╰┈➤ “I don’t particularly like feet, but Piper’s are sexy as hell. I’d suck on each one… I groan too loudly and try to cover it with a cough.”
after that quote I knew that this wasn’t going to be good🥴 it took me so damn long to finish this book even though it’s a short one. Two stars because the found family trope. And that it’s me being generous
Also she likes to use his shirts after he works out… dirty… full of sweat…. that smells of sweat

“I don’t care. I like smelling you.” She lifts the collar to her nose.”
A teammate even calls her on the smell and she is just happy because she can “joke” like that with his friends😬

My face heats, and Tyler starts chuckling. “It’s not me.”
“Throwing your girl under the bus?” Ash quirks a brow. “Real nice, Sharpie.”
“I’m serious.”
Ash leans closer again and then his eyebrows raise. “P. Vaughn. Wow.”
Tyler kisses me.
“Well, I guess love is blind and has a loss of smell.”
“She likes to wear my workout shirts.” Tyler’s gaze dips over me.
I stick my tongue at him. It feels so good to be silly and joke with this group.
Anyways, I really like Rebecca’s work and I believe I haven’t rated any of her books lower than 3 stars but I had to force myself to finish this and the only reason I finally finished this was because I forgot the book I am currently reading at home and only had my phone to read at the college, otherwise God only knows when I would have finished this.

This was okay, I guess? Well, honestly, it was underwhelming. 🤷♀️ Nothing really happened in the first half of the story. Piper was dating someone else up until 44%, but has been reconnecting with Tyler because she's his sister's chaperone. I wouldn't say it was emotional cheating, but the attraction is very much there, and she's been fighting it or trying, idk.
I didn't understand Piper in the beginning, she said she was angry at Ty for leaving her four years ago. But when she saw him stressing over his sister, in a snap, all the anger faded away, all because he's a doting brother.
I thought that Ty would put in a lot of effort to show Piper how serious he was about her. I mean, granted, she had a boyfriend back then, so his attempts would've been futile. But for some reason, I still hoped he would back up his confession that he's still in love with her; unfortunately, there's none of that. They were just roommates who talked about his sister and nothing more.
Then, only a week after breaking up with her boyfriend, Piper got back with Ty without even having a serious conversation. They went ahead and decided to be in a relationship just like that. I can't believe that even after four years, these two can't still act maturely and can't have sincere talk before jumping into serious stuff.
Then this behavior of putting off important conversations annoyed me even more, almost at the end. Ty was giving Piper space because he thought he and his sister were too much to handle for her, and Piper thought this space was a way for Ty to break up with her again.
I mean, this is how he acted when they were 18, so she assumed the same thing. And instead of addressing both their concerns, Piper decided to postpone having sensible talk for days. 🤦♀️
She wanted to seduce Ty and make him realize that they were good together and that ending things between them shouldn't have been an option. 😑 They wasted so much time, and I wasted so much energy being annoyed. 😩
Overall, I didn't enjoy it. I liked that Ty was celibate, though. I think that's the only thing I enjoyed here. Ahhh, the teammates too; I liked their bromance and friendship. As for the MCs, I could care less about them; frankly, they didn't intrigue me. 🤷♀️
Also, Ty's sister pissed the crap out of me in the beginning. She's bratty, reckless, and rebellious, and I didn't enjoy her at all in the beginning, but as the story progressed, she gradually changed and became tolerable for me. I guess this is me problem; I just didn't like it. Maybe I'll enjoy the next book; who knows? 🤷♀️

This was really sweet. I love a good second-chance romance. And the dynamic between Tyler and his sister was so sweet. I loved how Piper fit in perfectly with their little family!

Wild About You is a second chance, hockey romance that absolutely blew me away. I honestly do not ever reach for this trope, but Tyler and Piper navigating their way to a second chance at love and then some had me up until 2AM so I could finish it ASAP!
Tyler and Piper dated long distance during their senior year of high school. Four years later they’ve found themselves back in each other’s lives thanks to the Tyler’s teenage sister who is currently in his care, and also attending the high school where Piper works. These two falling back in love is a slow process, but the build to it through Everly and the Wildcat hockey team connections just felt so natural.
Wild About You is sweet, emotional, with a dash of funny to lighten up some of the hard bits. I loved Tyler and Piper and I adored Everly. I also adored that dash of found family we find in the Wildcats and other side characters. The way everyone rallied around Tyler and Everly and showed Tyler that family comes in all different forms.
I don’t know. I think this book is probably one of my top reads from Ms. Jenshak. It was one I just didn’t want to put down, and I’m still smiling thinking about some parts of this book. Highly recommend to anyone who enjoys second chance romance!

