Her background in writing covers many genres, ranging from Southern Gothic to young and new Adult. With five pieces of published poetry under her belt and after the success of her debut book, Will You Love Me Again?, she wanted to fuel her passion for writing with two sequels, thus Where Will We Go?: A Sequel and What’s Next, Lucy? were born. She lives in Athens, Alabama, with the love of her life Dustin and their dogs, Buttercup and Copper.
Drunken mistake and marriage.. her ex is moving on and honestly this author shows divorce. You don’t read about it a lot and it was refreshing to read that not all marriages work out. But you have to keep moving forward.
Where Will We Go? by Emily Craig is a new Women's Fiction, New Adult, Contemporary fiction novel that is both, quick to read and easy to love.
I enjoyed reading this book a lot because the writing had a very good flow. The characterisation was good and the settings were absolutely brilliant. I loved that the author used the backdrop of Paris in this book because I love that place (actually I may be kind of obsessed with it - just a little bit *wink*) so when I read the blurb I knew it from the start that Iw as gonna love this book and I was not at all disappointed!
The author did a great job with a seemingly simple plot and turned it into something really special. Even though this is a sequel to another book, I didn't feel like I missed out on anything as the author has explained the story of the first book in the preface, so I really appreciated it (And would like to thank author Craig for it.)
I would strongly recommend this book to New Adult and Women's Contemporary Fiction readers. And also to those readers who like reading about travelling and especially if you are a Francophile (like me) you will love this book!
this book shows the journey of a breakup.. a divorce really and i thought it was really nice to seem someone’s journey and how they overcome and this book did pretty well with that.. but there were things that i didn’t like and it threw me for a loop (my opinion) but overall a decent read ^.^
Where Will We Go is a sequel, but this book's story doesn't let you feel like you are missing something. Our protagonist Lucy Berry just went through a divorce which left her heart broken. Every time your heart is broken, a doorway cracks open to a world full of new beginnings, and new opportunities. Now Lucy has to go to Paris because of her job. She gets to take her friends on this trip to Paris. Paris is a place everybody wants to visit once in a lifetime, and Lucy is also one.
This is the journey of how Lucy heals from her heartbreak, how her friends help her to overcome it, and how she manages to find herself. We live in a world with flawed humans who fail us and make mistakes. Many of our dreams are wrapped up in these humans, and because of that, brokenness is just a part of living on this earth. It’s a price of admission to this life and something which we all must pay. We can’t always control the situation or the outcome for that matter. But we can control how we respond to the devastating blow when heartbreak strikes. Let's find out by reading about the inspirational journey of Lucy how this trip to Paris help her overcome her heartbreak. This book is a motivation for those who are going through heartbreak.
The writing style of the author along with the narration is absolutely amazing and the thing that makes this book unique is the simplicity and the honesty in writing. I'd suggest you guys to personally give it a try, it's all worth it!
Where Will We Go?, is the sequel to Craig's debut novel, Will You Love Me Again?. It opens up and gives you the perfect refresher of what happened previously.
The writing style changed from blog style in the first novel to a seamless, natural flow in this book. It is an easy, engaging, and quick moving read. Also, Craig has a wonderful way with imagery. Making it so easy to visualize the scenes taking place.
Still written from Lucy's point of view, you follow along her journey of recovering from a divorce, landing a dream job, and making emotional connections with people in her life.
I very much enjoyed this book. Lucy chased her dreams and got a dream job writing for a magazine. This allowed her to scoop her friends up and set off to Paris with them. Getting to see Lucy work out her emotional turmoil within herself and with her friends kept the book so real and relatable. The added surprise at the end got me excited for what's to come next…
Emily's sequel is a shining example of creating relatable characters that you'll fall in love with, having impeccable imagery of beloved places (especially in Paris) and bringing a difficult, yet universal topic to light through a lovely narrative. As an avid reader and author myself, I loved and appreciated how Emily poured her heart and soul into crafting this story - her passion and drive for writing stories is powerful!
One suggestion I have for the author is to be a bit more mindful of the pacing of the story. There were several instances where I wished the narrative slowed down more to take a deeper dive into Lucy's mind, had a few more smoother transitions, and/or allowed time to digest certain plot points along the way.
Nonetheless, I thoroughly was invested in Lucy's story and cannot wait to see how her journey unfolds in the next book!
•When unexpected occurrences occur in our lives, we sometimes lose sight of the fact that life will continue to flow even when objects or people are removed from it. These occurrences separate us from ourselves and cause us to feel lonely on the inside, but as the proverb goes, does life contain something greater for us, which is why we lose what we had? Let's find out by reading EMILY CRAIG's WHERE WILL WE GO: A SEQUEL. The cover page is highly unusual and will surely make the readers curious and is apt to the story. The title of the book is also very interesting.
