A darkly humorous crime story. Bret and Sarah, Shel and Ramy, were married together 20 years ago, and now they plan to renew their marital vows. But Bret and Ramy are having an affair, and preparing an anniversary surprise - a bomb that will blow their respective partners to kingdom come.
Double Wedding is a highly underrated under read BOOK! My mother told me about this book as she read over 40 years ago! This is about two married couples who are seemingly happy with their spouses, but partners in both marriages are secretly having marital issues and are unhappy. They are making plans to end their marriage with their spouses to be together, but in the most calculated, heinous and dangerous way…. Not just by way of divorce.
What I liked most about this story is that it was unpredictable in the best of ways. It’s not your typical crime of passion type of story, but a true suspenseful crime thriller. I didn’t know what to expect as I was reading it; it had minimal characters which was great because it stuck to one plot without having multiple confusing storylines. This was well written, entertaining, and a PAGE TURNER.
If you enjoy suspenseful romance crime stories, then you’ll enjoy this read as it’s nothing like anything I’ve read before. I give it 👍🏾👍🏾
What a story! The initial two-thirds of the book is wordy description of literally every detail that went into the planning of the murder (and the murder itself is a complete surprise) - each facial expression, tiniest tilt of a head, hand gesture..... I got a little bogged down, and yet it was intriguing. The last third of the book is the trial, which was fascinating. Held my complete attention, and I read through it quickly. This book is definitely worth reading!
Wow. I wish more people knew about this book. So many amazing twists and turns I was truly in shock. Unlike any mystery I’ve ever read and was completely fooled so many times. It’s really a crime that this book has fallen into obscurity.