Wild About You is not exactly I wish it is. I have high expectationfor Miss Jenshak. I want more from her.
The characters are lovely on their own way. When they finally moved into romance, the chemistry feels off in some part. Plus not helping when the plot is flat.
It is not entirely bad story/ book. It's just need a kick into the drama. More emotional chemistry.

I love love love second chance romances and this book was so good. Not only were Piper and Tyler the absolute cutest but I love the whole friend group dynamic. All of the guys showing up for Everly made my heart so happy and seeing Leo and Scarlett so happily in love put the biggest smile on my face. I can’t wait for the next book in this series. 🫶🏻

Wild About You was a very good read.
The storyline shows less time spent playing hockey and more time spent trying to find the right pace to live happily, surrounded by people who love you.
Tyler is a rookie hockey player for the Wildcats, he’s having a good season, he lives alone in a one bedroom apartment near the arena. He is satisfied and excited until his little sister, Everly, comes living with him destroying his comfortable routine, and bringing with her some chaos. It’s not all bad when thanks to an Everly mischief the high school principal calls her brother and Tyler finds again Piper, his unforgettable first love. Will Tyler take advantage of this opportunity to reconquer Piper? Will Piper forgive Tyler after all the pain he has put her through?
I liked to follow Tyler and Piper journey, it shows in the first few chapters that there isn’t a villain in this story even if Tyler left Piper when they were together years before. It seems like you know them and you cheer for them because you feel that their love for each other is pure and genuine, and you know true love is forever.
I adored to see the team to come together and to take care of one of their owns like a family, in this case even better than a real blood related family, also helping with some high school homeworks.
I already can’t wait to know who the main hero is in the next book of this series.
I recommend to read this novel, it could be read as a standalone.

This audiobook was a perfect mix between sweet and fulfilling!
Tyler and Piper dated when they were younger, and because of his schedule with hockey, they had to break up even when they still loved each other very much.
If it was sweet to hear Tyler talking about his dream girl in the first book, to see them finding their way back to each other again was swoon worth it!
Their relationship was what dreams are made of! Together they navigate to reconnect after 4 years apart, and became a family along with his sister and the guys.
I freaking love the guys!
I want a book for all of them!
They truly are a family in and out of the arena! They're teammates, friends and family all in one great group of big guys!
I also loved that there wasn't a split conflict between Tyler and Piper, and the conflict aspect of the story, was about Tyler's sister.
I also hope that she's the one to share a love story with Declan... That would be awesome!

Wild About You is a super cute second chance story. Four years ago Tyler broke Piper's heart when he decided he knew what was best for her and that wasn't him. He just had too much stuff going on to be the man she needed as he started his professional hockey career. But fate had different plans and when his troubled sister has an intervention at school he is super surprised that his old love is sitting at the table. Now that she's back in his sights, he has no intention of letting her go this time - whether she likes it at first, or not.
I can't say that I'm the biggest fan of the "I broke up with you in the past because I know better than you and you're too good for me" trope, but this one was pretty darn cute. I loved that she REALLY made him work for it and didn't just fall into his arms - whether she really wanted to or not, lol. They had a lot of sweet energy and chemistry between them and his relationship with his sister made him that more endearing. I'm super excited for the rest of the books in the series, but I'm definitely going to be looking out for the one with his sister and hopefully 🤞🏻Declan :)

Wild About You is the second book in Rebecca Jenshak’s Wildcat Hockey series and this one has a hockey hero who becomes the guardian of his teenage sister and a second chance romance between him and his highschool ex!
Tyler felt like he had it all: a rising career playing professional hockey, best stats of any rookie in the league, great teammates… And then his 17-year old sister, Everly, shows up at his doorstep saying she wants to live with him and dropped out of her highschool. Tyler becomes her guardian even though she’s about to turn 18, gets her back in highschool, and helps get her life back on track. He ends up running into one of her teachers and realizes it’s his ex, Piper! Piper and Tyler dated in highschool 4 years ago, they were long distance, and he always thought of her as the “one who got away”. Tyler ends up needing help with his sister and asks Piper for help when he’s busy with hockey since Everly has been going through a rough time and getting into trouble lately.
This one I enjoyed more than the first book in the series! I liked how devoted Tyler was to Piper, he never even thought of anyone else in the years apart. It was nice seeing his relationship with his sister and helping her out, as well as Piper’s friendship with his sister. This was just sweet and low angst!