•The narrative is a sequel, but it can also be read on its own because the author has written it quite clearly. When Lucy's high school sweetheart David divorced him, things were quite tense for her. David soon became engaged to his mistress, but Lucy was still caught in the between of this love and heartache. Life was testing her, but there was a silver lining when she landed her ideal job. She was now visiting the hotspots of Paris for her new work. With her best buddy at her side, she was not only enjoying herself but also exploring herself on this voyage.
Will she be able to shed her past despite her success after a heartbreak? What else is in store for her? Will her terrible year come to a close with the surprise of her life? Read on to find all of your answers!
•The author has given the tale a lovely plotline, with each character fitting in well with the settings. The author has effectively sewn the finale, offering a good depiction. The character profile of the heroine Lucy will appeal to readers since they will be able to identify her emotions.
Purchasing this book was my best decision. I don't regret a single penny I spent to purchase this book. This was a very worthy read. I personally request to go and get this book for yourself. This book is now on of my favourite book. It is kind of different from other books. I am really impressed by the author's writing style. It was a brilliant experience reading this book, because of the flow i never got bored of the book and got engaged in it. I finished this book in just two sittings. This is the sequel of the first book yet i did not feel like I was missing on something because of how author penned down the story from starting till the last. But now I am very excited to read the first part and i cannot wait to read it.The plot of the book is simple yet significant.
This book shows us that due to a downfall in one's life. One cannot loose hope and do nothing about it like ending of a failed relationship does not mean it's the end of one's life or aspirations. This book gives us motivation. Protagonist of this book is named Lucy and she is going through a bad phase. She recently got her heartbroken because her husband(her school time love) was found cheating on her and she had to divorce him. Her life was again failed with happiness when she got her dream job of travel writer. She was now happier than ever and she forgot about all her past traumas. She started living her life to the fullest. I really liked the cover page of this book. Language used in this book is lucid. Happy Reading!!
Review: Newly divorced Lucy Berry, is trying her best to get over her high school sweetheart David. David got engaged to his mistress, immediately after the divorce, while Lucy is still trying to figure out which direction she wants to take her life in. Getting over a heartbreak is difficult, but with time Lucy does some healing. This is her story of coming to terms with her old life and discovering a new self.
This is just one of the most touching books I have ever read. It is true that good friends are worth more than any other riches in the world. The story shows how spending more time with her friends, helped Lucy move on with her life as a strong woman, despite the setback heartbreak had put her in.
The story is everything that all of us need to hear sometimes. To heal from a hurt, it is important to come to terms with what hurt you and let go of it. The book is centered around the theme of self-love and is something that all readers can take away from it. The readers are will find the book to be inspiring and I highly recommend it to all.
Life becomes tough when you can't get the support of the person you've always got or even just wish for. Moving on is way far more hard than the person ever expected it turn out to be and when it comes at the cost of either choosing your partner or your loved ones over your dream career, as it is not as easy as ABC to select any one major decision over another.
The similar happened the the second book of the series "Where will we go? " by Author Emily Craig. In this book Lucy, the protagonist is going through an immense heartbreak and divorce with her high-school love who ended up cheating her on a drunk night. But the crossroad doesn't end up here, as Goodluck shines for Lucy bringing up immense joy and happiness with a fresh dream job offer of a travel writer which helped her to Beal better from the past traumas she has faced and she starts her own individual journey of happiness and joy.
I personally loved the plot and concept of the book which revolves around aftermath of marriage and divorce and I especially adore how Lucy's journey being highlighted as she embrake an individual journey in her life.
Review: Lucy Berry has newly been divorced from David, her high-school lover. Knowing, that David is now engaged to his mistress, she is trying to direct her life in the correct direction, trying to heal from the heartbreak and divorce. Where will we go, is the story of a woman on the path of rediscovering herself, with her friends to keep her company.
A perfect book to make the readers see that a failed relationship is not the end of your life and dreams. There’s always more that you can discover and much more that you can accomplish. Good time that you spent building yourself up can heal you.
I loved every bit of the book and I can see many readers finding it relatable and even inspiring. The theme of the story is self-love and care and every person in the world can benefit with a bit of that. A tremendous book, and I would say is reading it was good time, that I spent with myself, and mny other readers would feel the same.
