So Goodreads is a little shaky on chapbooks, so I'll take this opportunity to mention some other rad ones I read in this period of my life: Berrigan and Brainard's translation of "The Drunken Boat" Peter Gizzi's "A panic that can still come upon me." Manuel Maples Arce's "CITY." Adhemar Ahmad's delirious "Hannibal Barca."
Not bad, but very dense. These poems could have been about 50% shorter and made their point just as well. I think this book is largely about luxury and status and the futility of the pursuit of either. Other than that I didn't think much of it.
