A slightly adapted and translated version of the solo/micro game that became Mör Borg. Grab a handful of dice, a pencil and paper and begin your perilous delve into the DARK FORT.
Wonderfully entertaining and mostly randomised little solo game that is the bare bones that would become Mörk Borg. No story but the one that arises naturally out of the rolls and what decisions you can make, in these terrible circumstances. Having no real grounding in old-school RPGs, this reminded me of Doom, with those long dim corridors, and the monster sprites coming at you, all tooth and claw.
Although it is hard to talk about Dark Fort as a book sensu stricto, this brochure/booklet/pamphlet/flyer-ish publication is an actual solo tabletop game and an absolute MUST for everyone keen on old-school RPGs. It offers a range of grimy, bloody, unforgiving dark fantasy encounters in a brief, concise and simple form, and it plays good as 𝖍𝖊𝖑𝖑! All you need is a pair of D4 and D6 dice, a pencil and you're good to go and die in a ditch somewhere. Have your fun, I mean.
