Sweet on Her is Part One of the Lakeview Prep Duet. A steamy Opposites Attract / Insta-Love High School Romance about a sassy outcast that hates the status quo and the all-American boy that can't get enough of her.
Cat When I was placed in my latest foster home I was sure it was a mistake. After 9 terrible homes in 8 years I suddenly find myself surrounded in wealth, privilege, plastic, and pretty lies. I don't fit in with their designer clothes, and cakey Instagram makeup to hide their ugly insides, and I have no intention of changing that. My only goal is to capitalize on the prestige of graduating from Lakeview Prep so I can snag myself a scholarship. Then I can attend college, and finally start my life on my terms. Alone. But when I ram face-first into a sculpted God on my first day of school, all of my carefully laid plans are at odds with sea-green eyes that follow me everywhere. He's too rich, too popular, too friendly, and way too hot. I don't trust it. If he thinks I can be distracted by the oldest tricks in the book, he has another thing coming. Move along pretty boy...
Noah I've never asked a girl out. Never had to. I'm the Quarterback, rich, handsome, smart. The girls at Lakeview Prep flock to me and the guys secretly hate me for it. It's senior year, I'm at the top of my game and opportunities are being handed out to me like candy. Honestly, it's ridiculous, I'm so tired of the vapid social-climbing girls and semi-friendships. Then she arrives, all curves, wild curls, and glowing skin and I can think of nothing else but her. She makes me realize that the life I have become accustomed to is all fake and I begin to wish for something real. She's hesitant, distant, smart, sassy, strong, and so freaking beautiful. She's different...
She can try to resist me, but I'm sweet on her. And sooner or later, she will be mine.

This is an incredibly sweet opposites attract romance. It’s a feel good novel, with few obstacles thrown into the characters’ path to a happy ever after. From the moment Noah, the star quarterback, sees the new girl in school, he’s smitten. Cat is a foster kid who’s been taken in by a wealthy family. She’s very distrustful at first, but it quickly becomes clear that this new family is different from the ones that came before. <3 While this book is primarily a romance, it’s very sweet and wholesome with Cat’s foster family dynamics. I thought for sure I was reading a YA book, but it gets very spicy. 👀🔥 All in all, a great read!
# YA # Light om drama # Light bullying from a mean cheerleader # Hero: jock and very sweet to the heroine with horrible, prejudiced parents # Heroine: New foster kid to loving parents who are super supportive/ curvy Hispanic beauty

Even though slow burns are my favorite, I didn’t mind the insta-love in this. But maybe that was because the author included the fact that this would be an insta-love in the book description and I mentally prepared myself.
What I did mind was the comparison to the other women in the novel when the author was highlighting the specialness of Cat, especially considering this book was recently published.
Noah isn't specifically comparing her to other women here but it is implied:
“She’s real. She never eats the salad, only real food, and she digs into her tacos without finesse today. It’s working for her.”
Maybe I am being too much of a hater, but just because someone doesn’t eat salads does not mean they’re superior lol.
I did think Cat and Noah had cute moments though, and if you’re looking for a quick read to take your mind off of things, this is the perfect book for you.

Sweet on Her de Victoria Stevens Serie Lakeview Prep Duet libro 1
Argumento:
Cat
Noah
No puedo evitarlo!
My debut! Thank you all for your love and support of this book. This was a fun escape for me and I honestly never thought I would even publish it. When I decided to move forward, my goal was to reach 10 people, to give them something fun and hopeful and real. To see the way it has exploded beyond my wildest dreams fills my heart with so much gratitude. Cat and Noah will always hold a special place in my heart as they were inspired by my own experiences. So many times, we see these bad boys being changed by sweet heroines, but that wasn't my story. Sometimes, a genuinely good guy can come around and change everything for an unsuspecting, reluctant girl. Sometimes, he refuses to let go of pursuing her and gives her the time she needs to accept his love. Sometimes, he doesn't even realize what a girl with a tough past and a different outlook on life can add to his own. And sometimes, they live happily ever after. Believe me, I know. Happy Reading fellow book nerds! Love - Vic
Just an adorable love story of not only Cat & Noah, but also her & Sabrina friendship. The other guys who make up the No Douchebag Club, and especially The Bennetts her foster family. There’s so much wonderful love in this book. Side Note: I liked that Cat was described as tiny, and gorgeous. It’s nice when the girl isn’t some shrinking Violet. Cat & Noah matched perfectly! Can’t wait for Luca & Sabrina book!!!!!
