The commentary managed to find a balance between brief and thorough. It was so rewarding because it answered many questions (not doubts, but a need for clarity or more in-depth study) I had about the bible raised during by years of attending bible studies and sermons. The style is clear and the view is conservative. It encourages me to read other commentaries with the hope I can get as much knowledge as quickly and reliably, and to compare. I would certainly read other books by Kent.

Very brief. At times a mere summary and not that helpful. However, there were insights and ways of expressing truths that were helpful. A conservative faithful to the text summary commentary.
