Another one by Jane Doe i really enjoyed. But as much as I loved the story and the emotional and physical growth of the characters (which was great), it does become a little long-winded and because of the nature of the story the start and end feel like two completely different books and it can throw you for a bit of a loop. Even though everything is explained, the drastic changes that feel like they come out of nowhere are a little jarring. But once you adapt you settle back into enjoying a lovely fantasy story.
It was good, but the book went downhill once they jumped into the fae world. Even the first mating scene was weird; it was like the author was like, Nah, I don't want to write the whole thing. I had high hopes, but it felt like she lost her way with her plot.
