When modern society breaks apart... where will you turn?
This is a three-part boxed set collection of the MELT series, combining the original ten books into a convenient 3-part package. It was supposed to be a ground-breaking MELT, a newly created compound they promised would revolutionize waste processing.
When things don't go as planned and the city begins to implode, Bill and Alice Everlee are caught on opposite sides of the divide.
Stuck at ground zero as the city begins to sink around her, Alice races to discover what is causing the disaster and how to stop it - if she even can.
Meanwhile, having received a frightening message from his wife, Bill hurries to pack everyone up at home before racing to a remote cottage in upstate New York to begin preparing for the coming storm...
***** A new, intensely thrilling series, MELT has received unanimous praise from beta readers and early reviewers alike. Written by JJ Pike and Mike Kraus, MELT examines a part of our world that we often take for granted. Add in a dash of real science, a collection of flawed, realistic characters, and a glimpse of what the future might hold in store and you're presented with the recipe for a frightenly real post-apocalyptic thriller. This is part 1 of a 3-part collection of boxed sets that combine the original ten MELT novels into a convenient three-part package. This part contains the following
I loved this story. Over the span of MELT - Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3, 9 or 10 books (I lost count) and close to 2,000 pages, the authors were still able to hold my attention. Still sleep deprived but this is what I love. A great story plot, 99.9% clean language and still appeals to all ages. I have and will continue to recommend this series to all that ask ( and to those who don't ask)! Mike Kraus and J.J. Pike thanks for writing this story and I hope you write more like this!
Very interesting storyline. Characters were brilliant in most ways. Some were just hard to fathom why they just ended up being the bad guys. It all came together in the last 100 pages but I think it could hve taken a book out. There was a lot of the same scenarios played out slightly differently. Still worthy of a read
I loved this series! The people, the problems everything! At times there was TMI for mine to understand but I loved as I have all of your books. No Zombies either! Keep up the great work!
I really liked the characters being portrayed as real people. The story had so many facets to be explored that it didn't get boring even though altogether it was 3000 pages or more. There were surprises around every corner.
I didn't like the way the characters kept having conversations with missing family in there heads. It was to much. But overall the story was heartening and family orientated. Thoroughly enjoyed.
These books have fast paced action and fascinating characters. I recommend these books to all readers that are interested in learning more about post apocalypse fiction.
This is the best . It captured me from the beginning to the last word. The characters were my family. I am distressed that It is finished. I want Aggie for a daughter and MaggieLoo to be my pooch. Thank. You Pike and Klaus.
Great premise, believable, well written and researched. Hopefully this never actually happens because With the amount of processed foods I eat I would be a prime target for Melt +
Wow my name was in this book lol a first for me. Loved this series. It takes you to places you never knew existed. ( In the mind ) So well written guys congratulations.
This review is for the whole series. I was glued to these books very spill bond. Yes there were sometimes when I would skip pages but I tend to do that with books that I'm really into. This series made me think about today everything is plastic everywhere. Will any of this happen in the future... Hmmm makes you think!