I’ve only read a few books by Rebecca thus far but I’m thinking I should start reading a whole lot more because her stories are easy to get lost in and make for a great reading experience!
PERFORMANCE REVIEW & RATING: 5 STARS
The narration by Joe Arden and Emma Wilder was really top-notch. They worked well together and also both did an exceptional job of bring the story to life and not just narrating. Well done to them both!

I loved it, but at the same time, hmmmmmm …
The overall feel to Wild About You is one of contentment and joy. It wasn’t perfect for me, but I was still super happy thru my entire listening experience. Without giving away any plot-points, I’ll say that there are several circumstances that play a major part in the storyline that just weren’t realistic. A better way to say that, I think, is to say that they needed a bit more fleshing out in order for me to even understand the motivation behind them. I’m not going to even put these circumstances inside a spoiler thread because if I’m being honest, while they were happening, I was hmmmmmm but yet they didn’t put off my satisfaction throughout the story as a whole.
Okay, enough about the hmmmmmmm, because I want to touch on something the author did an exceptional job with :) Not once did I feel like these characters were New Adult, and they were! They are actually in their early 20s and I had zero clue until I actually did the math in my head and that was waaaaaaaaaay into the story! The story doesn’t vibe with what I know to be true to this age group and I cannot tell you how happy that made me. For me, it was a moment of pure joy when my brain said ”well, I’ll be damned, these people are super young and I didn’t even know it!!” Not gonna lie, that’s some super word wizardry right there and I have to give mad props for it! Well done!

Oh wow. This might just be one of my top books by Rebecca, next to my babe Zeke! This book felt so different than Rebecca's previous stories in the best way. I absolutely LOVED how Tyler and Piper's love story began and continued. It seemed so easy and effortless at first, but as with all great romances, the characters were forced to fight for their happily ever after. But even more than the sizzling chemistry between Ty and Piper were the hilarious and show-stealing side characters we get to see! They all added so much depth and humor to the storyline, and I truly loved reading about them all. I hope we finally get Jack or Declan's story next as I am so curious about their back stories ♡

tyler & piper are the cutest. i’ll never get tired of a good second-chance romance, and following their journey was such a great experience. from the very beginning, it’s clear that there’s no villain in this story—even though tyler left piper years ago, it never felt like he was the bad guy. their love for each other is so pure and genuine that you can’t help but root for them. it’s the kind of love that truly lasts forever.
one of my favorite things was seeing the team come together like a family. they took care of their own in a way that sometimes even blood relatives don’t. from emotional support to helping with high school homework, their bond was everything.

Okuduğum en güzel ikinci şans kitaplarından biriydi. Kitap ve konusu bakıldığında çok farklı değil ve aman aman bir anlatıma da sahip değil ancak karakterler ve iletişimleri beni çok etkiledi. Ve içine çekti. Tyler'in bir anda kendini 18 yaşında ki kardeşinin koruyucusu olarak bulması ile üstlendiği sorumluluk ve aynı zamanda 4 sene önce ayrıldığı (ona yeterli gelemediğini düşündüğü için) ve tek aşkı olan Piper ile karşılaşması ile yaşadığı duygusal şok..kendisi de çok büyük olmadığı düşünürsek her durumu büyük bir olgunlukla karşıladı. Ve kardeşine karşı hissettiği o sorumlulukları duygusuna eridim. Ayrıca takımın da kardeşini benimsemsi ve heo birlikte takılmaları çok güzeldi.
Piper'in ise başta korumacı şekilde yaklaşması bence çok doğaldı. Çünkü bir kere kırılmış ve terk edilmiş tekrar güvenmek konusunda ben daha çok zorlanırdım mesela.

