Hello and thanks for following my writing journey!
I am a Community Volunteer, Pinterest worthy crafts, and home type of gal, who secretly loves to read down and dirty, alpha male romance books! (shh don't tell the others!) I love all things spooky and can't live without my coffee!
I live in a beautiful small town in New England with my husband, two kids, and our three rescue cats.
It’s a good MC and romantic story. There is love, violence, kidnapping, rape, and bringing people together as a family themes woven into this book. It’s keeps you reading and interested in what will happen next. It’s a full story too, so not a quick read, the history builds for both lead characters. The other brothers and their cool females are present and make the story that much better. This book does not shy away from the reality of violence associated with the cartel and trafficking storylines. The characters are all about saving people who want help. They are a good MC family. I only mention this because other reviewers had said that they have triggers and would like to know these things so they can make a choice. I enjoyed this book and look forward to more, especially Joker’s book. Read On!
Book 5 in this amazing series the Devil's Highwaymen Mc. Lily comes out like a stuck up lawyer. High maintenance at its best. Moose is a single father of two kids ready to tight his baby mama. He needs lily to help him keep his kids safe. But that’s where the lines get blurry. Client or lover.she found her home . Just when everything is perfect they kidnapped her kids. She will call on all her favor to bring them back home. She’s an ex chattel princess. Nothing or nobody will keep her kids away from her. Moose and lily learn that together they can make it work. Together they will bring their kids home.
I couldn't wait for Moose and Lily's story. I knew that the tension between these two would be explosive and Lila Grey did not disappoint! Moose is an amazing man and father always putting his kids above all else. They're safety and happiness is all he cares about and will do anything for them. Lily is a woman with a past that drives her in her passion to help people. Especially women and children at risk. It makes her the perfect person to help Moose do what needs to be done to keep his kids safe and with him. As stubborn as the two of them are you can't help but root for this couple.
I don’t even know where to begin with my review of this book. Lila totally flipped the script with this one. I went into the first part of it thinking I had it figured out and then BAM - whammy! I cried; I laughed; I gasped; I threw my phone. I was all over the place with it. The twists and turns I was NOT expecting. And I left going - I want Moose. Of all the Devil’s Highwaymen I WANT MOOSE! And I WANT HIM NOW! Great job!
I did enjoy Moose's book in this series the most. His love for his family was a great and when he finally let himself fall for Lilly they were great for each other. The one thing I did wonder is what happened about the whole incident with Rob? He gave them all that information on her former fiance' and his dad but then we hear nothing else about that. I hate when an author leaves me hanging if it is something that isn't going to be addressed.
Wow what happened to Lily because of the cartel her father was in. How she got out after all of the torture she endured. Turned her life around became a lawyer for women and children. Moose a great dad of two. What his ex put him and his kids they was sheer torture. So glad Lily became his lawyer. They got their HEA and a wonderful blended family from her past family and Moose and his two kids plus the whole MC family.
This is actually the first book that I've read by this author and it was awesome. This book was super HOT!!! Loved Lily and Moose. I can't wait for the next book to come out but before that I've got to go back and read the previous books in this series. Awesome book!!
There was just too much going on and not enough detail. It seemed more like rambled thoughts than a story. Missing words in the sentences. I enjoyed her other stories but this one felt rushed and forced.
A MC member and father of two needs help with an ex and the club lawyer is the answer. Princess is no hold bar lawyer with an attitude. But she will do everything to help Moose and his kids.
I can’t get over the fact that, despite being capable, the FMC stayed a prisoner and exposed herself to the abuses she endured. Her first chapter opens up to her kicking her attacker’s ass, killing him, and escaping. Why did she wait to escape? Why let herself be assaulted at all if she’s so clearly capable of protecting herself? Didn’t make sense. So… DNF
The Devils Highwaymen are back and we get to meet Moose. Well you already have met him but we get to know him. We find out how he came to the DHMC. He did not have an easy rode that is for sure. But he will do whatever he can for his kids. Their mother is just trash in my opinion. However, she is trying to take his kids and so he gets a lawyer who is tough as nails. We have met Lily in the previous books and good lord she has not had it easy either but she turned her life around. I was proud of her and it felt empowering to know that she did not let her past keep her from succeeding. These two have an attraction and when they are around each other they bristle. It is funny when they banter. Its like you can actually feel the tension when you are reading. Lord have mercy when these two collide it is hot and amazing. Oh and Lily is one take no prisoners, and will dole out some punishment. There is definitely a lot going on and trying to figure out what is going on. Once we do oh man does everything just blow up. Holy cow this book was amazing and touched on all the good things I love when reading. Lila Grey never disappoints and I cannot wait for wait will happen next.
When Jacob LaVoie/Moose’s girlfriend went out for infant formula, he didn’t expect her to come back without it as the baby cried from hunger and the toddler woke for mommy’s attention. He really didn’t expect her to say she didn’t want him or the kids and was done with that life. That was a decade ago.
After being kidnapped, beaten, repeatedly raped for the second time in her young life gangworld princess Lily Banks knew she had to stop depending on the men in her life and save herself. She did and though it took a few years, she made herself over and became a lawyer and a decade later she was focused on abused, forgotten women and children, pro bono.
As Lily and Moose work out enough issues to start working toward a romance, Lily’s ex decides he wants her back just as Moose’s ex decides she wants the kids.
All that said, there were a couple of nits that need to be picked as they affected this reader’s rating, one was the thread/character that just dropped with no explanation and both Lily and Moose were out of character on the same issue at the same time. Rating: 3.75stars
Five out five. He’s my favorite Devil’s Highwaymen. I love his kids. They are adorable and so sweet. Lily is a smart woman who can be very sassy and I loved reading her story even though it had a lot of heartbreak. I loved seeing more of the characters. A few times I wanted to smack Hawk for his wise remarks even though I know he loves Moose. I love how close they are as a club and the old ladies. I’m hoping to get more of a story on Javier. He seems like a good man with a dark soul. I’m also really curious about Parker. There’s some spice and some very sad parts, but Lila has a great way of showing her characters have a sweet heart even if sometimes it’s dark. I can’t wait for the next book. 💙🥰
I couldn't wait for Moose and Lily's story. I knew that the tension between these two would be explosive and Lila Grey did not disappoint!

My favorite couple of this series so far. I legit didn't want to stop reading to adult at all I just wanted to know what was going to happen next. The chemistry with this couple was perfection I couldn't get enough. I really enjoyed the enemies to lovers aspect the energy was electric. The twists and turns were awesome and I didn't see them coming. I loves the set up for the next book and am super excited to see where these characters go. Highly recommend reading this series it is awesome
Lily and Moose both have a hard and horrible past. Lily is a lawyer who is trying to forget her past and help the woman of Hope Hearted. When Moose's ex shows up to take the kids, Lily helps him and that is when she can't hold back the secret attraction.
There is a very fine line between love and hate, and Moose and Lily are the prime example.
I loved this book! Moose is a single dad who would do absolutely anything for his children and Lily is a woman who grew up in a violent life style but took that and turned it into something good. They make an amazing couple and their story is heart wrenching but so wonderful. Please check trigger warnings before you read!
Another amazing book from author Lila Grey. Lilly and Moose are perfect for eachother. I really loved these two together. I loved the storyline, it kept me interested. I didnt want to stop reading at all. I really enjoyed the characters. I enjoyed reading about them and getting to know them.
Moose, badass biker and devoted father. Lily, just an all around badass. Together they make their unconventional family one to be jealous of. I loved that this book introduced not only new storylines in the DHM world but also what I am hoping is a new series.
