Tempting James is the first book in the new Mysterious Adventures series. James and his three friends are actually team members that work for a government agency. The group dine at the restaurant where Jinx Bordeau is the manager and the chemistry between she and James is sizzling. Yet things turn interesting when someone tries to rob Jinx after hours. Her boss is one of those guys that only shows up once a week. You get a feel that he’s not actually as up front as he appears and it ends up true. Jinx ends up being the fall guy and James is there to help! This is a good opening since now that you’ve met the team you are ready to see who falls next maybe Jack!

Jinx and James was such a cute read. Jinx is a restaurant manager at James favorite restaurant and they have the hots for each other. Unfortunately, neither one is ready to make it known to the other until forces outside their control force their hand.
Jinx was funny, quirky, and so darn cute. She and James together seem like teenagers at first, but the passion and connection is there for all to see. I loved them as a couple and while this story is short, the reason for Jinx’s troubles was a bit unclear and I felt that we built up the connection of the restaurant employees throughout the book, but never put closer to them at the end. I was left wondering what happened to the relationships and the outcome of arrest. Is it integral to the story, maybe not, but it feels like a thread that’s not closed.
I’m definitely interested in the other 3 friends stories that are sure to come. This is was a good start.

Jinx Bordeau loves creating recipes and feeding people so her job as the manager of a beach restaurant in Florida is perfect. Another perk recently came up in the form of James, a newer frequent customer. Jinx is VERY attracted to him and with their flirting it seems James may want her too.
James can’t stop thinking of the delicious beautiful sexy Jinx. He’s falling hard for her but has hesitated to approach her… Until… trouble comes for Jinx. James saves her from a robbery and with his connections he continues to protect her.
James is a luscious mystery and he is ready to commit to Jinx. She is a genuine great lady who deserves a strong loving protector in James. I love this sexy love story. I read free in exchange for my honest review. Linda

I found this book to be an easy read. I enjoyed the relationship between James and Jinx, I like books where the guy is really protective and James fit the mould exactly. He looks after Jinx and protects her from harm. This book doesn’t go into any details about his work which is a shame as I would have loved to find out more. I’m glad Jinx got justice at the end of the book and I’m looking forward to reading the next book. I received this book from the Author. I’m voluntarily leaving my honest review.

One of The Best Books Yet!
I love this author, no doubt, and each of her books are a joy to read...over and over again!
This tale is a bit different in that Jinx and James have known each other a while since James and his team frequent her restaurant often. That changes when Jinx is almost robbed one evening and James saves her. As things progress with their relationship, Jinx is falsely accused of a crime and jailed!
Not going to reveal further, just grab this book and settle down to read...you won't stop till you're finished !

This book is a quick great read! The characters are interesting and hot. James works for an agency he can't talk about, Jinx is a manager of a bar/restaurant. Both are drawn to each other. When Jinx is setup for stealing James goes into action to protect the woman he has come to love. I loved the the interaction between James and Jinx and also the interaction of James and the 3 fellow men on James's group. Good start to the series! Can't wait to read the stories for the 3 other men!

Jinx and James are both delectable and amazing at their jobs.
Throughout the book we get to witness how much Jinx put others before herself, as well as how that can get her into trouble. So seeing how James protects her without asking anything in return becomes amazing.
This was a very quick book which of course comes with its limitations for how much is written about the characters.
But as long as you keep that in mind this is a great short romantic suspense with some spice.

This first book of the series sees an entertaining short story a out the mysterious James who although he notices everything about Jinx is reluctant to pursue her.
Jinx is all about her job and staff til James comes across her about to get mugged and steps in.
Romantic yet steamy their story is fast paced and exciting.
Standalone, but I’m looking forward to finding out more about the team in the rest of the series

Cute short story
This is the 1st book in the series and it was very good. Very short and sweet with great characters and a good plot. The H works for a secret agency, the h is a manager at a restaurant, both have been lusting after each other for awhile. The H came to the rescue of the h when she was accused of larceny by her boss. Great ending. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

A quick read about one of a team of guys who work on top secret assignments. I enjoyed the fact that James was there for Jinx when she needed him most and the happy ending. I hope there are stories about the other characters in the book and what happens with James getting out of the secret agency.

WOW, what a great short story, but with a big bang. I love how big of a heart Jinx has with the people in her circle and the big crush on James. I love how James wants to take care of her and stepped up to the plate big time, when she needed him the most. I punched the air and shouted out loud when her boss got what was due. Absolutely love the lawyer scene.

Excellent short story full of love and intrigue. Loved both Jinx and James and his friends. Jinx runs a restaurant and James and his friends go there most days to eat. James is in love with Jinx and she has a serious crush on him. Jinx nearly gets robbed but James saves her and so begins love. Can’t wait for the next book, going to be great.

James King, security team leader of a highly secretive organization, has a serious attraction to Jinx Bordeau who is a restaurant manager and baker of delicious foods and sweets. Jinx finds herself in trouble and arrested for something she didn't do. James to the rescue! This is a sweet and mysterious story and a fun read.

I’m definitely buying the next book. Buck’s story. I really like books that go to the point and not dwell on insecurities. Elizabeth Lennox builds her characters multiple at a time. Brilliant! A masculine man blurting out his feelings, as a matter of fact. Proposing and negotiating at the same time. Brilliant! This book is so well written. Excellent job. 5 Stars

I loved the brotherhood of the four men and how they all came to Jinx’s rescue with no questions asked. I didn’t like how the staff with exception on Donny turned their back on Jinx at the first sign of trouble without asking themselves why would Jinx do something like that.

I love James & Jinx's story. It covered James and Jinx getting to know each other, James rescuing Jinx, teasing and banter from friends and colleagues on their attraction for each other, etc. It was such an enjoyable read. I especially loved the bad guy getting his just desserts at the end!

This series started with a fascinating short novel with twists and turns, a touch of mystery and suspense and lots of passion! I enjoyed reading this book and I can't wait to read the next in this series!

A little slow for me action came at the end of the story. It was some what of a to be continued with James leaving his job and his boss thinking of a way to keep him, don't like her she might be trouble for the happy couple.

Loved James and Jinx from the beginning through the end! Great short read. They made me cry, laugh and curse! I felt like I could relate to the characters and was invested in their HEA. Can’t wait for the rest of the team to find their forevers. It will be epic!

Well to start off the story was going really good. Only thing I didn't like was it jumped so fast to the end. I think it needed at least 2 more chapter ! I hope book 2 has a better plot that doesn't jump so fast to the end!

I loved the book James and Jinx was love at first sight. Neither wanted to come on to the other and both kept there feelings for each other to their self. The others could see they were attracted to the other.

Tempting James understatment
Any book that Elizabeth Lennox writes is a keeper. I loved that Sam gives James a salad instead of a burger and he eats it without another word.
