familiar place with visits from beloved faces, and I'm in romance Heaven.
FIANCÉE BY CHRISTMAS is the first book in the Happy Acres series, and I am over the everlovin' moon. Charismatic and likable new characters, off-the-charts chemistry, Christmas trees, the Cocoa Bus, and Gary the cat, from the always fabulous writing duo of Taryn Quinn, made this one of my favorite reads, not just of the holiday season, but of the year. Yep, I'll be thinking of this one for a long time, and anxiously awaiting the next book, because there HAS to be a next book.
Even if this is your first book by the ladies (and, if so, why?!), get Clay's and Rachel's book. Get it, settle down with some cocoa, and read it. You will be in love, and, bonus, there are all of the backstory books to read, so it's like the gift that just keeps giving. You can thank me later... ❤️
I am a huge fan of Taryn Elliott and Cari Quinn's stories and Fiancee By Christmas was the perfect book to get you into the holiday mood! Clay and Rachel are so different, but yet so much alike. I love how they just fit. Rachel is a burnt out event planner from NYC that drove herself into a mental breakdown. Her family from Happy Acres took her in and nursed her back to health, both mentally and physically. She is now helping out at the gift shop and a new job Aunt Lavern has given her, run the Coco bus at the Christmas tree farm. Clay owns the Christmas Tree farm that he loves to escape to every weekend in upstate New York. Yes he is a billionaire running a billion dollar company, but he loves his simple life where he is just Clay, a tree farmer. He meets Rachel, a flaky chick who he just can't figure out? She is a genius at marketing and coming up with amazing ideas how to promote the farm. But why is this woman still have a flip phone? I was very surprised with Clay's character, for being a billionaire he was not snobby at all and a true romantic! Clay and Rachel's relationship really got me page turning as it was funny, sarcastic and holy hell HOT!!!!! This is an excellent book and highly recommend!!!
Rachel and Clay bring Happy Acres to life beautifully!
From page one of this book I was hooked. Clay just made me want to learn more about him and why Happy Acres and Turnbull were so vital to him. Rachel’s stay at Happy Acres also from the get go drew me in. There was just something about her that made me want to know her story.
Taryn Quinn weaves a tale of love, of finding yourself and finding your way in the one place where the people love you and can help you heal. Happy Acres Apple Orchard!
This book was a surprise, but the best surprise of all! I loved the strength in Rachel, the tenacity of Clay and the way they melded together into perfection.
Aunt Laverne is the best secondary character because she genuinely cares and helps her people. Ransom was another secondary character that I wanted to know more about.
Overall this book is fabulous. It brings me to a world I very much want to be a part of. Taryn Quinn does this for me constantly…brings me places I want to live in and characters I want to be friends with. I can’t wait for more of this series!
I was really excited when I saw this surprise book announced! I have loved the snippet's with Happy Acres ever since we first saw them in the LIO series. Not only was I in love with Rachel and her snappy comebacks right from the start, I also wanted to know exactly what happened to her. I was intrigued by her character from the beginning, and that didn't stop at any point in the book. Clay had me wanting to know exactly where his head was at-not only in regards to his work life but also his personal life. The back and forth between these two characters was, as always with these author's, phenomenal! And while these two have a definite chemistry, their relationship goes beyond that to an actual friendship. And I loved that! You throw in the cameo's of other characters from other series (LIO, Crescent Cove, among others) and there wasn't a thing about this book that I didn't love! This really was the perfect surprise holiday book!
What a charming, welcoming holiday romance with a side of steam heat. I really loved them as a couple, particularly Clay who was so gentle and understanding with Rachel’s issues. I liked it was relatively low angst, but the story had substance as both Rachel and Clay had to examine their choices around work/life balance. Clearly the authors love the Holiday Season and decorating, because there were lots of event planning and organizational details, but I really enjoyed it. They also appear to have done major research around panic attacks and the subject was treated sympathetically. For fans of other Taryn Quinn series, there were many delightful cameos ‘...hey wasn’t that whatshisname from Oblivion', and 'we live in Crescent Cove'....etc. I will read this every December to get myself into the holiday groove and get inspired to decorate. Really loved it and the rest of the stories in the series will be automatic buys.
Loved it! What was not to love. First we have a billionaire who just wants out of the city and away from his life to disappear to the upstate Christmas tree farm he bought as a tax write off. Then we have the ex-event planner who melted down and burnt out in the city and now is still trying to get her life back together with the help of her family in Happy Acres. When these two meet it is snark and chemistry and so perfect. Give Rachel a task and she takes over the Christmas tree farm and not only is her CocoaBus a hit but the farm is booming and so is their spark. "Don't fall in love with me" those words were not meant as a dare but somehow we all know what was going to happen. Add in characters from previous series who are relatives and bring their own quirkiness and this one is a hit. I cannot wait to see where this series goes. Can I just say I hope Ransom gets a story soon!
What a great Christmas read. I love reading books about Christmas at this time of year, and this one hit the spot!!! Clay and Rachel are such a wonderful couple. Clay had such a sweet and gentle way about him and his dealings with Rachel. His lover of the country and the outdoors was so amazing. Safe to say the authors love Christmas. All the great descriptions of all the decorations and fun activities along with the most AWESOME Cocoabus!!!! What fun to read about this. I felt like I was there, and I really wish I could go to this wonderful place. Having some of my other favourite characters from other Taryn Quinn books make cameos...the best!!! This book is sweet, fun, and sexy. A definite must read by these amazing authors. Ladies, so excited about book one in this fabulous new series!!! Looking forward to more!!
the story is about two people both suffering from emotional exhaustion. how they meet and help each other to recover while building a relationship is what the book is about. and the characters draw you in from almost the first page. I did get a bit frustrated in Rachaels "secret" emotional and physical exhaustion, I think the reason ought to be been less of a secret to the reader as it got a bit annoying not knowing why she was so skittish about everything. other than that, the book was VERY well written, the characters well developed, and of course, there was not nearly enough of Nick and Simon and their families. I liked Clay and Ransom and I can't wait for Ransom's book, the next in the series. I can't get enough of Turnbull and Happy Acres Ronson family. get the book, I think you'll enjoy it.
Fiancée by Christmas by Taryn Quinn is a beautiful love story set in Happy Acres Orchard. Rachel, the niece of Laverne Ronson, and Clay, a tech CEO mogul and Christmas Tree Farm owner meet while Rachel is trying to wrangle down a colossal pine tree branch, and both fall to the ground. This meeting will forever change both of their lives. This couple! Ahhh, the magic of love never fizzles in any Taryn Quinn book! They are master story weavers with just the right balance of angst with emotional moments that accent the fiery heat that combusts the pages into flames! OMG! This book is a must-read! Any story written by the Taryn Quinn author duo is worth reading! They nail each book right up to the HEA. Every. Single. Time!
Fiancée By Christmas by Taryn Quinn (the amazing writing duo of Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott) is the first in their new Happy Acres series, a lovely rural setting not too far from Crescent Cove.
Rachel Doyle and Clay Winslow meet at the Happy Acres Orchard, but neither fully reveals their backgrounds to the other. Working together on Clay’s Christmas tree farm and a holiday stand give them plenty of time and opportunity to act on their sizzling and immediate attraction.
Taryn Quinn writes a page-turning story for Clay and Rachel, and it’ll warm your heart and other parts too! Long-time fans will love the crossover appearances of Oblivion and some Crescent Cove residents; new readers will be inspired to dive into those series as well! A terrific holiday read!