Cute, fast read. I normally go for bad boys and good girls, this was kind of the opposite, but I loved it. The FMC was actually very unique and interesting, not just “sassy” (aka rude) for no reason.
I TOTALLY WENT INTO THIS WITH EYES SHUT. WITHOUT ANY SPOILERS. and I AM SO HAPPPYYYYYY I DIIIIIIID!!!!!
5 ⭐ -h 5 ⭐-friendships. 4 ⭐- Not that smutty.
🥰🥰I wanna let you know that below casting is not by me , it's by the author , and it's AWESOME!!!!! She has casted EVERY character in this book. I'll be revealing them all in my upcoming reviews of other book in this duet.

🔯The jock here DOES NOT HAVE a stick up his butt.
🔯He is HUMBLE.
🔯HELPFUL.
🔯Most of the books have jocks who are arrogant , who bully the h , and if they don't bully then they are a pushover of sorts .
🔯EVERY character in the book worships the ground he walks on , but the H is NOT AT ALL selfish or anything . He is a millionaire with a big heart.
📑CAT-
I ADVICE YOU TO BE PATIENT WITH HER IN THE STARTING.
🔯OMG I LOVE HER!!!!!!She is just so ............STRONG.
🔯Cat lost her parents when she was 5 and since then she's been shuffled around in foster homes.
🔯When she is placed with the Bennett's , she expects the same old , lusty foster dads , cruel mothers, handsy foster siblings.
🔯But ...........OMG I LOVE HER FOSTER PARENTS.!!!!
😍Amelia Bennet- Foster Mother-
😍Matthew Bennet-Foster dad-
🔯They are just so...........DREAM PARENTS . And there daughter posy is.........OMG I MELTED!!!!!
🔯I'm not gonna say much because she is an absolute gem , and this review will be very much long otherwise.
🔯I'll just say that she is rude to everyone in the beginning because she has been thru hell , nd has trust issues.
🔯She is insecure and has built a wall around her hear , because in all other foster homes the parents used to be cruel to her, they starved her, so she doesn't expect less from Bennetts.
🔯But don't worry, once she realizes that the BENNETS ARE actually great people , she accepts them .
⏺⏺We all love a good grovel right? well , girl made Noah , WORK FOR IT. She doesn't wanna be stuck with some hot-shot jock who chases pussy , but she doesn't realize that Noah is NOT THAT KINDA guy and he NEVER chases pussy. Whatever, but , she did NOT give into the attraction and i REALLY freaking loved that.
⏺⏺She is kind and helpful and stood up to whoever bullied her bestie Sabrina(h in Book#2).
🧁🧁I loved the friendships and parental love shown in this book.
✅h-Virgin. ✅H-Not virgin. ✅Both 18. ✅Hs sexual history never mentioned , but he RARELY hooks-up , and whenever he does , its not with girls from the high-school he goes to. They are usually random encounters.
✅OM drama? Devin , another jock tries to flirt and touch h SEVERAL times, Noah knocks the day-light out of him.
