The Belle Fort Wolves #2

Robert’s Alpha

Rate this book
A tragic car accident stole Blake Caldwell’s beloved wife from him and his son. Six years pass. Blake, appointed alpha of a small pack, moves to Montana. He isn’t looking for love, and he certainly doesn’t expect his wolf to go berserk when he comes face to face with Robert.

He’s found his true fated mate… what now?

Robert Sanna has made mistake after mistake, like sleeping with the wife of the man he’s been in love with since he was ten. Robert has learned his lesson messing with fated mates. He’s also learned he’ll never carry on the family name like his parents expect.

They might be fated mates, but Blake’s close-minded pack council resists the mated male pair. Complications arise from a she-wolf who’s set her sights on being the Alpha mate—and on Blake. And Robert’s fears might ruin everything. Can love win? Or will life tear them apart?

About the author

C.K. Noel

You wouldn’t know it to look at him, but C.K. has a love for soul mates, true love, and happily ever after. Of course, he can’t let his characters get their happy ending too easily; they have to suffer first. He’s inspired by day-to-day life and loves transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary in his stories.

Life away from the computer is just as vibrant for C.K. He calls a quaint Florida town home, a stone's throw from the place he grew up. When not weaving tales or reading his favorite authors, you can find him by the pool, not the beach (because, let's face it, sharks are scarier than any paranormal creature he writes about).

He shares his life with a large, lively family and two cats who switch from cuddling to clawing in the blink of an eye. In C.K.'s world, the ordinary meets the extraordinary - both on and off the pages.

Robert & Blake

This is good continuation of this series. I listened to the audiobook and the narration by Aaron Ross makes the story even more entertaining. Robert and Blake have a far from easy start to their mating. We get more information about the trouble that is stirring up. I'm very interested in getting to see what will happen in book three.

I received an ARC and this is my unbiased opinion

**Audiobook Review**

I was really looking forward to this one, and both C.K. Noel and Aaron Ross delivered. I'm starting to worry that my reviews for C.K Noel audiobooks are getting repetitive, but honestly, these books/audiobooks are consistently well-developed, well-narrated, and completely enjoyable. I received a complimentary copy of this audiobook, and this is my honest review.

So, after listening/reading 10 of C.K.'s books, I'm starting to conclude that (generally speaking) shifter parents are not great. I say that jokingly, but many of the main characters have dealt with high expectations, bigotry, and abuse from one or both parents. This theme continues in Robert's Alpha, as Robert is faced with the choice of following his heart and claiming his mate or satisfying his parents overbearing expectations. That said, readers also see an amazing example of parenting in Blake's father, so obviously not all shifter parents are duds.

I really loved this story; I think Blake may now have the top spot as my favorite C.K. Noel character. I'm also a sucker for a redemption story and seeing/hearing Robert grow from his mistakes and find his happy ending made me happy.

Aaron Ross once again provides a seamless performance. Every time I start a new C.K. Noel audiobook, I am continuously impressed with the new voices/tones that Aaron Ross uses to bring the characters to life. I truly enjoyed listening to Robert and Blake's story, and I will now wait (impatiently) for the next audiobook in the Belle Fort Wolves series.

Robert is a wolf shifter, who did a horrible thing to his childhood friend whom he's loved since they were kids. One avoidable mistake after another. All to win the heart of the man that he ultimately alienated. Now left to navigate his misery alone, he meets his fated mate and bolts.

Blake is alpha pack leader and a single parent. His wife died many years ago and he didn't expect to run into his fated mate - A man. Not only was he trying to get his mate to reach out to him, his wolf was growing impatient.

Just when Blake and Robert connected, other issues arose. Seems others were interested in wielding the power of the pack - using an old pack law regarding male/male pairings as a reason to challenge Blake for the pack alpha role. Setting traps on various pack lands to ensnare the shifters and going after Blake's young son to use as bait.

Amidst all the drama; Zach and Robert were able to repair their friendship and mend fences with his close-minded parents. Since his brother's death, they've been trying to mate him with a female, so he could carry on the family line.

