Combat Ready: A Tale of Two Wars

Rate this book
“Combat Ready; A Tale of Two Wars” is a compilation of personal journals I wrote at my son Enzo’s bedside while he was suffering the ailments of a misdiagnosis that turned out to be cancer - leukemia. I wrote these journals as a mental coping mechanism, but more importantly, to memorialize his journey for my older son who was away from home serving his country and unaware of his little brother's struggles. He would later learn of his life’s battles after reading the same words you are about to read. I decided to combine these memories into a chronological book to further tell this story and the lessons learned.

Incredible book. I’m deeply impacted by this story and greatly inspired by Randy and Enzo and the rest of the family. I’m honored to know this family and love being around them. Their personalities and love for life in all its aspect is infectious and radiant. Highly recommend reading this book. You truly have no idea what battles someone has gone through in their life. And as a father myself, this book and its message will forever stick with me.

Thanks Coach,
Steven

Powerful and Sincere

The author uses his life struggles to help him face a fathers worst fear, a sick child. His struggles are sincere, and easily relatable. He uses the battles he has faced to provide life lessons to his sons and for the reader. Short and powerful read.
