From USA Today best selling authors, Willow Winters and Lauren Landish, comes a sexy and forbidden series of standalone romances.
She thought this was a game. She thought she could walk away. She thought wrong.
I’ve lived a cold, unforgiving life. I’ve seen things, I’ve done things, that would break a man if they didn’t kill him first.
With my past behind me, I have nothing. No way to atone for my sins and nothing to lift me from the depths of despair. And no one to give me the control that I so desperately desire.
Until I saw Lilly and then something inside my cold heart flickered. There’s a sweet innocence about her that steals the breath from my lungs. She brings my darkness to the surface, and what’s more… she craves it just as much as I do.
The danger is what lured her to me. But she didn't realize how intense this would be when she signed that contract.
She thought it was all fantasy and make-believe. I'm not a knight in shining armor. I'm not a hero from a romance novel. I'm the villain.
Willow started writing after having her little girl, Evie, December 2015. All during her pregnancy with Evie she continued to read and she only wanted to read romance. She was reading a book a day — sometimes two.
In January 2016 Willow was staying up late with Evie and just thinking of all these stories. They came to her constantly so she finally sat down and just started writing. She always wanted to do it so she figured, why not? Today Willow cannot be happier for making that decision!
Am surprised this one turned out to be way better than I expected. Possibly the best book in the series. It had an actual plot rather than just smut 🫢 Also, Lilly and Joseph had actual chemistry here despite the initial red flags from Joseph.
I liked the spice in this book, it wasn't too cringe. The build up to romance for once was done right in this series in just a 250+ page book. The epilogue was the sweetest.
I would have rated it higher but Lilly kind of annoyed me with her unprofessionalism concerning her job and with her being so hard on someone who doesn't understand things and is dealing with mental health issues.
Owned: Highest Bidder Series book #3 Lauren Landish & Willow Winters
This is the third book of this series & so far the best in this series…We once again at Club X with our sexy Joseph, who we have known from the being was a mafia man…Or so we think Joseph has wanted Lilly for some time, will his mafia ties interfere with his passion to be with Lilly?
Lilly has this fantasy to be a willing sex slave & starts going to Clue X to see if she can fulfill this fantasy… Lilly is new to the scene, counselor by day. She find herself wanting to experiment more & more in this high pace scene.
I loved how authors show us the other side of Joseph, he not what he seems at first. I liked seeing the other side of him. I also really enjoyed the background on Madam Lynn At times these two seem like night & day, but somehow their chemistry out shine everything else. I love how these two authors mixed reality with fantasy.
This was intense, action packed & exciting read. Hope you enjoy this read & also always keep in mind this is just my opinion **" "*ARC provided by the author for an honest review*"..**

Oh, what a delightful little book this was. Great writing. Interesting characters. Hot sex scenes. Alpha hero. Hold her own heroine. A little angst. A little sweetness. A little drama. All wrapped up in a nice little HEA.
I was really looking forward to checking this book out; but I have to say that I had an extremely hard time trying to emotionally connect to the main characters. I just couldn't become invested in them at all.
The story begins at Club X; where there are Masters and slaves/ Doms and Subs....Lilly is spotted by a man named Joeseph...He is intrigued by her right away and watches her from a far..Joeseph doesn't approach her right away, as he notices she is unsure, and he can't figure out why.. When he finally does go up to her, the sparks fly...and he now wants Lilly as his own, and outside of the club.
Lilly is an author who decides to check out Club X for research for her books. She gets way more than she bargained for when she meets Joeseph..and then she realizes that maybe she is into the things she is witnessing that Club X...she seems to get turned on with her observations.
This is the basic storyline..there is more to it..but truthfully, I just couldn't get into it. Joeseph and Lilly start having sexual contact with each other and they don't even really get to know one another at all..I love a smutty read, but this one just felt empty to me.. I was so hopeful for a great story; but this one just was not my style..
Owned is the third installment of the Highest Bidder series. In it, you will meet Joe and Lilly.
In this, Lilly is new to this whole Club X scene. Yet, she's curious about everything there so she's definitely wanting to try to it. It's been a secret little fantasy of hers to be a sex slave. This fantasy of hers makes her have no hesitations when walking in. While there, she meets Joseph.
Now Joe was mysterious and someone I really wanted to get to know. He was definitely my favorite character out of the whole series (so far). These two had amazing chemistry which is probably why I loved this one so much.