I am simply WILD about these Wildcat hockey players! Wild About You is yet another sweet and sexy adventure with one of the most delicious found families of hockey players out there. The swoony side of this second chance romance really snuck up on me and captured my whole heart. Chock full of endearing moments and laced with that usual Wildcat humorous charm, Rebecca Jenshak scores yet again.
I’m not gonna lie, Tyler isn’t quite as flashy as some of the other Wildcat characters. I wasn’t sure what we were going to get with him, and because of this and his past misunderstanding with our heroine, he had to work a little bit harder to earn my love. But the minute I saw how devoted this man was to both of the women that mattered most to him, we got the full swoony RJ guy at the end. And ultimately, Tyler is a man who is just a bit misunderstood. His steady stoicism can be mistaken for detachment, but this is a man who feels DEEPLY. He’s always struggled with his own worthiness, and as such, he quietly sacrifices for those around, often without including them his choices. We see and feel the impact of that- and that’s the heart of this story- and his intentions don’t always line up with the impact of his actions. But it comes from a place of good- he wants to protect and care for others, his love runs so deep he makes choices he thinks only hurt him to protect those he cares for, but it hurts others. As always, RJ exposes his real heart underneath his youthful and emotional mistakes. And his lessons are hard learned. And many has some swoony secrets under his belt!
The heart of this romance really comes down to our heroine though. Piper. Tyler has an almost-obsessive adoration for her, and the success of this second chance really hinges not only on her capacity to grow herself, to move beyond the once passive girl whose heart was broken into a woman who fights for her love, but also her ability to help TYLER see beyond himself and his mistakes. It’s a lot on a heroine’s shoulders, but it means the ball’s in Piper’s court for most of this story, and I really loved her possessing much of the power in not only this relationship but in their character arcs. And she does NOT make it easy on Tyler- which I really appreciated. Too many second chance romances build angst for such an easy forgiveness, and here RJ let’s some angst brew and allows two truths to dwell- she can always LOVE Tyler, to care for him, without easily taking him back. That's such a great "second chance' touch- even if she wasn't sure about ever dating him again, she didn't want to see him struggle- that felt real, and honest. Her overarching authenticity makes her lovable and realistic heroine - she’s real with everyone around her, including being real with herself.
What makes this series so special though are the platonic romances that play throughout. Like always, we have the amazing bromances that give us the right dash of comedic fodder as well as the heartfelt advice “pushes” as just the right moments- but this one felt extra special, as we see the guys really come through for Tyler as he adjusts to his new family reality. These guys have always been a found family, and that juxtaposition rings all the more sweetly given the family turmoil Everly and Tyler have faced. But the best romance of all is the one of Everly and Tyler- watching these two figure out how to be loving siblings after years of disconnection and having a pretty poor model of family love on their own. Them getting to know each other, finding their new harmony and new “normal”- well, it was just so darn endearing. This relationship is not only a great catalyst to pull him together with Piper, but it's also a great source of humor and heart and really deepens our connection with Tyler. I loved how Tyler had to figure out himself and what he wanted by being confronted by two women he loves the most but has been distant from/has kind of let down. And he shows up in a big way for them.

This was my first book by this author so I didn't know what to expect. I enjoyed this and can't wait to read more by this author.
I really liked our characters and side characters. Especially Tyler's teammates! The way they cared for Everly and helped Tyler out was honestly the best part of this series.
The romance was sweet, but it took a bit of time before it got started. Second chance romances can be tricky, however, Tyler and Piper were good together. I liked how supportive of each other they were. Even though there were some things that could have gone wrong, the author didn't give us a miscommunication issue. It was so refreshing. This did have some steamy moments! I wish we could have had more, especially since they were separated for so long but that's just personal preference.
All in all, this was a cute second chance romance. If you're interested in sports romance and want an easy read, then pick this one up. I'm curious to see what happens next in this series.

Rebecca Jenshak's Wildcat Hockey books are the hockey books I've been searching for since The Off Campus Series. Tyler and Piper are just too dang CUTE! (especially Tyler) He's just so gone for Piper I cant even express his cuteness! So Tyler and Piper dated a few years back but it didn't work out at the time because Tyler was trying to get into the NHL and honestly didn't have time for a girlfriend. Even though he was basically in love with Piper he broke up with her because he knew it wouldn't be fair to drag her through his brutal hockey schedule. Many years later, Tyler is meeting his half sister's principal and her new teacher and guess who walks in the door.....PIPER! GAH! 😍
