Single father, member of a local motorcycle club, bar owner...and currently looking for an accountant.

In another life, he was someone I'd stay away from.

Not because of his tattoos, his past, or even the messy single-parent drama.

It was his looks that would have kept me away.

Dark blonde hair, mussed and unfairly perfect, lake green eyes, and that strong jaw that could easily cut glass. Don't even get me started on those dark jeans that were always straddling his chrome bike and the white t-shirt he wore that barely fit his sculpted arms.

He was too much.

It didn't help matters that he was also a massive jerk.

But in this life, the one where I was broke and unemployed...he was my best shot.

All I had to do was resist his adorable kids, deny their movie night invitations, and under no circumstances crawl onto their trampoline and stargaze with them and their dad.

I had a plan, a way to keep my distance but I had never been great at following my own advice.

Maybe if I had been, I wouldn’t have found myself being used as a pawn between a notorious biker gang and the man who was slowly claiming my heart.

I finally finished this book after legit being unable to focus for nearly 2 days on much of anything else! Ramsey and Jimmy’s story instantly hooked me! This book made me laugh and cry, gave me emotional whiplash (in the best way!), it made me want to bash Ramsey and Jimmy’s heads together to make them see reason sometimes too!! Just when I thought my heart was going to break, it all came back together! This book has heart and passion and it has made its way to the top of my favorites list! While there are no explicit sex scenes, the passion is still undeniable and had every bit of my heart. You won’t regret this book.

Wow, Ashley Munoz has gone all out and put her best foot forward in her debut release.

In this slow burn romantic suspense, she has pieced together one hell of a ride that kept my interest right through from beginning to end. The plot slotted together like an intricate jigsaw that gave away snippets of information until a larger picture was formed and even then, not all was revealed. And, by the by, it is a little longer that most books.

Both Ramsey and Jimmy are strong individuals who have people relying on them. Ramsey has just had her life upended. Her mother has terminal liver cancer, and she has just been phased out at her well paying job. I love that she still sees that as an advantage in that she now has moved back home semi-permanently to be with her mother. She does however, need a job and is on her way to an interview, when she is given an almighty fright by an overtaking motorcycle. At an opportune time, she decides, against her usual temperament, to give the sexy-ar$ed rider one hell of a tong up, only to find he ended up arriving at the same interview before her – as her potential boss.

Jimmy is a single father, on hiatus for the last five years from his MC family, the Brass, and looking to stay out permanently like his father before him. Jimmy is nothing short of a gorgeous single father who thought nothing of changing his whole life to ensure that his kids have the most stable and secure upbringing. This new life includes a successful bar and restaurant, and he requires an accountant. Unfortunately for him, the most promising candidate just behaved like an out of control crazy lady, so he’s having none of it.

It is through a dark comedy of errors, or coincidence that they keep bumping into each other, where further mis-understandings occur, and unbeknown to them both, Ramsey has already gotten to know Jimmy’s father and children, who both think she is just wonderful.

My only observation was, that on the face of it, Jimmy and his Dad seemed unlike any MC members that I know of, and perhaps I was stereotyping. They are ‘good men’! Hell yeah, I was surprised! It was later in the story that Ashley Munoz filled in the gaps, and their characters became way more believable. Especially when Jimmy’s MC leader demands a meeting after his five years away.

I loved everything about this book, from the well put together plot to right through to ever important secondary characters. I loved the definition of the ‘Glimmer.’ Everything is as I expected it should be, including my most favourite dual POV. Wow Ashely Munoz, in your first outing as an author, you have produced a read that had me glued to your pages as much as I have for any of my other favourite authors. 4.5 Stars!!

I actually really enjoyed the beginning. There was solid chemistry but as the story progressed the same argument and miscommunication was rehashed o et and over. I 100 pages were trimmed off, I think it would have really helped the story.

