1 star… DNF 50% Ugh. I really wanted to like this. I liked the idea of this series and I was hoping for a strong start from what seems like the leader of the group and Andy seems cute but this just wasn’t for me. Personally the writing felt off? Usually with this kind of story you would just do duel POV but instead it was third person omnipotent which was fine but made it a bit confusing at times. This isn’t always how third person is but I often was getting confused who the book was talking about.
This book is also very short and yet I found myself dragging through this, skimming, and just avoiding it all together which I’d usually fly through a book this small in just a few hours. Lastly I just found this so odd… it felt insta lovey with how fast they were moving. We didn’t see Caleb begin liking him. We didn’t see them even flirt. All we saw was Caleb being a “hero” and then they start having sex and dating? Huh?! Which would be fine if I didn’t think that would be fine I guess it it seemed like at some point they would actually get to know each other but I don’t think that’s going to happen. I think this book is more about Caleb being a “bad ass” than romance. Not for me.
1/5 on spice. 1/5 on kink. 1/5 on tears. Disappointing
This story is shorter with not quite instalove. Caleb and Andy have been tiptoeing around each other while attending pre wedding activities of their close friends. Andy has a stalker that will stop at nothing to get to him. Fortunately for him Caleb may know a thing or two to help him. A steamy shorter story with lots of steamy times a bit of action and HEA for Caleb and Andy. What happens at Fight Inc stays at Fight inc. Great start to the series.
I liked the book well enough but I wasn't happy with the death of a secondary character. I think the story would have been better if they had kept this character alive.
The author likes to tortured me by making one of the character lost his loved one that thing totally devastating and what a stupid and reckless decision by Austin lead him to his downfall and once again the author let the abused to happened and Caleb was late to undo the damage. I just hate when the MC going through traumatic and horrible things, just let them to be happy without adding bad shit to their life or is it too much to ask?
