This is my first book by this author and I have to admit being drawn in from chapter one.

Evelyn’s world crashed around her when she lost her fiancé, dealing with her deep seated grief but her life changes when she finds Connor on her doorstep. Knowing if she doesn’t help him he will die she has little choice but to take him in, she’s pulled towards him in a way that she wasn’t ever expecting to feel again and when they are forced to stay together waiting out a storm she starts to look at her life now. Dealing with her past and trying to move forward will be the hardest thing of all but this was only meant to be for the weekend will she be able to get over the connection they share and will she ever see him again?

Connor is not really your average bad boy there is more to him than meets the eye, he is an ex con and on parole when he ends up stranded and needing help. Evelyn is too good for someone like him and he sees how grief stricken she is but their chemistry is something he can’t turn his back on. After an intense and passionate weekend can he trust her with the truth? And when he’s accused of a crime they both know he didn’t commit will they be able to prove his innocence?

This book is fast, engaging with intriguing characters. Connor isn’t easy to like at the beginning but as time goes on you’ll see more beneath the surface. This was a book that dealt with loss so beautifully. Fantastic read looking forward to reading more in this series.

One Wild Weekend with Connor is book 1 in the One Wild Weekend With series by Lexi Hart. I really enjoyed this book. It has intrigue, steamy romance and some quirky humor. I really liked the heroine Evelyn Jones. She is relatable and vulnerable. She’s grieving the loss of her fiancé and stuck in a depressed rut when a wounded stranger passes out near her beachfront home. As she takes care of him more questions arise about who he really is. Evelyn finds herself drawn to him. I liked Connor but I did grow weary of the “F” word being constantly used. I guess it’s a generational thing. Connor is the classic bad boy whose been misunderstood by society. “He shifts closer as I look up and find his gaze on my lips. My fingers drift downwards, accidentally grazing his skin as I pull my hand back ready to move away, but he’s quicker than I am. He gently grasps my hand and presses my fingers to his lips. A pleasant shudder travels down my spine as he pulls me closer so our thighs are touching. Thank you. You’re an angel.”
I liked Evelyn’s character. I think Hart does an amazing job of portraying someone going through deep grief. Not everyone understands it, but Hart gives Evelyn believable layers. I found myself relating to her character with ease. I do think Hart missed an opportunity with the overall plot. I won’t elaborate so I don’t give anything away. But I think Connor could have been so much more. Even still, I really enjoyed this book and am planning on reading the others in this series.

One Wild Weekend with Connor is book one is the One Wild Weekend Series by Lexi Hart. This was my first book by this author and I didn't know what to expect. I really enjoyed this book. I was intrigued when I read the blurb, and was hooked by the first chapter.

Evelyn's world is turned upside down and inside out with the arrival of Connor. After meeting on the beach, Evelyn is forced to patch Connor up or let him die on her front porch. After he is all patched up, they are both stuck in her beach-side cottage until a bad storm clears. Connor unknowingly forces Evelyn to face aspects of her past she has been hiding from. Connor drags up feelings Evelyn has not felt in three years.

I loved the characters in this book. Each character has so many different layers to them. Evelyn is vulnerable and dealing with bone deep grief from the tragic loss of her fiance, which many people do not understand. We find out the Connor understands her grief more than many people would as he has felt the loss she has.

Connor is not quite your typical bad boy who is misunderstood by society like I first thought. He has deeper layers than just that, mysterious and had a sense of humor, he intrigued me. He understands grief and how the 'blame game' can mess with a persons head. He has a protective personality who is not afraid to step in when needed, which sets him up to be falsely accused of a crime he didn't commit.

I enjoyed this book, and I am looking forward to reading the others in the series.

Very good romance, very well written and with excellent dark characters, dark by their mood, their past, who regain a little taste for life by meeting in circumstances which should have drawn them away and not attracted them. The story has a lot of twists, which is far from cute due to Connor's life.
Evelyn has been a widow for 3 years and she its hard for her to grieve. As a storm arrives and she lives by the sea, she meets Connor who is injured and swam to reach the coast.
The description of this woman locked in her mourning, afraid of acting with this man but who is attracted to him, is very well written, especially when we discover that Connor is a criminal and that neither of them can afford the fantasy to be one with the other.

Loved the book, the story was well written and the characters were intriguing. Once I started I could not get enough, from the start till the end I was engrossed I was even on the edge of my seat with twists and turns, lust and raw passion, strength, happiness with a happily ever after. Seduced was a major turn on. Do yourself a favor and buy the book you want be disappointed.

This one was a bit weird. Evelyn is mourning the loss of her fiancé for three years and within a day of being trapped with Connor who she just met she is having intense feelings and suddenly banging the dude after putting two and two together that he’s a criminal.
I don’t like how the book is written, it pretty choppy and the flow doesn’t really pull me in. I DNF at 33%

An ex-con and a storm. What could possibly happen? I really enjoyed this story. There was a point where I wasn’t sure if Connor could be lovable, but then... things happen.. and he is. And Evelyn is just the best! Who knew a wild weekend with Connor was what she needed to move forward in life? I loved the characters in this book. It’s a fun read!

