Poetry. African & African American Studies. Women's Studies. LGBTQIA Studies. California Interest. I'VE TITLED THIS POEM WITH YOUR NAME is a collection of love notes and lovely funerals. It explores queer love and all of its politics, joy, and grief. It is a real and honest peek into queer struggles and happiness.
I really enjoyed Anna Allen's poetry. It felt real, raw, and transparent. It took me to places and spaces needing light, needing attention. This poetry, these words, they opened my eyes to so much and made me want more.
I highly recommend this book. It's riveting and honestly, one of the few books of poetry I really couldn't put down. I had to force myself to stop, from drowning in the emotions. The words are often dark but so real.