Compelling, entertaining, and steamy. I thoroughly enjoyed Blake's son, Jamie and his father, Nathan.

**I received this ARC via Gay Romance Reviews for my honest feedback.**

This is the second book in the Belle Forte Wolves series and it follows on shortly after the events of the first book but with the focus on a new couple.

Blake is the newly appointed Alpha of the Tyler pack and when helping Tommy and Zach - the couple from book one in the series - he found his fated mate in Robert. During the first book I really did not like Robert and I had my concerns about the second book because of that. The fact that we got to find out more about Robert and his past and background led to me softening towards him and I found I was actually rooting for him and Blake to get their happy ending.

I like how there is an underlying storyline as well as the ones for the individual couples and I am intrigued to discover the answer as to what is going on. I also like how well the characters are written and I am looking forward to the next book in this series.

Fated mates, wolves, and hunters threatening the packs in Tyler and Belle Forte. Robert was pretty stupid in the first book. He made some bad mistakes and almost destroyed his friendship with Zach in the process. Now he has met his own fated mate in Blake, the alpha of the Tyler pack. Blake has to just convince the other man that he is worth it and hope that he can also love Blake’s son Jamie. Together they have to figure out what is going on with the hunters and stop the threat to their way of life. These characters are quickly engaging and I am going to have to read all of these books as they are published. I admit to being hooked. I am a huge fan of the paranormal genre and am always on the lookout for a new to me author to read.

Robert's Alpha had plenty of drama and chaos, which I like. It was interesting to see the kind, sweet side of Robert that was alluded to, but not apparent in the first book in the series. I was happy that he found his fated mate. Blake is a wonderful, caring alpha, and his son Jamie is adorable.

This book didn't flow for me as well as the previous book did. However, I really liked it and wanted to be able to give it 5 stars, but the errors and typos disrupted the story for me - which is probably part of the reason that makes me feel it didn't flow so well.

It was nice to see characters from the previous book. I like when I can peek in on characters I know and love and see what they are up to. I'm still enjoying this series and ready to dive into the third book.

Good followup story! Blake, is a single parent widower and Alpha of the pack. Robert, almost ruined a fated mate pair in the mistaken idea he was in love. Robert, is in denial over a fated male mate. His traditional parents expect him to mate a woman and produce children. Blake, realizes Robert is his mate. He is overjoyed, and confident in his Alpha status that they will overcome any problems. There are many challenges in their worldview. The hunters are still determined to eliminate the paranormals. Does Robert get a good pack reception? Does Jamie, Blake's son welcome Robert? How will Blake's inner circle feel about Robert? Good storyline flow. Great family and support structuer. Good story. I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is the second book from the Belle Fort Wolves series. Robert tried to make his parents happy but fate has sent him a mate and he doesn’t think his parents will approve. Blake is settling in as the new Tyler alpha and is stunned by his fated mate. Obstacles are thrown there way and Robert has a hard time understanding why fate would allow all of the obstacles if they are fated mates. An old friend give him great advice that the obstacles are to make their bond stronger and Robert knows that he and Blake can get through anything together. Great characters and an interesting storyline makes this a very good read.

I received an advanced copy of this book and this is my honest review.

I found the characters to be well developed especially the development of Robert, In the previous book, he didn't come off very well but felt he redeemed himself in this book. We start right where we left off from Tommy's story! We learn more about why Robert is the way he is, but it still took me a bit to warm up to him. Our Alpha Blake and his son Jamie now them I adored! This is a quick insta fated mate romance with a lot of steam between Blake and Robert! Blake's pact was not supportive, and a challenge has been issued for the Alpha position. I enjoyed there was still lots of growling going on! I received an ARC, and the overarching plot is a bit of a cliff!! I am on to Jasper's story!

Robert has made bad mistakes in the past and has a horrible family life. Blake is an Alpha that lost his wife and chosen mate. When Blake meets Robert he realizes that Robert is his fated mate. Blake and Robert must work through a closed mined pack and family to be together. Overall, a really good read! The story was really well written and kept me engaged, the pacing flowed smoothly, highly recommend. I am voluntarily leaving a review form an advanced copy that I received. My reviews are solely based on my thoughts and opinions.