Another thing I liked about this book was getting to know more about Madam Lynn. She's been a character that has me constantly guessing. She's one woman who is very smart and manipulate to these guys (in a good way). She's basically a romance guru getting these couples together. She's awesome in my eyes.
Overall, I loved this book. I can't wait to dive into the next one!!
Oh god was I bored. This honestly sounded right up my alley. Dark romance - check Obsessed hero- check Innocent yet feisty heroine- check What I got instead was a huge bdsm jumbled mess with too many things going on. I couldn't understand the hero's desire to have the safe word and then go through extremes of bdsm. The heroine was a vigilante one second, rescuer of the needy the next and a craving sub another second. I really tried to get into it but blah. The stars are for occasional hot sex scenes Safe read 1.75/5
Book Three: Lilly & Joseph *self-purchased on Amazon. No need of sugar daddies called promo teams*
What’s this book about? (I'm trying to give as little spoilers as possible) Joseph is somewhat of a regular at Club X and when Lilly steps in, she piques his interest. When Lilly signs her contract, it seems to be all fun and games. Soon, Joseph makes her realize that he doesn’t play games. M/s.
I was excited to read book three. I LOVE THE AUTHORS. This is just my honest opinion for book three. I feel bad for having to write this. Joseph was an enigmatic figure in the first two books and I thought he was going to be my favorite out of the four. Unfortunately, the reality after I’ve read the book is a little different. The premise of Lilly was cute. I empathized with her and I related to her. So far, she was the most relatable leading lady for me IN THE FIRST 30-40% and then it went downhill. It felt like she wanted to play in the big game, but she was still wearing her little girl pants. Man up. Seriously. It wasn’t cute to read her naïvely secretive ways. I had a problem with her keeping that ONE secret. When Dahlia kept her secret, I UNDERSTOOD THAT. But Lilly’s secret was SILLY. Her job seemed like her sick grandma. What I mean: you know the books where a girl is a hooker and SWOOSH, here comes the sick grandma that JUSTIFIES why the heroine is a hooker. Here, the job was basically there to provide us with an emotional connection to the leading girl. I totally missed out on that. To me, every time the job story line was mentioned, it just reminded me of how much this leading girl failed at her job. Yeah, this is supposed to be a dark read and in dark reads not everything has a happy ending but still. The build up to the job story line’s ending and the actual ending were weak to me. So. About Joseph. Whilst I don’t mind the whole idea of not paying for a girl, I felt like his first strike was being cheap. Dude. You’re in a HIGHEST BIDDER novel. Bid high. DUH. Then, he turned out to be the most annoying out of the three. Least equipped to deal with what he buys, seemingly unprofessional. I don’t know. I wanted to like Joseph, but he just made mistake after mistake and although I was pissed at Lilly, when she was annoyed about Joseph, I totally agreed with her. Since this isn’t an arc, I can comment on the editing. I read the Highest Bidder collection on KU. IT WAS ATROCIOUS. Commas were all over the place or nowhere if I’m being precise. I remember lots of typos everywhere. I don’t know what happened to this book. At some point, I started to care more about the commas etc than I did about the characters. Sadly, this book didn’t live up to what book one and two created. I continued the series with fourth and final book with Arianna & Zander’s story.
ORIGINAL COMMENT: I wanted to like this like I liked the rest of the series, but I couldn't. Sth was missing. After 50%, I wasn't interested at all.
Another master/slave kink relationship...but like not as intense? but like also still just as intense lol I don’t know. Joseph was hot the entire time, went into this attracted to him, and came out 100 times more. Lilly loved to push his buttons and it made every spice scene so much hotter. I just loved their dynamic and the ending was perfect.
Looking for a naughty little pick me up? Grab the Highest Bidder series by Willow Winters and Lauren Landish to hit the spot. I've enjoyed each book in the series, but Joseph and Lilly are my absolute favorites.
This is a steamy and exciting read! I highly recommend it to fans of BDSM novels, strong alpha-males, and off the charts steamy scenes.
I enjoyed Joseph and Lilly's story there's so much going on, Owned grabbed me from the beginning and didn't let me go to the very end. The only problem I had is when Joseph called Lilly his flower. Other than that 4 star read for me.
1.5⭐️ DNF I don’t know. I just didn’t feel this book. I read 17 chapters and epilogue. I just got bored 🤷♀️ Joseph and Lilly have their happy ending. Glad she wasn’t broke like Katia and Dahilia from previous books.