I have been eyeballing this book for MONTHS.
I hate to admit it, but I'm a huge cover judge. If it's a pretty cover, I usually give it a chance. I know that's awful, but it's the truth. But I mean, look at it! Can you blame me? The cover is absolutely gorgeous!
So along with the beautiful cover, I read the synopsis and I was sold. Come on now, single dad? Motorcycle club? Does it get any better?
Reading this book, I was instantly thrown back into Sons Of Anarchy Vibes with the way she described Jimmy. Another fun fact, I'm obsessed with Sons of Anarchy and Jax Teller.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Synopsis:
I'd heard about Jimmy the Fist.
I'd heard he was a single dad, a bar owner, and that he was tied to a dangerous motorcycle gang.
He's someone I'd stay away from in another life.
In this life, I was desperate for a job—preferably as a tax accountant—but scraping the bottom of my savings had stripped my preferences bare. I was desperate for something, anything that would help my mom.
Turns out he was desperate for something too—freedom—and when our worlds collide I realize too late that his demons didn't care how or with whom they collected their debt.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I honestly LOVED this book so much. I loved the slow burn, enemies to friends to lovers. I love that the main characters didn't instantly fall at each others' feet. And Theo, gosh, I can't talk about how much I absolutely loved Theo.
If you're into suspense romance or enemies to lovers, or slow burn, then you'll love this. If you aren't? Well you would probably still love this book. @ashleymuoz_author did such a fantastic job with this book. I'm so glad that I finally took the plunge and read it. Jimmy and Ramsey 100% stole my heart!

It took me about two days to write this review. I wanted to love this book so bad, but it turned out to be just okay for me.

Ramsey is determined to give her mother the best life possible in her last days, and she doesn’t need a man or have time for one to distract her from doing just that. But Ramsey finds it hard to resist Jimmy, his father, and his two beautiful children. It also isn’t the best timing when Jimmy has his own demons to fight. Neither of these two were looking for each other, but sometimes fate steps in and has other plans.

There were so many parts that I adored in this book. I loved Ramey’s mom and Jimmy’s dad and kids. I also loved the sweet and caring side to Jimmy when he would let it out. I knew right from the start that Jimmy and Ramsey were going to make the perfect little couple. It’s just too bad that it took forever and an act of congress to get there.

First thing, there is so much back and forth that my head began to swim. One minute it was Ramsey, and then the next it was Jimmy, but to me, it took away from the story and left me feeling annoyed quite a bit of the time. I love a good slow burn, but this book is a super, super slow burn. I mean it took forever to get to the good stuff, and then when it did, it was like boom all the sexy and sweet parts were rushed over. I also had so much hope for the end, and that’s why I kept going, but it fell flat and was super rushed. Overall, this book had so much potential, but it just fell short for me.

First I have to say that this book was nothing like what I thought it would be. It turned out to be so much more. I really enjoyed this book once I got into it. It was slow at first but then it started to pick up and it took off and running from there.

Ramsey has lost her job and has decided to go home to her mother who just found out she is sick. Ramsey is determined to spend as much time with her mother as possible. She decides to go looking for a job in her hometown and she goes on an interview where she meets Jimmy. She doesn't get the job at first.

Jimmy is a man on a mission and that is to take care of his kids and run his business. He is done with the MC life and his wife has left him with the kids so he has become bitter party of one. Then he meets sassy, sexy, smart Ramsey and his life changes.

As these two navigate through life and starting a relationship there is a lot of push and pull between the both of them. They both are hard headed and give each other crap all the way. I loved the banter between these two it was funny and frustrating at times but the ending that ending was epic!

I can't begin to tell you how much I loved Glimmer by Ashley Munoz. I found myself not wanting to put this book down. I found myself falling in deep for each and every one of these characters.

Ramsey was great. She's strong, even when she's weak. She has a heart of gold and so much love to give. Jimmy is not at all what I thought he would be in the beginning. He loves his kids and would do anything to protect them. I loved watching Ramsey and Jimmy fall. They totally feel hard and fast. I loved it. They went through so much just to be together. I loved how fiercely they fought not only for each other, but to protect those they love. Jimmy had his demons, but he worked thought it. I loved their HEA.

I can't wait for more. I can't wait for Laney and Jackson's story. Please check out this great book. I loved every second of it.

I absoultely loved Ashley's Debut novel Glimmer.

I dare you to start Ramsey and Jimmy's story and not get hooked... it's impossible readers!

Ramsey and Jimmy's story starts off rocky right from the opening scene and continues all the way through to the very last word.

Glimmer takes you on one hell of an adventure that will take you through all the feel's we search for when looking for our next read. Glimmer made me laugh out loud, curse under my breath, shake my head and "roll my eyes" *wink* but it also brought me to happy tears too.