I really did not like Robert in the first book, but he redeemed himself in this one. Blake is an Alpha of a pack, a pack which has some members who don’t approve of m/m matings, even if it’s fated. This causes problems. I was a little disappointed the fight didn't have more description, but overall, I really enjoyed this story. I’m excited to read the others in this series. I really like that there are different couples in each book but a continuing story-line that spreads in several books.

Robert’s Alpha is the second book in the Belle Fort Wolves series. This is Blake the alpha of the Tyler pack and Robert's story. We get a bit of everything in this story drama, chaos, and great characters. C. K. Noel is an amazing author and I look forward to the next book in the series. If you get the audio narration, Aaron Ross does a wonderful job of narrating this series. He makes the change in characters seamlessly. I can't wait to listen to the next book. I would definitely recommend this book and series.

Robert’s Alpha is the second book in the series about wolf shifters and their fated mates. The book follows the story of wolf shifters, Robert and Blake. The book is filled with supernatural creatures, mpreg, great world-building, and good secondary characters as well. The book is short, but an overall good read with some steamy scenes. The book is well written and I couldn't put it down. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Blake and Robert were an interesting pair. Blake who is a widower and trying to learn how to be a pack alpha and Robert who had committed a terrible betrayal of a friend when he was younger. Their road to a relationship isn't easy to begin with but mix that with anti-m/m feelings in the pack and a woman determined to get what she wants in terms of status, power and a mate and this was a very compelling story. I'll definitely be sticking with this series.

Oh my goodness! I’m book one Robert really did not pass the vibe with me until the end and he helped save Tommy’s sister! But now I love him & Blake so much! They are so perfect together & sweet little Jamie! My heart was all over the place reading their story but it was so worth it! This is a new to me without, only the second book I’ve read by them but I’m so glad I started reading this series! Looking forward to Jaspers story next! 😀😀❤️❤️

**Audiobook Review**

I didn't think Robert would be able to redeem himself from the last book but realizing you are wrong does wonders...TOTAL redemption and it was wonderful. Finding his mate in Alpha Blake was the thing he needed for himself and his wolf. A little angsty...not too much that would have you upset but enough to keep this a page turner til the very end. As with the books prior, the narration was great. Very nice HEA.

Although, I can not stand having homophobes in my stories (or human hunters), this was a very intense and compelling read. I loved Blake and his strength as an alpha not to mention his adorable son, Jamie, who had surprises of his own. I did wish that Robert and Blake had more quiet, happy moments together but their bond was strong and they did endure in the end. Excellent.

Robert lived his life on his parents terms and it took him a while, to understand that continuing to live a lie would make him miserable.

Blake was fierce and I loved how he went completely badass when things went downhill.

Another great add to the series. Robert is up next and I was excited to see his redemption. From what we saw of Robert before he has a lot of process and be forgiven for. Blake is my new favorite for sure sexy, strong and loving. Great new characters and exciting plot makes me want to read the next book now.

Im so glad Robert stood up for himself and accepted what he wanted and deserved. Blake and Jamie will make an amazing family for the man who never thought he would be lucky enough for one.
Blake needs a string partner by his side to run the pack and help raise Jamie. I love tje teasers of future books

MM, Shifter, Paranormal, Suspense, Romance. Easy to read page-turner, second in the series and I recommend reading in series order for full understanding and maximum enjoyment as although each book features different main characters the back story follows on. I thoroughly enjoyed reading their story. Guaranteed HEA.

I didn’t read the first book in the series and basically only picked up this one because the blurb was right up my alley.
I would have loved for it to be a bit more angsty, but it was a great read. On the short side but well thought out. Great character building and it didn’t feel rushed which i often find the case with shorter books/stories.

Robert redeems himself. I’m glad he got with his mate. This one was exciting because we got to see the workings of a pack through the eyes of the alpha. And the thing that happened with Jamie was absolutely adorable. It’s fun to see the wolf pack continue to intertwine with the dragons.
