Schott wonderfully utilizes personal stories to illustrate her points and make you ponder. Her writing style is easy to read and welcoming. While I'm not particularly religious, I found her section on God to be honest and grounded. I particularly loved her sections on Nature and Music as they are important in my own life. In particular her chapter highlighting her time in Shenendadoah made me relive my own experiences. Her discussion questions at the end of each part of her book forced me to really reflect on what matters to me, something that I feel is crucial to live a happy and fulfilled life that is aligned with our true values. Regardless of your faith, I recommend this book!

Inspiring! Schott's storytelling is beautiful, emphasizes family and faith, and incorporates pictures within each chapter for personal insight. As someone who practices a different spirituality, I kept my mind, heart, and soul open the entire time and finished the book better off because of it. I especially enjoyed the author's compassionate show-don't-tell approach. There are lessons in all three parts for every reader to learn!

Sarah's shows us the simplicity of what living a life of faith means and the importance of slowing down to listen to God's voice through both nature and music. Her heartwarming childhood stories paint a vivid picture that is so different from my own that I was completely enamored! As a woman of faith, it was a wonderful reminder that he uses each of us "in our unique way to show positivity in the world".

I truly enjoyed reading this book, especially the section about nature. Sarah so beautifully reminds us that being in nature can be a spiritual practice and can help us connect with God. I loved seeing the personal pictures! If you're looking for a renewed hope in yourself, the world, and your place in it this is a must-read.