I read this story as an ARC in exchange for a review. It was ok.. not great. The beginning of the story grabbed my attention. I thought it would be a sweet second chance love story for a widow. Then the story kept taking weird turns.. and left me with lots of questions.

((( BEWARE POTENTIAL SPOILERS BELOW)))

Was she previously married or just engaged? Had they lived in the beach house long or were they just moving in when the husband dies?
Connor gave a multitude of reasons, lies, excuses, for being on a boat and being shot.
He doesn't seem to think he has anything to offer her yet gives her a bar of palladium and an uncut diamond that supposed to keep them set for life.. doesn't seem realistic. His ego keeps him from coming to her.. but then he does after reading about how it was Evie's best sexual experience.
The I love you by Evie and proposal by Connor were unexpected to say the least.
My other issue with the story was her trip to the hospital. The way she's told about what occured in her attack and then results of tests from her and others are completely unrealistic! Her doc being all strange and nervous leaving the room, her friend telling her what went down.. ugh idk. The time frames of dna results, the nurses knowledge of the results, and how they all connect. Nope, not going to happen like that at all!
Also, wth was with her seeing people that weren't there while she cleaned out her house or passing out in the passenger seat of the vehicle when Connor left her in the city.. was she an alcoholic or just suffering a mental break?

Evelyn was still mourning the loss of her significant other when Connor showed up on her doorstep. For the first time in three years she started feeling things she hadn’t for a long time. She tries to act as if there was nothing there, but after making sure his wound was tended to and he was safe, she couldn’t deny it any longer.
Connor is a con man. He knows he isn’t good enough for Evelyn, but there is something about her that he can’t resist. He pushes her buttons and wants her to let him in. They agree it will be for the weekend, but when she hears a news report on the radio after they give in to the attraction, she runs scared.
They both wanted more, but didn’t know how it work. When their tryst gets brought up in court, it could very well be the end of something that could have been great for both of them. A quick, food read. The characters were flawed, but trying to come out of a dark place.

One Wild Weekend with Conner is the first book I've read by this author, and it was a really great read. The blurb was catchy, so I couldn't wait to see what played out with Evelyn and Conner.

Evelyn turned out to be a very likable character, and despite what she'd been through, I found her to be relate-able. Conner, on the other hand, was a little different than I was expecting, but I liked him. He was gruff yet mysterious and that in itself kept me flipping pages.

The whole premise about this story was different and the chemistry that existed between Evelyn and Conner gave it that sexy touch. While this might not the kind of story for all readers, I liked that the author did something out of the ordinary, maybe even a little on the edge.

Kept my interest and certainly played with my emotions--that's a win/win for me!

Evelyn still mourning the loss of her partner living a solitary life fairly isolated in a beach house for three years whilst out running comes across Connor injured from a boating accident he says. She takes him back to her house dressed his wound. Unfortunately a storm makes them stranded. Two unlikely characters who find they have some serious chemistry and decide to have one wild weekend then walk away.

After their wild weekend both still can't stop thinking about one another but it's not until Connor rescues Evelyn whilst she is being attack that further drama unfolds.

Connor may on parole with everything stacked against him but peel away the layers and he's a diamond in the rough.Evelyn has been so grief stricken she's forgotten how to live, together they hurtle towards a deserved HEA.

Definitely had a steam factor in this. It's essentially about how a good nice girl, falls for the bad guy and vice versa. Conner makes Evelyn forget her grief of the last 3 years. Evelyn gives Conner feelings he never thought he was capable of. After a wild weekend together they split up, only to meet again when Evelyn is drugged and attacked. Conner, who is out on parole is wrongly blamed for the attack. Conner and Evelyn then embark on a journey to clear Conner's name, a journey not only through the justice system but a journey battling their own feelings of doubt for each other. There's a lot to like in this book, but the timescales involved, events at the court hearing and actions of some of the law enforcement officials, which were really off base in my mind did tend to detract a bit.

They are forced to stay together waiting for the storm pass.she starts to look at her life now.
He needs her help, she knows he is not guilty.
Will be able to get over difficulties and trust the connection they share? Will they have any future together?
Connor is not really bad boy , there is more to him than meets the eye but he is an ex con and on parole .