Owned wasn't at all what I expected. A bdsm read with mafia connections. I enjoyed it, it was exciting and the flow of the whole plot was good.
Lilly comes across as sweet, with a caring nature she helps troubled children Lilly becomes a frequent visitor of Club X, a sex club, she is more curious about what goes on in club X than a partaker, stating that it's research for a book she is writing, an odd combination with her children's work but I went with it.
Joseph is ex mafia trying to break away from the family ties he wants out, he goes to club X. I suppose to forget, to let go, the men wear masks so he can be anyone he wants to be.
When Joseph first see's Lilly he intrigued by her innocence and is drawn to her.
A relationship develops as Master and submissive, not at the club though he propositions her to live in his home for a month.
I loved the Mafia spin on Owned, I'm glad it wasn't just bdsm content and that there was elements of danger when Josephs brother comes to seek revenge for him leaving the family.
A good mixture in the plot giving it the excitement needed to keep you turning the pages.
This one was really good. It focused more on the story than smut and it was another quick but cute read. It was a typical mafia type romance but still good. I also loved that it had a big focus on troubled youth and the kind of help they need. You weren’t expecting that in a romance were you?! I won’t say anymore on that though. I don’t want to ruin it for any potential readers.
Anyways, I did find it kind of cheesy that the main character loved reading and was reading a book by this books author. But otherwise a good read.
A scorching romantic tale that grabs you from the start with the intriguing plot, hidden secrets, gripping suspense, heart-rendering moments, life-threatening incidents, and sensuous passionate romance entices you to keep turning pages until the end. Of course, there is the most wanted happy ever after but there are quite a few hurdles to conquer before it happens.
The story is well written; though this is a romance, it is impressive as the authors have mixed reality and fantasy. Joseph and Lilly are certainly praise-worthy characters; you can visualize how their relationship changes with the vivid scene descriptions that leave you breathless. Lilly does have a bit of sass, Joseph is certainly a SIR; they are perfectly matched. A most entertaining read; if you treasure romance fantasy this is certainly a fabulous book for your collection. {I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy}. Without reservations, I recommend this book.

SMOLDERING PASSION WITH A BIT OF DANGER TOO
A scorching romantic tale that grabs you from the start with the intriguing plot, gut-wrenching moments, gripping suspense, action, life-threatening moments, engaging characters and sensuous burning romance that entices you to keep turning pages until the end. There is a heavenly happy ever after but there are a few hurdles to conquer before it is reached.
Lilly has gone to Club X for personal reasons and she keeps those secrets hidden; Joseph has wanted Lilly for quite awhile. When he knows that Lilly is interested in him he devises a plan for her not to go up for auction. His dark past makes him a bit wicked but when he gets a taste of the precious sassy beauty he never wants to let her go. Unfortunately, his past crashes into his life with a vengeance, which has Lilly rethinking her reasons for being with him. Joseph is catapulted into finding a way to keep her in his live forever.
Fantastically well-written, fast-paced and a most intoxicating read. This story is impressive as the authors have mixed reality with fantasy which ups the emotion level to this story. Lilly makes a fabulous heroine, she is intelligent and has courage. Joseph is quite the alpha and it was awesome to visualize this story. The chemistry between Joseph and Lilly is authentic and is filled with fiery passion and devotion; they do make a great match. I enjoyed this story a most gratifying read; if you treasure romance fantasy this is certainly a terrific book for your collection. {I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy}. Without reservations, I recommend this book.
I've now read all 4 of the books thus far written in the Club X series. This one is a bit darker, more intense than the others. It is very well written and does have a HEA. Boy did it take a lot to get to our HEA!
Joseph, a former head of a mafia crime family left the family and wanted nothing further to do with them, but his brother keeps badgering him to come back and lead them. No deal, he is permanently out of that business.
It's been a while, but he goes back to club X and find himself interested in a neophyte, Lilly. She comes in observes a few scenes and then leaves. Recently she has been going down to the dungeon and observing more intense scenes. Joseph has a brief word with her, then she leaves. She comes back and is really interested in Joseph, but he wants to take her to his home. She fears leaving the protected atmosphere of Club X. Eventually, she put herself up for the monthly auction. Just what Joseph has been waiting for. Of course, he purchases her for a month. They spend time going over her limits, desires, etc. At the end of the month, or before, depending on circumstances, she will receive about a 1/2 million dollars.