Let's just say I'm still fangirling over Glimmer.

Captivating!

I couldn’t put this one down. I was instantly on the edge of my seat. I love how I felt like I was right there with Ramsey and Jimmy - it was like a movie playing all the way through. I found myself cheering or yelling at the characters for I truly felt emotionally invested in them. This could easily be a movie...one I would watch over and over! Would love to see a continuation of there story...Fingers Crossed.

**4.5 Stars**

This book. My top 10 list for this year. I promise you won’t be sorry if you dive right in. Make sure you have nothing planned because you won’t want to put it down. There is so much I can say but I don’t think it will do it justice. I am going to do my best. I loved this book. It was fun and different. He’s a single dad that wanted an out of his MC for multiple reasons. First and foremost...kids. Jimmy is an amazing man and father. His wife left him when his little boy was young. His daughter grew up without a mother and she misses her. Ramsey is an accountant and loves numbers and has two things on her mind. Get a job to pay for essentials and be with her mom for the next year since that’s all she was given with her cancer diagnosis. She wants her mom to be as happy as she can while she can. She is fun, classy, sassy, has a huge heart, and has a backbone. She won’t let anyone walk on her and I LOVED that.

Ramsey’s mother just wants her to be happy. She wants her set so when she passes she knows she has found love in life. After her interview where she doesn't get the job Jimmy didn't even interview her. When you read it you will know, so she goes to drown her sorrows in a local bar. That's where we meet Theo. He’s Jimmy’s dad and he owns the dive bar that Ramsey happens into. He has his own story to tell.

Oh gosh!! I love all these people. They are amazing. They are kind and generous and would give you the shirt off their back. Jasmine and Sammy are awesome little kids. They will make you smile and feel their heartbreak as well. Ramsey is everything they need. I loved Jameson as well. He was a great friend to Jimmy. Then you have Laney, Ramsey’s bestie.

There is so much going on. There were times I just wanted to jump in and be a part of the book so I could give Jimmy a piece of my mind. Make him see what was there and what wasn’t. He needed better communication skills. Ramsey is what I would call the perfect heroine in a book. No, she isn’t perfect but she was perfect for them. She loved them all with her whole heart even when she can’t admit it, and no matter what happens those two kids were her priority other than her mother. The bond that she and Jasmine for makes your heart melt.

There is so much passion and hotness between Ramsey and Jimmy. The sparks fly like crazy. Even from the first moment, they lay eyes on each other. Even when Ramsey yells at him about cutting her off. The drama starts quick with the push and pull but it isn’t overly done. Feelings of guilt and the past comes back with a vengeance. I was so happy to read a book that has a great beginning middle and end. You are invested from the from the first the word until the last. It has everything you need in a great read. It just simply sucks you in. There are some vile people but you need them. Well not really but yes you kind of so. I was always waiting for it to come to fruition. When it does it plays out a bit differently. Communication people or lack thereof sets them on a different path.

Join Ramsey and Jimmy along with their friends and family and see if they can move through the hurdles of the past and scary future and see if they have what it takes to survive. It is a good, engrossing, long read which was amazing by the way. It didn’t feel long I wanted more of them. I am waiting now not so patiently for the next installment of Jackson. I hope you all have as much fun reading this as I did.

A tale about what makes a family and a home

Wow, this was an impressive debut novel. It put me through the grinder emotionally at times.

This book is about Ramsey, a financial manager who loses her job, due to restructuring, at the same time her mother is diagnosed with terminal cancer. She decides to move back to the small town where her mother lives to spend as much time with her as possible. Finding work that uses her degree and experience has not been easy, but she finally thinks she has found a great job to interview for.

The interview is for an accountant and PA for a bar/restaurant with Jimmy, and ex-mc member, who got out to take care of his two children when their mother walked out on them. Jimmy does not give Ramsey the job, because due to a driving incident she lets rip when they meet.

Their relationship is a series of misunderstandings, poor timing and lack of communication. Underneath it all though, is a real depth of feeling for each other and a determination to try and make it work, especially when Jimmy’s kids, Jasmine and Sammy fall head over heels for Ramsey and vice versa.