✅OW drama? 2 cheerleaders CONSTANTLY bullied the h and FLIRTED with the H , the H put them in there place(he has NEVER slept with any of the groupies) . The h knocked them off with her words-
“I guess it’s hard to know where to go when you’re always where you don’t belong.” She says a little lower. Ah, I see what’s going on now. This is a rich people version of a warning. “You better watch it, Becca.” I retort. “Jealousy looks ugly on you. Just like that hideous fucking skirt.” I say nodding towards her tight, sparkly baby-pink mini-skirt. It matches her lipstick that is overlined in an attempt to make her fake lips look even bigger. I’m sure the skirt is as expensive as it is ugly, but it all just makes her look like a Barbie knock off that’s trying too fucking hard. “Fuck you, go back to the East Side with your druggy parents, whore.” “Nah, I think I’m good right here, so get comfortable bitch.” I respond not letting her pretentious insults bother me. Her dark eyes bore into me and I wonder if I’m about to have to give this girl a peek at my “East Side” when a voice cuts in. “Do we have a problem girls?” Ms. G steps toward us from the emptying hall way. The minions scatter quickly as Becca and I turn to face Ms. G. “Of course not, Ms. G. Just a little accident. It was a misunderstanding.” Becca defends quickly knowing I’m still dripping. The second bell rings. Great, this bitch made me tardy. “Uh huh.” Ms. G answers skeptically while surveying the scene. “You know the rules, Becca. No open containers in the hallway. Go grab some paper towels and clean this mess up.” She tells her and Becca’s eyes widen at the prospect of manual labor incredulously. “But I’m already late, Ms. G!” She argues. “Well, you better hurry before you miss anything important with your extended tardiness.” She responds evenly. Becca storms toward the girl’s bathroom huffing and Ms. G stands to wait for her to return, rolling her eyes in exasperation
✅The smut- I would have preferred a couple more scenes , considering the fact that this was....25o pages book. CONDOMS USED IN EVERY INTIMATE SEEN. MADE THE SCENE DULL.I DONT ACTUALLY REMEMBER THE LAST BOOK WHERE MCs used protection. 🤔 ✅No-cheating. No intimacy with OP. ✅Parental ignorance on Hs side. ✅Death off-page of hs mother. ✅HEA. ✅Epilogue-unsatisfactory. they just graduate and move in together. He proposes

This story of Cat and Noah was so sweet with a side of steamy 🔥🔥🔥
I loved how protective Noah became Over Cat. He was her knight in shiny armour and she gave him the love he was looking for that he never got from his family or fake friends. This was such a good read and I love that there is a follow up with Sabrina and Lucas story!!!
Sweet high school love story between Cat and Noah. They meet when she fosters with a family in his area. Not a lot of drama, more like boy meets hot girl and falls hard.
It was good. Very predictable, but nevertheless, good.
I am kind of over reading stories of the wealthy, star, misunderstood quarterback whose family is never around and doesn't approve of his partner. It is SO overdone. Even if a few things were changed; maybe Noah could be a different position or maybe he could have parents who slightly cared. But there are just SO MANY books where this amazing quarterback is always left home alone for him to hook up with whoever he wants.
I did like Cat's story. The new to school trope is used but she had something different going on, which was a breath of fresh air. I will say, I would have liked more about her life and how she integrated into the family as time progressed.
Overall, I think the story went really fast. I do like a sudden romance story but everything happened very quickly. It would have been nice to see how their relationship progressed over a few months, with the other trials and tribulations of high school. There was an epilogue, but it didn't really seem like it was that much later. I also would have liked to see if Noah did get into the school he wanted without his parents house or if Cat got the scholarship she was hoping for.
It was a VERY simple story. There really was no conflict. Sure there was a slight issue at the end at the party, but there really wasn't a climax or resolution that made the story super deep. It did make it just a nice easy read (I read it in two days), but I just would have liked more emotion or just something else to happen.
Sabrina and Luca are interesting to me. I will read their story at some point but I will probably find something with a bit more substance for my next read.
