Healing Hearts #17

Remember Forgiveness

Rate this book
Jealous of a fairytale…

Matt Lawson knew there was no Happily Ever After. He had seen happiness die several times over the last few years, always leaving a trail of tears from the pain left behind. There was no magic wand, no princess in another castle… but an unexpected plea caught him completely off guard.

Discovering a prince…

Lucia Campbell was envious of the sudden group of teachers at the school she worked at getting married recently. After being abandoned by her husband, she certainly wasn’t looking for love. She just wanted someone to vent to, someone to talk to, and a noble role model for her son to admire… safely from a distance!

Can our bold warrior win the heart of a damsel who’s not in distress… but can’t live without him?

*** These standalone sweet, clean romances follow a team of soldiers that were once stationed in Afghanistan, bound by friendship. They can be read alone but if you read them together, their stories are so much richer.

Two wounded souls. Lucia's husband was a jerk, and she was glad to be rid of him! However, she never wanted to risk her heart again. She had her precious son to protect and take care of. But so many of her teacher co-workers have found love and it's hard to be around them all the time. She wished she had found that fairytale the first time around! Matt Lawson has seen so much heartache in his family recently. He doesn't know if he can risk his heart on the chance that that could happen to him too. When a woman and her son begin to write to him as pen-pals, thinking he's a superhero because he's in the military, might he take a chance on them? I fell in love with Matt instantly! What a special man he was! Little Mateo, Lucia's son was as sweet as they come! I could scoop him up and take him home with me! Will they become a family and heal past hurts? Only time will tell!

Sweet, contemporary, military romance

Romance, sweet, contemporary, military novella; series but stand alone read
Matt and Lucia’s story was another pen pal friendship that turned into something more. Loved all the packages and letters, and each of their back stories. I can’t say I’m a huge fan of the character weddings, but still a sweet romance, and they were great for each other.

Pen pal results

Once again Lily sets up a pen pal match with one of her teacher friends. Even though she isnt ready for a relationship its for her son to write to the soldier. Matt knows he needs something and maybe this pen pal thing might help morale. Little do they realize things will progress. This new addition to the healing hearts series is a fun and funny read.

This is the first book of the series that I did not rate 5 stars. The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 is because of the crude word used between the men. This word did Nothing to make the story better, it just cheapened the read. I'm very disappointed because this is supposed to be clean and wholesome. I have bought many of your books and was surprised.

So, so SWEET

As cheesy as it may be to say a sweet romance is just so, so sweet ... it fits perfectly here! I am immensely enjoying the quick, HEAs that make up Ginny Sterling's Healing Hearts series. I would highly recommend them, and for the greatest experience, I'd recommend a 29 book binge read!! I think I have 10 to go! Onward!

I think it's great to be pen pals with soldiers overseas especially. They may be having a rough time or feeling down and lonely. It helps morale a lot. This is how Lucia and Matt meets, but it started with Mateo, her son. Loved this story and how the couples meet. HEA.

Great writing!

I loved this one! Matt is so dedicated in all the books, to his cousin and now in his own story! I love Mateo and his art work, and felt bad for him because of the way his real dad treated his mom and him! Great storyline!