This book has emotions flying everywhere, what with Ramsey’s mother being terminally ill and Jimmy’s issues with being left by his ex-wife. There are also the kids feelings and Jimmy’s Dad who lost his wife a few years prior to cancer and sees Ramsey almost as a daughter when she comes to work for him. Then we have Jimmy and Ramsey’s best friends who somehow end up having an equally complicated relationship. Apparently that relationship is dealt with properly in a future book.

Add into an already complicated situation, the MC Jimmy and his father both used to belong to, trying to draw Jimmy back in and emotions run high and life becomes dangerous.

I really enjoyed the book and the characters were great, well rounded and believable, though at several points I wanted to smack Jimmy around the head for being such an blind idiot and Ramsey’s best friend, Lacey, for being a little crazy and self-centred at times.

Because there was so much going on and so many issues to resolve, as thoroughly as this author did, the book was quite lengthy. I felt like the author complicated it a bit for herself by having so many issues to resolve, but I don’t know how it could have been streamlined and kept the essence of the characters she wrote intact. It’s a fine line to walk and I don’t know how I would have done it better, but an editor might have helped make things less complicated than it needed to be.

I think this is a very strong first book and I’ll be interested to see what comes next.

Glimmer is this authors debut book and she did it well. I loved the dynamic between Ramsey and Jimmy. They were characters with depth and heart. Struggling with real life issues in a way.

Ramsey is back home taking care of her ailing mother. All she wants to do is soak up these last moments with her but she is forced to seek employment. An encounter on a highway, an altercation in a parking lot with the offensive driver and a taser spark (no pun intended) a bumpy relationship between Ramsey and Jimmy her new boss.

Jimmy is taking a sabbatical from his not so legal past. He is just trying to live every day to its fullest with his children and his father. His abandonment issues run very deep, so he keeps women at arm’s length except when it comes to Ramsey. She makes him feel that maybe just maybe he has found his glimmer. Then his past meets his present and he thinks he may never have a chance with her.

I will admit it took me a bit to finish this book. I really didn’t like how wishy washy Ramsey was how in a sense to me she toyed with Jimmys feelings. I know she had a reason and I fully understand that but she kind of bothered me. Jimmy wasn’t any better but he had serious reasons to keep her length. His kids were so cute and so was Theo. I cheered on Mrs. Carla the whole book. All in all It was a good debut.

Glimmer was a hard book for me to write a review for because I believe that the talented Ashley Munoz has a great career in front of her, but then there's a few things that drove me mad. The story centers around Ramsey, a take no crap kind of awesome woman, and Jimmy, the single father with a ton of demons. They have serious chemistry, though it was a slow burn kind of story that had me ready to pull my hair out more than once. See Jimmy really needed to learn how to communicate better, as he made for a great deal of problems because of that issue, so I wanted to shake him until teeth rattled to be honest. However, his kids & father really stole the show in my opinion, as they made up a lot of the cast of secondaries, with Ramsey's bestie & mother making up more of the entertainment. Then there's that whole MC issue which gave the story some f-bomb worthy twists, not to mention it added some angst as well. Finally, even with the bigger length, the ending felt a bit too rushed in my opinion, and please see that it's just MY OPINION. I'm definitely excited to see more by Ms. Munoz, as her debut really was strong despite some of the little things that drove me mad, so I'll end by HIGHLY RECOMMENDING TO ALL!

I would be his glimmer. He would be my life.

I loved this book. I giggled, swooned, cried (alot), and got angry. Overall, it was a fantastic slow burn romance with down to earth characters that you will fall in love with. Jimmy and Ramsey are perfect for each other. The glimmer between the two shines bright even if Ramsey can't see it yet. The push and pull between them felt real and I wanted more. The drama and upsets were spot on even with a slight touch of darkness.

I also loved little Jasmine and Sammy. They were so adorable.

I hope to get more of Ramsey and Jimmy when I read Laney and Jackson's story. I also hope there are more books in the future with all the characters. I want well wishes for Carla and to see Jasmine and Sammy grow up.