This is my first book from this author and I am definitely in love with the overall styling of the book. This book is an adult themed fiction meant for mature readers which talks about modern day love affairs based out of social media, fast & moody emotions, less on trust, understanding and devotion and ultimately divorce, separation and being in depression. This is a sequel by author Emily Craig revolving around the life of the lead protagonist Lucy and David and their usual full of love & respect married life which takes a drastic turn following a drunken night stand by one of them which changes everything. Starting from the book title, the design , the picture theme with A man and 2 women along with extremely relatable and lucid writing style by author makes it a delectable piece of read with or without a cup of coffee anywhere & everywhere. Overall a sureshot dramatic adult entertainer which has all ingredients to be made into a web series or a movie. Love all, peace out.
Life always have something better to offer and one should never hold to his/her past. Loving yourself, purely yourself could achieve you a sense of satisfaction and belief in yourself.
The story revolves around a divorced women, Lucy who got separated by her ex- husband, David and she is looking forward to move on and forget her past. It was really heart wrenching to read how the heart break can break a person into pieces that the person finds himself/ herself lost but with good friends, things get easy and sorted. Lucy’s friends sent her to a trip to discover the new her. Will she be able to change herself ? Will she be able to move on ?
The story is beautifully written with beautiful elements. The language is simple and easy to understand. The cover is mesmerising, just wow ! “Where Will We Go ?” Is a beautiful and attractive title. Go and order your copy now !
This is a very charming read with a character who needs to find herself, let go and move on with her life after a life changing heartbreak. This book is a sequel, although i hadn't read the first book i don't feel as though i had to, I will have a read of book one soon as i am curious after reading this one. I loved the travel writer aspect although I did find that in my opinion only, there was too much of a locational advertising feel, but the overall story was full of love and light. The characters were cute and bubbly with strong friendships and a taste for spontaneity and adventure. The level of research and knowledge from the author is very apparent and a lot of care has been taken into creating this lovely read with the most beautiful of backdrops.
Where Will We Go? By Emily Craig is a heartwarming story of Lucy’s journey of self-discovery after getting divorced. She lands her dream job as a travel writer and takes her best friends to Paris. I did not enjoy the dialogue and I wish the nightmares were done differently. It was a very quick read, felt like spending time talking and working through your emotions and feelings with your best friends. Thank you Twins and Talent and Emily Craig for a copy of Where Will We Go in exchange for my honest review.
I recommend it if you enjoy reading about travel, adventures, and great friendships.
Peace, hope, freedom. I am free🕊. - - I have enjoyed this story so much since the first page. The story follows a girl named Lucy who got divorced from her high school sweetheart David.
Seeing her grow through heartbreak, and seeing her follow her dreams is such a beautiful thing. I love how strong she was, I also loved the friendship in this book is so unique.
The message in this book was so strong and I’d recommend it to everyone except it's a quick read it's also so enjoyable and a fantastic read.
I have enjoyed following Lucy’s story! Seeing her grow through heartbreak, seeing her follow her dreams after being done horribly, has been beautiful. Lucy is a strong character with wonderful supportive friends to hold her up through everything she has been through. Fantastic read!
A beautifully written sequel that will keep you entertained and hooked for as long as you’ll be reading it! This book follows the story of a girl named Lucy who went through a tough divorce and is now trying to glue her broken pieces all together.
With a lovely set of characters and an adorable friend group, “Where Will We Go” treats subjects as moving on, heartbreak and healing and it teaches us more on what a woman goes through after the cute and beautiful parts of romance come to an end.
The writing style is so simple and special and I really enjoyed the fact that I got familiar with all the characters and the world so quickly especially since I haven’t read the first book! I highly recommend this to those who enjoy reading quick stories that involve traveling and friendship groups and cute romances but also to those who love to read about the darker sides of a love story.
Note: Thank you to the author for providing me an ebook copy!
A big thank you to the author and @twinsandtalent for sending me a free copy of this book!
I enjoyed this book! It displayed a main character growing through a difficult time with the support of great friends. My favorite thing was the descriptions of Paris! I loved traveling vicariously through Lucy. Paris has been on my bucket list for a long time too. The dialogue was a little cringy, but the characters grew on me as I kept reading! Definitely check this book out if you like travel, adventures, and genuine friendships.
I didn’t read book 1 and maybe I missed more of the story of the breakup but I liked how we follow Lucy come back from her breakup. I liked her friends and their adventure to Paris.
Lucy is trying to move past her cheating ex and divorce by rediscovering herself. What better way to do that than to go on a month-long work trip to Europe with her two best friends?
Life after any breakup is hard and scary. Emily shows raw emotions through the words on these pages. We see the rollercoaster that Lucy is on while trying to move forward with her life and leaving the past behind her. Although life is hard at the moment, Lucy shows us that we are responsible for our own happiness.
