We were just normal teenagers trying to survive high school and dreaming about our future.
I was a jock, a wrestler, he was a nerd. We had nothing but a video game in common, but I would do anything for him. I fought his battles for him, and I never regretted it.
Then we found out about a virus outbreak, he learned he was adopted and connected to it somehow, then suddenly he was asking me to run away with him on a road trip. He was looking for answers and once again I was willing to do anything for him, no matter the cost, so we took off for California and it turned into an epic adventure and we became soldiers fighting a war to save humanity.

This was my first read from this author. I think they have good potential as a writer. I was a bit confused as the epilogue was more of another chapter.