While this was a decent book it just didn't keep me captivated. Evelyn kept irritating me. She was so far stuck in her own head that she couldn't even look at the door to the master bedroom without having an anxiety attack. Her hot and cold attitude toward Connor was annoying as well. I also have to say that for a 30 something year old woman she was still acting like a young 20 something taking everything said and done so seriously. Connor didn't help in the matters either. I get why he lied to her and why he left. But he had no issues letting the whole system just walk all over him. I hung on to the end. This book just didn't do it for me. *I voluntarily read an advanced copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.*

Evelyne is still grieving for her husband who died a few years before. She lives in a beachfront house in a cove and while running one night before a storm, she comes across Connor, injured and barely able to walk. She debates whether she should get involved. Evelyne helps Connor to her porch and cleans his wound and the storm moves in and effectively locks them together in the little house.
"You're the kind of girl I dream about every night."
"He runs his finger over my nipple so gently like he understands I haven't been touched in years."
"This woman has hot you twisted six ways from Sunday; I just wanted to know what made her different."
As life resumes, Evelyne faces a terrifying encounter and she is saved by this same man. But circumstances haunt them both for the foreseeable future. You will need to read this story to find out how it all turns out for Connor and Evelyne.
I really enjoyed the author's writing, the main characters, and their supporting cast. I will definitely be reading more of Lexi Hart's books.

This is my first book from Lexi Hart and I really enjoyed it. She gave me a hero I shouldn't like but do, and a heroine I just adored. Lexi brought so many emotions from me in this one. The characters had so much depth and layers to them, the more that was revealed the more you loved them.

Stories that involve grief I usually avoid but this one was done well and some of the emotions involved I really related too.

After reading this book, the first in a new series I am looking forward to reading more from this author and this series

This book is the first in a series. Evelyn is stranded in her beach home by a storm with spotty cellphone service, no electricity and a bleeding hunk of a man who may be an escaped convict. Connor is the hunky man and is concerned with the weird behavior of the woman who saved him. They end up doing the nasty, repeatedly, and part ways on Monday but that’s just the beginning. There is also a crazy bff, an understanding mom, a nosy pushy parole officer, a great lawyer, a nasty date rapist, crazy court shenanigans and some hot hot hot steamy scenes.

One Wild Weekend with Connor is a healing passionate read. It is filled with fast attraction and erotic heat. This is a sexy read filled with the mystery of who and what Connor is. I say healing because for Evelyn it is and while reading this one you will see why. I'd say a little for Connor as well too by the end. Connor is a bit of mystery throughout this one. As the story goes on you finally get to know the true Connor and it is easy to see why woman are drawn to him. Evelyn is lovely and it is easy to see the changes from beginning to the end of this read. I love how hot Connor and Evelyn are together. This was an amazing read.

Lexi when not at work basically hides away in her beach house mourning the loss of her fiancé 3 years ago.
One stormy night while out for a run she stumbles across Connor, wet and injured claiming he’s been in a boat accident.
Stuck together in her beach house for the weekend waiting out the storm and patching Connor up lexi starts letting down the barriers guarding her heart and Connor’s lies begin to diminish.
I enjoyed this book, there’s alot of chemistry between the pair and with the attack on lexi there’s more depth to the story than just the weekend in the storm.

This was really good.

This book has the right amount of pace, suspense, drama, humour and heat. I was caught up between its pages, unable to put it down. I liked the characters and overall plot. Connor has the right amount of mystery to appeal to a lonely woman living on her own, and enough sex appeal to make her second guess her morals. Evelyn as a heroine was relateable. Her grief is poignant, and her coping mechanisms are realistic.

I look forward to more in this series.

A wild weather weekend has Evelyn holed up in her home waiting out the storm. She is shocked when a worse for wear stranger shows up at her door.
Connor is a mystery wrapped in a riddle but their attraction is combustible as they spend an unforgettable time together.
Evelyn breaks from her norm and never expects to see him until she is attacked. When Connor is wrongly accused she continues to go above and beyond for longer than a weekend. As we get to know more about Connor the man and motives it lead
To an intense and hot read.

This book wasnt what I expected to read when I started. It's good. It started of a quick attraction with explosive chemistry. Thought it was gonna be your usual OTT, but nope. It was so much more; fueled with feelings from grieves, remorse, love, patience, and even self sacrifice. I liked how unpredictable the story went and how intricate and delicate, but also strong, relationship between MCs. I liked how Lexi Hart thrown in various topics into one melting pot; topics like second chances, self sacrifices, grieves, family, and strength of a woman i love. Great story!!

A quick connection formed between Evelyn and Connor during a storm. Misunderstandings rip them apart. I cried when Evelyn realized the past needed to stay in the past, and that she needed to move forward. I loved how Connor tried to push her in the direction of her future. With all they had to learn about themselves as well as each other, I did not want to stop reading this story.

This was quite an interesting story. You get glimpses into Connors life throughout the book but you don’t get to the heart of it until the end. Yet he can read Evelyn so well and know exactly what is going on with her so easily. I love the champions he has in this story. He got a bum deal and they know it and hate it but they can’t do anything about it.

I wish Connor and Evelyn the best life possible. They both deserve it.

Evelyn is grieving over the loss of her fiance' and Conner is a bad boy. What could possibly go wrong?? This book was a fast paced, easy read that gave you action, drama, suspense and lots of sexy. The story line was very different from anything I have ever read and I found it interesting. It's a little different but that's what keeps your interest throughout the book because you can't figure out what is going to happen next.
