"THE FREQUENCY starts with a wink toward THE WIZARD OF OZ, and quickly goes down the rabbit hole of THE MATRIX or MISTER ROBOT. A darkly conspiratorial reimagining of just what this climate change really means." -- Actress Jen Ponton, DIETLAND

Weather machines are causing really bad weather in the upper Midwest, and the military is moving in. A girl finds her pot smoking genius cousin in a local radio station. He knows all the conspiracies, and they are real. They try to get to some safety, but the black helicopters are after them.
This novella, or maybe a very long short story, has a good premise and characters you care about but after a big reveal just ends. There’s every indication that the story will continue, but it seems to be just getting started, that what we have here is a prelude to a more complete story. After her home and her hometown are wiped out by a monster storm and her parents are killed, Emily sets out to find her grandmother and uncovers a conspiracy. So, it’s intriguing and I enjoyed it, as long as it.
A tornado destroys 18-year-old Emily's family farm, leaving her orphaned and homeless. As she and her cousin make their way to her grandmother's house, they find that the military seems to be much too prepared to deal with the fallout. Was it a "natural" disaster...or is the government secretly manipulating the weather? This is the first in a suspenseful new series. I'm looking forward to the sequel. I received this book for free and voluntarily left a review.

The book is full of improbable, unbelievable threads. From a teenager who tucks her feelings away to a weather conspiracy that will have conspiracy theorists claiming this is non-fiction, the book delivers something for everyone.
It was a very quick read and, although I didn't think the things that happen in the book are plausible, it is quite fun. I want to give it 3-1/2 stars but can't.
An interesting take on controlling the population with drugs and the weather with machines. The weather, unfortunately, is not made pleasant - it's made dangerous. The story seems a little disjointed at times, but it is a short read. It ends with a cliff hanger, so no ending. I won this from Goodreads.
An intriguing novella exploring the possibility of “the government “ running all kinds of experiments on unsuspecting citizens. Emily and Raimi plan to jump headfirst into the opposition group they discovered, not knowing what was coming next.
I think this was an amazing beginning to a book. I read through it quite quickly and enjoyed the conspiracies. It had me trying to figure out what was going on the whole time. I really hope the next book covers more and doesn't leave me feeling so empty at the end.
A scary idea that the weather can be controlled for the damage and destruction of the human race. Emily has ran from her home, where her parents have been killed by a storm. She has gone to her cousin, who is an MIT expert and is being chased by ‘men in black’. She gets to her grandmother to find out that her grandfather is not dead, and both her grandparents are specialists in the world of control.