While this book is a sequel, you don’t have to read the first book to enjoy this one. Lucy just went through a divorce from her husband who cheated on her. She now has a new job that is sending her to Paris to write some articles. She gets to take her two best friends with her to explore the place she has wanted to visit ever since she was a kid. While there her friends help her get through the back end of getting over her ex, who is now engaged to the woman he cheated with.
I think this book does a good job at showing that getting over a heartbreak isn’t easy. It takes time and you will backslide and feel terrible some days. Leaning on friends is a great way to get through things. A trip to Paris also helps! And this book really makes me want to visit Paris now.
There were things that I wasn’t the biggest fan of. The dreams involving her ex were really strange. Her friends made it sound like she had control over her dreams and then they got mad at her for having dreams of him. Also the interactions between all the friends just seemed a little awkward. Like I couldn’t really picture people having conversations like that in real life.
Other than those two things I thought this was a good book about healing through a heartbreak and just how much a trip and your friends can help you.
─ maybe there’s something you’re afraid to say, or someone you’re afraid to love, or somewhere you’re afraid to go, it’s gonna hurt, it’s’s gonna hurt because it matters 🌷
The book tells the story of Lucy Berry who has lately been divorced from David, her high-school sweetheart.
Our Lucy is having such a hard time getting over her failed marriage but what will help her is a lifetime trip to Paris with her best friends, a trip she has dreamed about since she was little. This trip will help her reflect and see that divorce isn’t the end of the world.
This was such a cute and fast paced book and I had so much fun while reading it. The writing style was so easy to read and the characters were so adorable. I’m so glad I had a chance to read it✨
🥀I'm choosy when it comes to booking covers & this book cover caught my eye. Talking about the cover, it's very beautiful as well as attractive enough to grab attention. The story is depicted down beautifully & with much clarity. The plot is about Lucy Berry who married her childhood sweetheart David.
🥀Everything was going smooth until that night when their drunken mistake of David altered the whole world upside down for Lucy. Situations are not similar for David and Lucy both because on one hand Lucy is all alone in grief and sadness, on the contrary, David just got engaged immediately after the divorce.
🥀Heartbreak is one of the toughest phases to go through but it could be lived with if it is accompanied by close friends, who are there with you on your journey” The story shows how Lucy healed from this heartbreak when her close friends were in this together with her.
🥀This is a touching and overwhelming journey of how Lucy found herself after this tragedy. The story breathes around the idea of self-love and there is so much in this book that all bibliomaniacs can take away from it. You'll admire the author's writing style because she has neither inflated stuff nor said too little.
🥀Just the exact quantity of descriptions any reader would ask for is present. You would feel attached and inspired to the story after reading a few pages only because of the storyline. Moreover, you can feel moments of life being scattered in its pages.
🥀I loved the storyline and concept of the story which revolves around the consequences of divorce and I especially appreciate how Lucy's path is given prominence as she begins a solitary journey in her life.
While the first book may not have been for me, this one certainly was. I loved it from start to finish. There were many times I laughed out loud at a few of the jokes being said, and I love the chemistry between all the characters.
Also, hot damn, do I ever want to visit Paris now. I mean, I always wanted to, but having Lucy say so many cool and interesting things about Paris that I didn't even know about made me want to go even more! I hope that someday I can see the things mentioned in the book. I don't know if the author has been to Paris or not, but if she hasn't, she sure made it convincing that she was.
PS: Like the last book, LOVE the cover. (Although I like this one more. Such cute designs).
𝑴𝒚 𝑹𝒆𝒗𝒊𝒆𝒘: "Where Will We Go?" penned by the author Emily Craig is a sequel. At the age of twenty two, Lucy married her high school sweetheart David Lee. After two years of marriage, her husband got involved with someone else. So, Lucy divorced him and a year later, David got engaged to his mistress.
Lucy landed the travel writer position at Getaway Travel Magazine. It was interesting to see Lucy and her friends Jenny and Michael planning their trip to Paris. Grab a copy of this book to know how Lucy explores French culture. Get to know by reading this story will David be just a past for Lucy now.
Lucy's story is inspiring. This book reminded me of my favorite web series "Emily in Paris" in which an American girl landed in Paris for a job and soon her breakup happened. This book is written well by the author. The cover photo is attractive. The title of the story is suitable and the pace is fast so you won't be bored anytime while reading it.
Those who love reading stories of transformation from self-doubt to self-love should get their hands on this book.
In Where Will We Go?, the compelling sequel to Lucy Berry’s story, readers are treated to a heartwarming and uplifting tale of healing, friendship, and self empowerment.