I enjoyed this story though I thought it was a bit stereotypically over the top. The main female character, Cat is a foster kid who’s been bounced from house to house since she was 10. She comes on strong but, deep inside, she longs for love and acceptance. She’s a couple months from turning 18 and is being fostered her senior year by a well-off couple. They have a young daughter but are unable to have more children. Yearning to expand their family, they want to give Cat opportunities she’s never had. Cat, having experienced the “system” for a while now, is suspicious of their intentions and slow to trust. Starting at a new school her senior year isn’t a big deal to Cat but being thrust into a ritzy, high end school is. Determined not to be intimidated, she gives off a major “tough chick” vibe. This intrigues all the guys, especially since she’s new and very pretty. Right away, Cat catches the attention of the main male character, Noah. He’s the QB and most popular guy in the school. Surprisingly, he’s not a douche like Cat expected but she has no intention of getting involved. Her plan is to graduate and get into college. Period. Of course, her plan doesn’t quite work out that way though she resists with determination. Noah has his own issues but falls head over heels. He slowly wins Cat over with his caring and sweet personality and, though there are hurdles in his way, he won’t take no for an answer. Noah is a wonderful character, as are his best friends and they really added a lot to the story. In fact, most of the secondary characters are what make the book. They are so warm and accepting of Cat that you can’t help but love them. This is a sweet, heart-warming story with a lot of spice, of a tough girl who learns to open up and finds, not only romance but a family and great friends.
I wish someone was sweet on me like that 🤤🥹♥️ Cat has had a rough start to life. Her mother died when she was 5 and after that her dad wasn’t mush of a dad. She went to live with her grandma but soon after, she died too. With her dad dead of an overdose, she is then put into foster care. After some very rough homes, Cat lands in the home of the Bennett’s. At first she thinks it’s too good to be true. No kind, loving, wealthy family could want her. But then she gets to know them and their daughter, Posey. She starts to see that the Bennetts just want to help her thrive and love her. I love that Noah isn’t the “typical” QB. He’s nice and caring and doesn’t care about being rich or being poor. He’s just an all around great guy. I loved watching Cat and Noah open up to each other and get to know one another. They truly are a “real” couple ☺️
With all the intense HS Bully Romances Kindle recommends, this was so very refreshing! It's so feel good with a strings heroine, I want more from this author!
This book was everything I didn't know I wanted. The story with the Foster parents and sister was Perfection!
I will definitely read more from this author as so far this is the type of read that actually brightens your day.
Listened with Kindle Unlimited. This story wasn't drawn out it actually left me wanting more. Lately I can't wait to a book gets to the point. This one I wanted to last longer. I want to see them older, married and thriving.
Finally a super cute sweet but spicy high school romance without the MMC bullying or being confused by his feelings. Noah knows what he wants and goes for it with patience and understanding. It is a pretty fast paced almost insta love romance. Minimal drama, just some juvenile comments from a couple of peers. The HEA is pretty open for you to decide more but you can see Cat and Noah being together forever. It would be super neat to see a follow up story of them in college or in later yrs too.
Super sweet isn’t my usual trope. Actually, I avoid it at all costs. However, this story just hits different, in an amazing way. I love the characters. I love how obsessively and unashamedly in love Noah becomes with Cat. I love that she finally finds her happily ever after, after a life of loss. Thank you for sharing.
I really enjoyed this book. I am now in my thirties, but I wish there had been more YA romance like this when I was 18. It portrays realistic situations which is refreshing. I did find some situation overly sweet, to my own personal taste. An overall nice read though. I was invested to see Cat have her happy ending, family and romantically wise. And I adore the perfect cast at the end!
Meh. This story was okay. The steamy parts were fun, but I didn't have a real emotional connection to the characters. The plot wasn't good. There was no big conflict the couple had to overcome and if there were obstacles, they were quickly and conveniently solved just like that.
This was such a cute little high school romance. I really enjoyed the character dynamic between all of them. But it is just a very simple cutesy high school love story. It’s very well written
This was a sweet high school story that was easy to read and that I could not put down. I loved that Cat was a foster kid and had her own style. It was a good story- I recommend it!
This was a really cute book. It was also extremely cringe worthy and corny. I hope I wasn’t that awkward in highschool. The main characters are cute. There wasn’t much development from them but it was worth a quick cute read.
I loved it, the sweetness and positivity. It’s well written, with a beautiful storyline. Loved the journey Cat takes, her reservations and the poor kid/rich kid vibes. Hot steamy scenes. Overall a lovely book
kinda drama free book, short and somewhat sweet. MMC kept saying mine constantly and was in love w her after 6 period on her first day, kinda weird but he didn't turned put Tobe a douche so that's good i guess. debating between 2 or 3 stars.