BTW, this is my first book by this author and she hit it out of the ballpark. It did not disappoint and will absoutely read others.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Glimmer is the debut novel for Ashley Munoz. This was an interesting read, and I liked the storyline. I must admit, it was slow at first to follow—but once I kept reading, I was able to adhere to the story. The characters described are so believable that you will find yourself falling in love with—or not. This is an engaging story that will keep you engrossed and glued to the pages of this storyline. Ramsey’s life seemed to be turning upside down—with her mother’s illness and she was phased out of her last job. Jimmy was very handsome, and the owner of a bar. He has abandonment issues since his wife left him and the kids, but he was a great father to his kids. I loved the character of Leo, who reminded Ramsey of her father. When Ramsey met Jimmy, they had issues because of Jimmy’s past and abandonment problems. Jimmy also had relationships problems—and he had good reasons to be perplexing and complicated. This storyline has a lot of possibilities, but it was enjoyable. I think this story may pique an interest.

Slo-oooo-oow burn

First off, I need to mention that I really like this author's writing. The story is told in Dual POV, and if I could write a review in "slo-mo" then this would be the place for it. I thought the dialogue and feelings were realistic and relatable. I loved Jimmy for being a good Dad and for putting his kids first. Ramsey started out as a firecracker, but she fizzled out a bit. I guess that happens when you have a lot going on in your life. There were times I loved Jimmy, but for the most part, I felt he was too wishy washy throughout the book. He gave me whiplash with how much he changed his mind. I loved the kids the best out of all the characters. I felt the main thematic conflict could have had more depth and meat to it. It seemed to "just happen" without much segue or build up, and then it was over. This author shows lots of promise and I look forward reading her words when it's time for Laney's story.

Jimmy and Ramsey have a rocky start to knowing each other with Jimmy not hiring her, then firing her from his dad’s bar, but Jimmy had a feeling about her he couldn’t shake, sand with all the signs that she was special, he knew he shouldn’t have treated her the way he did and needed to fix it.
When Jimmy arrives home and she see him as the good looking hot single dad she knew she had to apologise to him. They both try to apologise and agree to start over again.
Jimmy realises that he’s got problems, The Brass wants to see him after five years, as much as he doesn’t want to see them, he knows he has no choice.
Their falling for each other fast but denying it, but with both her mother, Jimmy’s dad and his kids have other ideas and set about being matchmakers, they get a subtle push. With the MC meeting, and miscommunications, will Jimmy find someone that can be his glimmer with a love like his mother.

I loved this book. A girl who is dealing with an emotional struggle with her mom being sick, while having to pull herself together and be strong FOR her mom. Meanwhile she meets this guy who she absolutely hates at first, "Jimmy the Jerk," but slowly finds herself drawn to him. A sexy, tattooed, former biker club member.
Jimmy breaks down that stereotype as the "hardcore biker". He's a father of two beautiful kids and isn't afraid to show his emotions.
Their connection grows from there. Their heat is both frustrating and inviting. You want to shake Ramsey half the time but then blush whenever they flirt or gets flustered over each other.
There is some suspense that happens between the old MC and I won't spoil that for you, but it's a story that hooks you and keeps you reading. I'm glad I found this Author and look forward to more of her books.
Also the ending, was a perfect way to conclude their story.

Slow Burn romance at its best.

I wasn’t 100% sure what I was getting with this book because I am not a big MC fan but I read this book was “clean” so I was intrigued. Plus I saw single father so I was all in from that alone. I ended up really loving this book. This is slow burn at its best. I was so invested in this book, it’s characters and the storyline. As a huge slow burn fan, this was a dream for me.

Again I was worried about the MC part because there tends to be violence and that’s not my thing. And there is a pretty traumatic assault (trigger warning) for one of the characters but it was one event and the story is not riddled with violence. So I was able to enjoy a hot AF Ex-MC hero without having to deal with what I know typically comes with it.

This book is about family and love. I’m definitely going to be reading the rest of this series when I get a chance.

For a first book by this author she really did wonderful. I love the characters and how you slowly learn their quirks while they are learning about each other. ABSOLUTELY love Jasmine and Sammy and how much of a soft spot Theo has for Ramsey who has been without her father for so long. Their love has truly been tried through out the book between her mother’s illness, insecurities, violence, and so much more. Ramsey is way more vulnerable then she lets on at the beginning of the book from having lost her job, her cheating ex, and her mother’s future being so uncertain. Seeing the characters develop, mature, grow comfortable in their own skins as well as their relationships with others was a true journey. Looking forward to the second book in the series.