Joseph calls her his flower, because of her name, Lilly. The action and romance is flowing in this book. If you would like to continue this series, be aware that this one is more intense and Lilly is just a novice. They both find love together, HEA!
I have really enjoyed this series, and was really looking forward to this book. It was a good book too, but I don't think it was as good as the first two.
I was expecting something darker than this, but I have to say, Joseph was one of the sweetest bad boy sadists I've seen. LOL. The other thing that threw me off was the way it kept switching between present tense and past tense or memories. Other than that though, it was still a really good story. I liked seeing the story behind Joseph, and watching Lilly discover her limits and learn what she liked. It would have been a little more believable if she hadn't been a virgin though.
I'm definitely looking forward to the next book though. I think Zander is going to be a very interesting character. I hope we'll get Madam Lynn's story after that! I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. I really enjoyed Lilly & Joseph's story. It was very...intriguing. I couldn't put it down...
Seductive and eye-opening. Lots of effort into atmosphere and mood. The narrative is detailed. I enjoyed the double POV as it shows the troubled conscience of a man who's lived a dark life, and a good-hearted woman who's curious about expanding her sense of sensuality.
What I liked the most is that the intense sessions at Club X are interwoven with Lilly's struggle to study and work helping underprivileged kids. Both sides start to mingle in unsuspecting ways.
Another thing that I appreciated in the novel is the attetion that is drawn towards experiencing for the first time the subtleties of act and emotion in bdsm, contracts, and the dynamics between master and slave, in this case a jaded and sinful man and a woman who is new to everything in more than one sense.
I was engrossed by the sheer intensity of the emotions in display. There's luxury and whips, a leap of faith in trusting each other, and turbulent feelings of lust, need and betrayal.
In the end, his past sets in motion the ultimate danger that could cost him the only woman who's loved him. So much tragedy and pain for both of them!
I really liked them as a couple, so different yet so in tune with the power of submission. Great read and very human characters. Although it struck me as odd that protection in bed was never mentioned, I have no complaints. The female character has very interesting qualities and a penchant for romantic novels. And the epilogue is fabulous!
When I first started reading, for some reason I thought Joseph was one of the security guys that worked in Club X, but as I started reading more I realised that it was the man who tried to buy Isaac’s slave in the previous book. I was definitely intrigued as I wasn’t quite sure the direction this would go🤷♀️ But suffice to say it was enjoyable story and I liked that Lilly wasn’t a wussy in the sense that she could kick butt and take names if she has to...in other words some backbone😁
I’m looking forward to Zander’s story last as he’s the most mysterious character in this series and I want to know more. I received an advanced copy in the form of the Highest Bidder Collection which I voluntarily leave my honest review😍
I voluntarily reviewed this book. OMG DID I!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
3rd book in the series.. Lily works with troubled children and is working on graduating she is shy and trying to find herself. Lily has been invited to Club X and is trying to find what she likes.
Joseph runs into this gorgeous girl and he automatically feels something for her . There is something about her. He is a a man with a troubled past that he cant get away from..
BTW I SUCK AT THESE THINGS!! LOVE LOVE ALL THESE BOOKS!
lily and joesph are definitely my favourite couple out of this whole series so fair and I couldn’t love them anymore.
I found there wasn’t really any plot I found it was similar to the previous books. meet the girl, bid on the girl, keep her for one month, make her upset think your not good enough for her, leave her but then come back because you can leave without her blah blah blah…
I mean the spice was a fair 🌶️🌶️🌶️ I’d say not as spicy as I’d like it once again but that’s alright.
hoping to head on to the next book to finish this series ❤️

Really enjoyed the beginning of the book but do want to point out it seems like in the editing they took out a few chapters so the timeline jumps. And the italics can make it a smidge confusing between scene play, imaginary fav writing, flashbacks, … Zach’s arc was unneeded. Different writing could have been used to empathize with the fmc
Otherwise I really did enjoy the communication between the two love interests and them bonding ♥️ 💜
This one was a little hard for me to get into at first. I really liked Lilly. I mean, she is into books and has a kinky side, or course I liked her. Joseph, on the other hand, it really didn't sit well with me he was mad about her asking for a safe word. Im glad that he allowed her to have it, AND he respected it in the end, but geez. I also don't feel like their was as much drama in this one.

3.5 🌟 I think this book definitely has something extra to it that the other 2 don’t. A but more of a plot/ storyline. Hopefully they continue to get better. Again a good book filled with smut, so if that is what you are after, then definitely have a read <3
